I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The store was clean and well stocked. Everything was easy to find. The checkout was effortless with plenty of registers open. The cashier was pleasant and patient with us on this visit. The bathrooms need some attention. I was shopping with my elderly mother and my 5-month-old baby a couple days ago. I spent over $300 purchasing bulky yard furniture, and as I was checking out, I was verbally assaulted by Anne, the cashier on aisle 13 and she shoved my mother. She yelled at me the moment I walked up to the checkout aisle. Anne, the cashier, stated " I could tell by the way you came up here that you were going to start a problem." When I asked for a manager to assist with the situation she shoved a children's pool that my mother was holding, knocking her off balance and nearly dropping the pool onto the stroller holding my baby. One of the team members stated that he would hold that employee accountable. He stated that her body language and mannerisms were not examples of providing good customer service during my experience. He stated he needed to see more camera angles before anything further could be done. I followed up today with the same leadership employee at the store to see what came out of the situation. Strangely, he said there are NO cameras at the check-out area that captured the angle that showed my mother being shoved. Just standing there, I counted at least 5 cameras. It felt more like they didn't want to admit that it happened. I was brought to tears once again having to explain the full situation and the terror I felt about my elderly mother possibly falling and hitting the hard floor or her dropping a large pool on my baby. Ok, so I went to the vision center for new glasses. The first couple times I went they didn't have an optician. No bueno. When he was there both he and his coworker were very rude. This Walmart is located right where Garner and Raleigh intersect so it could be an ideal location for individuals in either city. There is a huge parking lot located in front of the business. As with most Walmart locations there is usually a wait to check out many times when shopping at the store because only a few lanes are open. The prices are reasonable but sometimes the quality of the vegetables are not the best. This location is a super store so you can get anything from medication, food and clothes. read more

This is a the dirtiest, nasty, poorly stocked and disorganized Walmart I have EVER SEEN!!! There was return/restock full carts all over the place. 2 of the 3 items I went for were out of stock. Or just not on shelves. There were pallets of stock to be put on shelves every main aisle as well as junk" mixed up pallets and carts. Poor customer service. The shop manager Tino and Adrienne are absolutely the worst. I hadba tire installed and it went flat. So I took it in and that's when they started. He says there is no leak. I explained it went flat he the stated I told you it don't have a leak, but if you want there to be one I can put a hole in it. I asked for the department manager. I put in a delivery order Saturday with delivery for Sunday 12 to 1 block, paid the charges and now waiting 2 days for food. Sunday, at 1pm get email will be 2 hrs late, ok. Next, at 3pm still no order, I chat with customer service, who say I'll get it by EOD, BUT before ending the call it changes to get a refund, wait 10 business days to get funds(great if you have extra funds laying around). As I state unacceptable, I am offered pick up at 9 to 10 at night(note if I did a delivery why would I do pick up?) Next express delivery was offered for Monday at 8am. So chatted again, btw calling no response at store 2 days no answer. Chatted with customer service who gave 2 options. 1st- get a refund , oh but you have to wait 10 business days to get it back. Forget if you either need the food or the money, you are out of luck. 2nd ask for express delivery, well chose that and oh express, they might get it by EOD. Not guaranteed though. So don't use Walmart Garner unless you have no other option!! read more

It was early one morning at about 8 AM. The sun was peaking through the cloud as a light breeze blew in the air... Wait, this is not a mystery novel. So, I needed some batteries for my calculator because I had a Calculus III test in 2 hours, and I was on my way to school. I really didn't know many places in Garner that are open that early in the morning to get batteries. I would have done to the Dollar Tree, and bought a 4 pack for a $1. They are only for my calculator, and they last for over a semester. Well Wally-World was the only option. This was my first time in this Walmart. It was suprisinly spacious compared to the other ones. The staff was friendly. Since I had no clue as to where anything was, I asked somebody. I absolutely hate to provide negative feedback to a business especially during this crazy time in our country. However, I have had 4 extremely negative experiences in a row at this store. Today, however, was the caper. I placed a grocery order for online pickup a couple of days ago for pickup today at 9 AM. I received a text at 9 AM that said my order wasn't ready. It was ready at 9:40 AM so I drove to pickup my order. When I got there, I saw all 10 pickup spots were full. I decided to come back later. I came back and all 10 spots were full plus 10 spots behind the designated pickup spots. I sat and waited for an hour and saw about 4 people get their groceries. I finally decided to drive off. I don't think this is the fault of the employees (although they didn't seem to be too much to assist with the issue.). Rather absolute awful management, it seems like there were two employees working in an area that should have 10 employees. I even tried to call the store while I was sitting out waiting for my order in an attempt to talk to management about what was going on in the pickup area. I waited for 5 minutes on the phone to talk to someone and it just kept ringing with no human answering. It would be bad enough if this was an isolated experience, but I have had similar experience 3 other times in the past month. Went to Walmart today looking for plastic storage bins. We needed a particular brand, size, and shape that only Walmart carries, so other stores like Target were not an option. We're also on kind of a tight schedule. The first 4 Walmarts did not have what we needed, and one of them was closed early due to that location's failure to hire enough staff. But this location pulled through. It was actually open when it was supposed to be, had (at least some of) what we needed, and even had our favorite ice cream at a good price. read more

I just don't understand why they even try to do curbside pickup. I called this Walmart to see if their hours had changed due to the coronavirus shutdown. They told me they would be open until 8:30. I drove about 20 mins. Got to the front door at 8:11. The security guard wouldn't let me - or anyone else in. He said that although they were open until 8:30, they weren't letting anyone in after 8:15. If they were closing at 8:15, they should have said so. And even by their own messed up rules, they should have let us in. It was only 8:11. These guys wasted 45 minutes of my time. My wife encountered a nasty, lazy checkout lady with a foreign accent. She refused to do a price check on a dog bowl set and told my wife to get another one. (A poor idea with a busy checkout line and frozen food products already checked out.) She then refused to bag groceries in the bags my wife brought in and quickly started checking out the next customer forcing my wife to keep the orders separate. This seemingly unhappy person needs training in manners, customer service, and a willingness to cheerfully do her job correctly. (We will now purchase the dog bowl tray on Amazon.) read more

Despite the mandates 3/4 of the store customers are maskless. During busy times the customers fail to folow social distancing guidelines, I've seen the stockers maskless. I really wanna give this Walmart 0/5 stars. I was just doing my normal shopping and getting a few things for my prom. I had a bunch of stuff in my hands and didn't think to get a cart, so I would set my stuff on the floor to look at other items. Apparently that's their sign that I was stealing. I checked everything out and was on my way out and the store manager chased me down and asked to look in my bag. Alas, the layout of this Gall-mart is illogical enough to give Spock a conniption-- do not expect the various sections to be laid out in any reasonable sequence. A "convenient" skeevy bank is at the front of the store, whereas the useful "Site-To-Store" counter is all the way in the back. Also, have fun driving on the endless street to get to this consumer paradise, it's practically Capital Boulevard's little brother! I also worry about the security of this store because I saw a plethora of empty boxes loitering on shelves. Weird panhandlers for semi-official organizations harass entering shoppers and tacky low-rent businesses occupy the glamor of the strip mall near the Ball-mart. I have never felt more guilty, scared, ashamed all at once. I do not expect an upscale environment, but nor do I expect to be chased by pan handlers and con artists in the parking lot! Also, I was able to leave the store with several purchases that included un-bagged items (receipt in hand) and no one checked my cart or glanced in my direction?! HAHAHA, this is all too much. As an honest SUV-driving, flip flop wearing, good ole' 'Merican Yall-mart denizen I am quite simply, appalled! Do not: Order anything on site to store (they will take forever to arrive behind the counter) Enter this Fail-mart under any circumstances Order a donut Use the restroom Expect employees to be helpful Walk slowly in the parking lot( a mugging could occur right quick!) This review is after multiple poor experiences. This Walmart is usually well stocked and moderately clean. If you ask for help they are willing to ind the item or get someone who does. The concern for this Walmart is the cashier staffing. On the way home from work at about 11pm-1am there are far more customers than the cashiers can ring up. The last time I was in this Walmart there were only three cashiers and exceptionally slow movement of the lines. I waited 30 minutes to be cashed out. During the daytime this Walmart is adequate but still slow. During the night time it is worth driving an extra 10 minutes to avoid the hassle. read more
