This store is horrid. Always over-crowded with very rude people. Employees are about 50/50, some are good and some are just rude. Shelves are usually not very well stocked either. That parking lot is a nightmare ever since they put up the Sonic.. read more

The pharmacy department is pathetic. I had a prescription called in 2 weeks ago and was repeatedly told that it would "be in tomorrow". When my wife went to pick it up a couple of days ago she was told that it was a special order and hadn't been ordered yet. After calling them and speaking to the pharmacy manager I was promised it would be in the next day. Two days later I receive a call from a "tech" saying it was in, but only 1 box of the prescription was in. Keep in mind that I am not the only one who needs this "special order". They say they will hold it since I can't leave work and come get it, which is what the "tech" told me to do. After my wife goes to pick it up they place the prescription on the table and begin waiting on other customers. This takes place for 15 minutes before my wife leans over the counter asking if anyone is going to help. Another 10 minutes pass before the pharmacist meets them at the window. My 9 year old says, "Finally." (They have now been waiting for 25 minutes after they placed it on the counter.) The pharmacist then says, "I know, standing there waiting is hard work." What adult says that to a child? I am the only one in my family who uses this pharmacy. Everyone else in the family uses Target, which I will now use. read more

In theory, every Walmart should be about the same. Granted, a Walmart in Alabama will carry slightly different merchandise than one found in Alaska, but the shopping experience for both should be similar. The layout, the policies, and the employee training are standardized. That's what makes Walmart Walmart. Except for this one. This is the only Walmart Supercenter in the Frederick area. But the low prices and the impressive grocery selection can't make up for the insanely long lines and check-out times. I've been here at 11pm on a Friday night and found the lines at the 2 open registers snaking deep into the clothing section. The same has been true on a Monday afternoon. And a Wednesday morning. And a Tuesday evening. On one occasion I spent 35 minutes waiting in line to buy a pair of socks. The place isn't crowded, it's just poorly managed. When there are 16-17 people in each line and only 3 registers open, you'd think a manager would call addition cashiers to the front. Except they don't. "The customers can wait. We're the only Supercenter in town. If you don't like it you can go to Target." And that's what I do. read more

Tire & Lube center here is terrible. I asked how long it would take to get a basic oil change they gave me an estimated time of an 1hr to 1 hr and 30 min. I left my vehicle and went to go run some errands.... 2 hours later my car still hasn't been pulled in and when I went to go check the ETA all 5 of them were standing around with their hands in their pockets not working on a single car. This experience has only confirmed that walmart is not the place to go to for good customer service. read more

I usually go to this Walmart early Sunday mornings and this store makes me sick. The self scan hardly works. I was here a few weeks ago and there were no physical lines open. Mind you this is 7:45am and no cashier was at the store. So the only option was to use self scan. I have a full cart of groceries and halfway through the scanner stopped working. So I had to enter all of the codes on the products I purchased. Totally unacceptable! The young lady seating at the self scan didn't bother to come over and help. read more

This is a supercenter so you get what you expect. They are short staffed and super busy. somehow when I go grocery shopping there they seem to be out of stock on a lot of items and their fresh vegetable and fruit selection lacks sometimes in just that, freshness. Sometimes I see rotten or just not very appetizing items there. I've had to buy several specific baby items online and have it shipped there (highchair, etc) because they don't have these items in stock at the store but the ship to store area is in good shape and not busy. The tire and lube place there is a joke. I needed tires changed and I went there 3 separate times for them to tell me that it would be a 3-5 hour wait. We weren't able to leave our car there to be serviced and when we asked them when would be a better time they said "never". The man also informed us there is only one guy there working there and that's why they're wait times are so long. They had the tires we wanted in stock but we ended up going to the one on 26 for service and they didn't have a problem at all. They're customer service area is slow and busy just as you would expect a walmart to be. Overall you'd think a multimillion dollar operation that's has potential to put more people to work in this area would do so and be able to provide better customer service. Nope. read more

Went there last night to get my son a crab to go with his fish he won at a carnival and let me tell you worst customer service ever! Now I work at the Walmart in walkersville and we would never treat customers like they treated me. Everyone was so rude and disrespectful. So my sons father used to work there so after standing back at the fish tank for about 45 minutes he just gets the crab himself and gets fish for a few more customers as well. I will never go to that Walmart ever again. Not to mention only 3 lanes open. I'm so disgusted with that place. read more

How they treat employees is horrendous. My husband is a brittle type 1 diabetic and epileptic. He had a seizure at work because the stress of how much they worked him and how hard. He was a brand new employee and started off as part time with a week of 36 hours. They made him into an almost full time employee having him work hours he didn't sign up for and jobs he didn't apply for. They worked him so hard he couldn't inject any insulin. He came home one night and had a partial seizure and ended up in the hospital with a blood sugar of 819. For people who don't know much about normal blood sugars. Normal is 70-120. Anything below 50 could lead to death and/or diabetic coma.(he came home with a reading of 50 one night) and anything above 250 with no food within the last two hours is dangerous and could result in diabetic ketoacidoisis, death or diabetic coma, plus lead to to loss of limbs, loss of kidney and liver function plus a lot more. A blood sugar of 819 because he had no time to inject insulin is outrageous and against the federal disability act for employers. They need to check how they treat employees. Shame on this walmart. read more

Well it's been a long time that i was in a store, that the cashier was this rude, i was in 20 items or less line and i see this guy in front of me and he whispers something to cashier, he has about 30 plus items, as he slowly unloads cart, so i said to both of them, am i in the wrong line? Both smart ass me back. He gets done and i am next, Cashier rudely says to me my manger says i have to go ahead and wait on them. Then says "TALK TO MY MANGER RUDE!!! So I did and that was a bad as the cashier. I got one assistant manager, that said they ask the cashier and he said 22 items that was a total lie. Manager never did show up. They could care less about you at all. I just walked over to service and got my money back. I think all those jokes i get are true. Think i join Costco down the street. They can kiss my ass!! read more

I avoid this place at all costs!! Sure, its Walmart and standards can not be too high, but, be prepared to deal with a VERY dirty store....the dairy area actually smells like rotten milk....the lines are horribly long because they typically don't have enough registers open...and the associates are rude. Especially avoid customer service, they focus less on customer service and more on how to perfect there attitude issues. Only good thing is they are open 24 hours, if you are willing to deal with all of the above. read more

The Walmart Super Center in Frederick Maryland has the worst customer service in Frederick County. I went to this Walmart to get a refund for an item that I purchased because I found a better product on Amazon. When I got to the customer service line. The line was wrapping around the hallway. There were about 9 other customers in front of me, and there was only one cashier working in customer service. The store manager came, and logged in to a cash register. I thought she was going to open a cash register. Instead she looked through the cash register, and then left customer service area without helping customer in line. So I looked around the store, and I saw a bunch of Walmart employees standing around having conversations with each other. Instead of logging into a register and helping the line get shorter. The only cashier in customer service was cashing out people paychecks and the process seemed like it took 10 minutes each time. Finally, I asked a Walmat employee if they could open a register, and after 5 more minutes finally someone showed up to run a second register. In total it took me about 40 minutes to get a simple refund at this Walmart Super Center. As I left the store I noticed the regular cashier lines with 5-6 customers in line. Some of the cashier moved in replay time. It is nice that Walmart employees the senior citizens, but they should not all be on the registers. You need some speed and youth to make the registers run faster. Therefore, making the customers happy to shop at Walmart. Finally, I think it might be the last time I go to Walmart. The customer service is just plain terrible. If you want better customer service I would recommend Target. They strive better at customer service, and want each customer to have a good experience each and every time. read more
