It's obvious the inmates are running the asylum here. The day before Christmas Eve, at 9:30 pm, I was in the electronics department. I wanted to buy two video games. Found an employee and asked for the case to be open. All I got was "electronics is closed". Funny, no signage stating the electronics department has different hours than the store. So, I asked for a manager. The disrespectful and LAZY employee just walked away. Found a group of four other LAZY employees and straight out asked for one of them to page a manager. I was told, the electronics department closes at 9. I stated I didn't ask if the department was closed, I asked for a manager. All four LAZY teenage employees walked away! Finally, an employee showed up behind the electronics desk. By this time it was 9:55. She stated the electronics department closes at 10 and that she would open the case for me. Went up to the front of the store where no registers were open. Explained to what seemed like the only employee working that I wanted to talk to a manager and was told he was it. Explained the situation to him. He said he wouldn't have the key to anything in electronics. Wasn't very helpful at all. Managed to get the district manager's name. Will be filing a complaint. Horrible service, teenagers that could give two craps about their jobs, walking around in groups, looking at their phones, and being straight up LAZY! Ridiculous! Walmart won't see another effing dime from me due to the horseshit attitudes of their employees! I will never shop in that pit again! read more

Customer service is what every customer wants but never gets. I flew throught the store and got to the register only to realize that I forgot my wallet in the car. Let's just say I'd rather pay quadruple the regular price of things at a high-end grocer than attempt to ad-match at this Walmart. I've had nothing but problems here, and when I use the rules and guidelines listed on WALMART'S WEBSITE to rightfully ad-match, I get nothing but attitude from the employees. I have never had a problem with anyone in the store. Very polite and helpful sales associates. However I cannot stand the parking lot. My car has been hit by a cart 6 times in the last 3 months due to lazy people that do not know how to take 2 seconds of their time to put the carts back in the corral. OMG!!! Filthy place. Customer Service is horrible. I was waiting in line to check out & the cashier kept scratching her head because her weave was itchy. She would scratch her head, & handle food. When it was my turn to check out I asked her to wash her hands. She gave me a dirty look & said "o ok" I told her it was unsanitary to scratch her head & than touch food. She said nothing & than scratched her face, & picked her ear. I took everything off the conveyor & went to another cashier. The lady behind me in line yelled at the girl & followed me to the other cashier. While waiting I asked for the store Manager & I was told their was not a store Manager only the Customer Service Manager. I explained my story to her & she apologized but at no time did she speak to the Cashier. I was in line when other customers started complaining how dirty the store is & they only come in as a last resort. As I am leaving I approach the Customer Service Manager again & asked her to just watch how the employee is violating a health code. Sure enough she scratched her head but this time scratched her nose & grabbed a package of lunch meat. She acknowledged that she will talk to her, but this time I asked for the Store Manager to call me. It has been 4 weeks no phone call, but I call & the Manager is never in. Hmmm could it be he just is avoiding me because he's tired of dealing with complaints. Maybe if the store was managed properly there would be no need to avoid phone calls. This rating is in comparison to other Walmart stores. The stocking is poor. Every time I shop there something I came for is not on the shelf and variety is not the same as other Walmart stores. Over the last several months the selection seems to be getting worse not better. Trending down. I went to the store to get propane and exchange the tank. You cannot bring the propane through the store so I went in and asked for someone to meet me at the propane rack outside, The indicated they would be there in a couple of minutes. After waiting outside for 20 minutes, I returned my empty tank to my car and went in to find the help. It turns out they went to lunch and just blew me off. My one experience in customer service was the worst I ever had. The line grew to over 25 people and when it blocked the entrance they finally put another person behind the counter. How can they possibly not even know about their own well-publicized sale? It is April 4, 2016, 2:30 p.m. four days into Wal-Mart's well-publicized smartphone sale, including $100 off any iPhone such as the 6, 6s, and the new SE. I walk in and there is a special small Wal-Mart Wireless store inside that sells smartphones. I enter and talk to two different employees, the only two in that wireless store. Neither has ever heard about the sale. They tell me that I must be thinking of some online sale if it really exists, even though the ads were very clear that you can only get the discount in a Wal-Mart store. My immediate thought is how many people paid full freight in the last three days for smartphones with these supposed expert employees never even mentioning that there was a sale. After I showed them one of the ads on my current phone one of them finally looked up whether there was a sale and eventually found it. I then asked if they had or were getting the new iPhone SE because that is the one I will likely purchase. The head employee in the room tells me the store does not have and is not getting it because "no one is trained on it." Duh! It is a new phone so they should be training on it now; moreover, other than size. it is essentially the 6s. The employee says I should go try some other Wal-Mart store. I left. I love this Walmart. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The restrooms are clean and they have pretty much everything that I need. I have used their Walmart pay and Savings Catcher which has saved me a ton of money . I have shopped at Meijer , Jewel and Target and I keep going to Walmart because their price is so much lower. Not the best Walmart by far. They are frequently out of simple items like bagels or yogurt. Every time I go there, there are 2 or 3 items on my list that they are out of. doesn't matter if it's a weekday or a weekend, they are always out of stock on very common items, like grape kook aid. I would recommend the Walmart in orland Park or The Jewel in Frankfortm if you can't afford an out of stock item. read more

I came in the other day to buy some stuff to take back to my boyfriend's house for dinner and to purchase beer. Now what I saw was rather bothersome. First they seem to have a problem keeping specific items stocked like I wanted to purchase lemons and they had none and didnt seem like someone would go to the back to see if they had anymore in stock. Second I was looking to purchase beer they barely had any beer in the cooler and I was lucky they had my boyfriend's brand so I grabbed the last two cases they had. Third when I checked out and was about to approach the front door this old white guy was letting two hispanic women walk by without so much as asking them to see their receipt, but stopped me to see mine. I am amazed that this Wal Mart employs a lot of young high school or college freshman aged adults and senior retirees. Some of the seniors who work there need to just go enjoy their retirement because for them to keep working just brings the efficiency level down a few notches in terms of slow service. Staff wasnt rude to me because I generally don't ask them for anything unless it's to find out if an item they have is in stock. It's bad enough that the Wal Mart near my house employs ghetto hoodrats to work there with their lack of customer service a**es. I came because as many who live in Chicago know the bag and sugar taxes are all out ridiculous. Will is the closest county to me and if I was up north it would have been Lake County. It's an OK store the only props they get is for cleanliness since most of the Wal Marts I've gone to are not the cleanest around. read more

I cannot begin to understand WHY I go back here except out of pure stupidity or absolute convenience. They were very good with customer service in the beginning but now it seems like they care about their pocketbook. I have stood in line for 20 minutes waiting. Today I left my food because there was not a manager around to help the poor new lady that was trying to ring up a very frustrated customer. I ran into the mabnager, DAN on his way out and asked if he could help me. WORST pharmacy ever. If I could give them minus a star, I would. Almost every time I have a new Rx filled, there is some sort of break down in communication between doctors offices and the pharmacy staff. I find myself doing the job of tracking down/keeping orders straight FOR the pharmacy staff. Every time I have questioned them or expressed concern, it is always the same thing....they pass the blame. No one, not even the manager (Laura) wants to take responsiblity for the errors. I picked up a REFILL (not even a new script, a refill), the dr wrote on the instructions that the same generic must be filled every time. I got the medicine home - wrong generic. I caught the mistake! My doctor faxes in a new prescription for me, I call to follow up (because apparentyl that is what you have to do for the new lenox walmart pharmacy team), they never got it. Yet, my drs office will recieve a notice if a fax does not go through. So, 3 days later the dr is back in the office & now has to call the Rx in. To speak to someone there to insure the prescription is filled. I could go on & on, and list every horrible, unprofessional experience that I have had with this pharmacy & their staff. But, I think I made my point. Avoid the hassle & risk of someone filling your Rx wrong, or not at all....and go to Walgreens!! I agree with most of the other reviews, too. Horrible lay out in the store, out of stock items all the time, many employees need to be re-trained. read more

Our neighborhood waited for a Walmart and we were so excited when we saw they were building one in New Lenox. Yikes..............the staff here are so rude and they never have enough help. Do not try to purchase liquor from this facility as all of their cashiers are under 21 and you will wait 20-30 mins for a person of age to ring you up and then the manager that comes to ring it up acts like she is doing you the biggest favor............customers always unhappy when shopping here...its a real shame for such a nice newer store........do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere..... read more

Manager on evenings, Deshun or Desahaun, is horrible at his job, along with customer service manager or team leader/Anastasia, I go out of my way to clip coupons to save money, and these people just make it impossible for smart people who just want to save a buck. The cashier who was cashing me out Grace H. was unknowledable about their own coupon policy which turned it into a circus fiasco at the register for me. These people had no empathy, customer service or managerial skills when it comes to dealing with customers. They let they're frustrations get the best of them. I've since been shopping at other stores where employees are aware of their store's policy. This is also the second time I've had an issue over coupons at this store. read more

Very poor customer service ! First of all I called earlier today and asked customer service if they found my fiancés ID, they said no. Second of all I go to return or receive store credit for a radio I bought two days ago & they incriminated me and my fiancé as if we were trying to get over ! And lastly as they rummaged the store for the same radio, one of them returned with my ID they said they DIDN'T HAVE 30 minutes PRIOR! One short round one rudely commented and said that the radio looks old and that they don't make those kind anymore. And although one of the sales clerks admittedly said to management that she completed the transaction and DID NOT give us a receipt they STILL proceeded to ask questions like what register did you go to ? What time was it ?? EVERYONE was SO RUDE AND DISGUSTING I will NEVER patron at New Lenox Walmart again! I love this store's wireless department!! David, the guy who helped me was super helpful! I ended up getting an iPhone and David was willing to show me how it worked, and was extremely patient with me. He even contacted sprint when I was having trouble with having my old number crossing over. He stayed on top of it, until it was taken care of. He went out of his way for the customer, which is rare these days. I will go back to this store for all of my cell phone needs. read more

If you are purchasing food items, you may want to rethink doing it at this store. The produce is nasty! It may look okay on the outside, but once you cut into it, you will find it's not okay...moldy, or mushy, or rotted, etc. Ice Cream - I'm pretty sure they let it melt and refreeze it based on the look & taste of it. Just check the packaging and wonder "why are all the containers sticky with melted ice cream?" And as far as packaged food, CHECK THE DATES! From past experience, I know to do this. I avoid buying food items here but figured, heck, Easter-basket fillers should be safe. HA! On March 28th, I found a variety of "sell by" dates on Pepperidge Farms cookies - March 7th, February 4th, DECEMBER 12, 2012! After locating the "store manager" and pointing it out they had out-dated food on the shelves, she said "I'll take care of it" and when I questioned their proceudures for checking for old food she said "we check the shelves EVERY NIGHT at 2AM" Hmmm, and yet there were numerous out-dated items, gonig back over 3 months, that are still on the shelves! Maybe they should check their stock with workers who are AWAKE when doing the checking. read more

Went in there yesterday to purchase some toys when checking out I was paying with my card the system wasn't reading my card but received several alerts on my phone that the transaction went through I told the cashier that I'm getting alerts on my phone saying I was charged for the purchases she brings over the manager Kristan P to explain the situation her reply was I cant let you leave the store with the stuff without paying I told her I never said I wasn't going to pay for the items I simply asked her to see if it's a glitch on her end and showed her the alerts on my phone I get the same reply from her I explained it to her that I don't want anything for free I just want to make sure I'm not getting charged twice she said there is nothing I can do I will call the other manager and see if he can do anything. The other manager TJ comes over I explained to him that I don't want to be charged several times can he check the system his reply I can't let you leave the store without paying. Both "managers" I spoke with said the same thing when that never came out of my mouth I felt like they were treating me like a thief. I finally asked them did I ever say I wasn't paying for the items I simply asked to see if I was charged twice on their end not sure how they get I'm leaving the store without paying from me saying to check if I was charged twice. I am here to pick up an online order and am standing in line at customer service with all the people returning items! .I have now had 3 awful experiences at this store this year and will never return again. The first, I went to the '20 Items or Less' lane and before I put my items on the counter, it was really wet from the person's items before me. I asked the cashier if she had some paper towels to wipe it dry because I didn't know if any of that was sticky. She handed me the roll of paper towels to wipe it myself. WOW!! Then, I ordered something from WM online for Site-to-Store delivery. When I track the item on my account, it shows that the item arrived several weeks ago, yet I had not received a confirmation email from the store that it was there. Several days ago, I received an email telling me that my item was delayed (by the way, I ordered this a week before Black Friday). So, I called the 800 number and after waiting on hold for almost 10 minutes, I finally spoke to someone. She told me that she showed the item to be in, but I told her I have nothing to go into the store with to show them that the item is in stock. She put me on hold for over 20 minutes to call the store, never came back on the line, so I hung up. I called the store directly and was transferred to Customer Service where nobody answered the phone, so I was automatically transferred back to the operator. The operator told me that she then spoke to Customer Service and they told her to just keep sending my call through and that they are busy with returns, but they will answer the phone when they get to it. WOW!!! I did ask for a manager who did help me. Finally, I went to the pharmacy and had to get an over-the-counter med that you had to purchase from behind the pharmacy counter. I walked up to the empty Drop Off window and asked the girl (not the pharmacist) if I needed to wait in the regular pharmacy line to purchase the item, she looked at me with this dead stare and nodded her head yes, but not a word. I walked away and said out loud that she needed to get a personality. I went to stand in line and there was one customer in front of me. The girl and the pharmacist both come to the counter and the pharmacist says, "can I help you" to me and the girl behind the counter says to the customer in front of me, "I'll help you because she doesn't like my personality." WOW, you do not pull another customer into a conversation or argument. I told her she was a "B" and I asked for a manager. The pharmacist told me to go to Customer Service at the front of the store to ask for one. I said that I was not leaving the pharmacy until I spoke to one. They called one and I was very honest with him, even that I called the girl a "B" and he told me, "I'm sorry, she shouldn't have done that, BUT we don't appreciate the vulgarity." This place has no concern for their customers, but I will never go back. I wrote a paper in college on Wal-Mart and just to let you all know, if you knew how they treated their employees, you would know why they treat their customers like crap. I don't think I will ever shop at any Wal-Mart, again. read more

They claim to price match, but whenever Food 4 Less has their .49 Creametts pasta sale, Walmart never has any. Same with other stuff. They probably pull the shelves of these items so they don't have to price match. The cashiers don't seem to like their jobs, and management forces them to push credit cards. read more

The pharmacy manager Laura is the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. I asked her for a recommendation and she said "hold on, let me get someone else to help you" in a very rude way, like I was inconveniencing her. Then the girl came out and I asked her for a recommendation and she informed me she's not allowed to recommend anything and I would have to wait for the pharmacist. So we went back over to the counter and the pharmacist insisted that she had 6 doctors on the phone but she wasn't even on the phone and it wasn't ringing. So I told her never mind, thanks for nothing. She was very rude and condescending towards her staff as well. I'm surprised she has a staff after that day, and all of the others because I'm assuming this is not a one time incident by the way the staff were acting. People like that should not be in charge of any other human. Just so everyone knows, steer clear of the pharmacy when this woman is there. read more

I haven't had any problems with Walmart but the Dunkin donuts inside! They are unprofessional and don't seem to care about the customer. All they do is gossip and get orders wrong. I went in there about two months ago and I ordered a small French vanilla iced coffee with almond milk. I'm lactose intolerant and I can't have regular milk. I get the order and he brings out a medium French vanilla iced coffee. I asked just to double check if he put almond milk and he said yes and he gave me the medium for the small price. So I leave and finish my whole drink. That night I was so sick. I realized that he didn't put almond milk in the drink he put regular milk. I was sick for a whole week couldn't go to work. They should really pay attention what people specifically order. They might have an allergy or something! Then last month I decided to go once more to see if things changed. My mom and I went grocery shopping them stopped by again. I ordered a small peach iced tea with half the sugar and my mom ordered a small iced caramel macchiato. The workers weren't paying attention all they kept doing was talking to their coworkers gossiping about people. They didn't care to look at the customer. My mom said our order three times they still got mixed up and brought us two medium iced peach teas with tons of sweetener. Our order wasn't that hard at all. The third time they gave us our drinks and they put tons of sweetener in my drink when I specifically told them half the sweetener and my mom they gave her her caramel macchiato. It was so sweet to drink she had to take it back. They gave her a new one at it tasted so bitter. Don't recommend this Dunkin donuts at all! read more
