Returned a steam cleaner that wasn't sold in the store. The steamer smelled horrible upon opening the box as of it had been used and returned. The online return process was effortless. The lady in returns was friendly and efficient. I haven't been inside this store in 2 years. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the new layout for health and beauty. It's now located across from check out in a secure marked off area with most of the items locked in cases. I didn't see a store clerk available. Wow, this is what Katy has become? Some months ago a former employee was shooting outside the store. Two years ago someone was yelling "the n word" in the aisles. This was one of the main reasons I stopped shopping at Walmart due to the patrons. We shouldn't have to make death or life decisions when selecting a store to shop. Not to be confused with the Walmart Suppercenter, which is where you go to get supper, or to buy prints of The Last Supper. We have been to this Walmart so many times now, and it's excellent for petrol (aka gas), but not always for other things. I think that a couple of the other Katy locations have better selections, but at least the parking lot is large, and we've seen worse. I'll stick with the 3 star rating, even though if I was reviewing the gas station, it'd score 4. My previous review said: I've been spending a lot of time in Katy (not Perry) (unfortunately), and this is the Walmart of choice because it's close to all the (bubble tea cough cough) places I usually go to in Katy. Katy Perry was famous for doing the leg kicking thing in her California Gurls video, so my version of Katy is doing some leg-ish things here in Walmart Katy in the pix. Seems about right. So I'm not giving 1 or 5 stars because we were sold a pack of sugar free redbulls for 22$ and when we opened the package at the house the box was filled with mixed redbulls of all kinds that were expired and seemed to have beach sand all over the cans. When we returned the item, the original lady at customer service gave us a very hard time even though all the RedBull cans were accounted for. We had to explain why we were not trying to scam them and didn't want money but to exchange for what we actually paid for. The lady said hold on and walked away and started helping another customer. After 10-15 minutes her Co-worker Ms.Erika, stepped up to us and offered to help because she noticed what was going on and that the other trash lady left us to just stand there. So Thanks you Ms. Erika at customer service for helping us and it's a shame because people like you should be promoted for doing more for us as customers. It is anyone's guess on how they handle their grocery pickup. Had a 8am pickup time and I was the 2nd car to arrive. 2 cars came after me. The order that the groceries were delivered to the cars started with the last to arrive, then the 3rd to arrive, then the first that was already here and the myself. I bought a set of tires Goodyear tires from Walmart about a year ago six of those months I actually worked from home. Recently the tire had been vibrating heavily when I go 70 MPH plus. I went to Walmart on Morton Ranch and they performed a balance but it didn't solve the issue. I went to Firestone and got my front end checked out and they couldn't find anything but they suspected that something was going on with the rim. So I took it to a rim shop on Hwy 6 and they couldn't find anything wrong with the rim. So then I got a rotation to see if it was the tire and instead of the vibration coming from the front end, it was coming from the back post rotation. So I went to Wal Mart at Katy Mills since I work in the area now and spoke to Michael. I provided the aforementioned information and he suggested a balance even though he found an infraction in the tire. He suggested getting a new tire if the balance didn't work. So I went there today, waited 30 minutes while Michael was at lunch and he agreed that I should get a new tire. I told him that the tire was still under warranty and I would like to get it prorated. He was in agreement with that but he contacted his manager (who was not there) for approval. His anal rententive manager Jose suggested that something was wrong with my front end or rim and down right refused to allow me to get the tire prorated. In fact, he also suggested that I contact Goodyear. I didn't pay Goodyear for a warranty, I PAID WALMART!!!!!!! I have been patronizing Walmart Auto Center for 25 years and I never thought I would see the day that they would refuse to honor their warranty. I tell you what, if someone doesn't respond to my this, not only will Walmart loose my patronage but I'm going to tell everyone and their grandma about my experience. This place has a store FULL OF USELESS EMPLOYEES! Walmart is NOT short handed, there is no excuse for a store full of LAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL employees. I want to write a review for one of your employees. Your Manager Robert, has the best customer service I've ever experienced at Walmart. My sister and I went to how many different Walmart's looking for a particular Christmas tree and the staff at the other locations weren't helpful due to it being very busy during holiday season. However, at this location, when we asked Robert, he was very helpful. He saw that they had what we were looking for in the back in one of the trucks so he had his staff unload it and he went to the back and helped us carry the tree to the front. Also, I went back a few days later needing another item and again they were sold out and Robert ended up finding me what I needed. He's very helpful and hands down probably the best employee you have there! read more

I picked up the phone called the courtesy desk and said "do a call for customer service at the jewelry counter" five of us waiting. I got a "WHO is this??" Justin, assistant manager, likes to use innuendos to make accusations. I purchased a product and when I got home the box was empty. Within 40 mins I was back at the store requesting the same item or a refund. Justin came on the scene and dropped the innuendo that I was running a scam. LOL. Apparently Justin projects, a lot. We already went inside to check if we can just pick up the orders ourselves but the lady said rudely to wait. They have no customer service here. There are many things I can't find. Gas station is average price or higher, I feel. Staff are helpful.

I use their order online and pick up at the store. The people who help in that department are always cheerful, bring out the groceries despite heat or cold, and carefully put things in my car. I never thought I would be happy with groceries I didn't select myself, but they do amazing job. I like that I don't have to go into the store and they make it easy to re-order. I love shopping at this Walmart the best super center by far. It is very organized which is right down my alley and the employees are very nice. I haven't yet had a bad experience in this store. It's very nice to know the pharmacy is available as well as the vision center. There's a Wood Forest bank inside and a McDonalds there's also a nail parlor in there... Seems very... Interesting that people go there maybe because it's convenient but my feet will go nowhere near those filthy tubs eeek. Lol but that's just my opinion. The greeter in the garden center has memorized my husband and I he always jokes with us and say " wow! You guys are back here Again" lol we get what we need and are out. Well who ever goes in and come out with exactly what they need you always get extra. Lol the lines aren't long and I love that. There all wearing cleaned uniforms which I love. That's a pet peeve of mine some Walmart stores you go in the customer service is horrible the lines are long the employees seem over worked and underpaid and hate there job there clothes are always dirty, stained or faded. It's Wal Mart, but it's a good one. The store is always clean and well stocked. Their children's department isn't very good, but their craft section is better than most Wal Marts. They generally have pretty good produce and a surprisingly nice selection of candy. This is my favorite Wal Mart in Katy. read more

Visited the Auto Center. Was told by the manager (Peter) that it would take approximately an hour and 45 minutes to two hours to complete the service. I expressed that the time frame was fine that I had to pick my wife up from the Metro at 3:30pm (this was just before 1:00pm). Three and a half hours later it was done. Had to hire Lyft to get her to Walmart. No communication or contact made as to why it took so long. Very in organized. You can tell the staff is on an hourly pay range, because it shows. No remorse or apologies. Extremely slow service. Poor management. Lesson learned. Will not be visiting this Walmart again. read more

Joy @ the Automotive centre was awesome. She knew her stuff inside out. They are busy there and once the job was completed - about an hour, they called me to inform that the vehicle was ready for pick up. Besides, their pricing for a tire install was ridiculously low. Five bucks for putting on a tire I purchased online at another website. Replaced 2 tires for 10 bucks. So, 10 bucks for 2 tires - they whole process included - remove wheel/old tire from car, remove old tires, install new tires, balance wheel, put wheel and tire back on car, drive car back to parking lot.
