It's a Walmart so my expectations aren't all that high. This store has been around for awhile so it's pretty worn. The staff was friendly and on Thursday Morning it wasn't very busy so the checkouts were moving quickly. They were just transitioning to Easter so it was a little messy. Since people love reading reviews I thought this may be the best way to give the pharmacy at Walmart at 7245 US 31 South near Greenwood, IN some recognition. I have had the worst luck with pharmacies but long story short this is the only one who can actually get anything done when there is an issue. ERIN at this location is very proficient at the computer and she can quickly resolve any issues I may have. Also, SCOTT the pharmacist, really cares if you are in a hurry and even fills scripts up until the last minute before lunch. Furthermore, they remember me and treat me like a person and it matters when I am caring for two elderly ladies, I can use all of the help I can get. I like this Walmart. Easy to spot on US-31. Always have what you need. Weekends are usually busier here but parking is never an issue. There are a few restaurants close by that you can stop to grab a bite after your shopping spree. They also have a subway inside which is pretty neat if you want a quick sandwich while shopping. The produce is pretty much fresh. They also sell small bouquet of flowers for $4.89. they rest beautifully on my side table so I get em almost all the time. This Walmart also has a photo section, salon and pharmacy. Their returns are also handled smoothly. Their staff is pretty helpful. I have been coming here for 2 years now and this one has become my go-to spot for all my house knick knacks. I get my produce from Fresh Thymes too when I am feeling extra motivated. I like them mostly because they even have the Flaming Hot Lays that most of the stores don't and very rarely do I find them out of stock. read more

This is a very typical Walmart. I visit here often because they have really cheap crafting supplies. The craft section has a large selection of yarns for knitting and crocheting. I am also impressed with the large selection of fabrics they have. I can't really speak to the quality of the fabric; however, I have not yet been disappointed in the quality of the yarn. The yarn sold here is typically the same as the yarn from JoAnns's or Hobby Lobby. It is just a little cheaper. The other times I visit Walmart is to get some cheap snacks and wine! They have a pretty diverse selection of snacks and wine. Recently, I discovered a cheap bottle of pineapple wine that I have really come to love! Like I said, this is a typical Walmart so I would not come in expecting anything extravagant.. just some cheap snacks, wine, and crafting materials! read more

I try to avoid Walmart but needed milk and didn't want to go to Meijer or Kroger; Walmart was closer. The kid who was supposed to be a greeter didn't say anything to me or even look at me when I entered. He was too busy on his phone. When I left it the same. You probably could have walked out with the store and he wouldn't know it because his nose was in his phone. I called to speak to management and no one answered the phone. The kid didn't even have a name tag. These are the people who demand $15 an hour. I've worked customer service and it can be hard. But you don't deserve more than minimum wage to stand there ignore customers and be on your phone. read more

Walmart is one of the worst companies you can possibly go to. I understand the food is cheap. I understand the items are cheap. They pay their workers nothing to the point where they're on government assistance. It's always packed. Long lines. Horrible interior design. When I walk inside,!7 I just feel disgusted. Why on earth people choose to shop here is beyond me. Prices aren't near competitive enough for the snobby attitudes of the employees at the store. Cart guy got irritated when I wasn't moving fast enough for him. Girl in the garden center wouldn't help us check out, basically threw her hands up like, "Sorry, can't help you." She got an attitude when we asked her to help us get it off the display, proceeded to berate her coworker for not grabbing the proper cart. Hello, My name is Susan Richards and I am writing this letter on behalf of my son. Two weeks ago my son took his automobile in to Walmart for an Oil Change (8300 E. 96th). Upon leaving, the oil filter fell off into their parking lot due to not being secured properly. Walmart called my son to notify him of their mistake, unfortunately in the interim his engine ceased, totaling the vehicle. My son was told by Walmart to file a claim which he did. My son was provided a claim number as well as a contact number for his Claim's Representative. To date the representative has been unreachable. My family has logged up to 10 hours of documented wait time for attempted contact with zero returned calls. The voicemail, if you are lucky enough to reach it, is too brief to leave your name and phone number, let alone the purpose of the call. My husband and I have spoken to the Automotive manager numerous times in person as well as the store manager . We left Walmart again this morning only to be told that it is out of their hands and up to the claims department to follow through. We have tried to be respectful to the process in which to abide by, however we are going into week three of no response or update on our claim. My son's car was totaled and we are continually being told that there is nothing Walmart can do and it is out of their hands. At this point we have not been offered a rental car and my son remains without a vehicle that is required for his job. I'm hoping that this letter falls upon someone who cares and would like to assist us. We have been understanding, polite and patient, only to be met with a corporation that totaled my son's car and has zero regard to rectify their mistake. At this point we not only feel taken advantage of but are in disbelief of the blatant disregard for my son's livelihood and hardship. Some folks think Walmart has the cheapest prices, but for groceries I'd recommend Meijer or Kroger, especially when they have a sale. Some of your non-food items are usually cheaper. I have been trying all day to call this Wal-Mart. I had an issue at the Schererville In store that I'm trying to get worked out with corporate. I received a call from this number from someone that refused to identify themselves, harass, yell at me, and bully me. The Schererville store claims no one from there called, and said I need to contact this store directly to track the person down. How is that my job!?!. I'm not sure how a store 2.5 hrs away from me would obtain my number, or even care about something in Schererville, and the person that called illegally obtained my number, and had no right to call, as corporate said at that time NO ONE should've contacted me. I am going to get this resolved and would like to know why someone from the Indianapolis store is calling me. I don't even know what Wal-Mart connect is! read more

Your standard WalMart. I'm giving a higher rating because it's built into a plaza which is nice for convenience and comparing prices. In the plaza you have gamer stores, a consignment shop, two different cosmetic and hair styling stores and a dollar store. To the other side is a pet store and restaurants (LOTS of them). WalMart itself is great on home decor, clothes and food prices. Again, many of us have been to Walmart but this one I like because of its location. The community isn't bad either. Recently they installed self scan and the employees don't have a handle on it at all. I've waited in line at a shorter length of time than the self scan. read more

So I go to this Walmart because it's close to my place and I never have the BEST experience but today I was needing to get in and get out rather quickly and I went to get 2 items, a drink and a movie and the movie needed to be unlocked by an employee. So I went back to electronics and I grabbed the movie and then went to grab my drink and I go to the front to pay and they said I needed to go to the customer service desk to get it opened, by this point I was i but upset because I was already in a hurry and now I have to wait in another line, I went to the customer service area and saw that there were about 15 customers waiting in line and I just didn't have time to wait so I go back to electronics and the employee there was helping another customer, luckily I was able to pull her away for a moment to open the case, but it was such a hassle to purchase this film and I think the cashiers up front should be able to open these cases. read more

We were in Greenwood and thought we would go ahead and get a few essentials. This Walmart has the WORST customer service of any business I have ever been in. They run you off the aisles, give dirty looks when you say "hi", and ignore you when you need something from a locked cabinet. We stood in the health and beauty area waiting for someone to assist with an item for about 20 minutes. The person with the key was one aisle away unloading a pallet. We used the buzzer a couple of times. As soon as we walked away she walked over and unlocked the cabinet and began putting items in it?!?!? read more

I give this place 2 stars because I still have to shop there occasionally and everyone is rude. It really sadness me to know some "managers" there don't even manage. I witnessed a "manager" argue with a customer because he wanted to pay for his boxes of fruit and there where no scales to weigh them at the time. Let me be clear this "manager" was rude AF to this man. Mind you I heard and seen the whole conversation and if she would've have been the "manager" she's supposed to be then she wouldn't catch attitude from customers. That's what I don't get, I'm damn near 40 years old and I wish and pray for anyone who speaks me to me like is going to catch a good one!!!!!!!! Little girl if you don't like your job or are burnt out just like your attitude then leave!!!! We set a pickup order for 4-5pm. We understand there could be delays and such, so it didn't bother us that there was a 2 hour delay for picking. After 6:30, we received a notification that our order was ready. We arrived to the store by 7p, only to find no pickup parking spots open and had to put that we are in an unmarked spot. Over an hour and a half goes by and no groceries. This is after multiple times confronting the first pick up associate we saw and being told "you are next." Come to find out the 2nd of the two workers working pick up quit cause of how backed up it was, leaving one employee. We waited over an hour and a half in the parking lot. If you don't have the adequate staff to run the Pick up, don't allow so many slots for people to submit orders. The one worker working was working as hard as he could, but he would disappear for 30 minutes at a time, assumably having to do 5 people's jobs by himself. Horrible experience. read more

As far as Walmarts go, this is probably the worst one I have ever been in. It was dirty and very cramped. Nothing was organized like the other Walmarts. You know how everything is in the same place? No so here. I had to walk around several times to find flip-flops. Checking out was also ridiculous. There were only two lanes open. Why have 20 lanes if you're only going to use 2? This is my last time going to this Walmart. The greeters were absolutely welcoming. Every single time I come in I'm greeted by cheerful people. Every time I check out its a totally different story, I always speak and ask how the employee is doing. The first time I came across this lady that checked me out she was rude! She didn't speak, she didn't ask how I was she literally rolled her eyes as she was checking out my items. The second time I didn't realize I had her again. Prior to me walking up the register she was talking to the other employee at a different register loud and clear about how Greenwood Mall had closed early due to the riots that have broken out across the city. I heard every single word and she was engaged in that conversation. As soon as I placed my items on the belt I said hello. She looked at me and kept ringing out my items. So I said it again and asked how she was doing, thinking she didn't hear me. She was very short with me and said (FINE) like she was annoyed I asked how she was. At this point I asked to speak with the manager. He wasn't welcoming either I said hello and he didn't even respond. I told him this was my second encounter with this lady and has been incredibly rude to just MYSELF. Other customers who weren't BLACK she engaged and talked to, as soon as I walk up I get a cold shoulder. I hate the race card but nobody is stupid. If she has an issue with people of color she should not be working there. I spend at least $200 bucks each time I go i will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out. The manager said he would sit down talk to her but I honestly doubt it. I will be following up and will be contacting corporate as well. read more

The mother of all irony is resentment! At least that's what I felt for Pantene Pro V Nature Fusion moisture balance conditioner! I used this conditioner for the first time & instantly had breakage! My hair started coming out in droves literally! I thought that it was just the hormones but my baby is 7 months! What hormones? So, I also used it on my daughter hair which is waistlength & her hair is breaking around the edges & I noticed a difference in her length. Not to mention how drying it is to both hers & my hair! Since we have to different textures some things work for her & don't me & vice versa. This though was a common ground between us! Me & the kids walked here since it's only a half mile from where we live! I do this often for the exercise & to spend quality time with them. We get to Wally World & the two older ladies tagged my conditioner they were very polite! I told the lady my experience with the conditioner. She asked me for the receipt which I didn't have. If I kept all of my receipts then the Anti-Paper Industry will have me MIA! Long-story short, I ended up exchanging it for Aussie which is perfect for my natural curly/wavy tresses! I also ended up getting a whole $.14 refunded back to me! I always get good service here every time I go! I can't speak for other reviewers, but I'm content! read more

Spent an hour, a week in advance, trying to reach the deli to place a 100 piece fried chicken order for 5:15pm on Super Bowl Sunday. Operator finally paged them after by 3rd phone call. Placed my order. Called at 11am day of Super bowl to ensure order was placed and would be ready to take to Super Bowl party. Was assured by Deli Manager all was well. Arrived at 5:15 to pick up order. Deli Manager informed us that they had sold out of fried chicken but could sell us 100 pieces of spicy chicken and order would be ready in 20 minutes. Unbelievable! I asked the Deli Manager why she didn't call us to warn us. She replied that the store phones don't dial out. We left with no chicken. I have had it with poor customer service from Walmart. This store is being ran with a skeleton crew. 20 employees in the entire building. Never again. read more

This isn't so much for the Walmart but for two particular employees. Late the other night after the bakery closed there was an employ named Chris who worked deli and had no experience in the bakery but he seen how desperate my husband and i were to order our daughters first bday cake he tried his hardest to help and get our order straight then when he needed help he walked over to the service desk and requested a manager Jerrod (SP?) they were very courteous and helpful apologizing for how long it was taking and the got our order down correctly and straightened us out even though they were kind of just muddling along.
