This Walmart has some of the most helpful staff members. Not as well stocked as needs to be other than grocery area.

Came here around 4 PM in the evening, and it was kind of packed. The parking lot was full, but we managed to snag a spot without too much trouble. The entrance was calm, which was nice, and once inside, everything was mostly where it belonged. Employees were around, just organizing shelves--nothing wild, no one really stood out. We came for bathroom stuff--like toothpaste, lotion, wipes, soap--some protein shakes, and juice. Took a bit to find the lotion since it was tucked in with the makeup. That area was kind of crowded, but we got everything we needed. The store smelled like pretzels from Auntie Anne's, which was a fun little bonus. We also came for socks and boxers. The socks were easy to find, but the boxers were tricky at first--some were $32, which is way too expensive . Luckily, we found a pair for $9, so problem solved. Prices in general felt normal, though some things were a bit high. Nothing really funny or weird happened, no odd signs or announcements. The vibe of the store felt okay--pretty standard Walmart. Overall, it's an average spot. You can get what you need, but keep an eye on prices and check the shelves carefully for hidden items. read more

They have tie-dye listed as clearance so I chose that instead I get up to the register and then it rings up five dollars more I ask for help and the lady there tells me they'll only give me three dollars off now I'm late for work they miss label things they waste your time and then they don't honor their word. WOW! I NEVER thought I would give 5 stars to a WalMart! I was at an appointment in the Firewheel vicinity and had a return to make, so I went to this WalMart location to make the return and pick up a few things. The customer service return was super friendly and fast, even with two people ahead of me. The shopping experience at this WalMart is not like any I've ever had before and that was unexpected and a great thing! Many times I've been shopping at Walmart and they have this obnoxious "Walmart radio" playing where workers from various stores call in to give high fives to co-workers. It's a great concept but in reality it's just torture to listen to and it's made me cut my shopping trip short just to leave so I wouldn't have to listen to it any longer. This store was extremely clean and spacious and a true pleasure to shop at. Wow!! The longer I was there, the more I put into my cart! There were several personal shoppers, and in other stores they are usually leaving their cart contraptions in the middle of the aisles. Today I only had to move one out of the way so I could get where I was going. The check out area had a place clearly marked to put the cart. The scanner at my station was very touchy and I ended up accidentally ringing up two different items twice. The first time a nice associate came over to remove the duplicate item. The second time it happened there was another team member nearby and I told her I rang something up twice and she said she had already removed the item (remotely with her handheld phone thingy)! Great service with a smile! I would definitely seek out this location again if I needed to go to Walmart, even though it's not really convenient to my home. read more

Sanitary practices. You would think the day and age of going and been through an epidemic where everything shut down people would grow up and practice good hygiene. I will never shop there again since I can't check my own stuff out unless you have 15 items. Everything else with the store is fine but when you check out you witness the checker use his personal water travel bottle to spritz the shopping bags. Then you see him cough and he sips the water out of the same bottle. So not right and management needs to take note to have workers practice safe hygiene so they are not spreading germs. read more

I have been to many many Walmarts all over the city of Dallas as well as other metropolitan areas and I definitely have to say that I am impressed by this location because of the fact that the checkout area has been completely revamped to make it more accountable to a greater number of people at the same time. There are a lot more self checkout Lanes then other stores that I've been to. I would say probably about 9:00 or 10:00 Lanes managed by Walmart employees so I think that's awesome. What I've been told is that this setup is new and Walmart is using this particular location as a test store. So I think that this type of setup is going to be much more accommodating and appeasing to a wide variety of people. read more

190 Garland-Security acts like everyone is stealing. They even check your receipts after their own cashiers ring you up and they never have enough cashiers. This used to be the best store around. Some of the employees that have been there awhile are friendly and helpful in navigating long lines of people to self-checkout to help on long lines. read more

Hot and Cold service, and today, it was COLD! First, the associates were purposely avoiding eye contact and helping customers. Couldn't get help and finally asked a 7up/Dr Pepper guy who tried his best. At checkout, l had an item (Kickstart) which was marked $.98 on the shelf but rang up as $1.38 at the register. I told the clerk the shelf showed a different price and her response was "no, you're wrong'. I ask her to remove the item(s) from my cart and when I had paid for my groceries went back to the shelf and took a picture of the product (at $.98) and took it back to show her - no response.. In the parking lot, I tried to help an associate collect carts around my car. His rudeness was unexpected. If you hate your job, find another one....... Walmart does carry a lot of items. Sometimes too many especially when I only needed one thing and I come out with 20. This location I think it a little bit cleaner than others. Also it's not over crowded. Things I notice are the signs right outside the doors. They say No smoking within 50 feet of the building. What do I see right next to the sign. A Wal-Mart employee smoking. Every time, I just don't understand why they can't just go to the back of the building and break the smoking rule. That way at least no one needs to get second hand smoke walking in. Second rather annoying thing are the lack of the new self checkout stations never on. WORST GROCERY PICKUP AROUND Employees do not bring groceries out in the order which cars arrive. I often sit and watch multiple cars come and go while I'm waiting for a pickup I checked in for 30 minutes prior. They have no idea what they're doing half the time. Walmart isn't known for customer service but this place takes the cake. Even though I had original packaging and the receipt for a smartwatch ($40.00) to exchange I was told Texas doesn't do that because I purchased it in Arizona. Who cares that Walmart is Nationwide. After speaking with customer service on the phone, they told me to ask for a salaried manager. When I asked if a particular person was the salaried manager one person told me no she wasn't but then that person told me that yes she was. Not sure who to believe. It's amazing that I had to drive down the road to another Walmart after calling and verifying that I can make the exchange and they gave me a full refund. I am beyond disgusted with the customer service I received and I will let corporate know. This WalMart just takes too much time and energy. There are lines to park, lines in the aisle, slow lines at the register, and then lines to get out the door because they have an associate checking receipts and re-scanning items that were too big to bag. Really?! Yes really. And you know customer service is not their thing. By the time I leave Walmart, I feel like I've been there for hours and I have to stop to think and remember where I parked. Now they've added gates that you have to go through after you enter the front door. The open automatically, but they're just weird. I don't know if they're locking me in or bad guys out. They have a buggy of groceries with cash register receipts from Kroger and Walmart. It shows that I would save $20 by shopping at Walmart. The difference in the customer experience is WELL WORTH that 20 bucks! Not to mention the extra time and the frustration Walmart requires. And I'm willing to bet that when you ask to speak to the manager at Kroger, he comes to speak to you. Today the manager (Stephen) never came to the front to speak to me, so I left and called from my car and they put me on hold a couple of times, then said he had left the store. I'm done. Im writing again about Walmart. Yesterday I wrote about getting ripped off 2 flea collars. well, I took the empty can to walmart in Quinlan, TX 3 miles from my home. I shop there almost nightly, but that will change after last night. So I took the empty can the flea collars came in along with the plastic container the was sealed around it and had a electronic security device on it, which was cut in 2 place and the flea collars had been removed. Quinlan Walmart Customer Service refused to help and said go to Walmart in Garland. I thought it was the policy of Walmart to take exact exchanges at any Walmart, and have a solution even if it isnt your store. This has ruined my image of Walmart. I am an intelligent, still working, 72 y/o female. I shop in Quinlan Walmart everynight, but have no problem driving elsewhere. I am not trying to cheat someone. I brought new flea collars for my Yorkie last night. but the fact is, I checked that sealed container before I put it on the container belt and it was completly sealed with an electronic device on it, I do believe your checker is completely innocent of any wrong doing, but whoever to it to the service center and removed the electronic device also cut into the sealed plastic, opened the metal container and removed the plastic bag the held the flea collars. I hope you know the kind of people you have working for you. and the in the quinlan Stores, they dont abide by Walmart rules and code. But 'm not surprised, when you ask any of the csr's a question, they can't answer, they have to call someone or just leave. I dont think I will ever Walmart again. read more

I drove my vehicle in to get the battery checked out. I saw the technician remove the battery from my truck and toss it onto the floor. He then put it on the meter and told me it was bad. This wasn't a gentle toss, it was a drop from about 4ft high. He then admitted he tossed it onto the floor once I brought it up to the clerk and him. The elder lady working the fitting room asked how many pieces of clothes I had and was getting ready to get me a fitting room. An older African American man who works in this department came up and said I couldn't try them on and that it was against company policy? He told me to just purchase them and if they don't fit bring them back. Why would I waste my time purchasing items and driving all the way back to this store to return them and then purchase ones that fit me? Wait thirty in line. Not ready, we'll call your name. They start closing up, it's a holiday so they close at six. Ask them, not ready. Finally before they shut the gate someone asks what we need....tell her we've waited three hours for one bottle. She says oh it's right here. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Three hours for one bottle, people. I had missed a few days of meds because of they're failure and had to get it that day or I'd be in some big danger and that would be their fault. Later went for refill, they didn't have it even though my doctor called it in. He then sent it electronically and they didn't get it. He called while I was standing there and finally they go it. The main pharmacist is very kind and didn't make me pay for my prescription because of the mess they made of last time. This staff is embarrassingly bad. An insult to the medical field. Went here for the Tire department to get my tires rotated. Got there. Took forever for someone to greet me at my car. The lady who wrote up the ticket was very nice. I sat in the waiting room and kept looking up to see if my car was being taken care of. There were 5+ employees standing around doing nothing. About 45 mins later, the car was done and I went outside to get my car back. Well the guy who brought me my car back was "test" driving the car around the parking lot. Sure, that's fine. Got the car back, guy said nothing to me. The next morning, front passenger tire is flat. They didn't check the air on any of the tires. Very disappointed and frustrated. This is the worst Wal mart I have ever been to. Has the crappiest customer service of any store ever. I was minding my own business shopping like normal, as I paid for my items and walked out the door, I was stopped by loss prevention under suspicion of shoplifting. When I showed the man my receipt he then continued to accuse me of stealing. They reviewed the cameras and saw I did nothing of the sort. They then held me in the office for over an hour, then let me leave only to send me a letter in the mail saying I owed them money for shoplifting something when nothing was taken. If I took something, I would have been arrested and a police report had been filed. Trust me. DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS!! They will falsely accuse you then try to make you pay a fine. Wal mart will be lucky if I ever spend another penny in ANY of their stores after this experience. read more

The biggest obstacle to doing business at this Walmart is their incompetent inventory management. On most every trip to this store, one or more desired item is out of stock - even though a shelf label indicates it is stocked. Frequently, items are moved around to make it look like things are in stock but are not. This lack of shelf stock occurs even when I check on-line before going to the store and find the desired items are allegedly in stock. My conclusion is that the items are sitting around someplace in the store waiting on restocking. I have attempted to bypass this mismanagement by using free site-to-store delivery. It makes the Walmart employee find my items and pack them for my pickup. It is slower for me and more costly for Walmart, but achieves my desired results. read more

Like shopping in third world country. Many employees speak only minimal English and do not offer to find someone that speaks English unless asked multiple times. Majority of employees are not trained in customer service skills. The rare employees that are pleasant and helpful are so rare that I make sure to tell management so that hopefully they will be rewarded and not become discouraged and sink to the level of the others. Open boxed and returned items are resold with no concern that they are missing parts or defective. Prices are not competitive with sales at other stores and electronic sales can be priced matched everywhere. Drive to Murphy if you want a decent experience that does not leave you frustrated. read more

If I could give zero stars. Do NOT order anything online. I was told item was in stock. I ordered and paid for the item which was supposed to be ready within the next few hours. I pulled up the next day for them to say it was delayed and wait. To only get an email about my order being canceled, which would've been fine had they sent money back to my account. Two weeks later they still have my money. And because they refuse to answer phone or haadnle things professionally I'll have to make a trip inside the store for something that should've been handled the correct way to begin with.
