This Walmart is quite literally the most terrible Walmart I've ever visited. But this isn't about the egregiously long lines, or the bad attitudes of some of the employees (actually, the two women I encountered were actually quite polite); this is me venting over why it's been over 24hrs and the "guy who puts bikes together in the back" still hasn't assembled my bike. The aforementioned bike came in on Wednesday. Ready for pickup at 10 am. Around 5pm, I went in to pick it up, saw it was still in the box, and asked if it could be assembled. The woman working the Pick-Up center assured me that it was possible, but the guy who puts bikes together wasn't scheduled to work until the following day. "It should be ready tomorrow," she said. "We'll call you." Thursday rolled around. I hadn't yet received a call by 6pm, but I just knew that the bike was ready. Alas, it wasn't. "Your bike isn't ready yet," the woman told me. "The guy is working on it now, though." "So I should just come back tomorrow?" I asked. "It shouldn't take that long," she replied. "Maybe a few hours. It's only a bike. How much workd could it be?" My sentiments exactly. It's only a bike. So roughly four hours later, when I returned to Walmart, it was with the expectation of leaving with my bike. There was a different woman in the back this time. I asked her about the bike, she went to the back for a few minutes, and returned to tell me THAT THE ASSEMBLY HADN'T EVEN BEGUN. This man spent a whole shift at work and did absolutely jack shit. This gross disregard for customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I rarely shop at this Walmart as it is. Rarely has turned into "never again." The Germantown Road location is a three/four star establishment. This one? I'd give it zero stars if I could. I should've ordered a bike from Sports Authority. I have cashed many checks with Walmart money center but not this location until today and it was declined and all she told me was I had to call an 800 number and after I did that she had no explanation as to why they wouldn't cash the check they only advice she gave me was to avoid Walmart and choose another check cashing place LOL what a joke if I go across town to the decent Walmarts they have no problem cashing the check !!!!! I just left this Walmart as it had lone lines that were 15 deep. Only 4 registers were open for checkout. Since management does not care then I don't either --- l walked off from a full basket of over $100 worth of merchandise. This place is a joke --- big laughs. read more

Worst customer service experience ever!!!! On Monday I came in and ordered a 2 tier cake to pick up Saturday morning. On Friday afternnoon at 2:00pm, I get a call from someone in the bakery who say "I'm not sure who took your order but she should have told you that you needed to come back in and put down a deposit in order for us to make the cake". I said well why didn't someone at least call me before today to say this. Paying for the cake is not a problem, I still need to have it in the morning what are you going to do. She said, let me talk to my manager and I'll call you back. Needless to say, I never received a call back so I went into the store. The manager comes out and says, we don't have the design kit for the cake you want, I'm going to call around to the local stores to try to find it, I'll call you. Needless to say, I never received a call back from him and I had to scramble to find another cake for my daughter's graduation. I would never trust this Walmart for any special occassion. read more

A recent visit to the Optical Department to purchase eyeglass frames where the Manager was very very disrespectful after an associate damaged my eyeglass lenses. He manager was arrogant and his behavior was unprofessional. I will never shop in the optical department again. read more

Worse return section of any of the Memphis Walmarts. There is always a long line n lucky if one employee on duty n two isn't much more of s help. Slow as molasses and the supervisors don't give a darn if there is a long line. read more

I had went to this Walmart tonight because it was the closest one. I usually come to this Walmart, I either walk, or ride my bike. So I always have a backpack to carry my purchases, along with a bottle of water. Tonight, I walked into the Walmart, and of course I had my bag, I had road my bike. There was an officer in uniform standing at the door flirting with some of Walmart's employees. He sees that I have my bag and tells me I can't have it. I told him I was only getting one thing and that I would be out. He told me to leave my bag with the door greeter and that she will make sure nothing happens to it. I took my valuables out of the bag to make sure it would be secure. As I was walking away from my bag, four what seemed to be teens walking passed me. The smell was unbearable. They smelled of weed. But the officer had said nothing to them. I am almost 100% sure that the officer could smell them, just because there was no way they could have gotten 4ft away and the smell couldn't have been detected. As I kept walking I found what I needed, checked out, and went back to retrieve my bag. The door greeter who he had told me would make sure my bag was safe, was not there, and the officer sat on the side playing on his phone. Luckily my bag had not been stolen. I write this review because for one, there are no signs saying that I cannot bring a bag into the store. Two, why was he more concerned of a me stealing something, than the teens who reeked of weed? Next time I decide I want to carry my bag in the store because I have a right to, and an officer tells me I cannot do that, I will smile and say, "Tell me where the sign is that says, 'NO BAGS ALLOWED'." Because last time I checked, my bag has the same amount of space, as these big "purses" that I see women carrying. And not only that, will he also tell a mother that they can't have a diaper bag? This Walmart is one of the worst walmart's to spend your money especially in the automotive department. The employees in automotive are lazy, rude, unprofessional and should clean the bathrooms and not deal with customers. I needed a battery for my car, spoke with one of the rudest employees I have ever had to talk to. Just walking up to the counter, he's looking at me like I did something to him. NOt my fault that you work at Walmart, somebody else would love to have your job. This dude was so rude that we reported him to the store manager and once I got my car back he took the belt off my car which had nothing to do with him replacing the battery. So once I go the car back the air is not working and the battery light is still on....cause this sorry joker took the belt off the car cause we reported him to the store manager. So I decided to write the CEO, COO, CFO and the store manager and I will NEVER use Walmart automotive and you better not either and especially don't ask questions!!!! All I can say is GOD don't like ugly, when you do wrong it will come back on you but extra hard!!! read more
