Always pleased with this local store but this time specifically want to shout out to the very nice and friendly gentleman working in the hardware department who made four keys for me. I've had keys made many times in different stores and different types of stores, but this is the first time I've gotten home and found that every single key worked perfectly, just as clean as the key that originally came with the lock. Hate their roll-backs! First they raise the prices then they roll them back to the old price. I find myself going to Walmart less and less mainly because of their self-checkouts. Great grocery prices, lousy red meat {Unbranded}, choice is OK. All other meat is cut and packaged at the processing plants. grocery and produce are OK but you can't buy the same thing in the same week twice. Bakery is your run of the mill frozen bake off and prepackaged product.Deli prices are great but the service is beyond terrible, it's almost worth paying higher prices at Publix. PS: The red meat at Sam's Is USDA choice and cut in the store as is the pork and lamb.. Prices are better there also. By a lot!! read more

Surprising clean inside. A good sized supercenter.

This is the worst walmart ever! The shelves are about bare. If I go there, at least 4 to 5 items on my list are not restocked at all! Today it was Excedrin and dog waste bags. They hardly ever have my whole grain bread. Milos lemonade? I had to go to another walmart. I can make a long list of items they carry that they never have. I mentioned it to an employee and he said " I know, its embarrassing"! How sad is that? Luckily I work near one that is ALWAYS neat and well stocked! You would think with computerlization tjat they would know when they are low on stock and refill before too late! Get with the program Leesburg! (And Mt Dora no better!) read more

Employees are very friendly if you can find one. But if you are not trying to navigate all the merchandise they cram in the isles, you are dealing with the stockers and their carts and pallets. Forget about going there early morning to beat the crowds, the stockers are everywhere in your way. And why do they have to play their music so loud? I go their to shop , not to be entertained with music I do not like. I go in and get what I need and get out. No lingering and shopping in all that racket and hassle. No wonder brick and mortar stores are going the way of the dinosaurs. Prices and selection are not as competitive as they used to be. read more

The Walmart in Leesburg Florida is the absolute WORST one ever. We've been going there for 7 years, and after today, NEVER AGAIN! Dirty store, unfriendly staff, nobody to help a customer with anything. We gathered our purchases, waited in line for 10 minutes, finally got to a checkout. A family in front of us bought over $450.00 worth of purchases until there was a problem with something that the incompetent cashier couldn't figure out. Called for manager - Liz. It took Liz 5 minutes to get over to our checkout after she had to giggle and hug everybody on the way. THEN COULD'NT FIGURE IT OUT EITHER! We stood in line during the fiasco for 25 minutes. Asked to speak to a manager. This was it - Liz.Talked to 2 more employees standing there about our problem. Nobody knew what to do. We walked out. This is the dumbest, most incompetent store I've ever seen anywhere! Please start hiring people with some intelligence here! Went to the Villages Walmart and had a great experience. Liz needs to learn from these people. Will NEVER go back to Leesburg Walmart! By the way, in our area, it's called Welfare Walmart! read more

The ladie's room in the front is always nasty, I really needed to go and I ran in and ran right back out, it was like a campground bathroom, dirty stinky and out of paper. Service is terrible never enough registers open, and when it is your turn they are so slow!!! If you ask the meat guy for help he'd rude and has a squeaky voice you can't stand to listen to anyway. They are always out of at least 5 things we have o n our regular shopping list, like creamer, and toilet paper, we always buy the same brands. The Deli is a Joke, I have never seen slower people, even when they're isn't a line it takes 20 minutes just to get cheese and ham! They're are bugs in the produce on the tomatoes, the potatoes on sale all have eyes. They never have our coffee. There's never anyone to help you find something or retrieve from a top shelf. There's also this woman that is always around that has scraggly hair and a Mustashe, and every time I need help I find her in that section but if you ask her, "this isn't my section I don't know" The carts are all bad. The greeter doesn't greet. although the pharmacy ladies are nice. Elizabeth the manager lady is the rudest thing I've ever met, I could right a book, we drive over to 466 half the time just to get decent service! read more

I have only been here in Fruitland Park for a year and a half now but have been using this walmart pretty much every day. Each time I go in I am more disappointed although I have really been trying to hope for the next time. I am not sure whom orders the items here but it is truly the most poorly stocked place for variety I have ever been in for any city or state. This walmart is a retirement area store and has a very high volume. The Villages is only about 15 minutes from here to me along with Summerfield and I am always amazed at the difference in these stores. I work a lot and at night so it's really difficult to get out even the small distance but my husband and I both are now to the point that we will go out of the way. While many of the employees are always very pleasant and nice the customer service desk is always frustrated and short with the managers being only just under rude for a simple question. I am not sure if this is a ploy here but there are always more then enough of the highest priced items while the shelves or hooks surrounding it for the same item at the economy price are completely empty. Have run into many other frustrated customers saying the same. I live on bc powder and know that many others do here as well. I have learned to make certain to get this at dollar general. At times they are on the shelf but many other times all brands of bc and goodys are completely sold out. There were a few times I was on my way to work with a real need with a lot of pain going into this store only to find there was nothing but 6 empty rows for all quantities and sizes. Not once or twice but many times. Variety in pets, plus clothes for men and women are really sporadic and sparse; there is a marked difference in these areas between the Villages and Leesburg. My husband found a brand of octane booster for the car that worked well; we bought it twice. Each time we have gone in for the past 2 months it has not been restocked at all. The Walmart atm was out for a good year before being fixed and when I asked how to get our pay from the walmart debit card we have had for he past two years they simply had little to no info and simplified that it wasn't something they had anything to do with. There is never anyone available for the paints (I paint a lot in and around the house) and it is a very real problem trying to find anyone to help. At this point their paint machine has been out for the past week and a half-why keep the paint dept open really?!! This is appalling for this size store and should have been fixed the same day. I am using the smaller stores around me now for each item I need and trying to avoid this particular store; I am finding that we can find pretty much anything we need now around us and am also surprised to note that what used to be a very economical store in comparison is now really running average and even higher in price then the area dollar stores, dollar generals and even regular clothing stores around the area. read more
