This Wal-Mart is so terrible. The lines (including the fast checkout) are regularly wrapped all the way back to the clothing section. I seem to almost always get nearly trampled when I stop here, even despite the cane (hello, people!). The cashiers are robots, the selection is meager, and the bathroom is disgusting. The good thing, though, is that the old crafts sales lady lets me cut the ribbon by 1/2 yard instead of a full yard. I make my cat handmade collars, and I don't need a whole yard. :) read more

The absolute worst customer service experience ever. Everyone passed the buck to the next person without even attempting to resolve the situation. Glitch in system is not an excuse to be able to mistreat customers. At some point it would have been nice to hear one person say they were interested in offering a solution rather than saying what could not be done. Condescending assistant manager clearly set the tone for the rest of the employees not to care about retaining customers. Yes, another surprise, but hold on and read please ;) I was in need of my camera's date coin battery of a specific size. I happened to be in the area yesterday late morning and first tried nearby Target that didn't sell such a battery, and I ended up around the corner to this Walmart location. An associate at the camera dept was familiar with various battery types & sizes, and when she saw that my size was not in stock, she directed me to the jewelry dept by the checkout registers to hopefully see if they have any more in stock there instead. The associate at jewelry was also knowledgable and told me to look at the battery stand next to her to see if there is a battery to purchase at a cheaper price first and that if it's not in stock (which it unsurprisingly wasn't), to come back to her counter where she had some in stock that she had at a more secured area (because she said they got stolen easily) and found the better brand in a correct size. She watched me put the new battery inside my camera to be sure it fit and worked, which it did, and she and I smiled cheerily over a successful sale... Walmart is the type of [corporate] store that sells "just about everything", so it's a go-to for stuff at a decent price if you needed something quickly (and that's all) ;) read more

This is a weird Walmart in a Weird mall. Everything about this place gives me the Hebe-jeebees. I saw a couple having a domestic dispute in the toy isle. Listened to several screaming children and wasn't greeted by the greeter. I took my mom here and was afraid someone would step to her and I would have to beat them down. I had to go to this Walmart to pick up an online purchase (the one near my home didn't have it in stock). It's a typical Walmart; but, the location is in a mall and the perception you leave with is not a good one. It's dingy (appears dirty) and extremely overcrowded (Walmart near me is roomier) and not quite as busy. If I could have given it "0" stars, I would have; but, one of the store employees in the fish section was really helpful and VERY friendly to both me and my 4 year old (worth two stars). :-) read more

This is the worst Wal-Mart I have ever experienced. The bathrooms are filthy. full of useless non helpful employees, and almost no registers open with of course rather long lines. I most recently made the mistake of going later in the evening with my husband. This Wal-Mart has enacted a no backpack policy, which of course is not posted. The door greeter insisted on taking my husband's bag but of course disregarded woman with similar parcels. She declared she would watch it but would not take any financial responsibly. Upon leaving she of course was not watching my husband property as she declared. I just walked of with his parcel. I could have been anyone. So if you want to experience filth. horrible lines and now have your properly stolen this is the Wal-Mart for you. I'll happily give Target my money. I would give no stars if possible. read more

This review is for the auto shop. I have gotten my oil changed at this location for the past 3 years. My wait is usually between 30 minutes to an hour, not bad. So it is not attached to the best mall in town, but some browsing makes the wait go by faster. Or I can grab a few groceries while I wait and by the time I'm done my car is ready. They say they will call/page you when your vehicle is ready but I have yet to have this happen. When I drop off my car I ask how long the wait is and come back then, my car is usually done by the time they say and parked outside. I have no complaints about the service. They do a good job and I appreciate that. read more

I have made it a point to avoid this place as much as possible, but my ex really likes shopping at Wal-Mart in the middle of the night while stoned off her ass and maybe a little tipsy. So after we broke up and did the whole "getting back together for a week and then breaking up again" thing like 50 times because we just sort of deserve each other's misery, I let her coax me into going here just so we wouldn't fight. I had a massive migraine and kept losing her and I think she shoplifted like $50 in nail polish, but I didn't ask. I was getting the munchies and filled up my cart with three ice cream cakes (what is wrong with me??) and we pushed them through the store for an hour, until they melted everywhere and totally ruined the floor in the kids aisle and I think some Mexican kid slipped in it, but Mexican kids here are always running away from their mothers, so serves him right. Frankly, I don't blame the mothers -- I'd want a break from brats like that too (and this isn't an exclusively Mexican thing either, my mom did the same thing and I'm black) but c'mon, do you really want your kid to slip in melted ice cream and get a concussion? Also, why is your kid even awake at 2 a.m.? So we left without buying anything and after that we broke up again. This Wal-Mart is like that. read more

This is the most "Ghetto" walmart. The lines are insane. Doesn't matter when you go there are never enough check out lines. I've actually left full carts full of food because I've gotten fed up with trying to check out. No one should have to pay for warm frozen food.. talk about a health hazard. I've had both good and bad experiences with the employees here. But worst of all is the people begging for money. This is a generalized review on the Walmart chain in general. Walmart has a product brand ONN this includes tvs, speakers, cords etc. recently there was an issue with my tv and I have contacted them several times on this product issue. I have had nothing but issues for getting this warranty resolved. I heard I'll call you back, we have escalated the issue. I have been dealing with this problem since august. I have been given SEVERAL incorrect numbers to contact. I was working with an agent on the phone from ONN they contacted this specific Walmart location and the manager said there was nothing they could do. I am done with this company, I will never shop their electronics again and make sure I let everyone know about this issue on here and Yelp and also will contact the better business bureau. This place is scary and a dump. There are long lines for check out and customer service. I can never find anyone to help me. I have actually done price comparisons of items I use on an ongoing basis and 50% of them were cheaper at Target and 50% were cheaper at Wal-Mart. Hello, my name is Javier and I just wanna say that I just seen the most disappointing thing I've ever seen at a Walmart store, 2 lady's walked up to the electronics department and asked for help, and Betty from electronics was just leaning, on the counter and she asked them if they needed anything in the rudest way possible and she didn't even move whatsoever, she stayed there unbothered to even get close to them to try to help them, instead she just kept replying to them in the rudest ways, untill a disabled employee came in his wheelchair and helped the 2 ladies as she finally got up from leaning on the counter and walked away, seriously couldn't believe it, came to buy a Nintendo switch and honestly at this point, I'll go by somewhere else, it makes me so angry that someone can just have the audacity to do that shows a lot of how much the store cares as well. read more

I went to this Walmart to return a cooler that was given to me. The associate that was helping me rang it up and said I couldn't return the item cause I didn't have a receipt and it was over 25 dollars. I asked her why I couldn't exchange it she said it was store manager policy nothing over $25 can be exchanged without receipt even if Costomer gonna put money right back in store on purchases. So I took it to another Walmart on 7 st and bell they took it back no problem but gave me gift card no problem cause I'm planning to get some things for me and my puppy. read more

Okay.... so it's Walmart.... you can get everything from phones to food to well.... pretty much anything. They usually always have workers within a few feet of wherever you happen to be, and the prices on food especially are low.... about the same as Fry's to be honest.... The downside would be that sometimes there is long lines and big crowds.... but I don't think that is unusual for any Walmart. read more

Well this is about Walmart. Com I have placed many orders from Walmart. com and never had a problem, but this time has been so screwed up that I will no longer order from there. I placed one order for one product all the same thing and same flavor. I ordered 10 packs of Boost chocolate flavor drink. I placed it on April 14th 2020, I received 1 pack of chocolate boost, then I received an email saying that the rest of my order has been broken up into several different shipments and that they are all vanilla! WTF???? What I want to know is who changed my order????? How can they do that???? Then it's the 25th of April and I still haven't gotten all of it and I went to the store to exchange it for chocolate and they won't let me because of the lockdown. I'm seriously not going to order from them anymore because if they can go into my order and change it, why even place one because you don't know if you will even get what you ordered. One day in the summer of 2015 i went to this walmart to purchase something that they didn't have at another location i and i had another 2 item in my backpack that i had purchased at the walmart 2 miles away on 35th avenue and Bethany Home road an hour before i went to this location i had a package of sargento string cheese and a gallon of simply lemonade that i purchased on 35th and bethany at 12 noon and i went into the location at christown mall at 1pm after i got off the bus on bethany home road at 1250 pm I proceeded to walk into the store and go to the hostess aisle to get something for my friend who was at his house and I put my bag down for a second to put my drink back in the bag my backpack I mean and this associate calls from management saying that I was stealing and I wasn't and I was putting my drink back in my bag which I was so I proceeded to go to the front of the store to leave the store and they said they were going to call the police on me and I told him do it I dare you so they called him and I'm waiting for them to come and they tell the police that I was stealing stuff when I clearly wasn't that I told him that I bought the string cheese and lemonade at the location on 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road at 12 p.m. noon and I showed them the receipt they looked at it and they let me go because I showed them proof that was not lying so I called the corporate offices for Walmart and the district manager and I got the manager of that store fired at Christown because of what they did to me employees are unprofessional no customer service whatsoever and they don't know how to treat their customers at all I've ever really really going to that Walmart today in 2020 because of this and I barely really gone in there since to 2015 around this time five years ago because of what happened to me in there that day if you must go to Walmart please go to the one on 35th Avenue and Bethany they know how to treat their people their workers or customer they treat you good compared to the one at Christown read more

12/5/13 - I just spent 45 minutes in site to store line (@store 2113), 16thave & Bethany home phoenix AZ) to find out that the wrong item was held and the one i ordered is not available. This is unacceptable and poor customer service. During this busy holiday season i do not appreciate my time being wasted! Both the drive there and the wait in line! This situation resulted in a refund simply because i could not wait any longer. I have tried calling to discuss this with store manager same night but gave up after waiting 20 min for a manger who never came to the phone. I will no longer be supporting Walmart as it lacks integrity. 12/7/13 - I have been further inconvenienced by Walmart. I received a call from that store, i am sure it is in response to my complaint via email. In the voice message it said to call him back and he can help me out. This is the dirtiest, least helpful Walmart in all of Phoenix. I've been to this location dozens of times over the past few years, and it never ceases to disappoint! Guaranteed to have the least amount of inventory out of any of the Phoenix locations, and guaranteed to find the longest lines in any store in the area regardless of what time of day you go. Oh and never try to call the store to get help. I've tried multiple times and just get transferred to a ghost department phone that endlessly rings without the hope of ever getting picked up. I figured maybe I could call them with an inventory question and, if I mentioned I just had back surgery, they might actually make more of an effort to help. Obviously, if you're reading this, you probably already know that that was a stupid assumption. I was in line for 20min and when I got to the front the cashier told me he was closed. I went to another line and waited 30min just to be told that register wasn't open anymore. I started waiting in lines at about 11:30 pm. I didn't get out of there until 12:40am. I was the last customer out of the store. I told both of the managers there what happened and Austin the co-manager said "Don't worry", "I will get to the bottom of it" I told him that doesn't help me. He said nothing more. Of course when I went to my car the other items from other stores had already melted. (I usually shop 2-3 stores when I go shopping). Bottom line- PLEASE DON'T SHOP HERE. BAD MANAGEMENT+FILTHY CUSTOMERS ON DRUGS = PURE CHAOS WITH NO ORGANIZATION WHAT-SO-EVER. When I returned home my husband told me that this is the worst Walmart in Phoenix with the most incidents (police arrests) averaging 11 per day. Go to the Walmart on 35th Ave and Bethany Home. This Walmart is terrible and always crowded and kind of sketchy, just like all other Walmarts. However, the employees are NOT as bad as people are saying. If you order something online and pick it up from the Online Orders service desk in back, you will probably meet Ron, who helped me when I ordered a bicycle online. He was SUPER helpful when I asked if someone could assemble my bike before I picked it up. He made sure that someone called me the next day when the bike was assembled. And when I came to pick it up and also wanted to buy a bike lock and bike light, he took me over to the electronics section to ring me up so I didn't have to go up front and wait in line again. And he helped me take the bike out to my car and load it in the back. Awesome employee! read more

I highly recommend not shopping at this location. I was out running errands and stopped In to this store for a few items. They completely closed off one of the entrance/exits making everyone bottleneck into one area waiting in long lines and in close proximity to others. Even though masks are required I felt completely unsafe waiting in line to enter the store around so many other people. Why not make one side an entrance only and one side an exit only?? The employees are completely rude, the the store is filthy. There is another location on 35th ave and Bethany home road that I recommend visiting instead. read more

Went in to purchase just a few items, after 9 p.m. Went to the Body Wash Section and three African American women we're looking at body washes too. One was driving the scooter that is intended for only disabled and or hurt customers. She was very healthy and in no way hurt. She could walk on both feet. Anywho, that customer driving the little cart asked me to hand her a body wash. Me being the nice person that I am, assumed she was hurt (she clearly wasn't) I handed it to her. Then she begins mocking me, then asked me to take the soap, I hand to her then she asked me to put it back, and give her another one. I then stood my ground and told her to get it herself. I just wanted to get in and out of the store without low life's harassing me. I then went to tell some cashiers to tell their CSM about these idiots acting like fools in their store. They didn't do anything about it. If you are going to do your shopping here, do it early in the daytime. You will see less transients, and immature kids trying to pull a fast one on you. If I shop here again, it will most definitely be early in the morning. No one needs to deal with idiot kids or transients. read more
