Took my very expensive watch to Howard's Jewelers to have the battery changed. They told me it was working when I picked it up. However, it was not. I took it back to have them look at it once more and they told me they thought maybe it was a bad connection. Again, it was not working. I took it to another jeweler and here's what they found. Below is a text from the jeweler I took it to after Howard's. "Here are the pictures of your watch, we took the pictures right after we opened it, someone taped the wrong size  battery in place since they lost the screw on the arm that makes contact and holds the battery, we tested the movement and the coil has also been damaged which is easy to do if your not careful when changing the battery." "So blatantly wrong what they did. The battery size is right on the back of the watch. What a great picture!" Please be careful!! read more

Horrible customer service. Specifically the blonde woman with the glasses is truly miserable to deal with from the beginning. The way she speaks to customers is mind blowing to me. Called 5 days later after getting a few tiny diamonds tightened on my ring she said it was ready. Came to pick it up and they were just as loose as when I dropped them off and the diamonds next to it were loose as well when they weren't before. The jeweler seemed to only care about leaving for the day and not taking care of an extremely expensive ring bought from them. He stated "you must have hawk eyes to see that"...sir you're the one with a microscope to inspect it haha He "tightened the diamond" but ending up scratching up the side of my ring and shoving the diamond in clearly more than the ones next to it. It's crazy to think this is how customer service is. 0/10 attitude and workmanship. Hope the owner takes this to heart or I truly believe this business won't last long. read more

I stopped in Howard's to see if they could duplicate a ring for me. I was greeted by a young man named Alex. He was absolutely wonderful. He was very patient with me as I had a lot of questions. I also met Mary, who was also wonderful, and patient with me as well. I ended up purchasing several pieces of jewelry at great prices. The jewelry consultant , Alex, was very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. He took the time to show me various pieces and to educate me on the value of mined diamonds vs lab grown diamonds. Alex also made great suggestions for other jewelry I wouldn't have even thought of to look at because I didn't know they carry such a diverse selection. Excellent SERVICE!!! Thank you for your help! I unfortunately fell on hard times and had to take two necklaces in and pawn them for a loan. At one point, after not getting phone calls or a reminder slip in the mail I went in to check and both items were forfeited. The lady at the counter was very dismissive and didn't tell me they could research and see if they were available to reclaim. I had to find another store and call them and they explained the process. When I called this store back the lady seemed annoyed that I found out that I could reclaim them. They were only able to find one (even though it was only a few days after the forfeiture. Thankfully it was the one my mother had given me, which was a pretty heavy diamond cut chain with a pretty heavy cross on it. Fast forward to yesterday. I've moved out of the area and drove back two hours to reclaim my item. Reclaiming it was easy, but I noticed when I put it in that the cross pendant (large cross with diamond chips) seemed a little small. I thought maybe it was just my memory, but my mother looked at it and said it's definitely not the same cross. I'm going to call the store tomorrow, but I'm sure there is absolutely nothing that can be done at this point. My advice--don't take ANYTHING to this place to pawn, no matter how desperate you are!!! read more

She had a second opinion come in and we met in the middle of my expectations and what the rings were being priced at on the current market for gold. We bought my wedding ring here. I picked out the diamond and when my husband proposed it didn't look the same. We got a phone call ~6 months later saying they put the wrong diamond in and had found my diamond on an inventory review. Glad they at least replaced it with the correct one! A couple years later had to get it resized. The jeweler did a poor job and notches from where it was cut kept catching on my clothes/hair. Took it back and the jeweler rolled his eyes and said he couldn't feel it. After multiple attempts he smoothed it out but now it's much thinner at the base of the ring and the notch is still there. A place where employees makes struggling customers cry then judge them more. A place where rudeness is over kindness. The customer wasn't giving the workers a hard time or looking for anything special. She was just trying to pay on a loan. I over heard the employee being very rude to this girl even after she explained she's going through some hardships. Towards the end the girl was crying in the store while all the other workers was giving her dirty looks. It's sad. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Donna and Ashley on purchasing an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Right away Howard's felt different than other Jewelers. At the other places I felt pressured to buy or felt like I wasn't worth their time. At Howards i felt like family. Donna made the experience of buying an engagement ring very special for me and very easy as well. As far as the prices go you won't find any other jeweler in the area with this competitive of prices. Love this location! Tanya and Brittany are so sweet and helpful. I came in to browse and they helped me find exactly what I wanted. Brittany is my favorite salesperson, she will go out of her way to help you find whatever you are looking for and call the other stores or their designers to see if they have it or can make it. Of course their job is to make money, but I have gone to other jewelry stores that have very apathetic sales people. Not here. They are great! Not pushy or rude if you don't buy something, they will clean any jewelry you are wearing weather you bought it their or not. I would rather shop here than a big box jewelry chain any day. Save yourself the trouble from buying low quality. Unfortunately purchased my wedding set from here. The main diamond and accent diamonds have "fallen out" three times. They supposedly fix the prongs and then...diamonds fall out again. The ring doesn't even stay in a circle...if you hit the ring on anything it changes shape I now have a $2500 misshapen, diamond missing accent to my jewelry box. Have tried to sell it and the most I have been offered is $100. Beware. read more

I traded in a ring I purchased previously because the stone fell out. On 11/06/20 Tonya said they would call me on 11/11/20 to pick it up. The new ring needed to be sized. Nobody called me. Not the best experience. I asked for them to make me a simple piece. However this was of significant value- over $1,000. I was very specific in what I asked and it was a common easy piece. They assured me they could do it. When it came back I asked for their assistance in putting the pendant on a necklace and they would not show me. When I came home the pendant wouldn't even hang correctly. I came back brought it to them, they said they could make it, they call me again a week later saying it's going to take them 4 weeks! I asked if I could refund it if it comes back defective they said no. I asked if I could get a refund now then since they clearly couldn't produce the item. Came in with a ring I recently purchased for my girlfriend. The ring was a little big on her finger and would turn from side to side when she wore it. I did not know her ring size but after explaining the situation to an employee, I told the employee it needed to go down a size to a 5.5; however, she recommended bringing it from a size 6 to a 5. I agreed not knowing anything about ring sizes and figured I would listen to the professional. After being charged the $70 standard charge for re-sizing, I was able to pick up the ring. The only problem was it was too small.....oh goodness. I proceeded to go back to the store with my girlfriend because we wanted to get a measurement of her finger. They stated she needed a size 6, I argued "how can this be, I just had it sized from a 6 to a 5." They then took a few more measurements until we all agreed a 5.5 was the correct size. I then asked if we could have this resized for free or at a discounted price, I thought this was a reasonable request considering I had just paid $70 to have it resized. They proceeded to tell me they can resize it for $50. This means after multiple attempts I would be paying $120 to have a ring resized. I felt this was not acceptable and told them I will take my business else where because of the price. The manager then stated "You know you are going to have to wait for other jewelers to send out the ring, it will almost take two weeks" as one last attempt to save my business. I restated that I do not feel comfortable paying this amount of money to have a ring resized, because of a recommendation that was not correct from an employee. I really was expecting the company to resize the ring as a courtesy and a sign of good measure to keep my business. Clearly I left disappoint, and probably will never recommend this store to friends or family due to the lack of customer service. read more
