She even went into the stock to try to locate items that were empty on the shelf. She did this in a VERY kind and Joyful way. She MADE my day! Tried to shop in your store today. I had my wife with me. She is in a wheel chair and we forgot the bags. Stopped at the front and asked for bags and was informed that we couldn't use bags. I asked how I was going to shop she said pull a basket or use a hand basket but no bags. I left and spent $70 with one of your competitor's. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. During my most recent visit the gals from the online pick up counter were very helpful and provided excellent customer service. Tina went out of her way to make sure my merchandise was to my satisfactory. Being new to the area, I was glad to see a walmart close to my new house. read more

I went yesterday and was there for an hour and a half because they do not have enough help or what they have is shopping for their new system in which people are to lazy to shop for themselves. I wanted photos but their system was down for maintenance and I couldnt get their terminal to work any way. Their is no help. Then I wanted material and they took out their call system and the clerk in photo was going to help me but she got called to check people out so I couldn't find another clerk and went up front asking for assistance and one clerk told another clerk which said they would have someone there. 15 minutes later no clerk. I cut my own material, took the bolt and what I wanted up to cash out and they wanted to send me back so someone could figure my cost. I told them I have been waiting a total of 45 min. trying to get help and I was going nowhere. They could just wait until they could find the price holding up the register. They gave it to me. The clerk that was checking me out was very sweet and apologetic. She was the only credit I would give this store. read more

If I could give zero stars it would be done. Went to this store and was followed and harassed by an employee in the women's department. Since when did Walmart offer to stay with a customer and provide a personal shopper??? As I was helping my 7 year-old special needs daughter try on bathing suits, a male employee banged on the door and said we had been in there too long. I am guessing it was less than 5 minutes. Even the greeter was rude as we left unless she has RBF which if that's the case, she shouldn't be a greeter. They should move her to the pharmacy where the other angry people work (and I use that term loosely) read more

This store opened about the time I moved into Glendale two years ago and I have been regularly shopping here since then. Just like any other Walmart, they have awesome prices, exceptionally large range of products, and a price match guarantee. It's Wal-Mart - I get it but out of all the Walmart's around me and in my area - this one is AWESOME on keeping cash registers open and available without any nasty lines etc! I have always loved this Walmart until one trip about a year ago now I was returning a Apple Watch band with my receipt and the now customer service manager was assisting me and started the rerun process and then came to a pause and told me the watch band had already been returned. I told her that was impossible because I had it right there on the counter. She then told me she could not do the return and had to look into it further. I went to the 19 avenue and bell location very annoyed and they were able to return it no problem no questions asked. When I returned a month or so later to return a different item with my receipt a associate was assisting me and out walks the manager who had helped me with the Apple Watch band return and had to investigate further supposedly and she makes a scene in front of a line full of customers about how I am not aloud to return anything there anymore because if the watch band incident very rude snarky embarrassed me in front of everyone. I told her wow are you serious that was like 6 months ago and so I said that's weird cause so went to a different location that day and handled my return like normal nothing wrong and she just looked at me like I was stupid. To this day I avoid that Walmart unless I have to and every time she is there it's like she lives there and always stares at me when I come in and watches me. I dislike her with a passion. read more

Cut back on our grocery bill considerably. Fry's was a lot more expensive. I like that the aisles are big and roomy. Not as clean and neat as other Walmart's I've been in but it has what I need.The produce could be better. Other than that I'm a fan. =P read more

This walmart is terrible. We get there at 9:58 tonight not realizing that customer service closes at 10. We had a toddler carseat booster to return. My bf tells them that we never opened it & we just found a better one so we want to return this one. We have a receipt mind you. The employee turns to another employee & says: "make sure you open that & check it. It's a bad tape job." That's how we bought it from your store!! He was extremely rude to us. Next- you apparently can't buy any cosmetics or face wash etc after a certain time as well. They have thay area fenced off!! I've never seen such a thing. No worries- my 9yr old was able to crawl under & bf was able to step over & get what we came for. Next- there is only one door open at this time of night. The only 4 registers they have open are in the middle between both doors. How does this make sense? The registers closest to the open door shoukd be open. walmart is an awful company in general, but this location is one of the worst! read more

Dear Walmart; I hope you have a Merry Christmas, because you've made mine a nightmare. On December 14th my beloved mother was nice enough to purchase two $50 Walmart gift cards from the Brooklyn Center Minnesota Walmart. I received them and was anxious to use them for Christmas on Friday December 18th. I went to my local Walmart on Bell Road and 59th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona to spend these gift cards at your store... and at the checkout the young woman said they weren't activated. Ok, weird I thought, as they had been paid for so I called the number on the back of one of the cards and it said to bring the receipt and gift card to the store to activate it. Again, very weird.. Because they are gift cards and should have been activated upon purchase. I was perplexed, but I digress. I traveled back home just to grab the receipt that my mother thankfully sent me out of habit..and returned once again to said Walmart with receipt and my son in hand. Back at the register with the line expanding behind me, I show the cashier my receipt as proof of purchase, with both gift cards, and she matches up and agrees that they should work. We try the cards again, no luck. So she leaves and requests help from Gustavo, her manager. He comes over, agrees they are paid for.. But looks me dead in the face and says there's nothing we can do, you'll have to take them to the original Walmart they were purchased from. WHAT? I advised them they were sent as a Christmas gift from Minnesota, and without an apology, an empathy statement or a solution, he stared at me blankly and said "Yea.".. Pardon me but Christmas is 7 days away and the only guidance I received was to be forced to send back gift cards that have a balance and should work.. via mail, to my mother in another state who then could hopefully go out of her way to take it back to her Walmart before Christmas, figure out why they aren't working or exchange them there.. Then hope that she could even possibly get them back to me before Christmas. Which I'm confused..because why couldn't anyone help me with a Walmart gift card issue at Walmart that was purchased at a Walmart.. Do you see the irony?! So basically my mother has spent the money and its on a gift card but they can't give it to me... Weird. Now she's wasted her time, her gas and her money.. I've wasted my time, my gas, and my sanity.. To have no outcome at all except to be told her money has indeed been taken from Walmart... But applying me the money to the gift cards you cant solve? You're company is a multi billion dollar establishment and I'm being told there isn't a system smart enough to read or exchange my gift cards from one Walmart to another. At this point I'm so disgusted that I've shopped at Walmart 87 times since June. This is the holiday season and I need my voice to be heard. I feel like this is UDAAP and I'm appalled that now I have to go out of my way to tell my mother all of this.. When she's already paid for the cards. I usually enjoy coming to this Walmart. Today kinda changed my opinion. I came in today to return some items & the cashier, CINDY, was so rude & absolutely did not want me to get what I wanted. There was nothing wrong at all with the items I needed to return & she had a heart attack about them. She called someone else over who then told her well, if they ring up...then ring them up. They did ring up, of course. I asked her why they wouldn't ring up & she straight up ignored me. She then took my ID & told me it didn't look like me!! Bahahahahahahaha!! I've never been told that!! Ever. She then called someone else over to look at it & they looked at me, then the ID & said yes, it was me. Awww man! That made me laugh. Well, I talked to a few other staff members & they seem to not like her too much either. So...I feel bad for them because it would probably suck to work with her let alone coming in as a customer having to deal with her rudeness!! read more

Personally, I had a terrible experience with Marissa at the pharmacy counter. Originally, she could not find my account to fill my prescription for a tooth ache. She was constantly pushing me to pay out of pocket to keep from processing through Aetna medical group. Since she could not find my information, I personally decided to call the insurance company to get an identification number to fill the prescription. Years ago, I use to assist patients in medical clinics with medical coverage questions making it easy to help Marissa. After getting all the information needed from the patient care representative, she still denied me the right to use my insurance. She kept suggesting that I pay out of pocket for the low cost even after I declined the offer earlier. My thought about this situation is that nobody has the right to deny you using your medical card especially if it is legitimate and copay is at zero. Secondly, monthly medical coverages are already expensive it should be used to full capacity even if medications are at a low cost. Medical coverage is not cheap! Why should she decided for the customer when to use medical coverage on certain medications? The store manager Matt should work on getting a pharmacy manager to fix these kinds of issues. Also, I did try to give a verbal complaint twice, but the Customer Service Representative constantly hung the phone up each time. Terrible Experience! read more

I took an older lady there recently for her to buy a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. When I took it out of the box at her house, I noticed it was wet. The glass pot was dirty. The basket and the water area had coffee grounds in them. It had been used quite a few times. Apparently, a customer returned it and the employee did NOT open it to check it. Not good. I had to take it back and get another one; opening the box before I left the store. Why was it put back on the shelf? Other than that, I was standing in the customer service line and watched as four different customers came in for refunds on their "so called" purchases, but were denied cash refunds because they didn't have a receipt. It's good to see Walmart crack down on this practice of would be thieves (some are legitimate lost receipts, I'm sure). Now, it would be nice if they did a better job of looking at returned merchandise. Open the box and look inside before putting it on the shelf to resale. read more

Hi my name is Darlene. On August 6th at approximately 10:30 am I returned my blow dryer to Walmart (located on 59th Avenue and Bell Road, Glendale, Arizona). On my way to get my new blow dryer I slipped in a puddle of shampoo, I've been walking on crutches for the past 41 years, and never have I slipped or fallen in a store, I am a leg amputee. Today I received a phone call from Walmart (CMI) telling me that they found no negligence on Walmart's behalf. So I guess that all the pain I'm in and all the X-rays and MRI's I've had are my responsibility. I've missed 19 days of going to the gym lying in bed sore and in pain. At first I thought I broke the top of my arm, which I immediately had X-rayed, and thank God it wasn't broken. Till this day I can't get comfortable with my leg on the bed. Who are they to say that Walmart wasn't negligent for what happened to me. I can't even get my out of pocket expenses taken care of. read more
