This is not my favorite WalMart, to summarize. The store never really looks clean and much of their layout is inconsistent. The electronics are behind security doors that are always half open, like the employees who deal with them are disinterested in closing them the extra four inches. This is likely because the electronics area is staffed with people more interested in talking about each other than doing their jobs. I've been to this WalMart at different points in the day, so I've seen their stuttered effort to stock the shelves. I've seen a line of customers hook around from the middle of the checkout area back to the front doors because they only had two lanes open and both of the self-check areas closed. I've seen a lot of bad attitudes and even some fights begin. This is not the safest area but WalMart doesn't try to change that fact as it applies to them. A few months ago, someone was shot overnight in the parking lot. As I said, I've seen fights break out over stupid stuff. And the homeless swarm like zombies at a mall in Dawn of the Dead. Excursions to this WalMart are rare when I don't have someone who's living out of the Sylvania Park behind the WalMart asking me for money or coming uncomfortably close to my five year old. During the day, many park themselves at the entrances to ask for money, and I'd even be okay if it was just a few cents or a couple dollars. I've been asked to buy a six pack of beer, a pizza from the Cesar's next door, and full meals from the Subway inside the building. I've been asked to walk to the ATM to withdraw twenties like I'm a moron who'd do that. And WalMart does nothing to stop/prevent this. My favorite WalMarts are on opposite sides of town, but the company itself is hurting people enough that I am looking for alternatives altogether. read more

This Walmart definitely does not know how to assist customers. I needed to return some automotive adhesive so I went to the customer service desk. They told me that it needed to be returned in the automotive department. I went to the automotive department and waited until someone finally came to help me. Guess what? They say they have no way to look up a receipt so I have to go back to customer service. This location typically has some type of issue every time I come by. I wish they weren't so close to where I live. Very frustrating. read more

I went to Walmart early this morning. I park on the pharmacy side, go up to the doors and they are locked. Granted it's 30degrees!! Are there any shopping carts blocking the doors? No, you think that would be common sense, but then again this is Walmart, and I wasn't the only person that thought the doors would be open. When I checked out, the lady was going to look at my receipt, which I wasn't going to give it to her anyways,because if they're so concerned, then they need to to have people at the cashiers.... When I asked if there's a manager I could speak to, the lady said "oh it's too early to have a manager here." So that's nice to know there's no manager on duty at Walmart early morning, so I guess if somebody wants to steal ,you know where to park, you know there's no manager on duty, and there was no guard patrolling. Having shopped at the local Walmart Neighborhood Market since they opened some years back, I have now switched to this location. Of course this one is a Super Center. They don't seem to have any difficulty in keeping the shelves stocked with inventory. Plus, I have many more options since it is a larger store. The line at the self-scan is usually long, but thankfully it moves at a fast clip. I don't have to wait very long to get in and out quickly. I'll keep shopping here in the future. read more

This review is for the service center at this Walmart location this past weekend. My husband made an appointment two weeks in advance to get my tires installed. We purchased the tires from Walmart as well. We've spent over $800 for both of these items. My husbands appointment was at 12 P.M. My husband arrived at 11:45AM & checked in the car. He was waiting there for over an hour and 15 minutes and he was watching the man that was supposed to be working on my car. Just walk around back-and-forth swipe his phone talk on his phone for literally over an hour and 15 minutes. My husband was very frustrated and disappointed and called me to pick him up. I spent my gas time and money going back-and-forth when I shouldn't have done that. It literally took them over three hours to install the four tires. Then, when we go pick up our car, my husband checks the rims. They scratched up one of our rims. This is very infuriating and unprofessional. When my husband confronted the manager on duty at the time, he said there was nothing he could do that. We had to call back the next day and talk to Chase. The actual manager at that location. The next day I called and spoke to Chase. He looked at the videos and of course cleaned that. There was no way possible that they could've scratched our rooms. But we also took a video before we took her car in for the same reason. When we dropped our car off, there was no scratches on her room, so when we picked it up, there was a scratch. He claims that the tools they use are plastic, and can no way cause damage to the rims. This is ridiculous and unprofessional, and so frustrating. Because like I stated, we spent over $800. Waited over three hours. Only to get shitty job completed. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY ENERGY. GOING TO THIS PLACE. THEY LITERALLY SUCK. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. MAKE YOU WAIT. Speedy checkout ain't. This is pretty much the only option in my in-laws neighborhood, especially at night, and in the past I've never been thrilled with the prospect of shopping here... But ya gotta do what ya gotta do and tonight I barely got it done. All I needed was some air-filters for my father-in-law's home. I swear the filters at his place looked like they have not been changed in over a year... The filters were so dirty they got sucked out of the frame and air was slipping around them, but I digress. Self-checkout was not working. Every other checkout lane was at least 10 deep. Carts were full. People were grossly ignoring the item limits for the ONE speedy checkout lane. Tempers were close to boiling. I waited about 30 minutes to buy my two filters and was glad I got out without seeing any altercations. My goal now is to avoid this location at all costs. Oh, and the parking lot had so many shopping carts scattered about that it was like driving an obstacle course. read more

At first I was happy. The store is decently stocked and well organized. But then things went awry. Standing in line I see a chicken bone with the meat eaten off on the floor. Now that is not really their fault, but a disgusting customer. I wouldn't have given a review over that. I had a pineapple because it smelled ripe and then big sign on the table said .98. It rang up $1.98. I said there is a table full of them and the sign says .98. She said I should have taken a pic of the sign. I said she should call her manager, but she refused. Then I needed $110 cash back. You can only get up to $100 per transaction. So I bought a pack of gum, but can only get cashback in increments of $20. I asked for 2-$10's. She closed the register and said she doesn't have $10's. I said give me fives. Too late! So rude! I had to go to customer service and argue there. They said I had to buy something. By this time I was getting pretty irritated. I showed her my receipts and said get a manager and take of me NOW. Which she did. Last complaint: the "original" potato salad tastes sugary like pudding. Nasty. I tried adding mustard and onion to the bit on my plate. It is inedible. read more

This is by far the dirtiest Walmart I have ever been to. This is really the only close grocery store near my house and I will always make the 20min+ drive just so I don't have to go to this store. I don't even feel comfortable buying produce because of the cleanliness of the store. I always feel gross and feel like I need to change my clothes after being in this Walmart. Not to mention, after shopping, at least 2-3 homeless people will come up to you and follow you through the parking lot. I've had several encounters with the homeless at this Walmart and one that was actually violent. As a women who often shops alone I have never felt safe in the store or outside of the store. Standing in line, young couple in front of me with some inappropriate PDA, turn back around and I notice the guy is popping zits on his girlfriend's back. This sets the tone of what you can expect shopping at this store. Checkout lines are beyond description, store is always filthy. Checkers are generally very friendly but the majority of those working there seem to have been demoted to this store and are in a constant state of "ticked off" and just can't be bothered by those pathetic enough to shop there. Parking lot is full of con artists, you'll notice mysterious nicks appear on your windshield over several weeks, and then a windshield repair guy sets up shop in the parking lot. Coincidence? Any attempt to bring any issue to management's attention is met with disdain and the attitude of "Like this will ever see the light of day... a roll of the eyes and a WHATEVER!" If you do have to shop at the Beach Street (Riverside) store make it very early, pre 7 AM, stay away on the weekends or regular hours on week days. read more

WORLD'S WORST WAL-MART By far, this is the worst Wal-Mart on the planet. My husband and I gave this 7th circle of hell the champion's title, and every time I go, it never fails to live up to it's name. From surly employees, to unruly customers, shady characters hanging around the entrance, the checkout time is measured in eons, the parking lot is disgusting (trash, beer cans, smashed bottles, other 'unspeakables'). The other reviewer isn't joking when he says that the place is busy 24/7. The shelves are usually a wreck, or they're out of stock on what you need. If you need something besides groceries, save yourself some hassle and go to the Target on the other side of downtown on 7th Street. This Walmart is a joke!!! Product's are always not in the correct place, which means wrong prices once you get to the register. Workers who stock the shelves put things wherever without rotating the old stuff in front and new merchandise in the back. Seems every time we go we have to search for merchandise which the app says it's available but obviously not in correct place. Even the workers say it's not available but after looking for a bit it's there. Nothing but incompetent people work there including management. Don't waste your time there. Upon arriving in the parking lot you will find parking here to be a hassle, either there are no spaces or there will surely be dozens of people walking right in the way of the cars. Or perhaps the ubiquitous people on motorized store scooters, handicapped or not! Wal-Marts are mostly the same, this Wal-Mart is different though in that too many items I have gone there for have been out of stock at various times. Wal-Mart is what, the second biggest company in the world? There's no excuse. This Wal-Mart's defining feature is that the lines are always isanely long and at most I've seen maybe three registers open at any given time. This is the worst Wal-Mart I have been in. If you're not using the self check out then grab a drink and a snack for the wait while checking out. The woman at the deli acted as if rigor mortis was setting in. Then while waiting to check out, one of the managers proceeded to open anther lane and specifically grabbed the people behind us. This Walmart sucks. They have like 25 check out lines, yet even at busy times of the day, only one or two are open. I suggest shopping somewhere else if you're not fond of waiting in long lines. I have been many times I and there be no lines open except self checking and those lines are long too just to check my own self out I have medical problems and cant stand for long and when there are checkers the line's are really long , it make's me so mad.. I have lived up the street from there for over 25 years and when it was wanting to destroy the wonderful Oak tree'st to bring it to our neighborhood they made all kinds of promises about not long line's and it being clean give me a break ... A support manager then walks up and asks if we need help, like duh! While I stand there she tells another employee that the counter closes at 9, but yet the website says 10!
