Masks!! They don't stop you if you don't have a mask...I know its a pain in the butt but to be safe we should wear them..I know some people say that it doesn't stop covid and some say its how the government controls you but I'd rather take my chances then know I was the reason a loved 1 got it..some even think it makes them a badass not to wear 1...I was in Walmart last week and this guy was coughing his head off and had no mask..yes it might of been just a cough but why take a chance..people have died from this and again why take the chance...I've been to other stores and they make it mandatory so why can't Walmart read more

It's Walmart ok. The store seems clean and well organized and usually stocked well. I don't feel unsafe going here during the day, haven't been at night so I can't judge that. The only thing I feel that they missed the mark on was when they built it they didn't add an auto center on. My boyfriend and I went to Walmart yesterday the customer service was horrible in both jewelry and electronics they were unhelpful and rude

Sounds like we have all had the same bad experience with this store. Mine has been with the same employee. DEACON is his name and today was the 2nd time in a month he was rude to me. The first time was the day before thanksgiving. We needed one of the cabinets unlocked in the pharmacy area. Between my mom and myself we had reached out to 3 different employees, none had keys but "would find someone to help" help never came. I approached another employee monitoring the self- checkout asked if there was any way to page for someone to come unlock the cabinet, she said i could go to customer service and ask them. I looked at customer service and responded to her "No, I'm not waiting in line for 40 minuets, why don't you go ask for me" (duh). She did and as I'm heading back towards the isle, I need help in, I hear the page and I see 2 employees WITH keys yakking away and as they started to part ways, I stopped the man and said excuse me did you hear the page, do those keys you have open the cabinet right around the corner here? This was Deacon. He looked irritated and with a rude tone in his voice said "yeah I will be with you in a minute" and starts walking off, I watched him go all the way to the other end of the store. It would have taken 30 seconds to open the cabinet but instead he went to the other end of the store! He NEVER came back and we ended up walking out of the store. Walmart lost $300 that day. Today, I wasn't the only one that needed the cabinet unlocked in cosmetics, a gentleman with his little girls had been waiting before me, asked for help before me. Pushed the help button 3 times before me and help didn't come..so I went looking. I found an employee who didn't have keys but pointed out (Deacon) the man with the yellow vest, he has keys, get him before he walks off. And there he was farting around with a display on the shelf instead of answering the call. I walked up to him and asked if he could please come help in cosmetics and unlock the cabinet, and just like before he said "yeah I will be there in a minute" This time I stared him down and said oh like you did during thanksgiving? He came right away this time. How do people like this get hired?? I didn't bother to call for the manager because I had no confidence they would be capable of taking care of the issue and no confidence I would even get a hold of them. As Walmart's go, this one is pretty magnificent inside. It's brightly lighted, immaculately clean, and it has just about everything you could imagine. It's almost like they took a gigantic discount shopping mall and tore down the walls and then squeezed all the merchandise together into a giant rectangle. read more

This is a dreadful WM. They seem to be mostly self check out. I went in a few weeks ago, & stood in line for 30 minutes, thinking I was going to get a cashier, but no, they have changed the cashier stands to self check out. It was a nightmare. I am prepared to pay a dollar more for my shopping elsewhere & get a cashier. They are also very disorganized. There is nothing there, I can't get elsewhere, much easier. There's no store manager which explains the lack of customer service from the employees including assistant manager Melissa (manager--ha!) and store lead, Amber. I had no cart ,tried to walk to shop, but to much pain. James partridge who works for Walmart seen me setting waiting for a cart he ended up finding one. I had surgery and still not ok. Help me...Im scared of this place. I think I know where the web site "People of Walmart" started. It had to have started here in Oroville. There should be a website called people of Oroville. Sorry, I judge based on tooth count and facial tattoos. As to the Walmart itself, it was very clean and organized. However I think it was due to they were in the middle of inventory. The people who do inventory aren't the pillars of society either. If you've ever worked in a corporate retail setting, you know what I mean. I chose to come to this Walmart to kill time while my husbands family cleaned out his deceased uncles home. I also thought that the prices out here in Oroville might be cheaper than a Walmart out in the Bay Area. I was right in the price the department. I bought an umbrella stroller for my mom to use when she babysits. At my local Walmart it's $20.00 but here it was $15.00. Quite the steal. The clothes department reflects the economy and society around it. I have shopped at Walmart all over the US and they all purchase clothing to reflect society around them. In Utah you get long shorts and no tank tops to reflect the Mormon community. In Oroville you get clothes that are size 16 and over with absolutely nooooooo business casual clothes. If you're smaller than size 16 head over to the kiddie section. As I was leaving I saw a girl standing out front who was probably my age with not front teeth. She was with a man who was older than her and if I bet on it was probably the cause of her lack of front teeth. Not only was I scared myself but scared and sad for her. Firstly, we're from the Silicon Valley! We own a home up here and frequent Oroville a lot! I'm gonna give it to you straight! America has lost a lot of it's core values; especially the one, "treat others as you would yourself!" Well, the people in this Wal-Mart, have NOT forgotten how to treat their customers! Have you ever played Wal-Mart Bingo? This is the perfect place to do it! You'll win every time. Obese lady in a scooter? Check. Pregnant girl with a tramp stamp tattoo above her visible thong? Check. Guy under thirty with no teeth? Check. You get the point. Anyway, we were visiting friends in Oroville and decided to purchase speakers for their computer. We ended up returning them, which was no problem. What should have been on the Walmart bingo card: "Baby Momma Tries to Get Full Refund for 3/4 empty Hairspray Bottle She Bought a Few Weeks Ago." ("But it's aerosol! I can't use it! I have a receipt!") And that's the reason I was in Wal-Mart longer than I should have. However, I was impressed with the staff. They actually knew where merchandise was and even walked to to the correct aisle and pointed it out. What a concept. read more

This is a fairly new store so you would think it would be well maintained and clean . It is not. It looks like they took the same staff from the smaller store to bew bigger store and that was it. They need to hire more staff and they need to clean the bakery produce and deli areas. Very disorganized and need cleaning. I found produce that when I picked it up mashed up and the bakery had some dessert that had expired 2 weeks before. The deli clerk told me she didn't know if they carried the han that was listed and if I could find it she would cut it. Real good customer service. NOT read more

Well, if you want to get infected with Covid 19 this Fourth of July , head to your local Oroville Walmart super center . The store is defying our good governors mandatory mask policy and allowing customers inside without a mask. The store is crowed with holiday shoppers and half of them out without masks . Last time I looked, Butte County had 189 Covid 19 cases . Walmart is choosing to be part of the problem instead of being part of the solution. read more

This has happened to me 4 times in a row... I make a pick up order, and at the designated time, they text me it's delayed by 2 hours... So I'm sitting in the parking lot another 2 hours. I cancelled, because I'm so infuriated by this FOURTH TIME, I CALL corporate office, I call the Walmart itself, no one answers anywhere! Corporate offers me a measly $20.00 credit on a $168.00 order! Plus I have people coming tonight and now I have no food because WALMART can't EVEN text ahead of time, that they're delayed. 4 times this has happened, and the Store doesn't care. They have people standing around, and no one has a key to unlock dental floss for God's sake! I deserve a $150.00 compensation for all this waiting, being put on hold, being ignored, app doesn't allow communication. WalMart is seriously has the WORST customer service, and especially the one in Oroville, Ca, and they won't help, or offer a free delivery! Ok, Walmart you have officially lost my business!! I just walked out of your store leaving my cart with items I had intended to purchase behind. I am sick to death of finding everyday items that I regularly buy suddenly being locked up behind glass cases and then having to hunt down an employee to open it. I was just trying to buy some makeup. I saw the glass case, got a little irritated, but this time there actually was a call box on the aisle (miracle), so I pressed it, 5 times, and nothing happened. I waited a bit before I pushed it each time, but there was no overhead announcement, although I heard other calls for other sections of the store. I waited and waited, yet no one came. That's when I walked out. This is getting ridiculous and pathetic! Last week I had to ask a lady to open the case for a .96 bottle of nail polish remover. A few months ago it was Advil that was locked up. I'm tired of being punished because of all the thieves, crack heads, and meth heads that frequent the store. I spend good money at your store, but no more. I'm taking my business elsewhere, even if I have to spend more. Shopping at your store has become very inconvenient and frustrating. This store is only just 2 years old, and while the store itself is nice, the employees are hard to find and act like they hate life, and now every time I go in something else is locked up! The Chico store isn't any better, if anything it's worse - smaller, crowded, etc. etc. That leaves me Target, Walgreens, CVS, or Rite Aid. I have never seen such indifference from management...if there even a manager here. Before the pandemic, this place was as good as our usual Susanville store, but now? No sanitizing wipes upon entering store. Women's bathroom was as bad as the ignored bathroom at a gas station in the city (no purse hook, stall one/pee and discarded tissues all over the seat and floor, stall 2/stall 3 occupied/broken toilet tissue dispenser, stall 4. Now to check-out... 4 cashier's for the approximately 20 carts in line CONTINUOSLY...and approximately 7 minutes per customer. When we finally got up to Jackie, we thanked her for her hard work and her response was gratitude for noticing, but almost apologetic because her line never got even close to calming down. When we go to other stores, which we have vowed to from now on, there are EXTRA clerks in EVERY line. Guess Walmart is hurting for money these days. We will remember this. read more

I was pretty surprised to see all the negative comments. Our Oroville Walmart has served our community for so many years providing things we could otherwise not get. The "new" Superstore IMO Rocks! Sometimes there is a long wait for an associate. But the amount of customers is astounding. I've never had an employee that didn't try to help me out with kindness and a good attitude. Same as I approach them. Maybe life just mirror's back what you project?? I do try and pick the dates and times that I go. Another thing I love, is the online ordering. Some things I loved, and thought were forever gone from my life, I've found online! (Nalley's HOT chili). A splurge... decades went by with none, then I found it online. Delivered to my home! Woo Hoo : D Also, ethernet cords the length "I" need them. (25-50'). I think I had to pick them up in-store. No line, just hit the button and an employee came over, checked the receipt I brought and tada. I'm out the door. Lastly, to the folks that said it wasn't clean. I'm thinking that they need to go down South a ways shop there. Your opinion just might change. Dirtiest store I've ever seen was the Costco in Sac. I'm from Sacramento and frequent this area (paradise) for the first time went to Walmart in Oroville saw there was a new location (easy to find) I have to say by far the cleanest nicest Walmart I've ever been into. Probably nicest store in general I've ever been too. We went early in the morning hours so there was hardly anyone in the store but it was very very clean. Wow I've been in this store 5 times and every time the cashier's are unbelievably slow. They look like they couldn't care less if you have to wait. I was in line for 20 min with only 2 people in front of me with 20 items or less in their cart. If management dosnt know how slow these lines are moving they have no business being in that position! If cashier's aren't able to do their job, Wal-Mart needs to hire someone that's capable of doing it. I will drive to Chico to go to that Wal-Mart. Never going back!! read more

I have been in this store three times. Staff are always nice and helpful. However, there is always a lot of stocking going on. Some shelves don't have what you are looking for. It gets crowded with lots of customers and lots of staff. However, almost anything you want to find, you can in this store - you just might have to ask for help to find it. read more

If I could give them no stars, I would. The parking lot and store is filthy. The store management is so incompetent, that they cannot keep grocery bags (fabric, plastic, paper, etc) in stock. Don't shop here if you plan to buy more than 3 things. Also, their customer service is abysmal. They do not employ more than one cashier at a time. They prefer that you use their self-checkout machines (these work only half the time.) This store keeps all of its hygiene, bath and makeup supplies behind a glass container. Good luck finding someone to open it for you. I imagine that they are losing money doing this, as most folks give up, and go to CVS for these supplies instead. This review is about the Lawn and Garden Center. Kathy the only checkout lady who talks way too much while there is a line of 5 customers in line, working as slow as molasses on on a cold day. Al, the asst manager, who stop to talk to Kathy, contuinued on his merry way and didn't bother to help out by opening another cash register or call for additional back up cashier. April 14, 2021 They have stopped supplying sanitizer and counting patrons. All the aisle counters don't pay attention to customers and one ran straight into my cart, before I yelled at her to watch out! Apparently, it is the new norm for the regular registers up front to be closed (NOT ONE OF THEM IS ALLOWED TO BE OPEN) only self check out. I was told this happened yesterday and it was going on today at 11:15 am! Many customers were complaining. People were packed like sardines up front (NOT COVID COMPLIANT). I decided to go to electronics since I really needed the 15 items I had in my cart. I waited in line (3rd). When it was my time, I asked if I could purchase the items there. Alicia the electronic cashier was the worse part of this entire day! She was rude, told me she had other customers to wait on instead of me ( I was next in line) and walked off. She kept looking to see if I was still there. She came back, opened a different register and checked others out. Kept trying to help other people with questions and ignored me. She told one man that she had no clue where anything he asked about was. She did that to another person too. I finally spoke up loudly demanding service. I did this as I dialed 1 800 Walmart to complain. She finally came over. It took literally 5 mins for her to ring me up and me be on my way, but stalled a good 30 minutes because she didn't want to . My boyfriend and I were on a fantastic "no agenda day" where we randomly explore new places. Today we happened upon Oroville, a town we simply pass on by without any care or thought. After much exploration, I unfortunately started to experience the onset of a migraine. We quickly pulled out our trusty yelp application (thank you yelp!) to find a store that would carry Excedrin migraine (my savior in terms of meds that make that awful migraine go hasta la vista!) Lo and behold, Walmart popped up and we sped away at lightening speed to purchase that oh so friendly migraine remover. Walmart has got to be a safe bet, right? WRONG. Okay, so they had the medicine in stock. At this point, my migraine was nearing the point of no return so I had only a small window of time to save myself from shooting out stomach bile and my lunch like the Fourth of July. But when we tried to purchase it, the register locked up and said it needed the manager's ID code to be entered in order for us to purchase it. It locked the whole register up (so sorry to the people in line behind us, times two). The nice cashier lady suggested we try another line. It was a longer line and at this point I feel like I am going to fall over and that my head as going to explode. My poor boyfriend was helping me walk around as I was probably acting like a lost cattle in those round a bout things before they get slaughtered. Yeah, migraines can disorient me that much. Finally, it is our turn and lo and behold, it wasn't a fluke! The same thing happens. This cashier takes the time to see why the manager's ID code pops up (thank you cashier lady) and it is because the Excedrin migraine has been recalled and is not allowed for purchase! What. The. Crap. Walmart! Here is why I get really, really, frustrated with you. Why would you keep a plethora of Excedrin migraine kicking around so people like me (who at this point, every stinking second counts) think that they will be able to save themselves from a horrific migraine only to find out their medicine is in recall. If a said recall is in effect, get the stuff off of the shelf so I can make an appropriate choice the first time! All be said and done, we found something close enough (that wasn't in recall) that took the edge off and three hours later, I recovered (in case you were captivated by my story and were interested in if I recovered or not :-P ). read more

I am soooooooo tired of going to Walmart and seeing all these little dogs in shopping carts. These are NOT dogs that help people. These are the types of dogs that people treat like their kids. I have big dogs and I'm sure if I brought them into Walmart I'd get thrown out! Double standards. I don't like the fact that the dogs that are in the carts have probably stepped in poop and then are in our carts where we put kids, food, etc...I am going to call the health dept. about this too. I have been attending this Walmart pretty much since I moved to Yankee Hill. This place is nice, friendly and exceptional. But when it gets too busy on holidays as Labor Day, Christmas and such. It gets too crowdy. It needs more walking space in some area. Their garden area is nice but very narrow aisle. I am tiny lady and it still doesn't fit two people pass through each other. In parking lot, they need more tall trees to give us customers some shade during hottest summer time of year. I give this 4 stars because I am pretty much satisfied. I haven't gotten into any complex situation. Oh last thing, their bathroom is right near entrance which I am thankful for every time I visit. read more
