I usually never ever go in Walmart, but I was convinced to take someone else to get some clothes for their kid. so we were waiting by the fitting rooms for what seems like an exorbitant amount of time. we were also pushing the call button regularly and nobody ever showed up. Eventually I tracked down an associate who informed us that the fitting rooms would be closed permanently. Yes, Walmart will no longer have fitting rooms. Maybe I'm new to the whole Walmart thing but I spent a solid couple hours here getting lost in all the affordable options and dreaming of crafts and projects to come! For starters, right as you walk in the east(?) entrance the dessert section is smack dab in front of you to your right, right next to the vegetables section might I add. They have mini pies for $0.50 each, such a wide variety of cookie flavors, and don't get me started on the cinnamon and apple breads. And for veggies, they had avocados for $0.90 each.. In Santa Barbara that would be a newspaper headline! I was surprised at how little wine and craft beer packs they had but happy to find Lagunitas IPAs. This Walmart, or any other grocery stores, do not carry hard alcohol either so you'll have to venture to an ABC Liquor store nearby for all tequila and other spirits desires. Their home decor, storage, crafting, event supplies, gluten free, and women's hair products aisles all shocked with their various options and very affordable prices. I wasn't however super fond of the garden section as it seemed to focus most on lawn mowers and outdoor planting rather than incorporate indoor and house plant options. I wouldn't recommend this place for organic fresh vegetables, house plants, or women's clothing. I also hear it's definitely not the safest spot in the world after 5 pm, and while I had a great experience I can understand why. The Walmart on Skibo Rd. has to be one of the worst around and they should be shut down by the Cumberland County Health Department for violating health laws and standards without any doubts at all. On my way home from the office I had to stop into this Walmart on Skibo Rd. to pick up a couple of things I needed. After I parked and as I was walking towards the store I had noticed a significant amount of law enforcement driving around in the parking lots. They looked like they were looking for someone. I also seen a lot of these private security vehicles driving around. As I was walking into the store I had noticed there was a lot of low life and vermin of the Earth hanging around outside. I was in the Walmart for about 20 minutes and I was able to get everything that I needed and I went up to the front to pay for all of my items. The line I was in there was about 5 people in front of me and the cashier they had working was beyond slow and she was more interested when it was her break time and to top it off, she had bad body odor. I paid for everything and I started to walk towards the exit to leave the store and I had to stop into the Men's room to urinate and wash my hands. When I went into the Men's room there was a very bad odor and rancid stench and it was revolting to my stomach. There was other Men in the Men's room using the other urinals. I walked up to one of the available urinals and I looked down and I looked again and I couldn't believe what I was seeing because someone had defecated severe diarrhea into the urinal and it was filled to the top and ready to overflow. This was no accident and was some type of a malicious act for sure. Whoever did this could have had the common decency to go into a stall and do it in a toilet bowl. I was going to attempt to flush it but I decided not to due to the fact it would have overflowed and ran all over the Men's room floor and ran out into the store area and someone could have slipped and fell in it. I was sick to my stomach from the sight and the offensive rancid stench coming from it. I took a quick photo of it as evidence and proof. I left the Men's room and I went up to the customer service counter and I demanded to see the store manager. The person behind the counter paged him. A couple of minutes later he came from the back and he said to me, "Sir, welcome to Walmart, how can I help you?". I replied, "Sir, how can you help me? do me a favor and go into the Men's room and look at the urinal in there that is filled to the top with severe diarrhea and that's how you can help me!". The manager went into the Men's room and he was not even in there more than a minute and he came out of the Men's room with his hand over his mouth and shaking his head and he came up to me and said, "Sir, I'm sorry you had to experience something like this in our restrooms, however this has been under full investigation because it's been happening on a daily basis and we believe it is employee related". I was appalled and I looked at him in shock and said, "Employee related and you mean to tell me you have people who work here that do disgusting things like that and then possibly handle people's food?". He replied, "I'm afraid so until the person who has been doing this is caught and fired". I replied, "Listen up and listen up good!, the next time I come in here and spend my hard earned money and I ever find something like that ever again in your Men's room, I am going to call the Cumberland County Health Department and have them send a health inspector down here and I guarantee this Walmart will be shut down and you will be out of a job!". My son is 28 years old. He has anxiety issues which cause him to have severe panic attacks and he also has a diagnosis of Asperger's/Autism. He has come to the SMARTSTYLE SALON on several occasions. He felt very comfortable there, enough that he usually goes by himself. I just happen to be hanging out with him today 3/29/24 so I went with him and I AM SO glad I did. The assistant manager at the salon instigated a verbal event with a person in the salon. My son and I walked into the SmartStyle Salon where we found the stylist Suncura. She met us with a warm welcome. As she began working on my son's haircut. Another lady came in and sat down beside my son and she spoke to the stylist and this person also greeted me. We were having a conversation as my son was getting his hair cut. The assistant manager instigated a verbal confrontation with the lady that came in - doing this in front of us (too many things conspired during this event to note here and went on on for at least 5 to 10 minutes). I finally had to get in between the assistant manager and the stylist and told the assistant manager; this needs to stop that my son has anxiety issues and has a diagnosis of Autism and this may send him into a severe panic attack. She, the assistant manager, backed away and told me she also has anxiety and panic attacks. I told her she should then understand how this event is inappropriate and unsettling, even for a typical person. She agreed but then continued to verbally say things. The other lady left the salon. The assistant manager appeared to be under the influence of something looking at her erratic behavior, incoherent speech and actions. She could have definitely handled this in a different and more appropriate way. My son told me he now does not feel safe or comfortable coming back to this establishment, which sets us so far back in his gains. For me, his mother, this is devastating. This could have been much more devastating and a huge issue/event for my son. The stylist tried her best to deescalate this situation several times and was very apologetic to us. We are very appreciative of that. I am very upset and sick about this event taking place in front of us. This could have sent my son into a terrible state. He was very upset, discombobulate, and panicky after this. We had to step out and take several minutes after this event to calm him down and get himself under control so we could do our shopping. Again, we are very appreciative of Ms. Suncura, the stylist, trying to keep the situation under control and being apologetic. I was made aware that Suncura, the stylist, was terminated because of this event. I feel it was not instigated by her and she tried her best to be professional. I hope the assistant manager is dealt with for this unnecessary handling of this situation. read more

The deli food is always good in the mornings. They have plenty of clearance clothing for women, I just wish they had more for everyone else. I can hardly ever get an answer on the phone and when I do, it's customer service repeatedly having to attempt transferring me to a department. AUTO DEPARTMENT IS GREAT! They always answer my phone calls. The air here usually doesn't smell like anything unless you walk past other customers. The bathrooms are okay. I shop there when I need to, but when I want to go shopping and something else is open, I usually don't go here. read more

This past weekend my husband and I bought a 70" t.v. from the Walmart on Skibo Rd. in Fayetteville. We decided to purchase the t.v. from Walmart because we are frequent customers there. The box was large and very bulky. A kind stranger saw us struggling with the box in the parking lot and helped us get it loaded. We decided to return the t.v. and took it back the same day. My husband parked out front and I went inside to get a cart and get assistance with unloading the box. We are both senior citizens and knew we would have a difficult time unloading the t.v. I inquired about a cart and assistance from the greeter at the front door. She directed me back to the electronics department. When I approached the clerk in the electronics about the cart and assistance, she said she would have to go in the back to get the cart. As she told me this, she rolled her eyes at me and headed to the back as if this was a great imposition for her. The young lady brought the cart out of the back, left it at the doors, walked up to me and hooked her thumb toward the door and told me the cart was "over there". There was no mention of any assistance or any attempt on the clerk's part to find someone to help us. I took the cart to our truck and with the help of other customers outside we got the t.v. unloaded and into the store. Discounted prices are certainly important to us, but good customer service is very important as well. Next time we make a major purchase, we will certainly look for a store who values their customers in addition to offering the deals. read more

Me and my kids experence was terrible here. I felt as my time and energy here was wasted. The reason why i felt as my time was wasted is because i sat in the pickup side for more than an hour. Unbelievable! I have children to feed at home and this is what they do. The people who came here after me ,got their orders before me. The fact that my order was taken off is unbelieveable . I go to this Walmart regularly but rarely at night. I have always had great service and never had any problems. They have great prices and they have the best clearance deals for kids. I was there early one morning and bought a 3 shelf bookcase. I was worried that I couldn't lift the box into my SUV because it was heavy and I have a bad back. They said there would be a 20 minute wait because someone went on break. A wonderful young man overheard me and said he worked at a different Walmart here in town offered to help me load it and he did! I wish I had thought to get his name and other Walmart because he was so kind and polite and helpful! I really like the staff and I have always seen it clean and the restrooms clean too. read more

Customer service skills for pick up have got to be improved, Apparently the workers there don't realize how much Revenue is generated by customers simply ordering online and drive up the side of the store to pick up their orders! When the orders are partially filled and the customers have to be called to come back to the store it not only is an inconvenience it shines a bad light on the incompetence of some of the workers! Woof! I've done several combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan and I have to say that it was all child's play compared to this Wal-Mart! I came here at 10:30 pm on a Tuesday night - I'll explain. I flew in late from FL on business and needed something to eat. Since I don't dig on fast food that much and didn't feel like driving somewhere (hotel was right next to 'da Mart) I came here for some oven ready chicken and veggies. First, there are several degenerates hanging out in front, of which one asked me for some change. The best way to describe what I experienced upon entering the store is to visualize that scene from Star Wars E4 when Luke and Obi Wan walk into the Tatooine Bar - freaks everywhere (I'm also a Star Wars nerd, if you didn't figure that out already). Anyway, rough crew in there is all I can say. On top of that, they had two cashiers working, which caused lines to be extremely long. Again, I got to observe several freaks and geeks as I stood there waiting. One other thing to note - I found out a couple of days after my visit that this store was, at one point, off limits to soldiers at Ft. Bragg after dark. That's saying something! Will not be back unless someone forces me at gunpoint (which may happen anyway if you're ever there). read more

Negative 5 stars! The parking lot and areas surrounding are not safe. I would never recommend coming here alone. Absolutely never come here alone during periods of darkness. However, I highly recommend for Pokemon players. I've lived in Fayetteville off and on for the last 10 years and this place has always been the absolute standard for the worst Walmart has to offer. I have been to Walmart's all over the US and Europe. I swear to you, after almost three years in Afghanistan I still feel safer without a gun in Kabul than I do in the Cross Creek Walmart. Why are people trying to sell me steaks, Cologne, and God knows what else out if the trunks of random cars and pockets in the parking lot? Why am I accosted by folks asking me for cigarettes, money, cell phone time, my watch, my wife, a vote for Bernie Sanders, a ride etc while they sit out by the bus stop with easily $200-$500.00 worth of groceries etc? I feel sorry for the great Americans having to shop here. I feel even worse for the amazing people who have to work here and worry about people trying to take advantage of them everyday or even worse worrying about having to walk to their car at night. Walmart needs to take serious consideration into investing in enhanced security here or, closing it down. Bulldozing it. This is seriously one of through worst stores I have ever been to. I live right around the corner so I kept going just because of that. But I now drive across town to go to another store Because this Walmart is just not an option anymore. I have had so many bad expirences here to list but I will sum up a couple of them. 1. They only ever open up 3-5 lanes for the whole store. There is always 5+ people in front of you. Even in the garden center. 2. I constantly here about assaults here. It's not so much the items because I was actually surprised by their selection and some recognizable brand name stuff. It's more the people that shop here that make me feel those feelings of disgust. First of all, TOO MANY people shop here, at all times it is packed and it takes at least 20 minutes to get through the lines. And secondly, no offense but it's not the best group of people that congregate outside of a discount super center. VERY POOR customer service!!! Especially at the "customer service" desk! I purchased a computer from this location and was told I had 15 days to return the item. When I returned 1 week later to this same location to return my computer I was told the serial number on the device didn't match the serial number printed on my receipt! To make a long story short I truly believe the cashier rang up the wrong item on purpose! I even spoke with the co manager who was very unprofessional and didn't listen to my story or try to help the situation at all. He simply said "there is nothing I can do. Call 1-800-Walmart! " - as if this was my fault and I was supposed to know their cashier rang me up for the wrong item. Anyway, I called 1-800-Walmart only to speak with customer service who referred me back to the store where the device was purchased and I was told the store manager would be contacting me within 3 days. On the 3rd day I had a missed called from the Walmart on Skibo road. Of course no one left a voicemail to return the call. After calling the store for 3 days straight I still haven't got a response and probably never will. Each time I called the store location the entire management team is conveniently "at lunch " or "in a meeting " . Moral of the story if you purchase anything of value from this location its best to make sure you are rung up for the correct item and make sure the serial numbers match your receipt! I haven't interacted with employees, but as someone who has been to A LOT of walmarts, this one has been the nicest. I have been to almost every Walmart in FL. A good amount in GA (Savannah one pleck). Few in New Jersey which were the closest ones to NYC. Every single Walmart near philly. Went to one in VA, a bunch in southern CA, MA (on the way to Boston), MD, and I am probably forgetting about some other ones. Needless to say I have been to so many and I like to "save that money". Aww poor you having so many selections to pick from and organic brands (although they didn't have stonyfield yogurt squeeze pouches with the twist top). It's ok I'm a grown up and able to find something else for my children to eat on our road trip. I am so sorry y'all have to endure that. The crafts section was great. In my tiny home town they built a giant Walmart with half of an aisle is the craft sections. It's just an example of how useless it is. This has to be the worst store in the chain. I placed a small pickup order, expecting to pick it up in 1-2 hours. Six hours later, I received an email stating the order wasn't ready yet. Eight hours later, the order still was not ready. I called the store, and attempted to connect to "pickup" several times. The phone rang and rang, nobody picked up.
