I bought my fiance's engagement ring here in 2019, and had such a great experience that we purchased our wedding bands and just picked them up last weekend! We live about an hour away, but the exceptional service and reasonable price made our trips well worth it. Dirk and Tom are extremely personable, able to discern the taste of the customer and steer them in the right direction. My fiance was considering getting two wedding bands (one curved to wear with her engagement ring as the design juts out a bit, and one straight for when she only wears the band), and Dirk told us they could make the curve so slight that it wouldn't be noticeable on it's own. We really appreciated that instead of seeing it as an opportunity to increase the sale, he gave us a better option that turned out beautiful. That's just one example of why I've recommended this place to my other friends who are just starting the process of ring shopping; I also found this to be much more reasonably priced, with the same quality, than the big box retailers. Custom Ring, Great Experience, Great Price I was looking for a diamond solitaire for a designer engagement ring I was planning on buying (somewhere else). I didn't know much about Heritage, but noticed on their website that they had a lot choices for stones that were reasonable priced, so I decided to check them out. And they had plenty of choices like I had hoped. But while looking at diamonds, Dirk mentioned he could custom make the ring too. I never considered that because I thought custom would be even more expensive than a designer ring. The designer ring was nice, but it wasn't perfect, so to learn I could get exactly what I wanted and save about 40-50% on the band was a great surprise! And working with Dirk to create it was an easy process. He'll also make sure it's done right! They create a CAD drawing, get a mold created, have the ring metal casted, and then put on the finishing touches (polish it, add details, mount the stones, etc). When the first cast of the ring was complete, it didn't turn out exactly the way we wanted. There were two options at this point, try to fix it in his shop and hope it'd work out (and save himself money), or start over and get it redone right. He didn't hesitate to do the latter! He reworked the cad drawing and sent it back out again to be remade. When it got back it was perfect! My fiance loves it and get's tons of compliments on it too! read more

I had felt that a jewelery store that is not a standard chain would be a relief to find in the southwest suburbs for some time. And then Heritage Jewelers, a newer intimate jewelery store opened in Lockport! Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly owners who were clearly knowledgeable about the different products. While some chain jewelers may be found on every mall corner, their staff does not come close to the preparation and knowledge I was greeted with at Heritage. I made a purchase at this location and the craftsmanship was outstanding and prompt. Solid work and very friendly. A little pricey though. I came in to have a pair of earrings made form stones that I previously had. I could have bought nicer earrings from here cheaper. But the earrings turned out nice and the wife loved them. I'll definitely do more research next time I need something custom, but for everything else I will definitely stop here first. I had an excellent experience. Staff was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions on how I could restyle my engagement ring, while keeping my original diamonds. Kept me informed during each step of the process. In my error, I approved a wax version of the new ring, only to realize I wasn't happy with it once it was poured in white gold. There was no sales pitch and was not pressured into anything like you normally are at the big chains. Any question I had was explained thoroughly to me and when asking advice a true answer was given based on my question and not to get the better sale.
