I was super happy to find gasoline at prices comparable to Austin,TX at this HEB. Houston's gas prices are generally 50c to $1 more per gallon than Austin. The gas station was self-service. It was starting to get cold again so folks were bundled up trying to stay warm. In fact, some folks starting the gas pumping process and stayed in their cars until their car's tank was full. First, H‑E‑B is my favorite grocery store. They seem to stay in tune with the residents of the neighborhoods where their stores exist. Culturally conscience. Their brands in most cases are as good or better than the national items on the shelves. I'm a huge fan of the bakery which is yet to make anything I don't like. The meat and seafood selections are always fresh and plentiful. The staff that are busy filling curbside orders are always willing to pause and answer any questions you may have. I've recently discovered they have small events for customers. I had my sister and niece with me shopping and ended up stopping in for their ice cream event. Teach your associates to be curious and respectful. This location is probably one of the worst locations I've ever gone to. You will rarely have a cashier say thank you or even engaged in conversation most of them are busy, chewing or chatting with each other. Then there is a entire group that push the carts around gathering orders for people who want to pick up the food without troubling themselves to come in and shop Make sure you're aware of where their location is because you will more than likely be sideswiped or you'll have to work hard to get around them. The store seems to be in a constant state of a restocking in the parking lot is always full. It's stressful and archaic. There are always things they are out of and restocking seems to be an issue. It's sad. I knew Mr. Butt and met him with Sam Walton several times. I don't think a store full of people that don't acknowledge his customers was something he wanted. I shopped today in H‑E‑B by Grand Pkwy and West Bellfort, MARY in the self check out came up to me saying I needed to spend $20 to use the coupon for the Soda. So I told her that I already scanned 2 items which is $9.77 and $10.28, she then proceeds on making a comment "well it's only $19" and I told her that it's more than $20 (Your prejudiced brain can't even do simple math). I normally have the grocery store steam my seafood. I have tried it from several grocery chains and it's always good. Today was my second attempt at this location. First time it was overcooked and I just figured it was a bad day or something. I didn't worry to much about it. I tired again today. I got 2 lobster tails, and two different types of shrimps, with Cajun seasoning. They were prepared terribly! Over cooked to the point it was hard, chewy and rubbery! And over seasoned! All we tasted was pounds of saltiness! I paid $44 for that junk! I brought the food home. Hubby and kids were excited for the meal and it was such a disappointment! 3.5 stars and $$? Well maybe I lack accurate context in my perspective since I live in the "Tri-State" area of NJ near NYC where prices and cost of living are higher. I'd love to learn what's better bang for the buck around here, because compared to my area, I walk into this place and see newer ShopRite size and selection, but with Whole Foods quality and decor, and excellent service from the staff here. Were there a few specific things that I was looking for but couldn't find? I mean, that's to be expected when ya travel both across the Mason Dixon Line if you will, plus you're traveling to the opposite coast. We need a HEB in New Orleans! First of all they have the cool a$$ kid cart that they can do their own shopping and also a racecar like cart that parents can push their child and shop the same time. My toddler newphew loves his kid cart! HEB is a supermarket chain mainly in Texas. They provides a Bakery, dairy, deli, frozen foods, gasoline, general grocery, meat, pharmacy, produce, seafood, snacks. I really also like that they also provides discount coupons in store which I believe get more sales and so much helpful to people like me who always forget my cutout coupons when I really needed it. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I was so surprised when we were there and they were selling boiled crawfish with all the fixings. The smell reminds me of home. read more

The HEB is a great place and might as well be an HEB Plus...except for the bakery. This is the second time I purchase a pack of baked goods from their bakery with every single good being uncooked. First time, I was just purely unlucky but the second time with all 6 donuts still raw, that is not a coincidence. These bakers NEED to make sure their desserts are fully cooked because they could seriously get in trouble when and if someone gets severely sick from salmonella. LOVE H-E-B! This location is very new and they are still getting things set up. I find the location very convenient from where I live and was really excited when I found out they were building one closer. I don't believe this one is a large as the Cinco Ranch location but it isn't such a hassle to get in and out of. I went opening week and everyone was so nice and helpful. I had at least 5 people as if I needed any help locating anything. They also had LOTS of sample stations throughout the store. This H-E-B is no different than any of the others for the selection and variety of items they offer. They also have gas pumps and the prices seem very competitive for the area. read more

I visited this store during the weekend. I was told that they have the best crawfish by a family member so I drove 45 minutes to come and get the crawfish from this store. The store is nice clean. I shop for a few other items that I needed for the holiday weekend. My problem started when it was time to check out. Due to my account being compromised my bank cancelled my card so I was using a check. For some reason the store denied my check. They said I have to call my bank, spend almost 5 minutes waiting to speak to someone and I was informed that there was no hold on my account. I was offer by one of your employees that was helping me to come back the next day, I explain I live far and rather not. I ask for a Wells Fargo around the area. I informed your employee that I will be back. It took me not even 10 minutes to get back. I look for your employee and he approach me like he didn't remember me. I informed him that I was back with cash and ask for my items. He told me that he thought I was not coming back so he send everything back. I was so upset did he not hear what I said when I left the store? I was so upset. He's response to me was so cold that I just walked out of the store. I must say I'm not an HEB costumer my family has tried to make me shop at this store. With this experience I will definitely not do it. I will continue to give my business to Krogers. read more

Oh how lame Covid changed things. This usto be a great location. My plan was always to get there nice n early to avoid most of the walk-in traffic later in the day. Not the case anymore. There is no longer a "good time" to shop here. Now, instead of lots of people, there are tons of personal shoppers. ALL of them are inconsiderate. They are either blocking the whole freakin isle while they shop or hanging around flirting with each other. Oh, and when it's not them blocking the isles, it's the stockers. Let me start off by saying that I am a diehard H-E-B fan. That being said, I have frequented many H-E-B's in the Houston and surrounding areas, and some leave a lot to be desired. This H-E-B rocks. It's new, and conveniently located across the street from the new shopping center that has a Target, Marshall's, and a Petsmart wayyy out here in the boonies aka Richmond, TX. I walked in today, and was pleasantly surprised to see complimentary coffee available until noon! Score. The produce section is always extremely well stocked, clean, and organized. It's always really busy on the weekends but they have plenty of staff stocking and organizing which I can appreciate. Same goes for their meat and dairy section- and I love the coupons available all throughout the store to take advantage of their products. Btw, HEB brand products are the real deal. I really like their Healthy Living section and always stop by for some trail mix or freshly ground almond butter. They also have a Kombucha station where you can bottle your own tap Kombucha to take home. I love this HEB! read more

H-E-B Pharmacy is incompetent. I had 6 injections in my left arch and heel on Friday morning. My Dr. told me that the prescribed steroids must be taken with the injections and that she would call the prescription in to my pharmacy on record. I went to pick up my meds and was told that there was no script for me. Being that it was to late to call the Dr. Office I figured I'd try again the next day. Next day, went in requested my meds, nothing. When I returned home I attempted to contact my Dr. but to no avail. Monday morning I called the Dr's office and found out that the prescription was indeed sent in, confirmation number given, and the HEB could not figure out how to retrieve it. My health and life are to important to put in the hands of incompetent morons. read more

Kid friendly is highly sought after and desired when it comes to places I'm willing to be brave & bring my children along especially when it comes to grocery shopping because that's one of my least favorite things to do and let me tell you HEB has thought of everything! Which is why I adore them seriously they have the buddy bucks prize wheel which gives your kids an incentive to behave in the store otherwise they won't earn their buddy bucks! Works like a charm for mine so this is honestly one of my favorite stores not just the that reason I also adore their grocery deliver we use Instacart, you pay a small annual fee and you can order your groceries straight from that app, apply coupons and whala-groceries delivered to your front door in 2 hours, thank you HEB for all you do to make your customers busy lives just a little bit easier! I am only taking away 1 Star because I attempted to order a turkey and cheese roll up tray and was told this morning an hour before I'm suppose to pick it up-that you guys don't make that kind of tray. This pharmacist couldn't answer my question about children's Tylenol for my 16 month old. REALLY? I asked her if infant Tylenol was identical to Children's. I said the active ingredient was exactly the same but the price was 4 times as much. She said she did not know and was TOO BUSY filling prescriptions for people with the flu. SERIOUSLY? Shouldn't a pharmacist know the answer to that question? Isn't she supposed to answer these sorts of questions? Is she on commission that excludes OTC drugs?
