Walmart isn't faithful go to customer service is on point and if there a problem they will fix it

My experience with the folks in the vision center has been excellent. I recently brought a pair of too-tight frames that I purchased from a different online vendor to the vision center. On my first visit, the employee, whose name I do not recall, made several adjustments to the frames but despite her efforts, the frames still were not quite comfortable. I also had an older pair of identical frames on hand as a point of comparison and she offered to switch out the lenses from the new frames to the old frames. I decided not to do this at the time. After a few days of wearing the adjusted frames and still feeling pain, I returned to Walmart and requested that they switch out the lenses. Lakeesha helped me this time. Apparently the identical frames weren't exactly identical and it was harder than expected to simply switch out the lenses. Lakeesha went above and beyond... even going so far as to shave one of the lenses to fit better. Just an overwhelmingly positive experience during both of my visits. read more

I never expect anything when I go to Walmart because let's face it it's Walmart but I had NEVER been treated like I was this afternoon. Went to self checkout and was going to get a bone for my dog it would not scan. Called the "attendant" over who proceeds to look in my bags and look at the screens saying she is going to have to rescan everything because I put things in my bags that I did not scan. Fast forward she starts ringing up everything I had already rung and what do you know!!!! Same total that it was at the register. I questioned her and she kept her mouth shut. I asked for corporates number and she tells me "it's on the internet figure it out yourself". NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! read more

Came to get a few things, grabbed what I needed until I came to get a phone glass cover, which is locked in a glass case. I waited, watched the guy help two customers, went to lay away asked the ladies there for help.. 10 min later I see the guy again, asked him for help, he helped 4 other customers and finally helped me‍ read more

The Walmart located at 2428 West Pinhook Road Lafayette, La. The employees there don't know where anything is located on the shelves when asked and don't try at all. There will be lots of people trying to checkout and no one wants to use the self-checkout and supervisors won't even try to open any lanes with checkout employees. Employees will be standing around just talking to other employees. I will NOT shop at this location until something is done. read more

Went thru checkout, took a total of 45 minutes, 3 clerks, voiding 2 complete transactions, putting my groceries back thru the checkout, finally taken to the service desk, another 15 minutes. Spoke to a manager that would not listen, while I tried to tell him the ordeal I had experience, after my second sentence, he said he was so sorry without even listening to what had happened. Get home and my frozen meat had thawed. Very disappointed in service. Not sure if the problem lies with incompetence in machines or employees but I will do self checkout from now on. read more

This Walmart has cured me from shopping at any Walmart period. The last time I went there was a couple of months ago. I was buying a huge list of baking items to bake some cakes. As I approached the register, I realized the big bag of sugar I had was punctured and sugar was pouring out. I decided to give it to a Walmart associate and let them know rather than putting it back on the shelf. One of them was walking towards me with her Walmart vest. "Excuse me ma'am," I said, holding up the bag of sugar. She did not even look at me. I had to step aside to avoid her running into me. Really?!?! A rude, snobby "sales associate?" No problem! I put the sugar back on the shelf, left all of my baking supplies in the basket, and left the store. I immediately transferred all of my prescription meds from Walmart Pharmacy to Target. I'm NEVER going to a Walmart again! read more

Not from Lafayette. Went to the closest Walmart. In the bakery dept, 1 item was moldy and 1 was COVERED with mold. On the bread isle, they didn't have the brand of bagels I usually get. Picked up a bag of a different brand and was horrified to see almost half of it covered in mold. I was totally grossed out and I quickly left the store. Nice new painted outside. I travel all over the states and have been in Walmart's from coast to coast. This store is, hands down, the worst I've ever entered. Always looks like a post Black Friday day. Empty shelves, unorganized shelves, dirty, consistently out of items. Empty cold cases. No clue how they stay in business. Short-staffed and the employees who are there would rather not be. In this store you're considered a thief. If you want makeup you have to pay for it separately. If you want groceries, you have to pay for it separately. If you want liquor, you have to pay separately. Why would you go to a store because it has everything you need only to have to make three separate transactions?! You can't even get feminine products there without having to page for help, wait forever and then have a teenager from sporting goods unlock the cabinet. Be prepared to check yourself out too and have them go through your cart checking the receipt. NEVER GOING BACK. read more

It's a Walmart, so set your expectations appropriately. I have had good help (such as in the electronics section) and, uh, let's say no help because I asked the wrong person the wrong question. But It's a big store and lots of things. I can say definitely it's my favorite of the Lafayette Walmarts. So, I recommend it. Yah, I go here a lot. I have also used the order ahead and pickup at the curb, which worked very well. But since I'm retired, I can wander the store at my leisure. Hmmm, so do I need another ice chest for crawfish boils? read more

Terrible policies ! you can not go into the dressing room with your own kids to try on clothes. When I asked what is the age cut off so I would know whether I could go in with my young son. They had no idea what the age cutoff was and were very rude because I asked a question. read more

I will never step foot in a Walmart again! Non existent customer service, lazy and down right stupid (yes I said stupid), slovenly employees and filthy store. It takes them forever to answer a phone, can't understand anything that came out of her mouth, hung up on me 3x while transferring me to the grocery pick up line. I finally gave up and just drove up to the store and went in to let them know I needed to pick up my groceries. Kind of defeats the purpose of being quicker. Another time I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come back to the pickup area when I was waiting to pick up a small online order. Meanwhile there were at least 5 employees that I could see in the back jacking around. If you sent the employees to your Walmart "University" they should of all failed!!! If Walmart cared, they would send someone from the corporate office down here to check this store out! But, then again I believe, from what I have seen at other stores across the country, they aren't any better! read more

We have been to this location several times in the past, but service this time was absolutely ghastly. We came for a simple pickup order, available for pickup between 6 and 7, notified by phone that the pickup was ready. We parked at 6:35 p.m., and we weren't able to leave until 7-freaking-30. Add to that the 30 minutes it took us to get home, and unload, and this little trip took us as much time as we would have taken in the store! And yes, I realize, first world problems, but I'm a big believer in the idea that if you are going to offer service, it should be done well. Add to that that no sales associate that interacted with us was wearing her mask properly, except for a woman named Ebonie who was finally able to find out what exactly had happened. The punchline? "They had put [our] order in an awkward place, and kept missing it." Ridiculous. Several bags of frozen food were almost halfway thawed, and I'm curious about how well the milk is going to do. All in all, bad service, disorganization, bad safety protocols, and no real way to address the problem. As an extra added bonus, I tried to contact the store to tell them about the problem, and nobody would answer, not in pick up, not in customer service, nobody. I could sit here hearing that ring tone for the next 45 minutes. 15 minutes, and it is still ringing now. read more

I was using the coin star at this Walmart, and after putting all my coins in my baby accidentally turned off the machine. so then I went to customer service to ask for help and tell them what happened she said well let me go look at it, so she tapped the screen a few times and then she asked one of her employees to call coin star and then I follow them back to customer service and they were just talking and I just stood there for a couple of minutes and she just was ignoring me so I said so should I wait here are they going to take long and she said they're going to take two or three days to come look at it. But the lady said that she was going to call coin I never saw her try to call them. so I called coin star and they told me that they should have a key for the machine. So I told The lady that was in customer service that and she said oh let me go ask somebody so she asked her manager, he said oh I can't find the keys so they had to look again and then finally found the key and then he put it in the machine and he said that the key is not working it's shaky whatever that means and then they finally got it to work. then the manager told me that he needs a passcode and he doesn't know it, so I told the lady from the coin star and she got really mad when I said that she said let me talk to The manager so I gave the phone to the manager and she said you should know the passcode. so she told him the password and I got my money. just please be aware of this Walmart please do not use their coin star are stealing people's money. The only reason Wal-Mart gets as much business as it does is because it's convenient.

I had only 3 items... water soap and apples... the cashier only handed me water and apples.. and Kept my soap! I tried calling back but of course no picks up in that department! When I finally get an answer I was told to bring my receipt because it's not at the register! Now I have to drive all the way back just for my soap she could have put in the same bag! will not be shopping at this Walmart anymore! read more

This location is horrible! Always super busy with minimal registers open... Stand in line forever to check out. They can care less how slow they are and very rarely open extra registers to help with the long lines...... If at all possible stay away from this place. Go somewhere else and pay more if you have too. It will be worth not dying in line waiting to check out! read more

Shelves are not stocked regularly. Lines are long at register. They rely on self checkout. Cashiers don't call customers from other lanes when their lane is open. Most cashiers run off as soon as they can. There is little help in the isles when shopping. Employees like to hangout and chat with each other and then scatter if you get close to them. They are like a flock of pigeons. read more

This wal-mart SUCKS! The employees never know where anything is. They stock in the middle of the day. Everything is always a mess and never where it is supposed to be. Certain items are often unstocked for months at a time. They hardly ever seem to have the regular products that I prefer to buy. They sometimes have only one lane open at a time when they could have the entire self-check-out area open. The employees stand around talking and blocking aisles. Not to mention, there's nowhere in the store to sit and rest my back and bad knee, because they moved ALL of the benches to the side of the building outside, for an employee break area I assume, and the employees STILL smoke cigarettes right in front of the entrances!!!! I HATE this wal-mart, and if I had a choice I would shop anywhere else but here. Unfortunately, I don't have transportation, so my fiance and I have to walk to this wal-mart nearly every day to get the things we need. I despise giving my money to this corporation. Horrible service and attitude towards customers. At this location, the customer is always wrong and the associates are always right. You have to get ready and stand up for yourself every time you make a visit to this place. I've come to this location and the one in Broussard to return items using the Walmart app. On the app, after you select the correct receipt that the item(s) are on the app tells you to press "return item" and then gives you a code which says to show to an associate to do a return. Dwaine, you gave me a horrible experience!! Not only did he tell me that they do not do returns from a receipt on a phone, but he suggested that I was lying about ever going to a Walmart and returning an item through the Walmart app. He tried and tried to refuse me to be able to use the app for a return, but I was persistent. Finally, at the end of the transaction he said "huh, I guess it did work. Learn something new everyday". No apology. Not even one sorry!! read more

This Walmart had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called 5 times to find out if they had a certain mattress and I was directed to an empty line 3 times and hung up on twice. I highly recommend using a different store for your regular shopping. read more
