This Walmart is absolutely terrible and I feel compelled to share why and offer advice that if you can avoid this Walmart, do it at all costs. First, the parking lot structure is terrible; there are areas where there SHOULD be stop signs but instead, it's a free for all. Second, 8/10 there's no shopping carts available to use and they're all over the parking lot, in the grass towards the END of the parking lot and who knows where else Third, it is an absolute zoo in there. Good luck maneuvering around without hitting anyone with your cart and if you do, prepare for a dirty look from someone you don't even know while making you feel like you're scum of the earth. This isn't Walmarts fault; it's the general populations fault. Fourth, everything in the beauty department is locked up minus a few things of course and it took over 15 minutes of me continuously pressing the button for assistance, to even be helped. Well, when someone finally is able to assist you; that item is taken up to the register and by the time you're ready to check out, you have no idea where it's located so your cashier has to go find it. I understand there may be a lot of theft but the amount of items locked up is so irritating and such a waste of time Fifth, the wait times in the lines are at least 15-30 minutes, not even kidding. Even the self-check out line takes awhile and even there, you have someone hovering over you helping you scan. It's so weird and unnecessary It's a very strange place to be in and not worth the headache if you can avoid it. read more

I'm glad I don't shop at this location anymore! The only time I have patronaged this location is because of Ubereats. A gentleman gave to my vehicle and tapped twice my driver's side window, since I didn't like! Normally, the person would knock on the trunk, which is preferable! Nevertheless, today while the gentleman was putting the items in my car, I walked to the blue bins to see whose items were whose because he tried to put both of the customers items in the trunk instead of one customer's items in the trunk and the other in the back or the front. This way the customer gets the right items. When he was done, he said "you must have not done this before!" I vehemently was shocked that he said that because it seemed he was saying that I was incompetent, which I'm not! Then he said, I was just asking a question! And then he had the nerve to tie all the bags together to make one large group of bags! Go figure when I got to the first customer's house, she noticed it. I apologized and informed her what he did and she said don't worry about it because this location is rude anyway! And one of the bags for the second customer, was partially ripped. In the notes, I informed her of what the gentleman did also. Thankfully, I got a tip for these orders. Very careful at this location. Aisles are full of pallets of items to be stocked making it nearly impossible to get around the store. The store only has 4 regular cash registers and only one of those was lit, even though 3 were operating. This didn't help the checkout times though. I must have waited 30 minutes in line. Half the self-checkouts (South side of store) were lit green but all were out of order. For the north self-checkouts, half of those were also out of order and the line stretches back to the BACK aisle of the store. Whoever is supposedly in charge of this store needs to be replaced, like, YESTERDAY and bring in someone who knows how to run a store read more

While our community absolutely needs this place, it also has to be better. Management has to get better at inventory management, staff deployment and training, Every time I'm hear, I fear that I'm going to be run over by staff speeding through the aisles with wheel lifts and pallets shewing customers out of the way. Good luck getting help locating an infrequently bought non-grocery item or product identified as being available at this store online. I pray that the jobs and tax base supporting the surrounding communities remain. But I'm not confident the management support currently backing the young and inexperienced staff is sustainable. read more

Walmart took cash iers out of they're store probably to save from having to pay humans.Added auromatic registers.After the pandemic everyone including walmart took part in price gauging.Making affordable merchandise hardly affordable. I'm guessing shoplifting started happening. Once shoppers rang up they're own carts Walmart wanted people to line up and allow employees to check shoppers were having it, shoppers saying if they do the stores work by ringing up, they're merchandise thay won't be checked. So now when you shop in the Evergreen Park store half of the selfcheckout register are not in use and employees are assisting in chechout ,which is causing long lines.Everything is under lock and key.There are automated machines to let the store know what department a customer needs assistance, yesterday me and another customer waited 10 or more minutes using the machine as wellas trying to flag down an employee.Since this system was resently adapted I find myself shopping in other stores, and because Walmart has also adapting in price gauging them having the better price is no longer an option for me read more

Never again. I ordered a few things on Friday for pickup, went in Saturday. Previously, there was a kiosk where I would check in, and my order would be brought to me in a few minutes. Now, the only way to pick up an order is to call a phone number posted in the store. I didn't have my phone with me, so what to do? An employee checking the self-checkers' baskets told me to go to customer service. Customer service tells me to call the posted number. I don't have a phone, so they page someone. Several pages over 45 minutes, no one comes. I ask for the store manager, who I'm told is unavailable. Same for the front end manager. I left, went home, and cancelled the order. It wasn't that long ago that this store had decent customer service. I'll never go there again. read more

It's sad when you have to give a negative review of a business. This morning I went to Walmart Evergreen Park, to get a few items. Milk, juice, water, etc. I spent $16 on food items and another $13 for personal items. ALL the items were bagged. Again it's 6:30 am and this lady at the door ask for my receipts and looks through my things. Again, it's 6:30am and did I say my items were bagged????? Mehhh I'm kind of forced to use this location because it's the closest in proximity to me but I rarely have a uneventful visit when I come either they only have 3 cashiers going for multitude of people or they have ran out of specific item or please don't have anything shipped here from from Walmart online you will wait at least a half an hour just for them to locate it and retrieve it in the longest customer service line you ever seen in your life. What are the last times I was at this location a female customer was yelling to the top of her lungs for a manager to come ASAP to assist her I was embarrassed for her. I normally try to prioritize everything that I need and get out of there in under 30 minutes or less and make eye contact with a particular cashier to see if she's going to open up for me make sure to be prepared for any or everything that may happen read more

I've lived in the EP neighborhood for 50 years and I've seen this Walmart go from efficient to raggedy crap. Out of all the Walmarts I've shopped at, this location is BY FAR THE WORST. The store is always in shambles, hardly anyone is working because they are all outside on a million breaks, never any available carts because the attendants are to busy socializing to corral them. I had to wait with 3 other customers outside for an available cart. Management is non existent. There is a very large self check out area, employees are YELLING at customers, "next customer register 5, next customer register 12" and so on and do forth. The store is not properly managing products I found 3 boxes of pasta that were outdated, and a few sodas outdated as well. Avoid this place if possible. read more

Worst Walmart I have I ever need employees rude some are just standing around. There's a handful of them not even wearing there mask correctly. I had to ask about 4 -5 people for help and they just said I don't know. Except this older Gentleman in the garden section who tried to help. Other then that I was going to call the manager but I just had it and wanted to leave. There was no grocery bags. Not sure why they have there items on "sale" and not updated it why to the register. Had to call help once again and they were like "if it's not showing in the system then it's that price" even though it's on the floor for another price. Most of them seems not wanting to work there. Upfront there's a bunch of people standing and talking. They don't clean there parking spots ether they could but salt at least hard to push the carts. Wish it was bit more strict. Customer service has diminished greatly. Twice!! On two separate occasions I've horrible customer service. Cashiers talking on their cellphones, cashiers discussing their plans after work, giving miss information and more. First time; I bought some organic soups that were marked down for clearance. Stated that prices were sliced instead of checking or verifying prices she stated " that's wrong because it's organic. Organic don't usually go on sale." Another staff and I walked back to aisle to confirm that the clearance was right. Second time; my mother and I were shopping for a bike. The rung up as $89.99, the tag on the bike was marked as $79.99, sales marked online as $79.99. " well the price on the register says $89.99" I tracked the down another staff who helped to confirm what I said. She grudgingly changed the price. After wiping my credit card & signing I noticed the bike seat was damaged. I alerted her & I wanted to switch to another one that's was in eye sight. She said I had to go to Customer service. Switch them out at customer service. Wow!! She was so busy talking about buying Rachel ray cookware than giving decent customer service. I called today to speak to someone in customer service regarding my missing order from last week October 13th. This is the store where my order was supposed to be packed at and because customer service online was giving me the same song and dance act, I decided to call them to see if they could help. The employee that answered the line was Maria and at first she just had a normal tone. When she told me that she couldn't do anything and tried to race off the phone, I simply asked " Well why does it prompt you to pick customer service online then? Her tone grew extremely harsh and she ended every sentence with a harsh answer. Now, somebody has stolen my money and Walmart is trying to keep it, because whoever package it obviously stole the groceries. It's been a rollercoaster ride and Maria made it worst. However, currently, this location is going through a major remodeling process (I believe its going to become a Super Center) therefore, their staff is all over the place. As far as the "Site to Store" service goes, It offers valuable FREE shipping to this and any other location and the estimated arrival of the items is from 7 to 10 days. He hates going to Walmart, but he will go with me if I ask (so sweet).This location has actually improved. We visited this location in the afternoon and the items were still neatly organized. Some Walmarts around this time has merchandise that is picked through and unorganized. The customer service has also improved from the past year. The employees are very helpful. So far this year they have the best holiday decorations. The only negative is that it's not as big as other Walmarts, so they don't have as much merchandise. Wal-Mart Bakery in Evergreen Park is the best for birthday cakes! The bakery staff are the best! They have put together cakes on last moments notice. They have a good selection of cakes. They so many textures and designs to choose from. I use Wal-Mart's cakes to help create what I envision. There cakes offer more than Sams Club, Jewels, and Meijers combined. You can always count on great customer service at the Evergreen Park location. Ive included some of the cakes ive created ober the years using Walmarts bakery. read more

I have been going to Walmarts for many years. I recently moved to Evergreen park and let me tell you... NEVER EVER go here! I have been shopping here for everything for the past month and have never met so many rude and dumb people. First of all, let me tell you this... I am a VERY happy young, white woman. A newleywed, just got a new apartment, have a great job as a nurse. Overall, I am a happy person so this is not like me to write awful reviews like this. 1st off- I am standing in line at the check out and I say hello (with a chipper tone and a big smile) to the check out lady who completely ignored me. She wouldn't even make eye contact with me or acknowledge I was standing there. However, she was so nice to greet the other African american customer in front of me & had a flown blown conversation with her. Then as the lady behind me comes up she is nice to greet her and say hello. It's called respect and good customer service. And this cashier had NONE of that! 2nd of all- EVERYONEEEE at this store is lazy. The parking lot has carts all over the place. Now, I'm not saying its the workers but the customers at this store are lazy. They are obnoxious both outside of the store and inside of the store. I cannot stand it. 3rd- I asked someone where the Worchestershire sauce was and...they looked at me like I had five heads. They were asking everyone if they knew what that was and all the works were so confused... they even asked the manager of the food department. REALLY... you don't know? Overall, do not go here. I normally would never shop here, but I was waiting for a pizza from Milano's and decided to kill some time. I've been to other Walmarts, some are actually pleasant to shop at, this is just the worst I've ever been to. This is just the absolute worst place I've been in my life. I should've left when I parked my car and someone shouted "HEY! I NEED A JUMP!" at me when I was about 15 cars away. It just seemed odd, especially with two large men sitting in the car. I ignored her, and she continued to shout. They then drove off. Funny, I thought they needed a jump. Now, there weren't any parking spots at 8:00 on a Monday night. There should have been, but the carts in the corral were backed up out of the corral and about 50 feet back, covering a whole bunch of spots. There was one person getting carts, he was bringing in a whole five at a time. Inside the store, the layout sucks, the aisles are too small, and the customers seem to shop in groups, about 5 people wide, just to block aisles. I guess you need that many to block an aisle since they'll be out of carts. Beth's review doesn't do the horrid store justice, it's so much worse than she said. As you can imagine, it's winter in Chicago, and there's snow on the ground. Every inch of the floor was covered with salty, muddy footprints. It's obvious the floor hasn't been cleaned here in several days. I've been to other Walmarts, I was at Menards only an hour before here, and the floors look nowhere near as disgusting as this store. The highlight of the shopping experience here was the guy that looked like he'd smoked a few too many crack rocks. He could barely walk, had a crazy look in his eyes, had his hood up and was looking around like someone was trying to get him. Of course, what I did want to buy there was sold out and not restocked. Even if it was there, I think I'd pay 10 times the price to not have to stand in a checkout line here. I can't imagine anyone wanting to shop here. There is no product, no discount, worth setting foot in this place. There are probably 4 Walmart's within a 5-15 minute drive from my house, all offering the same deals, prices, goods. Depending on the errands I am running, I may hit this one up early on a Saturday or Sunday morning. I am assuming that since I am usually there before 9:30am, I am missing the crowd. I am usually in and out relatively fast and service has always been friendly. They have a nice large parking lot, that isn't riddled with potholes - parking is easy. The store is no more trashed that any other Walmart, and I never have an issue finding anything. The shelves are well stocked. Overall, it's a Walmart with decent prices. read more

This store is my Hell. Yes, I should not shop at Walmart but the rolos I use for my holiday cookies are so cheap here. Clientele do not know how to navigate with shopping carts or without them. Im like nothing then when I'm looking for my card in which I end up finding at home, she's behind me again and says what's the problem. I then only get 2 items and use my walmart pay app. So I tell customers service about it. After a week, no callback. I end up speaking to Ignorant Ignatius who claims to be the assisstant manager. Right from the beginning, he has an attitude and says she wasn't harassing you. Only time they come is if you cancel an item or press help. I came in here today to buy some paint with my mother.I talked to not just one but four workers, one woman just walked away from me while I was talking to them. The other three workers said that they were going to get someone but no one came. I called the manger twice, and they announced over the intercom twice...no one showed up. I had to stop two more empolyies to helped me. The only one who helped us was a very nice man named Sean. He should get a raise because this wasn't his Department and he was very helpful. read more
