There is a level of customer service so bad that the person responsible deserves to be fired on the spot. Shandy Hayden is that person. Shandy Hayden personally caused me a lot of trouble, expense, and wasted time. Shandy Hayden screwed over a charity. Shandy Hayden cost this Walmart thousands of dollars of lost business. Correction: tens of thousands, if you include future business. My wife is the food coordinator for a major area charity. She doesn't get paid a penny to do it. She called this Walmart months ahead of a major volunteer event to see if she could order hundreds of prepackaged sandwiches, and how much lead time they needed. She placed the order with the requested lead time, padded by several extra days just to be safe. But shortly before the sandwiches were needed, the order was cancelled without explanation. My wife called and emailed multiple times to find out why, and to try to see if something could be worked out. She got no response of any kind, ever. There is no imaginable excuse good enough to justify what happened. Shandy Hayden yanked the rug out from under us, and if she doesn't deserve to be fired, I don't know who would. read more

The older lady at the customer service mocked me when I brought up the Walmart return policy. I came in with a heater that didn't work for me and the receipt, but didn't keep the box and she made me feel dumb for even bringing it in. More people should live with a positive attitude on their face you never know what someone's going through. read more

The 2 stars are because it's great to have a Walmart in Pagosa for your vacation or living assistance. BUT there are issues. 1) stock really low. I mean a rack with 4 arms in men's section with 3 total pairs of shorts. There seem to be a lot of staff stocking but wow has the feeling of early COVID days (august 2021). 2) grumpy guy at self check. I needed a signature on alcohol purchase and he didn't even acknowledge me. I am definitely spoiled as in greater Albuquerque area the folks in the self check are so amazing always asking if they can help and sometimes just jumping in and scanning. So maybe is an expectation/management issue. He is gray haired and truly acted like my daughter and I were bothering him. I don't expect Nordstrom service at Walmart but I do expect common courtesy. Note the much younger folks doing the stocking all seemed super nice. Maybe they need to train the other guy. read more

Was in town for vacation. Pre-orderd all my groceries online for curbside pickup two different times during my stay. Both times, the orders were ready as promised. The representatives who brought my orders to my vehicle were SUPER NICE, and friendly. Highly recommend, especially for order pickup. They had 99% of items needed curbside. read more

I stopped by the WalMart store Pagosa Sprints, Co Mgr William on the receipt this afternoon for a few items, I need fruit on a regular basis what do I see, a big dog in a shopping cart. This is a health safety issue, when is Walmart going stop allowing everyone's dogs in the store. a few days ago another dog in the cart and before that a dog on leash sniffing a woman's behind, this is third world. walMart needs to stop looking the other way, they are endangering my health and everyone else. I should not be subjected to this in a store that gives shots and sells food. WalMart should be asking the two questions and make sure these animals are not in a cart or bother other customers. no dog should get close to other customers. those carts should be immediately sanitized. it is bad enough they don't offer lots of choices let alone they don't care about my safety. they don't deserve a star but I had to select something. read more

This store feels like a covid spreader. First of all, there is a huge banner at the front door stating masks are required. The store is VERY crowded. All staff were wearing masks, but almost no shoppers. No one was socially distant especially at checkout. I don't want a family with kids, no masks, standing two feet from me at checkout. No one is enforcing the stores own rules. By the way, this store closed down for three days recently because there was so much covid among the staff. Guess they don't care about their customers. I will drive to Durango rather than shop here. At least in Durango, I can do curbside pickup. read more

Nice walmart. Pretty good size. Thank goodness there's a Walmart in this small town. They don't have everything but mostly what you need. They have food & some clothes. Lots of kayaks! Was looking for cereals in a cup they didn't have any. Sweaters are expensive about $20-$30. Other then that it's good prices like other Walmarts. read more

The managers were caught reselling PlayStation 5s at double the mark up. Now The Pagosa Walmart can't sell PS5's because of criminal management. The staff they have are good, but most have quit and the store has become terribly understaffed. The Pharmacy was good until they told me a very important prescription would be here in a week and it never was delivered to date. Pharmacy techs are always nice but when the management doesn't care enough to stock a prescription for you, service doesn't really matter. Why no to car delivery? All in all the staff there are great but management needs severe improvement. read more

I had to run in really quick this morning to get some tylenol for my sick son. I got to the store a few minutes before opening and waited in my car until 6 AM, which was the posted "opening time" for monday-friday on the front doors. at 6 AM I got out and waited at the front doors, which were still closed. a gentleman staff member who was emptying trash cans in the parking lot came up and unlocked the doors, after confirming with another employee over the radio that the store should be open. I run in, quick grabbed the medicine, and head to self check out. as I am checking out a staff member who I am assuming was assigned to the self check out stations comes up to me and kind of rudely says, "how did you get in here? the store isn't open yet." ... which i thought was odd because there were 2 other people checking themselves out at the same time as me? maybe they were walmart employees buying things before their night shift ended? i don't know, but she singled me out for some reason. I explained that the gentleman staff member opened the doors as the store opens at 6 AM. She looks at me basically like I am stupid and says, "no, we don't open until 7." to which I replied "you open at 7 on the weekends, and 6 on weekdays..." She scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I am not sure who peed in her coffee this morning, but it was just so rude and uncalled for. read more

Made a pick up order several days ahead of time. Received a text that our order was ready but when we got there they said come back tomorrow because of technical difficulties that day. The following day I received a text that part of my order was in but when we arrived they had nothing for us. Had a hold on my card for 2 days. Went in to get some things and the store was a wreck, shelves were empty and the employees were clueless. Go to city market down the road!! Clean and fully stocked. read more

In great shape, well maintained, and easy drive from the Wyndham timeshare. Being out of towners, we weren't aware that grocery and Walmart-type stores in the area only sell "half beer" so be advised if you want wine or any actual liquor, you have to go to a liquor store in town, you cannot buy it here or another grocery store. We ran to this Walmart almost daily while we were in town. They also have a Redbox for family nights in. read more

Trying to call this store is impossible! They don't answer and when they do they leave you hanging or they just hang up!! Shop City Market at least they take care of customers and their selection and quality of food is so much better. Don't waste your time going to Walmart!!! read more

So happy we have a Walmart here in Pagosa. The women's bathroom is always clean!! (Not like the one in Durango which is discussing! ) The pharmacy has a great staff who are friendly & helpful. All employees are really kind & helpful. It's a smaller Walmart so we run out of items pretty quick. Can't complain, it's great not having to drive to Durango or order from Amazon for most items. Lake & mountain views are awesome! read more

We have parked in Walmart all over the US in our RV. At 12:30 police knocked on our door and said we had to leave the parking lot. There were NO signs indicating over night parkers weren't allowed. We spent money in this store and we spend thousands of dollars with Walmart every year. read more
