I don't know why some of my reviews are disappearing and aren't just "filtered." I wrote a review last year trashing this store for being just that. But I went in here just recently because I was in the area and I was very surprised. It had a total remodel, now with full grocery, liquor aisle (like most Targets or grocery stores), as well as a deli counter and bakery. It does appear that the prices have gone up slightly, however. But besides that, this place is actually clean. Let's see how long that lasts - it *is* Wal-Mart. read more

This store usually has everything im looking for. The new remodel makes everything look up to date. The fruits and vegetables i buy from here last a pretty decent time from about 2-3 weeks. But i absolutely hate the new registers they put in, why is 90% of the check out area, self check outs, i absolutely hate that especially because it probably put a couple people out of jobs. When i go to the store and get a bunch of grocery's to last me a couple weeks i don't want to scan that myself, their are about 5 or less cashiers working at their stations, besides everytime i go even when its busy most people don't even use the self check outs that they built, i mean the only really good thing that i can say that came out of the remodel of the check out area is that more people can buy things faster because even when their was more cashier lanes their was only about 3 working at a time, and i bought a plant from their that im pretty sure gave me fungus gnats, pain in the a to get rid of. read more

The only reason I'm giving this store 2 stars is simply for the fact that their pricing pretty much can't be beat. But this store can't seem to get it together. There are always ridiculous lines and the staff is less than helpful. I have yet to go to this location and feel good about shopping here. I have found myself in the checkout line on more than one occasion with only 1 lane open. This store is consistently understaffed and no one seems to care. Everything is always in complete disarray and the store is laid out horribly. If you don't mind waiting in line for half an hour to be checked out by less than friendly staff, sure go shop here. I for one would rather spend the few extra dollars to shop elsewhere and save myself some time and the hassle. The saying of "you get what you pay for" is definitely accurate here. read more

This was my first time at this Walmart and by reading the other reviews I consider my experience the exception to the rule. At first I wasn't aware that this was a Supercenter, but it looked big so I was hoping it had groceries, which it did, because I wanted to pick up items for a couple of meals I was going to prepare this weekend. I arrived around 4PM on a Friday after going to Kohl's nearby. I parked way in the back since all the parking spaces were taken due to everyone clustering near the entrance, yet as I entered the store there was barely any crowds. Every item I needed to make the meals was available. I also purchased some items that weren't on the list as well. After the food products, I ventured over to the men's clothing section where I found really cheap sweatshirts either for lounging or athletic activities, but since I'm pequeno I didn't get any. I looked at the boy's section but the sizes were too small in styles that weren't to my liking. Maybe it was this particular Walmart Supercenter, on this particular day & time, I did notice how clean the floors were, how well-stocked the shelves were and how relatively easy it was to navigate the floorplan. I didn't have any real issues finding the things that was on my grocery list or that later popped into my mind e.g. active sweatshirts. My luck further expanded to the check-out area where, like th deli section, I was met with no lines save for a woman in front of me buying an entire box of Kool-Aid packets. I only waited for about five minutes so no harm done. When it was my turn the cashier was pleasant enough, who greeting me. Now what great's about this cashier is that after bagging my groceries she checked the bagging carousel if I missed any items. That's caring service right there. There was a couple of incidents in the past where I left an item in the bagging carousel at other stores, so this cashier had my back. Talking about my experience with the workers, the suppposed slave work that's a popular narrative towards Walmart in the mainstream media and "socially aware" douches seemed exagerrated. The deli lady that helped me, after a loud conversation with another worker about being scheduled on the holidays, said quietly to me that she hated her job. I take that anyone talking about working on the holidays would say they hated their job, even well-paid lawyers or bankers earning well above the minimum wage. Nonethless, all the workers after the deli lady seemed alright in spirit. My experience here has seriously made me think about returning. Good job, Walmart Supercenter. read more

This review is for the Eye Center which is the BEST department by far!! I have been coming here for years now and I have to say these associates are the BEST ANY walmart has. They provide great customer service in person, over the phone, and they dont pressure you to buy eye wear that's out of your budget. I lost my glasses that I received from my other optical that's approved by insurance. I brought my RX into walmart and I chose a frame plus my lenses and tax $120. Not bad for getting anti glare and they have a great warranty too. Also, I placed an order on a Saturday evening and I received a call that my new glasses were ready for pick-up in a few days!!! Which was awesome because I need my glasses to drive at night. Will return for future services! :) read more

I used the delivery service from the Walmart in Dari in Illinois. Ordered onliNe and it was very easy and had a great selection of groceries! Ordered at 11am and first delivery time was between 4-5 pm. Which was fine... kept me updated through texts on when they would arrive. Which was nice! Prices are good but the staff is not very helpful. I've been here multiple times, most of the employees are friendly but whenever I ask for an item it's rare when someone actually knows what I'm talking about or where it is located. Last time I went I actually saw an employee arguing with a customer! The employee was very rude and the whole thing could have been handled a lot better. I shop Walmart at least 3 or more times a week.This last visit was the worst I have seen it in years.There were long lines,a customer asked a question and the cashier became rather rude.When their so-called manager came to ring out an alcohol purchase the customer told her about the experience.The cashier was called over by the manager and taken away from everyone and talked to.The line I was in the cashier just kept going on and on about the customer must show the cashiers respect.She said that women wouldn't have said anything if the manager wasn't around.She would not stop with her comments.Obviously,she has the wrong job.I didn't notice until days later when I was going to do the Walmart survey,she used a highlighter and wiped out the Id# so I can't take the survey.Training,training,training !!!! read more

You know, we've been coming to this Walmart for years, waaaay before the make-over! Along with watching the movie "Where the Heart Is" which made me check out Walmart to begin with, this is, by far; the BEST Walmart we have ever shopped. It's clean, it's new now w/an AMAZING produce section, the employees are awesome, albeit you may encounter a crabby senior citizen employee and some surly holiday workers and if that's the case, just bring that to the attention of the manager and awesome customer service reps. I gave them four stars due to that bit of crabbiness. They do have a weird layout which I still have yet to get used to since the "transformation," and we're such frequent customers we've been told jokingly to "punch in" by a few observant employees. They do go above and beyond the call of duty despite not earning a commission. Great customer service! The only thing that sucks is parking. Any where you shop that's huge(IE, Ikea, Target, here, etc...) you're going to have crap parking. It's a huge lot w/a lot of other stores to walk to(Sally Beauty, Kohl's, Target, Sam's to name a few) along with a couple of restaurants to hit for hunger pangs(Dunkin Donuts or Subway for a quick cheap meal, Lonestar and a crap Applebee's for bigger meals. Don't get me started on the Applebee's. THAT'S an entirely different review), so you can pretty much park anywhere and you'll be fine. Unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping at this WalMart. I used to go out of my way to come to this store even though there are others closer I prefer, because the ladies that work in the fabric department always went out of their way to help me and were extremely friendly. Plus they had a great fabric and craft selection. Now that the fabric and craft department burned in the fire WalMart will not be rebuilding it. Instead they are cutting it down to almost nothing, and when I write to them to complain they send the same cookie cutter response like always. Now I will go out of my way to never to go that store for anything, since there are many other stores that are closer and treat their employees and customers with respect. read more

I was going to comment on how disgusting this store is, but it sounds as if it has been remodeled. Either way, I'll skip it in the future. Over the winter we ordered something through their 'Ship to Store' feature--a smart idea, I'll admit. When I went to pick up our item I took my 3 1/2 year-old son with me. He now refers to it as 'the grimy store'. We picked up our item at the rear of the store, and since I needed some other things I figured I'd pick them up there. The layout was nonsensical and took far longer than necessary finding our everyday household items. In the meantime, we enjoyed the foul-mouthed yelling and swearing emanating from the Wal-Mart regulars. What is it about Wal-Mart's customers?! As we hurried to pay and leave, there were two check-out lines open and about 50 people in line. I waited and was halfway to the register when a sales rep waved me over to a newly-opening lane. As I pushed my cart and traumatized son over, a manager told the sales rep to open up on the other side instead. So after 10 minutes of waiting in line I had given up my spot and was now SOL. I looked at the "manager" and asked "Are you kidding me?!" to which he responded with...he didn't respond. He buried his chin and walked away. As did I. I grabbed my pre-paid order and left the rest of the junk in my cart. One final cherry on top of the Wal-Mart sundae was the woman at the door checking my receipt. She could not have looked more sickly, reeked of cigarettes and could barely take my receipt with her trembling hands. Yeah. I'm going back. read more

I hate this Wal-Mart. Come to think about it, I hate almost all Wal-Marts, with the exception of the Super Wal-Mart down in Bloomington/Normal. I tend to go on off hours, usually after 10 pm. Last night I went to see if I could find a swim vest. I ended up without a swim vest (I'm too late) but with the rest of my sons school supplies because the prices were so great. Anyway, I wish I would have gotten this woman's name. She had her hair pulled back into a long ponytail, it was colored. She could not have been more helpful. So friendly and so helpful, walking me to the different sections I needed. On Friday, September 5, 2021 at 12:11 PM, I was looking for a product to keep my bars of soap from melting. I stopped a young man named Israel and asked if he knew where it would be. I told him it was hanging on the end of an aisle on a dangling display rack. He told me he never heard of it and said it's possible it was not reordered. I thanked him and continued shopping. When I was at the checkout, Israel came looking for me saying he found it. The product is called Soap Saver. I was so surprised to see him because I thought he really wasn't paying attention to what I was asking. It's very rare that you find a sales person who actually follows through on your request or a question. I just wanted this young man to know I really appreciated what he did and the time he took to do it. There are too many people not caring about their jobs anymore, but this young man went over and above, I'm sure, of what he needed to do. It wasn't a big product and I'm sure it was hard to find but I appreciate it immensely. Thank you again Israel. read more

I love coming to this Walmart. It is always super clean and they have some really great deals. However, I feel like their polite and helpful workers make the experience more enjoyable. One in particular, Bridget, helped me today. She truly went above and beyond to help me. Her positive and friendly attitude really made my day. Just spent one hour trying to pick up a PAID online order at pickup center at the very back of the store and then return one item at the front of the store in customer service. Everyone was complaining especially n the pick up line. We asked for manager to come and talk to us - no one came. I also called the store and spoke to a manager and she never appeared either. It is not worth the $5 I saved to purchase online and pick up in the store. I have purchased before and have always found their service lacking and employees not very efficient. I think the employees may be hindered by antiquated and too infrequent cash registers and not a very good system. They could take a few lessons from Target. The manager at this location needs some additional training. 3 checkout lanes open, one of which is limited items. 8 carts deep at each lane. Lawn and garden checkout has one register open and is 12 deep in carts. I am purchasing something that needs a peraonal checkout otherwise i would check myself out. How the manager cannot see the exasperation on peoples faces in these lines baffles me. Kmart used to do this all the time as well. Usually left my purchases behind in the cart rather than wait 30 to 45 minutes in line. Meanwhile meetings called over PA, leaving no help for customers in store at mid-day read more
