This is for the online grocery service. The last 3 times I have tried the service, my order has been either cancelled or an extreme delay in bringing it to my vehicle. Today I waited an hour. I don't know if there aren't enough employees or they're overwhelmed with too many orders, but this has much room for improvement. This will be the last time the Walmart at this location receives my money. First off, I hate writing reviews and one person's experience, one time doesn't mean it is indicative of the whole situation but in this instance it's a symptom of a larger problem at this store. Aside from fewer and fewer checkout lines being open and less then helpful people in the store, I have a serious problem in the way they run this new and innovative store pickup program. This isn't the first time that they've sent me a message that my order was ready and then I waited for I apparent reason but on this particular day; I've been waiting an HOUR and counting. I'm sitting in my car waiting on the few bags of groceries I ordered as a single guy. Aside from asking me my name, no one has told me anything about why it is taking so long. If you're understaffed, call your customers. If you need more time, call your customers. If customers and making money mean somethingnto the bottom line, I think you should call your customers. I can't say I will never set foot in a Walmart store again, but it will definitely not be this Walmart ever again. I'm no big shot or anyone special just a customer that doesn't like to have his time wasted. read more

This review is for Walmart online grocery pick-up I never wanted to use this service, because I thought they would pick out the wrong stuff, or my veggies wouldn't look good, or they would leave stuff out of my order. That is not the case at all. Every time I go pick up my order, it is correct! And if they are out of whatever you asked for, they will replace it with something similar to what you ordered. I get a text when my order is ready for pick up. They walk my stuff out to my car, and everyone has been really really nice! read more

Sheila and Deborah in the guest services were lovely; they helped me order food for a party, gave suggestions and even saved me money by suggesting the bakery for the custom cake I wanted. I recently moved from the East Coast where ordering groceries online and picking them up is commonplace, and I was really sad when I move to Texas and people laughed and called me stuck-up for not wanting to walk around the grocery store going up n down every aisle for an hour. Unfortunately, I have to give a two star rating for the pick up service at this Walmart. It is my first time to use the service, so I didn't know where to go. It does not make sense to me that the pick up service is all the way in the back of the store so you have to go through the entire store to pick up something you've already reserved and paid for. Upon arrival, there's no one at the desk, even though I have used the app to check into the store and indicate I was here for pick up. Five different people could not help me with the pick up. Finally someone came to help, but there were no baskets at the pick up so he had to go to the front of the store to get a basket. I'm waiting all this time. This is an efficiency nightmare, as someone really needs to work this process. It would've been faster to buy the product in store and not have to traverse the entire store for this item read more

This review isn't bias because I don't like Walmart to begin with... Found a few things on clearance with multiple price tags. Of course we go with the lowest price price tag. Cashier was very unfriendly. When we asked for a receipt prior to paying because the total didn't make sense he gave us attitude. There were so many ring up and deletes I just paid. Once I got out the line I realized he over charged us $20 on the clearance items. I took the receipt to customer service and that took another 30 mins for them to figure out what he did. End of story everything had to be refunded and ring up everything again! The lady at customer was polite and offered better customer service. The manager also gave us a $10 gift card for the inconvenience. That's a first that Walmart has every compensated me for the inconvenience of their error. read more

This review is for Walmart online Unlimited grocery Delivery. At the end of November I got shingles and decided to give Walmart's home delivery 15 day free trail a try. They use door dash to make the deliveries, which I was unaware of at the time, but found out later once my free trial ended and I decided to pay the annual fee of $98. Since it's unlimited, I wasn't hesitant to order frequently, and 95 percent of the time, the driver that was delivering my groceries could not speak any English. I live in a large apt complex, so this is a big issue once they arrive on property trying to guide them to my apt bldg. Plus half of the drivers would not even answer their phones because they knew they couldn't converse with me when I was trying to give them directions. I ended up having to walk all around my complex trying to find the drivers with my groceries. After calling and expressing my frustrations several times I finally cancelled my subscription. If you don't speak Spanish then I wouldn't recommend the unlimited delivery service. It's just an aggravation! And waste of money. Plus you're supposed to tip them for that aggravation! read more

No one ever helps me at this Walmart, I don't even think they have greeters. Associates will walk by you or into you without saying a word. The pharmacy is terrible. While the pharmacists are friendly, there's only one tech who has any concept of customer service. The lines are abysmal. The self checkout always has one or two broken registers, and the cashiers are as slow as molasses. If it wasn't for its close proximity, I would definitely shop elsewhere. This review is for their online grocery ordering and grocery pickup service. I'd like to start by saying I am not a huge fan of Walmart (for several reasons) and generally avoid shopping there. That being said, I just completed my first online grocery order and pickup today, and it was an outstanding experience. I started yesterday's order by having my list ready, as I would normally have when going to the store. I ordered about 80 items, with only one requiring order substitution due to being out of stock. The process online was simple and straightforward. I loved being able to check my pantry and cabinets for what I have on hand, as well as look up recipes online & order the ingredients I lack. I was able to compare prices and search for name brands easily. I reviewed my final order and submitted. (A tip for first-timers - use NEWORDER as a coupon code for 10% off your first order. I think I read that code is good until mid-January.) During my order submission, I reserved my pickup time for the following day (today) between 1:00pm-3:00pm. The website explains that you will receive a call 15 minutes prior to your reserved time, and they request you call them back when you are within 10 minutes of picking up your order. After submitting my order and reserving my pickup time, I got a confirmation email with further instructions for pickup as well as my order summary and total. This morning a little after 10:00am, I received a call from Helen at Walmart informing me my order was ready. Since I had scheduled pickup for 1:00pm, I was a little confused, and I was concerned that my cold items and produce would be sitting there for 3 hours. I called Helen back, and she politely explained to this newbie that they keep all cold and fresh perishables refrigerated until you pick them up. She reassured me that as long as I pick up my order before 8:00pm, it's fine. So I left home around 1:10pm, called them at 1:20pm to let them know I'd be there at 1:30pm, and parked at 1:32pm in their designated pickup area. (I'll try to add a picture of their parking area for Grocery Pickup.) I called Helen to let her know I arrived, and she said they'd be right out. Helen came to my window and began to explain the substitutions they had to make (extremely minor - onions and potatoes) and that while I received more of those products than I ordered, I was charged the lower price I was quoted when ordering online. While she was going over my order with me, Seletha was unloading my groceries in the back of my car. The entire process from the time I parked until I was driving away took 7 minutes. Yes - 7 minutes for a car full of groceries, and I never left my car. I got back home before 2:00pm. It was cold outside, in the low 40s, and both Walmart associates, Helen and Seletha, were professional and very friendly. They had great attitudes and made the experience even better. So, kudos to those two and the great job they do. My final test of whether this was a successful and pleasant experience came when unloading and reviewing the groceries at home. Everything was perfect. Of course I worried about having someone else pick out my produce or the way they may have packed the groceries, and nothing was out of place. My produce was fresh (no bruising or wilting or nasty looking pieces) and the cut of meat I ordered looks fantastic. No broken eggs, either. Everything looks as though I chose it myself. As a busy mother of two kids under two years old, I will absolutely use this service again. read more

I am a very fair person however the customer service at this location is terrible. I pulled up with a tire that needed repair early Sunday morning. As 6 employees stood around laughing about something on one employees phone I was totally ignored. Once I was greeted I showed one employee the BMW tire in the back of my Expedition...He yelled at someone else in the car bay and that person instantly decided that today was not a good day for him. He yelled back he does not fix punctures...however he never looked at the hole. I asked him to come look at it and he flagged me away with his hand. I was furious as I walked away. Another employee came running up and apologized, young guy, and offered to get a manager. I told him I appreciate it but I would not allow that man to work on my tire so I am taking my business some where else. Everytime I come here I feel like I'm in the twilight zone or something, the employees are very kind and helpful here... it's so wierd!!! Walmart is usually overrun with disgruntled, angry employees. The pharmacy staff is very helpful as well, but very busy. The produce I've found is fresh enough and there is a good selection. It's taken me a while to understand the layout, but it makes sense. The only downside is that it is still a walmart, and will just always be an ordeal getting in and out of. read more

I love this Walmart! Not only is it in a great neighborhood, but it is extremely well organized. the employees have always been very friendly and helpful. When I was pregnant they had special parking up front I could use and they would always offer to help with my groceries. Now that I have my baby I tried the new Grocery Pick Up and I LOVE IT!!! I'm definitely going to use it all the time. I don't care that this particular location is further away, I'm willing to drive there and spend my money because the experience is the least stressful for the baby and I! This is about as good as a grocery store can get. it's also the best Walmart in the North Dallas area. I've been to all of them.....trust..this one is the best. I only visited this Walmart two times and they were quick grocery visits. I did not see the non-grocery side. First, the store is huge. My first visit was met with a smushed cockroach in the sliding entry door. It was right next to massive cardboard boxes of corn, stacked so high that the box was at my waist. All I could think of was, "How many more roaches are in those boxes right up against the door?" This massive show of corn just looked plain dirty as you enter. My second visit was in search of fresh pizza dough at 4PM on a Monday. The bakery had no help and the deli had two workers behind the counter. Super slow to help me with my question! They had no fresh or frozen dough. The peaches at the entrance were also in big boxes and it smelled I "un" fresh. I like Walmart, but had a bad experience with this one. read more

What a horrible experience! Went to Balch Springs Walmart to pick up a prescription and thought I would pick up a few needed items. Wanted to get socks for my grandson but went to the men's department and all the socks were on lock down! Not only that - asked the salesperson for help, and she started speaking Spanish to me! I didn't ask for her help in Spanish - so I'm thinking perhaps she's speaking rudely to me and how would I know. Long story short - spoke to customer service and all I got was people are stealing the socks .... really? And you think having an associate there would curb this behavior? I indicated to her there are other Walmarts that have locks but they open them and have salespeople to monitor the area. Needless to say - waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to unlock a door so I can purchase something is not anything I plan to experience again, and while I'm at it - will change my pharmacy as well! read more
