I had to come to the supercenter to purchase a smoked turkey wing and drumstick because they don't carry this at the Encinitas Walmart nor grocery stores. My boyfriend and I were just at Walmart and as we were leaving we were harassed multiple times by the young men out front selling chocolate. We politely said "no thank you" and were followed by the young men to the parking lot asking why we do not want to buy candy from them multiple times. On the go when traffic was backed up I pulled off and decided to grab a few things I needed instead of sitting on the freeway. The store is huge and well organized. There is plenty of parking and is located in a long strip of a wide variety of stores for all your needs. Although, I was on a quick trip in and out Berry was my cashier and was so cheerful and friendly he was a breath of fresh air and great reminder to slow down and how much his smile and small talk changed my mood. I like this Walmart, even though is very busy, they do have all the things you need. Some items are expensive but nothing compared to other grocery stores. The cashiers are fast too and will bag your items correctly. Also, lots of parking, so that's another plus. read more

This store has THE worst customer service ever. We go here every week bc it has lower prices and groceries are expensive these days. We were there this morning, there must have been at least 20 people working and not 1 single person said "good morning" "let me know if I can help you with anything" not even a single smile...everyone there looks absolutely miserable. My local Walmart Can't complain about anything Fair employees who are very chillax and helpful I get the occasional snippy person working here but never anything serious. The place is clean and stocked pretty well. My only complaint would be about their younger employees. They're always super distracted and slow slow slow to respond to costumers. We arrived inside the store tonight at 8:04 pm. Customer service closed at 8. I didn't want to drive all the way back tomorrow, so I asked for a manager. Brian comes over & says there is nothing he can do Alison pulled her cash drawer and she has to be consistent with all guests on the closing time. When my husband and I walked in the store tonight Alison was walking out. So did she close customer service early? There is no way she could have pulled her drawer at 8:00 pm turned it into the cash vault and been outside at 8:03 pm. I was a cashier at Home Depot you have to count the drawer. Even though we had our receipt my husband said we could take store credit because we were just going to spend even more than we were returning. Alison said it was up to Brian. Brian says no and shrugs (like oh well). If it is up to Brian then they probably have accommodated guests in the past. I did ask if they ever made an exception but nobody wanted to answer. My husband asked for the store manager's phone number and Brian pointed and said over there. Alison says "what are you guys trying to return anyway" and proceeds to look through our stuff in the cart. Again, WHY would that matter if no exceptions are made? Walmart just lost a customer tonight. We are going to go back to return the items tomorrow and that will be the last time we step foot in a Walmart. We went to Target right after and guess what.. Returns is open until 10 pm. Another reason to shop at Target over Walmart! Oh and Target has Starbucks. I told the Target employees what happened at Walmart and they said "just come here!" Which is what we will be doing. EVERY employee we encountered was helpful and nice! That is how you should treat customers when you want them to spend their money at your store. read more

They managed to have a delivery 5 minutes away be so late it was cancelled completely by them (mind you the Walmart website says deliveries could be 48 hours late, that's fine, DON'T cancel my order. Anyway I try again the next day and what do you know, hours late again and after trying to call the store multiple times not once did I get a human on the line. My experience at this Walmart location during Thanksgiving Black Friday even was superb. I dared to venture to Walmart right when they opening of all places to get new deals on cell phones and did not encouter any issues at all. Plenty of staff around to direct you to where you need to go. Only 1 entrance and 1 exit which made shopping quite smooth. Security all around so I felt quite safe. Even though people were grabbing Black Friday deals on DVD, toys, and TV, I bravely ventured to my cell phone line which was clearly marked with a purple balloon. Then proceeded with making an appointment for the following day to activate and upgrade my phone. Kevin (the Verizon) representative was super helpful. He recommended the best iphone for me based on my usage and I walked out with a fabulous deal! I would definitely recommend coming to this location and asking for Kevin for your mobile phone needs. He is very patient and knowledgeable in all iPhones and Samsung phones. I was also able to find comfortable blanket throws, foot massager, and new toys for my niece and nephew and knowing that they were super crazy for Frozen 2, I finally found the last soundtrack CD and it was even a good deal! Glad my holiday shopping is over and now I can relax and cozy up with my new blanket throw and relax while my new foot massager do all the work! read more

I dealt with the "manager" Jessica who I had to wait for over 25 minutes to speak to. I was trying to recognize a couple associates who went above and beyond to help me because you don't find that often especially in a WALMART... and she walked past me TWICE! so unprofessional, I asked to speak to another manager and I was told they are on lunch. I was sappose to get my order last night they never showed I had to call and bug them then they didn't give me some stuff I bought or very bad product. This and every local Walmart in north county have terrible phone service. Call them and press 0 for an associate and they pick up after 10 rings and immediately hang up. I scheduled a curbside pickup with this location. The lazy employee that loaded my car, knowingly placed a very leaky gallon of milk in/on my carpeted trunk, without it even being bagged, (even though I approve the bag charge). What's part of my issue here is that the leak was so noticeable you couldn't pick up the milk without an active stream coming leaking from from the gallon, yet the attendant still placed it in my trunk because she likely didn't' want to have to go grab another gallon. I then had to waste about an hour trying to salvage the groceries, my carpet, and other very valuable items I had in my trunk. Then I drove back to walmart, to get the milk I paid for, and give them their leaky gallon back, and make management aware of my situation and the complete disregard this employee had for my personal property. If I could pull the carpet out of my trunk I wouldn't have been so upset, but unfortunately I can't pull my carpet out of my trunk it is attached in the Audi A3 to the tire hatch where your spare tire is stored. So i let management know why this was such an issues, since I now have to pay to have the inside of my car detailed, due to their employees overall lack of consideration, and laziness. After explaining this, management insulted me with offering me a 25 dollar store gift card. How in the word does that solve my problem? So what started with an attempt to make my busy day a little easier, ended up being what I had to spend most of my day handling, and now cost me money for something that they were responsible for. This branch should be looked into by corporate, the curbside has consistently been the worst experiences ever, the employees I encounter through curbside are rude, and lazy, and have NO consideration for your vehicle. I previously got a scratch on the back bumper, but chalked it up to an accident. It obvious now that this is a employee problem here. A franchise of this size should be able to handle a situation like this where damage was caused by their employees, far better than this. read more

I came here about a month ago and noticed the remodel. I was in to buy some batteries for my mini-flashlight and for my car alarm. The lady at the watch counter assisted me and she was really nice. She even recommended me to hit up the electronics to check a multi-pack since it would be cheaper. I did, and I got a better deal. The ladies in the back were really nice also. I was really impressed during this ONE visit. Now today... My coworker accompanied me since I needed to buy a new pot and soil for my overgrown living room palm. The garden center didn't offer much. We were surprised since when we visited another walmart several months ago, they had a variety. When I was ready to check out, there was no one to be found. I had to walk all the way to the front of the store even though I parked on the opposite side by the Garden Center. UGH... Annoying...
