I've shopped at 6 ShopRites in many different towns. So far, my favorite ShopRite is The Bound Brook ShopRite. This is a Super ShopRite. It's very large compared to other ShopRites but the biggest plus for me is they do a really good job at stocking and replenishing food and goods. That's one of my biggest pet peeves that many ShopRites just don't keep up with their stocking. If you go on a Sunday or Monday, a lot of the ShopRites are completely cleaned out by me. There's not enough of them and too many towns using the same ShopRite so they tend to run out often. I haven't experienced this with the Bound Brook ShopRite. Bound Brook ShopRite sells items I just can't get at other stores. Example Roasted Garlic powder and unique spices. They have brands from all over the world. They are laid out by sections, Chinese, Jamaican, Jewish, Italian,, Norwegian, Spanish etc. Their produce department is wonderful. They have a Specialty Cheese Department, Fish Department, cold Cuts and Salads Department etc. They have an Antipasto Bar that has all different types of Olives and Cheeses on it. Every time I go I buy their Antipasto which has Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone, Mozzarella Balls, different types of Olives, Cherry Peppers along with Roasted Peppers, It's all wonderful. If you're pressed for time and not into cooking, they cover that too. They have staff making fresh Soups,Chinese Food, Fried Chicken, along with many prepared options. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer a nice selection of gluten free options. They sell homage pastas, kielbasa and sausages etc. When I want cold cuts I go online to their ShopRite Express and place my order so I don't have to stand in line. I can choose the time I want my order to be ready and I coordinate that with my shopping they keep it refrigerated right across from the deli. They put your name on it along with your phone number and off you go you don't have to wait. The Bound Brook ShopRite is neat and clean. This place also has a Pharmacy and Floral section. This is a very busy store and the parking lot can get packed. There is handicapped parking not far from the entrance and electric seated shopping carts. There is also a revolving door entrance that is hands free. More pictures to come

    Nice bakery section! Jan 2022

This is a decent Shop Rite. It's owned by Saker which means it carries Dearborn Farms baked goods, and they are the best! The floral department is also amazing and many times I have found beautiful potted plants of all kinds, that were nicer than what I could find at an independent florist. Five stars for the bakery here and the florist! This store has a bank inside with a Coinstar machine. They have a huge selection of cigars. They have a whole aisle with greeting cards, both sides. It's a really big store and I can usually get everything from my shopping list, even more unusual produce like star fruit or jicama. I have to deduct a star for the self-checkout which is pretty annoying and very glitchy. The sensors often say there's something in the bagging area when there isn't and I have to shuffle things around until the computer allows me to proceed. I choose to have a cashier check me out whenever I can but sometimes the lines are extremely long and there aren't enough cashiers so I am forced to use self-checkout or wait 15 minutes on line. Check the expiration dates. Today I picked up several chocolate milks that were past the expiration date.

So far so good. I just moved and had to find a new grocery store. I have to say that this one is much than the ShopRite I was utilizing. The produce is way more fresh, staff consistently available. Even during a really busy time, I wasn't waiting on line for an extended period of time. I was sad that they ran out of my favorite laundry detergent but it was on sale at a great price so I get it. I could have asked for a rain check but forgot. I entered later in the evening and saw so many staff members cleaning and restocking. Unusual for me to see that at my previous store. I know there are stores much closer to me but cleanliness and customer service are my main requirements. I will travel for that. I hope they never disappoint.

I enjoyed shopping this store I thought it was very well laid out it was huge and well stocked everything seem to have a nice presentation. They have a small cafe style sit down area and a hot and cold food bar for the lunch rush. Every department had ready to go items either sliced deli meat or prepackage seafood or other similar ready-made meals ready to cook. I did have to ask for help to find a couple items that weren't where I thought they would be and employees were more than willing to show me the right way. I came here quite late a couple times they're open till midnight which I found very convenient for me. The only complaint I have is the parking lot it is a mess and I don't know if that something they're working on or if they're not they definitely should start. Overall cashiers were friendly and the store is clean when I shopped.

Empty shelves in the near department at noon on a Sunday.

For whatever reason, grocery stores in NJ seem to be as rare as hens teeth. In any event, this is a grocery store and it's not half bad.

I was looking for a good baguette in my neighborhood for a while. But as simple as a baguette may seem, making a tasty one is an art. I was running some errands when I suddenly felt pekish. I saw on Yelp that there was an "authentic French bakery" nearby and decided, "Why not?" Originally, I was thinking of getting a quiche, but as I got into the store, I decided to switch to an avocado egg sandwich. I am sure quiche is good, but I was impressed by the sandwich. It came on the plate with very fresh salad greens. Greens there fresh and sauce tangy, just what one needs to cut through the richness of avocado and egg. I think I had an entire Avacado cut on it. The avocado itself was just right. But the star of the show, for me, was a baguette! I inhaled the entire dish and asked if they sell baguettes on their own, which they do. The bakery associate told me they just ran out, but they are baking new ones now. If I wait 10-15 minutes, I will get a freshly baked one. I could not believe my lack. They came as promises and they were great, just smell alone was to die for There are so many other things I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Thank you guys, you all made my day!

I got a cronut (legit one of my fave donuts ever) for a car snack. Mind ya business. I'm not gonna lie. My box of dough and sidecar were $31. Pricey! But the service was warm, the donuts looked fresh and airy, and the other items - braided breads, cookies, etc. enticed me to visit again in the near future. Happy to spend my money in a local business. Also, the cronut was fantastic. So light, perfect tasting icing, great layers. I'd like to think I chose wisely.

Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!

Also love that it seemed like a small family owned operation I opted for the calamansi drink which was perfect for a 90 degree spring day and a pandan coconut pudding to bring home. I wish the pudding was a bit less sweet (I tend to dislike overly sweet things) but overall, this is the most extensive filipino dessert place I've found in the tri- state area and I will be back if I'm around somerville again
