Changed from self checkout to cashiers only. Hate it. Reason? I will deliberately avoid this particular location bc of it now.

It's a Walmart! What do I expect? I wanted to get a pack of ink for the office printer but the one I needed they don't have it unfortunately.

Not to be confused with the Walmart Suppercenter, which is where you go to get supper, or to buy prints of The Last Supper. We have been to this Walmart so many times now, and it's excellent for petrol (aka gas), but not always for other things. I think that a couple of the other Katy locations have better selections, but at least the parking lot is large, and we've seen worse. I'll stick with the 3 star rating, even though if I was reviewing the gas station, it'd score 4. My previous review said: I've been spending a lot of time in Katy (not Perry) (unfortunately), and this is the Walmart of choice because it's close to all the (bubble tea cough cough) places I usually go to in Katy. Katy Perry was famous for doing the leg kicking thing in her California Gurls video, so my version of Katy is doing some leg-ish things here in Walmart Katy in the pix. Seems about right. Prices are as ever, bargain basement, and check out is usually faster than the ones in Houston. It's a bougie Walmart, and open later than you can imagine, so I can't give it less than 3.

WALMART DOES NOT OFFER FREE SHIPPING, THAT OPTION IS GONE!

Typical WalMart. If you are looking for a cleaner experience, go to the one at Grand and FM 1093.

Cheap, dusty, some nice staff, some ok. Odd layout. Bathrooms in the front, between the two entrances. McDonalds!

This walmart is clean, however, it never has enough help in the Pharacy area and always has long lines and not very friendly service.

The store sign is as retro as the rest of the strip mall block and has remained a steady place for affordable Japanese imported goods. Compared to other stores in the country, this one is spacious and features an excellent inventory for all to explore. The store layout is simple, but clean, organized, and extremely tidy. Their kitchenware and home goods are my go-to and the office / school supplies are always a hit. Every few weeks the selection of goods changes, so while they have a wide range of products, keep an eye out for seasonal goods like snacks, stuffed animals, and holiday items. From quirky gifts to household items, there really is something for everyone here. Gone are the days where everything was a $1, but most items are priced right around the $1.50 mark and up. I don't know how it's going to look due to the upcoming tariffs, but fingers crossed that the price tag stays relatively the same. Their budget friendly concept means folks will still keep coming, Because parking is in a large shared lot, it's never an issue finding a spot. It may lack the new bells and whistles of its sister location in Cinco Ranch (#2), I'm happy they've managed to expand to offer additional unique options to the Katy-Houston area. A "bargain outlet" with 500+ locations across 3 dozen states, they have massive inventory that covers everything from mattresses to children's books. If Costco and Dollar Tree had a baby, it would be named Ollie's. I hate to generalize by saying they have everything, but it's really hard to suggest that they don't. There's appliances, apparel, sporting equipment, toiletries, electronics, office supplies, storage supplies, shoes, sporting gear, pet supplies, home decor, etc. It's really easy to get lost in everything they have. However, calling in might be an issue as their customer service is very spotty at best. The website isn't the most reliable in confirming inventory, so perusing in person is usually ideal. At the end of the day, affordable stuff that doesn't feel cheap even when it is. More importantly, I've scored some impressive deals and almost everything was of good-to-great quality.
