As far as Walmart's go, this one isn't anything out of the ordinary. They have the standard stuff all Walmart's have, including the stupidly long lines that takes forever to get through. If it were possible to assign this Walmart negative stars, I would. We came through from Los Angeles in our Class A motorcoach and arrived at approximately 6:00am. The security guard *immediately* accosted us and demanded that we leave, even though the store opened at 7am. We explained that we were there to stock up on supplies and he referred us to the policeman parked in front of the store, who told us we were fine. After the store opened, we spent more than $125 on groceries and then returned to the coach to rest and then eat lunch a few hours later; our plans being to head out in the mid-afternoon. Before we could do that, however, security was once again pounding on our door. He informed us that we needed to go, but refused to give any reason why. Bear in mind, this was not the same security guard from the morning; so clearly, this kind of treatment of traveling RV'ers was institutionalized at this location. What was especially ironic is that we were in the very back of the lot--which was being used as an informal "park-and-ride" by the locals, who parked their cars there and then walked off the grounds to the nearest bus stop. Thoroughly disgusted by the rudeness, we began to prepare the coach to move...when there was another knock on the door less than 10 minutes later. This time, the security guard informed us that manager was "...going to call the police." We told him that preparing to move a coach the size of ours takes a few minutes, but that we would be leaving momentarily. All-in-all, this was the worst experience we've *ever* had at a Walmart, in any state, anywhere. We will be following up this review with a detailed letter to Walmart's Bentonville headquarters. Although we really don't expect any kind of response, we still feel it should be done. Perhaps it will help others down the road. As for this location, if you're an RV'er, it doesn't matter if your coach is a $1 million Prevost or a Class B, they *will* harass and threaten you, no matter what the hour. Given how much most traveling RV'ers spend on an average visit to Walmart, they should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Soooo i bought a smile direct club kit at here and when i got home and it was empty. I went back to walmart and went to customer service and explained to them that i bought it and it had nothing in it and the employee proceeded to tell the manager and the manager said there was literally nothing he can do. That i can't exchange it, get a refund, nothing... they said I'd i have to call the smile direct club and tell them to refund me. I told them to check the camaras and they said it wouldn't matter because "it doesn't prove that i bought like that"........so i called smile direct club and they said that Walmart HAS to refund my item and that it was there policy with them as their vendor. So i put in a complaint with smile direct club on Walmart. The operator literally told me that the manager clearly doesn't know the returning and refunding policies. read more

EVERY SINGLE TIME I come here (over 10 times) there are only 5 lanes open out of the 26 and the lines are backed up through the clothing section. this is a major inconvenience to everyone especially people who have top wait 35 minutes just to make a 30 second transaction. This is by far, the worst managed Walmart in South Florida. You will never see a manager on the floor (or at least someone who looks like they are in charge). The customer experience is awful. Purchasing 2 items may cost you 90 minutes of your day. There's a complete disregard for the customer experience at this location. I'd rather pay more at a near by competitor than shop here. Clearly more registered should've been opened, especially when witnessing employees roaming the store with no urgency or sense of purpose. Once you've seen one Walmart, you've seen them all. I was curious to see the new Wal-Mart that everyone was speaking about, so I decided to come see it for myself, instead of going to the one on 8th street. The slow lines, the women in rollers, shower caps and pajamas, the men tattooed all the way to their cheeks with gang symbols and grills in their mouths, the gawking pervert smiling at you and stalking you...all of these can be found here, as in any Wal-Mart location, so don't fret. As others mentioned, the lines are sloooooooooow. Even when many people lost their patience and left their carts to walk out of the store, the lines still moved slowly. At least the Wal-Mart in Homestead has self-checkout, which helps the lines move smoothly. I do not recall being stuck in line for 30 minutes the way I was here. I purchased a rotisserie chicken today, fresh out of the oven, but it had a smoky flavor, as if it had burnt, or had shared the oven with a burning chicken and had absorbed the flavor. I have purchased rotisserie chicken before from the 163rd location and it never had this flavor. It was juicy with a lemon pepper seasoning. I was looking forward to tasting that, not burnt chicken. What a disappointing experience, overall. Don't think I will be back. read more

I am going to 3 star this Walmart superstore location only because my visit was extremely brief. However, I must make it known that the young man who works in the fabric department, his name is Jamal, is absolutely one of the nicest and most courteous employees I have ever come across at any Walmart at any location ever!! Next clamation point he went out of his way to assist me with measuring fabric checking prices making labels, as he was not given the appropriate equipment to work with today, and through it all the not for 1 second lose his smile!!! I've never been to this Walmart before and it's so close to the flea market which is another spot to find whatever you need. You've seen one Walmart you've seen them all right or no, this one is like the other lots of people and long lines. Not a 24hr Walmart, and just like all the other lots of parking and Subway inside. This Walmart is usually such a trash experience that 99.9% of the time I need to come to Walmart I have my husband take me to ANY store other than this location. They are usually always out of most of the stuff I need and just have a small selection in general. If you like myself like options, this is NOT your place. The staff is RUDE I had left my credit card by mistake at customer service once and got home realized it. Called they said they had nothing, went in still said they had nothing, as soon as I told them to check the cameras they open the drawer next to them and hand me my card who's got time for that. Idiots! My final straw with this place (although I have many) was attempting to use the "Walmart pick up order" during this COVID 19 pandemic. I'm trying to prevent exposure of the disease to my kids. Little did I know that this special Walmart works NOTHING like any other Walmart I've been too across the country when it comes to store pick up. Rather than bring the order to your car like Walmart spent tons of its money setting up drive up stations in hopes of running more efficiently and keeping shoppers to venders that have been doing this for awhile now, they have you come inside so you can wait longer why they look around for your stuff that should be ready and brought out to you. This store has the laziest sales associates I've ever seen. I now place my orders with amazon prime, they have it packaged and delivered on my doorstep in less time and more importantly frustration than Walmart. I am only giving this location one star because the option does not exist to give it zero stars. I came in after having checked on the website for the article I'm looking for and the article appeared on the website as being in stock. I go into the store, check the app for the location, and nothing. I asked three different people for assistance and again nothing. I walk up to the front to customer service, spoke to an assistant manager and yet again nothing. Amongst the four different people I asked for assistance, not a single one was apparently capable of picking up a Phone or a walkie-talkie. I am done with this location! read more

I have to say I've been experiencing something really funny at this store. Every time I've been there I come home with several things missing. If you want to find the worst customer service or help look no further! In this Walmart you will have to jump through hoops just to get any of the employees attention or even assist you with anything. I was looking for a particular diaper rash cream and the people I asked didn't even bother to help me look or even check on their phone to see if the item was available in their store. I needed to go to Walmart today for some things that would've just been too expensive at Publix and this happened to be the nearest one to me! I ain't gonna lie... The area was a little off-putting driving through. Very empty and the 'Miami Flea Market' gave me the heebie-jeebies. However, once I turned into the parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised. The Walmart looked almost new in a way. While the parking lot is huge, I did have some trouble finding parking, so I just parked all the way at the end, since you know America doesn't like walking so there was plenty of parking back there. Also, to my surprise, there weren't tons of shopping carts on the road/blocking spots. Most of them were pushed up on the sidewalk or in the cart holders, so that was a plus, as I'm used to them being everywhere!!!! Walking in I was also pleasantly surprised. There fruit and veggie section is more extensive than I'm used to, so it was definitely a plus going through and finding what I needed and then some. I will add that all of their sweet potatoes were gross, moldy and many had tons of holes in them. I walked through most of their aisles, despite having a specific grocery list (I get it from my Mama). Thankfully, while there was a decent amount of people in the store, it didn't get to the point where I couldn't walk down any aisles, etc., like it did in the Walmart in Doral. Also, people here had manners, saying "Excuse me" and "Please/Thank you/You're welcome". Everything was pretty organized and neat. There weren't many employees on the floor, but it was still clean and organized, so I'm not complaining. I had an almost perfect experience, except for when I got to the checkout lane. The lines were not long at all, and I chose one where the man was already paying, so I assumed he would be out in a jiffy! Boy, was I wrong. This is no fault of the cashier but just my bad luck. The guy ended up taking about 15-20 minutes ringing up maybe 15 items because he wanted to do several different transactions. I felt so bad for the cashier. She was doing her job without an attitude, helping the man, and keeping her cool. I really appreciated that and her apology after he left (which I didn't need since it was not her fault). She handled it the best she could, and if it wasn't for me putting half of my things on the conveyor belt, I would've moved to another lane. She priced and bagged my things SO quickly. I was out within a couple of minutes. She saw me double-bagging some of my things and even told me that I should've let her know because she would've done it for me, which I appreciated since no-one has EVER mentioned that. There was really nothing wrong at all with this Walmart. I thought I was going to have a bad experience, but the people were cool, the selection was good, the store was clean, and the service was fast (considering). This particular Walmart Super Center is literally 8 minutes away from my residence. If you live near LeJeune Road and Okeechobee (Famous Hialeah Fountain) then you're in luck! This new Walmart is now your to-go Walmart (not the one near the Palmetto 826). There's actually a supermarket within this Walmart Supercenter. This Walmart is open late till about 11PM (unfortunately it's not a 24 Hour Walmart). This Walmart has a huge parking lot. Plenty of parking spaces available in all areas of this parking lot. There's a Subway located on the inside of you want to grab a sub before, during, or after shopping. The Walmart is huge and has everything you need. I was in need of a thermostat the other night. I had a broken thermostat (A/C wouldn't turn on because of the broken thermostat). This Walmart resolved the issue. I bought a Honeywell for about 24 bucks. It was programmable and had a backlight in order to see what's happening on the screen at night. Very pleased with this new location. Will be visiting again sometime in the near future. read more

I was going to return some items and after waiting almost 30 minutes in line for my turn, they refused to return my items because I didn't have my receipt. Walmart policy is to return all items with and without receipt. You just get store credit. I was asking store credit. I don't recommend this Walmart the staff was rude and very unprofessional.
