Went for 4 new tires and go it all done in 45 mins. Only problem was that when I got my car the low tire pressure light was on. Online pickup is the worst. The employees don't even greet you just put it in the trunk and slam it shut. Then after they forget part of your order they don't answer the phones when you call over and over. I could hear the phone ringing and they were all just standing around. Then they have the audacity to be mad at you the customer for asking for their already paid for item. Rude and lazy employees and the "manager " is just as useless. This review is for the woman with the gold tooth at the exit, who claims to be checking receipts, yet she really is just checking bags. Yep, that's right...bags. She thinks she's the bag monitor for the entire store. Every time I have been to this Walmart location (which is about maybe 3 times per year) I am stopped by this rude woman with a gold tooth at the exit. Every other Walmart I've been to (across the United States) has had someone at the exit who usually just checks that you have a receipt and lets you go on your way. Not this lady! She will stop you and look in your cart or look at what you've purchased and if something doesn't have a bag, she questions you. I've never dealt with this at any other Walmart store! She seems to be picking on certain shoppers. For example, she always stops me, yet she lets other people walk right out of the store with cart loads full without stopping or questioning them! On one of my last visits to this store, she stopped me (of course) and told me to make sure everything has a bag and if it's a larger item, to make sure to put a bag on it and she won't stop you. Well, this was a big fat lie! Just this morning, I had another run in with her! I was leaving town and wanted to pick up a few items before heading out. I had a cart and purchased a hand full of items at the self checkout. One of the items was large (could not physically fit into a bag). So I put a bag over the top of it and everything else in the cart was in a bag. I go to leave the self checkout and the bag began to fly off of the large item, so I put my hand on the bag, to prevent it from blowing off the item and littering with this stupid plastic bag. I try to exit the store and she stops me again! This is just becoming unbelievable at this point. She stopped me because of the large item. I told her that last time she told me just to put a bag on it and she wouldn't stop me. She then had to think of something else to come up with, so she then claimed it was because my hand was on the item with the bag. Seriously????? Did this woman even hear or comprehend what she just said?! So if your hand is on the bag, you will be stopped?! So if I buy 2 bags of items from this Walmart, and I carry out the bags, will my hand not be on the bag in some fashion???? What a lame excuse to come up with. I told her this is why I do not shop here; because of stuff like this. I'm standing there with a cart less than $100 worth while holding a $1,000 luxury brand wallet, and she's stopping me to check if I stole something??? She then claimed the reason she checks the bags is to check the person at the self checkout; to make sure they are doing their job. She then tried to tell me that nobody steals....what planet is this lady living on? There are plenty of thefts from Walmart; I've seen it with my own eyes. I tried to hand her over my receipt for the items I just purchased less than a minute prior and she didn't even check the receipt! She just looked to see if everything had a bag! OMG, ridiculous! So here it is, 12 hours later and I'm now 408 miles away from this Walmart and I'm still annoyed with the whole experience! I even looked up Walmart policies and apparently they aren't even supposed to stop you if you pay in cash, which I clearly did! Go ahead and check the security cameras, Walmart! Better yet, why don't you train this lady on what to be looking out for....when you see a mob of people rush a store wearing hoodies, masks, and running through the store with sledgehammers, those are the people to be looking out for! I said no so he said you have to wait 2 to 3 hours to get the tire repaired. Seems like they are sending business away. He wants to get paid by the hour, but actually don't wanna do the job, that's how business close down from incompetent workers. I was in the Phoenix area looking for the extremely elusive Cherry Vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and discovered Angelo's Italian Ice + Gelato in a Walmart. I love trying unique frozen treats so I picked up an Italian Ice and a gelato container. Creamy, silky smooth, sweet vanilla flavor. Less butterfat than premium ice cream like Hagaan Daz. I like the smoother texture. Angelo's Vanilla Bean Gelato is very tasty. Angelo's Italian Ices Citrus Rainbow flavor has a mix of lemon, lime, and orange flavors. I love the flavor mix. Texture is icy. Feels like eating a popsicle. Normally I buy Blue Bell Ice Cream when I visit Arizona but Angelo's makes some good treats. read more

Avoid the Tire Lube Express, at all costs. I purchased 5 tires from this location. The first I purchased around Sept of 2018 to replace a blowout, one was purchased 2 months after that, and the other 2 were purchased roughly 3 months later. Maybe 3 months after the last purchase, I had a slow leak in one of the tires, and the service associate told me the tire was too damaged to be fixed - which I heavily doubted at the time, but I needed my car, and Fix-a-Flat wasn't cutting it. So, I just purchased a new tire (note: this is all 100% from memory, but I'd put those figures somewhere between 90%-100% accurate). So now, 6 months later, I return because I have another slow leak in the 2 newest tires (I'm assuming East Mesa is just covered in loose nails in the road). The service manager tells me my tires that have maybe 5k and 10k miles on them ARE BALD, and he refused to fix them...says he will only do a replacement. The tire with the most wear has a warranty on it, bc I thought I learned my lesson from the last time. The joke is on me. I bought the cheapest tires to hold me over until I was ready to drop $600+ on good tires...but I won't be spending a dime of that money at Walmart. When I told him how long I had the tires and how many miles were on them roughly, the service manager told me I was a liar, and suggested I was an idiot, as well. He said there was no way any of the tires were barely more than a year old. I told him to look up my VIN or phone, and to see my purchase dates...but he refused. So I told him not to do anything to my car, to leave it the way he found it, and I hung up on him. I was at home bc I my girlfriend went to get the patch done while she went shopping. I told her to just get the car and I'll take it somewhere else. When she went to get the car, he had my purchase history and was trying to prorate the cost of the tires based on when they were purchased...nevermind that there is a warranty on one of the tires (oddly, the one with the most tread wear, sitting on a rear wheel of a FWD car - that is due to be rotated for the first time since the tire was replaced). I told her to just come home, and I'll make Fix-a-Flat work for a few more days, so I can just go to Discount Tire after New Year's. I won't be back to buy tires from Walmart...ever. I won't even be back for oil changes, batteries, or anything else automotive...not even wiper blades. I worked retail for 5 years in a big box store, and 12 years total, doing everything from stocking, to sales, in-home, in-vehicle, and even management. I've always been very fair and understanding with the people at Walmart bc I know their job is hard, and they're paid much less than they deserve. I have never had a single gripe about another part of the store...but it seems like I always have the absolute worst experiences in the auto department. For me to actually decide I never want to shop somewhere again (let alone to actually write a Yelp review), the situation must be pretty dire. I am constantly treated rudely, and the service is less than adequate. The wait times to be checked in or checked out are outrageous. Once, I came to purchase a battery, and after the girl told me there was a book on the wall to match my battery, she just walked away - as if we hadn't even initiated a conversation, and I wasn't even a human being. Nevermind the $80 tires (before fees and warranties) that apparently can't even handle 5k miles. I won't fault them for that. But I will fault them for mishandling a situation, and for their frequent rude behavior. I'll be back for groceries, but that's it. I doubt anyone from Walmart will even read this review so much as they'll laugh about how much I lied to make myself look better. 1606 S. Signal Butte Mesa We have been customers of this store since it open. The store has been more than satisfactory; until the past 6-10 months. It appears that their main priority (more than usual) is to save money not serve their customers. They started to put various items on the shelves in full boxes. You can't see the items in the boxes unless they are on the lower shelves. More and more various items are not marked/stocked. From shelf items to fruits and vegetables they were unmarked/miss marked items. Shelves aren't stocked. I went in last week and was going to use the disinfectant and there wasn't any. I was going to use the blue handbasket but there was none, which was no big deal. I went back out and got a shopping cart; there were no more than 5 or 10 carts available (at the grocery entrance). I came back and asked for something to wipe my hands and the cart with. The greeter said that she did not have anything. She said people have been pulling out multiple wipes and she wasn't going to replace them. I asked why she couldn't refill the wipes? She said the daily amount had been used. I said it must have been a busy day as it was only 2:30 PM. I went in this evening (6 PM) at the grocery entrance and there weren't ANY carts so, I went in (still no disinfectants) but there were TWO blue baskets. Shelves were still only partially stocked. When it came time to check out, as usual, there were only TWO manned checkouts again as usual. The floors were dirtier than normal. All in all a very poorly managed store. read more

We recently purchased a car and planned to sell my Scion TC. It's old, over 200k miles, but thought I should get the oil changed before we sold it as the nice thing to do. I took it to Walmart auto care on signal butte/60. After waiting 1.5 hours, I drove away with a car that was lurching down the road and the check engine light came on. Got home and called them and they had me bring it back. Long story short it was a code for the spark plugs. I was told that had nothing to do with the oil change, they weren't allowed to touch spark plugs and the only way they would pay for it was if their insurance adjusters deemed it was caused by the oil change. No apology, not even a blameless apology. Just, "it's not our fault but if you really want to make it a thing, we'll give you what you need to file a claim." Same day I had the issue, I called the line for Walmart claims, spoke to a very nice lady that told me I could get it diagnosed with my mechanic and that someone would contact me in 24-48 hours. Took the car that day to the mechanic (June 26) and they had it diagnosed the next morning and found oil in the compartment with the spark plugs. That was the last reasonable interaction with Walmart claims that I had until the issue was finally resolved. After I hadn't heard from anyone after the time frame I was given I called and left a message a couple days in a row. I didn't want to leave it over the weekend so I opted to stay on hold the 3rd day to speak with someone and I was on hold for 3 hours before realizing at some point the offices had closed while I was on hold. I then called on Monday and was on hold another 3 hours before I left a message saying the customer service was unacceptable. Someone did call me back that day and resent and email that had been sent mid the prior week (only listed with the adjusters name that I didn't know and claim number that I didn't know and wasn't labeled Walmart and went to my spam). I immediately replied with the diagnostic link I was given and asked them to reply if they needed me to get a PDF sent instead. It was like crickets. Between the emails, phone calls and messages I could not get a response from anyone for 9 more days. I finally had someone pick up when I called, who was not licensed in Arizona and said she would make a note and have someone call me back. I told her that was unacceptable because of the run around I'd been getting and I didn't trust they'd get back to me. She said she was going to create and urgent task for my adjuster's supervisor. There was really nothing else I could do, so I just let it be. At this point we were going out of town camping and I couldn't follow up, but in the days we were gone, I never had any email contact or phone calls. They day after we returned, I sent multiple emails and after no response in the morning, I called in the afternoon and waited on hold. My anger diffused when a person finally answered and it was the same woman who was very helpful the first day I called. She looked at my claim and told me she would stay on the phone with me while I sent the diagnostic and invoice to her email even though she was not my adjuster. She received it, looked at it, confirmed it was the repair cost and said they would have a check in the mail the next day. 22 days to get it resolved. But unsuccessful attempts to contact them almost every day for the whole time. I will never use Walmart auto again and honestly I have such a bad taste in my mouth for Walmarts customer service that I have been avoiding going there at all. I get mistakes happen. But when they do, just own up. read more

I absolutely hate this Walmart. In the last few months I have moved to the area and now this Walmart has become my neighborhood walmart. Since my first trip here until today has been THE absolute worst experience I have ever experienced and customer service ever. The lack of respect, the lack of patience, the ignorance of profiling me every time I come in this damn store. I'm sick of the worker standing right next to my register every time I come in this place. My story is a nightmare with a battery that I proved to them could not not hold a charge, and was leaking profusely from a cell. The manager and assistant mgr. of the auto service dept. spent 30 minutes trying to convince me that if a battery can take a charge it is a GOOD BATTERY!! It couldn't hold the charge, and when I mentioned "cranking amps" neither employee new what I was talking about. Then, I bought a new, AGM battery with a four year warranty but using special AGM charger I purchased elsewhere - the new battery - purchased yesterday - will not come up to charge. The joke is on me for being both civil and polite. Am going back today to retrieve my battery I left as a "core exchange" since both dummies told me it is A-OK! I'm out $162 for a battery thatmay have been re-dated after sitting on the shelf or not properly charged...ever PLUS I gave them a perfectly good operating battery - at lease, according to their experts. My son, an attorney, suggests I return to the store, see a store manager, and refuse to leave until they resolve the matter - even if they have to call the police. read more

This is a review of the grocery pick-up only. My order wasn't complete when I arrived to pick it up. I told the person who brought it out the order wasn't complete. She looked through her list and went back into the store for 1 item. When I got home and checked the emailed list, 5 items had been left off. I called the store. I called the store again. I called the store a third time and the manager went and found my items in the stock room. Just didn't bring them out the first time. I should note they DID charge me for the items. Well, come on back!, said the manager. Only 60 miles round trip, no problem. Uh, yes that is a problem. I'll let you know if I ever get my money back. So the manager Jeremy did reach out and make good on my missing items the next day. A personal thank you to him. Went here before work at 6:00am on a Thursday. First, there was a rotten smell in the back corner of the store near the dairy section. It smelled like spoiled cheese or rotten meat. It was so bad you could smell it at the other end of the aisles. Next, when I went to check out I realized they didn't have a single line open. NOT ONE! Only self checkout. I had a lot of items and some gift cards and really wanted to go through a normal checkout. C'mon Wal-Mart! I went there today and parked by the garden center because I have trouble walking. The garden door was locked. There were no signs that said another door was open until you got right up onto the garden door so I went to the next door. That door was also locked. So I went to the 3rd door! I'm walking in on the right hand side where normal people walk to and keep away from the crowd congregating at the other side. This woman shouts- ma"am ma'am you can't do that,you have to go back over to this line. I was already a few steps from the inside of the store but I went around and admittedlygrumbled . That added a lot more steps to my already hurting leg and ankle. I ask the woman that made me go around if there was a manager available and she said I had to walk clear down the other side of the story to the customer service and ask. I decided that standing there would just make me hurt worse. I got my one item that I needed and checked Out at the self service. I was much calmer, though hurting stilll, because of that wonderful employee watching the self service registers. They said thank you and be safe. I then went out the door on the left side which I guess is what people that work at Walmart use, and walked toward my car. There was actually someone standing at the 2nd door now and I asked him kindly to please let his manager know that there are not signs that you can see when you drive into the parking lot. This person started arguing with me and in a mocking tone said there's a sign right there can't you read. I calmly said there isn't a sign that is visible from pulling in off the street. He began again to tell me, this time mocking and with a satisfied grin, and that there were signs posted. . I got upset and told him very sternly, from across the sidewalk that I am not asking him to argue with me, I am asking him to pass a message on to his manager. I then walked the rest of the way to my car. At least the Adrenalin from interacting with people that should not be allowed be in general society, my ankle and leg didn't hurt quite as bad. It really doesn't matter which Walmart-- I bought a Protection Plan for a vacuum I bought. 3 1/2 months later the vacuum broke (yes that's a separate review) I called to get the claim started and was told to go through the manufacturer. I did but because I didn't Buy the vacuum thru them all they could do was send me a replacement part. The hose that broke was not something I could have replaced myself so sending the part would have been useless. The Walmart Protection Plan would not help me either. So word of advice -- Don't spend the $$ it's a joke! Oh and because it was just past their 90 return policy customer service wouldn't help at all!!! Typical read more
