It's a Walmart, pretty standard experience. I've been to better ones but this location is convenient for me. It's a super center so they have full groceries/produce, apparel, electronics, etc. Inventory is generally fairly well stocked but I've had difficulty getting assistance when finding items multiple times. Enforcement of covid precautions are severely lacking, too many folks with masks under their noses and I was behind a women in checkout with no mask at all. Returns at Walmart are deceiving. The large sign at the customer service center states they will refund your purchase up to 90days without a receipt. Ok. I go to make an exchange as I had the wrong item type. No exchange was even offered. The girl took my item, said she needed the receipt or card it was purchased on. I had neither. She said I could come back with the card. I have no way of knowing which card was used. She was not helpful. I'm so angry , I told her to throw them away. I was not given the opportunity to tell her what I wanted, she just began her spiel about returns for health and beauty products, which are not mentioned in their return policy, and would not let me tell her what I wanted. I'm beyond angry at this company. I have shopped at this particular Walmart for the past 18 years because I live in this neighborhood. Now I'm thinking I'm shopping at Target. More pricey, less hassle. And they don't steal from their customers. The item was an equate brand of brush heads. $30.00 a package. I walked into the Automotive Dept to ask Manager Robert to open the Auto stereo cabinet. He was at the counter on the computer, no customers in site. He looked up at me, and continued to work. He never asked if I needed help or anything (RUDE AF). Finally after 5 minutes of silence I said, " Hello sir, Can you open the stereo cabinet I would like to purchase some speakers." He replied, go over there and I'll be there in a few. After waiting on the stereo isle for 10 minutes, he never came. I asked a support menber if they could open the cabinet and he informed me that Robert only had they key, tried calling him to no avail.......Such piss poor service! read more

Came to change my truck's oil. It has been leaking empty for a while, takes a while to do it though. I'd been to several places where they had just changed the oil and taken the money. Here it was different and great!!! The garage leader, Javier, inspected the truck and showed me that the oil pan had a hole, and very responsibly denied my oil change (liability exposure), I bought 5 quarts, filled it and bringing it to the mechanic that replaced my engine, to have a serious conversation with, Walmart should have more people like Javier!! read more

Why do I see at least 17 self-check out registers, but only 5 green lights??? They took out half of the registers to put in all these self service models, but they're not working. Walmart photo: Don't do passport or visa here. Cheaper than cvs/ Walgreen. $8 for two. But photo quality and paper are bad. Mostly zoomed on your face to print out after picture is taken... so it is a bit pixelated. I was disappointed. I suggest DIY then take to the store to print and cut into 2by2 or whatever the requirement for visa is. My face wasn't zoomed in enough. Gotta redo. Too bad i didn't keep the receipt. read more

If you are African American, I would be cautious before coming here. I visited the Grand Prairie location inside of Walmart and my experience was disturbing to say the least. I arrived at my appointment 9 minutes early and was greeted by no one. I heard a voice in the background and it was the doctor. I made this assumption by the scrubs, as he did not introduce himself. Instead of being greeted with a smile, I was met with sarcasm. Dr. Tran states "are you Rhonda" I said no, and stated my name. Dr. Tran then advises, you are slightly early for your appointment and I could have a sit next door (which is the Walmart vision center). He realized that they were not open or I could not sit there and advised "well you can have a sit in here." He does not acknowledge my son at all, as we both have appointments, but he did not know who I was either, so I guess he was completely clueless. My son and I proceeded to sit down and he continued his conversation with a woman talking about home issues, on speaker phone. It was like my son and I was not there. I will save that conversation that he felt to continue to share loudly, while my son and I waited, for a later date. Less than 3 minutes later, a non-African American male enters, Dr. Tran drops the phone, sees who it is and advises the person on the phone "that he has a patient" and immediately hangs up the phone. Dr. Tran, helps this man immediately by taking his information and sets him up for an appointment 30 minutes after my son's and I appointment. At this point, his assistant arrives and it's a few minutes passed, my son and I scheduled appointment. Dr. Tran informs his assistant on how to start a procedure and give metrics for the procedure, where she then asks for gloves. Dr. Tran advised, "you never use gloves and did not know why she needed them. Dr. Tran gives her gloves and the assistant proceeds to put them on, while Dr. Tran continues to enter the walk-in person's insurance information. The assistant then begins to help Dr. Tran with the computer, with her gloves on, so that totally defeated the purpose of wearing gloves. At this point, I'm wondering, are the gloves to protect me during the procedure or her comfort? I digress. Once Dr. Tran finishes with the walk-in, he gives me a clipboard advising me to complete forms. As if previous noted items were not enough, he then begins to say to me, while my son is sitting right next to me, who is this your bodyguard, while laughing. Dr. Tran, never acknowledges my son and this is the first thing he says, "who is this, your bodyguard"? His comment was hurtful and his laughter made it worse. This also solidified that not only did he not know who I was, (I made an appointment and gave my insurance information almost 2 weeks ago for my son and I appointment), but he did not know my son was there for an appointment. I quickly gave Dr. Tran the clipboard back, which he shoved back to me "stating no that is for you to fill out." And then I abruptly advised "I'm cancelling my appointment." The look on my baby's face was enough for me at this point. I kept quiet about the disrespect we received, but when he didn't even know my son was there for an appointment as well, coupled with everything else, I had more than enough. Before I left I blurted out, "you don't even know my son is here for an appointment". Dr. Tran, runs out the door behind my son and I and he calls me by son's last name- which is not mine. Needless to say, I will never come here again! read more

I had a very bad experience with one of your customer service employees on 12.09.2020 at 3:37PM. I believe her name was Terrie. As I arrived at the counter to return some items, Terrie was very rude and unprofessional. She did not greet me or say anything to me at all. I handed her the receipt and she said, "are you returning all of this?" I said "yes", and she very disrespectfully rolled her eyes as if she was very annoyed at the number of items I was returning. As I put my bags on the counter, she said very rudely "one bag at a time" without saying please or thank you. During this entire process all Terrie was doing was complaining to other employees and makes grunt and sigh noises as if she were very annoyed. She also slammed her hands on the counter saying "ugh, I just canceled the entire thing, now I have to start over". At one point, another employee, an African American woman, (I do not remember her name, but she had a brief conversation with me and was very nice and professional) came to the counter and asked Terrie if all my items were returns. Terry said "yes, and he decided to bring them all here instead of back to the Mansfield location" very rude with an attitude. She also started to complain to the other employee how she is ready for her break and that her back was killing her, in front of all the customers. As Terrie was getting to the last items I was returning, (three bags of lightbulbs) Terrie was frustrated and very annoyed, she stood up and turned the bags upside down dropping the lightbulbs on the counter. I would not be surprised if some of the lightbulbs broke because it was loud hearing them slam on the counter. If you check the cameras you will see this happening. I mentioned to her "you know that's glass, right?" she said "yes". Terrie was very aware that the items were fragile and should be handled with care. Her frustration prompted her to be carless, rude, and disrespectful towards me and any Walmart merchandise. I was very disappointed with Terries actions and her lack of professionalism, I felt disrespected and treated very rudely. I saw that Terrie had a 30-year mark on her name tag, I really hope this is not the costumer service she has been giving for the past 30 years. I will not be returning because of her behavior and would like to ask upper management to handle this situation promptly so that no other customers would have the same awful experience I had with her. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been too. Have any of you ever received that forwarded email titled "the people of Walmart"? Well several of those pics could have easily come from this location. The floor has no tiles and other customers will cut in line in front of you so be mindful. I have been here several times only because they have such a huge selection. I usually go to Kroger or target even though their prices are higher and the target is twice as far. The worst thing about this place is that there is never ever a slow time. Even if you come in at 3 am there will be lines. The workers are helpful enough but they don't keep the store as clean as it should be. Ill pay more and go out of my way to avoid this place, but sometimes its the only option. read more

This place is a Walmart so I really can't have high expectations of this store, as much as I want to. Years ago I grocery shopped at this Walmart so I came about twice a month for all of my grocery and home essentials. After getting tired of the clientele (most have Lone Star cards and hold up the line) and the long waits in line, I started shopping at Target and other grocery stores. There was a point in time where I swore this Walmart off for close to a year. Lines are always ridiculous, no matter the time of day. Like others have stated, their employees are generally not helpful. They will even be rude to you simply because they hate their jobs. If me asking a simple question bothers you, then maybe retail is not the industry for you. Now that I am aware of how this Walmart operates, I rarely come here. When I do come, it's to buy a couple of items in the middle of the day and I will either go to the express line or to the self checkout. If a problem arises, I will signal a disgruntled employee to help me and then go on about my day. read more

I agree with other reviewers. Past experiences in the lines here sometimes prevent me from even so much as looking into the parking lot when I'm headed this way to do my shopping. It's hard to tell when its low peak time because the parking lot is always crowded. And it seems that almost every person in line is shopping for three months worth of food and house supplies. I have waited in line for a half hour before and even spent an hour in the store only to put the item back and leave because the lines were too long. The long lines are definitely my biggest pet peeve about coming here. Customer service is really hit or miss. I've interacted with friendly staff and also not-so-friendly staff. Make sure if you're returning something that you get a yellow tag with scribbles on it from the Walmart greeter as you enter the store because if not, the young girl at the customer service desk will passive-aggressively chew you out. As far as selection is concerned, however, there's enough variety and decent pricing to keep me coming back, and I am glad that there is at least one Walmary in my neighborhood. read more

Between this store and the other Grand Prairie store on Hwy 161 I have had the last five of my online orders canceled. Apparently they don't take inventory. I showed an associate the order on my phone and they said it wasn't in stock. I went straight to the item in the store and asked to have it loaded. Went to this Wal Mart yesterday...was looking for a coupler leash for my dog. Poor guy in the pet section was trying to find what he needed for a new puppy...but the employee helping him seemed so disinterested & knew nothing. I began to ask him questions, and once he felt confident enough, he thanked me and went on his way. A few minutes later he found me and said "I know you don't work here, but can you tell me where I can find..." IT'S SAD WHEN CUSTOMERS KNOW MORE ABOUT THE SECTIONS IN WAL MART THAN THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES! I hate going to this Wal Mart, and if I don't have to, I won't. Most of the employees I've encountered there were not very helpful and seemed unsatisfied with their job. I absolutely HATE getting anything from their electronics department because there is hardly anyone working in that section at night, and as far as check-out goes...mostly a nightmare. DTW... we have to give a star to tell our experience. walmart should be denied that star just as they denied my groceries. After being in the checkout lane with a basket full of hard to find water and needed food everyone was rushed outside for an emergency the store was dealing with. After waiting out in the cold they announced to us they were now closed. all the employs were allowed in but yet customers were told to go to the other GP Walmart which closed an hour and a half earlier. Jeers to the store spokesperson who was just trying to get rid of the customers. I wish she would be the telling my elderly mother she won't be getting the food and water she needed. This walmart is always wickedly busy with few lanes open for checkout. Its reasonably clean in comparison to other walmarts, and most items arent out of stock normally. Those are the only reasons I am not giving it a single star rating. Otherwise it's equally as irritating as all the others. Called to see what time they closed automotive center they said 7pm. It was 5:30 they said they did have time for two oil changes. Once I arrived they said they couldn't do it because they are backed up. I asked why did they say they did have time over the phone and make me drive 15 minutes from home for nothing. They said because they are about to close. It was only 5:45...I understand sometimes, as human beings get tired, lazy, or have something to do at home, etc but they had plenty of time to do two oil changes. My girlfriend and I just left this location on this day 8-4-2018 at about 11:50pm. We came in to purchase groceries and school supplies for our younger sister going off to college. We had an overflowing cart and at checkout I noticed that a cop came and stood behind the cashier while she rang up our stuff. He then whispered whatever to her and walked off and I noticed a lady walk up (probably a manager). I am not sure what the point of this was, but my assumption will be that the overflow of items with two black girls was just not a normal happening huh? Allow me to express that WE felt profiled and that was very unnecessary. Surely there have been bigger purchases than 300 hundred dollars. Learn to treat BLACK people & everyone else with respect and dignity. We spend good money like everyone else and it is truly disgusting to see such things still happening at Walmart. read more

I try to avoid this location, but I was close by and tried it again. Bad decision! Left very disappointed by this location. First, the toy aisle was a disaster with everything out of place. Nothing where it should have been or where you would of expected it to be. Nothing priced right. My kids spent 20 minutes digging through piles of stuff in bins looking for a toy that they wanted. At the end there were successful! Second, the actual purpose for the visit was to return a seasonal item that was purchased the day after the holiday. I was naive enough to think that the Walmart return policy was consistently enforce at all locations. I was wrong. The really nice return associate told me, "we do not accept seasonal returns at our location." I reminded her that I had only bought it the day before, literally 24 hours earlier. She said she was sorry, but this store does not take back seasonal returns. I won't be back to this location and hope that others follow. If they lose business, perhaps the management will make a change! Visit this location at your own risk. read more

I've come to this Walmart frequently since I moved to TX, mainly because Walmart's a 1-stop shop, and they're 7 mins from my front door . Usually, it's a decent experience...find what I need, and I'm in & out. Today, I just stopped into the Vision Center, to order a pair of contacts, expecting to be in & out, 10 mins tops.....I couldn't have been more wrong. Coming into the Vision Ctr, the air reeked of garbage...like there was a dumpster within 10 feet of the entrance, though that wasn't the case. The first young lady who waited on me was completely uninterested in doing her job...and she actually told me she didn't want to help me. In my head, I knew she was kidding....until she didn't crack a smile, or say she was joking. I pressed on...told her I was there to order contacts, and she asked if I had my prescription with me. Unfortunately, I didn't...and though I was examined last month @ the eye doctor next door, my prescription wasn't on file. No big deal to go to the eye doc next door, and get a new slip. In the 2 mins it took for me to retrieve the aforementioned script from the receptionist next door & come back, the young lady from earlier decided she had to go somewhere else. She said that the other worker in the center would help me, yet didn't inform the other worker, or leave the keys to the contact lens cabinet with her. The 2nd worker takes my order, while the 1st worker has come back & is in the office, on what sounded like an unnecessarily loud personal call w/ a friend. I find it odd that she was unwilling to help me initially, and couldn't make it back in a reasonable amount of time to take my lens order, but walked her ass out of the office once she heard the 2nd worker tell me to have a good day....and had the nerve to smile big & chime in with her own "Thanks for coming in, have a good day!".....Seriously??? read more

Even though I live pretty close by, I try to avoid this location whenever possibly. Today I was reminded why...apparently the sales associates at this location have been trained not to price match against items that are sold by Amazon but can be shipped PRIME as PRIME is a "memebership with discounts". Additionally, they won't price match against the same item from walmart.com. Very frustrating especially since that item is available for store pickup. Furthermore the lines can be very long with painfully slow register attendants. After a certain time the self-check out lanes are shutdown and typically only a small handful of registers are open making late night Walmart runs at this location a giant hassle. read more

This has to be one of the worst Walmart super centers I've ever been to in my life. Coming from the fort Bragg area and seeing the type of Walmart we had there makes the Walmart here look 20 times worse. Customer service is a joke and the majority of its workers are either chit chatting in groups or just walking around lost. Not friendly at all. Waited at the sporting goods section for a good while hoping someone would ask me if I needed assistance which e nded up in a total fail. Several workers walked passed me and not even asked if I needed anything. Wanted to buy some ammo but changed my mind afterwards. Majority of the people that goes there are rude and have no respect for other people. Had a lazy lady ring her stuff up with less than 20 items when she could have gone to express lanes. Decided to just walk out and leave her cart in front of me so I had to push it aside. That also leaves me to say that the management there sucks. If they had the knowledge to know when their high or peak time is, have enough cashiers to handle the load of buyers. It's ridiculous to be waiting in long lines to see so many of their workers just bullshitting. Come on wake the fuck up!! How does this shit hole stay open with such stupid practices. If a store is open 24/7, shouldn't they plan for customers to be walking around the store at any hour day or night? Don't bother Tweeting or Facebooking any complaints, they will just act like they will remedy the situation and then a few months later it will be back to how it was. I understand they need to stock the store, but to have boxes blocking the isles is ridiculous!! How are customers supposed to shop? There has to be a better solution. Most of the isles were cluttered without any employee in sight. That is because they were all up at the front of the store "working", moving go-back items from cart to cart while chatting with the other 4 employees doing the SAME THING!!! My husband and I unloaded our groceries on a belt at a register because the light was on. We waited a good 7-10 minutes for a cashier to ring us up. One of the employees moving items around even made eye contact with us several times. Other retail store employees would normally have paged the cashier after a couple minutes.
