On my first visit I purchased over $200 worth of goods. Upon my arrival home I was excited to put to work a leather bound water bottle. To my disappointment, the great flood was coming out of the bottom of the bottle. Understanding that things happen, I call the next day and was greeted with understanding and it eagerness to fix the product. I was told it was going to be a two week turnaround and unfortunately I was going to be leaving out of town for two months. Upon my arrival back to the store.... I had asked if I could exchange the water bottle for other items in the store, but because the manager was not on location one of the service team members called her. This woman is truly the worst person I have ever talked to on the telephone!!!!!!! She was not willing to exchange the product, she was not willing to do a refund while I was in the store and she had mentioned that she wouldn't be there until Tuesday of the following week where she wouldn't be able to do anything until then. So gracefully, I told her I would pay for the items in cash that I had picked out while I was in there and would she be able to do a refund or a credit on Tuesday when she comes in? She angrily and aggressively replied no! I can repair the product and you can come pick it up when you return home in two months. I will never be returning to the store again!!! I don't care how nice your stuff looks. If you sell somebody a defective product and you have a returning client you should attend to their needs and wants to ensure that they remain a return client. Shame! If I were the owners of that business I'd give her the fucking boot as fast as possible!!

Every year around mid February through May, Tractor Supply has its Chick Days, which is a time where you can purchase real chicks to add to or start your flock. These tiny, feathery babies are hanging out in tubs in a caged area of the store. You can't touch them or pick them up, but you can look at them and listen to them chirp so sweetly. It's worth it to hit up a Tractor Supply during Chick Days just to peep these tiny, feathered friends. While you're in Tractor Supply, you can also check out all of the other things that they sell, which is farm and gardening supplies, durable work clothing, propane, tractors and other farm riding equipment, and also books and magazines about farm and gardening. This particular Tractor Supply store seems small, but they have a lot of stuff packed into the space. But it's not at all cramped! It feels tidy but full of all of the things you might need. The service here was great, but mostly, the people who work here leave you alone to browse or gaze longingly at baby Black Sex Links (insert Beavis and Butthead laugh here).

I wish they carried more than one bag of mini pig food at a time -- maybe they do and it's just all gone by the time we get there, but we get to stop in pretty often since we're buying it one bag at a time. We'd love an option to buy in bulk! Other than that, we're always happy with our visits here. We had help filling up seven propane tanks, which we greatly appreciated!

Today, Max's son, Dr. John Cowan operates the pharmacy. The drug store maintains its historic and independent charm. The pharmacy counter stands as it did 50 years ago, serving customers. The first six prescriptions filled in 1885 hang framed on the wall surrounded by vintage pharmaceutical bottles. The pharmacy provides vaccines as well as fills prescriptions. The store also sells a great selection of Hallmark cards and gifts, local postcards, candy and nuts. While the photo shop within the drugstore closed years ago, a collection of vintage cameras is displayed on shelves. The Cubbard is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in the rear of the store. The food is down home delicious. You see the same friendly faces every visit. Cowan's is an amazing locally owned business and worth a visit. There is free street parking.

He gave me an overview of the history of this store. They don't make them like they used too. As a pharmacist myself, he even let me tour the back (and I am HIPAA trained). If this pharmacy was closer to where I live, I would send prescriptions here. Keep up the great work! This place is a living museum with soul.
