A very busy and crowded store, almost like they had too much merchandise crammed into it. The prices are good, like they always are, but the store just didn't give a very good shopping experience. The other stores are more open and brighter, although this is in a good location with ample parking. There weren't very many houseplants or cactus and succulents. I'm a Meijer man and loathe Walmart in general. Rare is the occasion when I'll find myself in one of Sam Walton's stores. I think I've been in this store 3 or 4 times in 20 years and it's usually only to grab 2 or 3 things. Each time I think I should have gone to Meijer. I've also been in the Walmart in the Tech Center at 12 Mile and Van Dyke and it's the same feeling there, more or less, but the regret and disgust is much more palpable here. It wasn't as filthy and disorganized as it had been the previous two or three times I'd been in here the other night but this place still ain't winning any awards for cleanliness. The people here are ugly, both staff and customers, more so than the 12 and Van Dyke. Maybe that's mean, maybe it's superficial but sue me, it's friggin Yelp here. It's no accident there's that website People of Walmart. It feels like Idiocracy up in here. Just real dystopian vibes in general at this place. Cameras everywhere, inside and out in the parking lot. A mean looking cop was right inside the store last time I was in there at 10:30pm on a weeknight, eyeballing me as he swaggered by. I'm sure there's plenty around here to keep him busy so he kept walking. Turn the cameras off, let the cop go to the donut shop and let this hellhole burn to the ground. Just for giving me bad energy. I miss the old Farmer Jack that used to be here and just Farmer Jack in general. Go to Meijer at 13 and Little Mack. I don't normally shop Walmart, this one in particular because it's the worse of them. But they had an excellent deal (50%) on a video game that put it in budget for Christmas. Ordered for curbside, figured they couldn't mess it up. This one is closest to me. They emailed me that it was ready for pickup, I get there. Watch them help people that get there after me. After 10 minutes or so, finally get told they are having trouble finding the order. Some time after that they come out and say they pulled the game off the truck when it came in and just noticed it was broken. They don't have any others in stock. No raincheck so I can have the price when they come in. Have to cancel order and wait up 10 days for refund. Hopefully I can find it at another Walmart before the sale ends, or my kid can't have the 1 thing they asked for. I have to search since they can't even do that for me. read more

I don't go here anymore. I just drive out to the Walmart on Hall Road if I need anything from Walmart, which I try not to have to do anyway. However, I think my wife went here the other day just so that I could update my review. The only issue is that the rating hasn't improved at all. In fact, all of the comments are basically just confirmed and repeated: Workers are extremely rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. She said that twice she was walking and was literally run into by people who worked there and neither even cared enough to acknowledge it or even say "excuse me." That's really poor customer service. She had to ask multiple people for help and she said it seemed like each person just tried to "get rid of her" has fast as possible and passed her on to someone else. No good. read more

If I can avoid it, I try to stay away from this establishment. They are far from friendly customer service wise, this location often is not stocked, in complete disarray in all departments and is overall a complete nightmare even if you visit early morning on weekdays. Whether you shop there or order something to pick up there the experience from start to finish for me has always been negative or unprofessional. I would recommend driving a few miles more to the next Walmart personally. I hope one day this location revamps itself as it is a shame how unorganized and unpleasant it is. read more

Walmart I like this store because it is huge. I just wish you would put in a real total grocery department because this one is not the whole grocery department. You've got great cashiers here you've got really nice floor people. All those people in those yellow capes are helpful yep they are. One of the things I wish you would do though is make a place near the front of the store where people can actually get help when they don't know where to find something so that they don't have to try to ask everyone that they pass by to point them in that direction. Also could you please put Price scanners in the front of the stores or in every aisle with a big sign over them so all of this unmarked and markdown merchandise can be scanned for real prices before we get in the line and abandon it. I wish you were at a few more self-checkouts also because so many people use the self-checkout at this store it should have its own separate area. The two women who manage this area are absolute wonderful genies and you should give them not just a raise in salary but you should make them special people in the store because they help everyone with a smile. The security lady at the door is one of the best I have ever seen at any Walmart. She's helpful she's kind and she knows where everything is in the store. Please make sure you tell her what a great job she is doing. Walmart big up all your employees at this location because they are working double hard and they could truly use a raise. And about those chickens LOL why don't you cook double the amount rotisserie and put them up by all of the checkouts Because by the time I get there at 5 p.m. there is never any whole rotisserie chicken for me oh my LOL. This is a Walmart so this is pretty much what I expected when it comes down to customer service lol but anyway I finished checking out at the self scanner and there was a group of three employees standing near the exit chatting away. I had purchased quite a few appliances for my new home that were in my cart so I needed to have someone look over my receipt, which I held in my hand. They continued their conversation while looking right at me for close three minutes while I held onto my receipt and said "excuse me" politely about 5-6 times. They chose to ignore me lol. One annoyed employee finally grabs the receipt from my hand, doesn't even look at it and shoved it back while glaring at me. Sorry I ruined your conversation because you had to do your job lol. This location isn't safe and there are homeless people that'll follow you to your car if you tell them that you don't have anything for them. Go to the Walmart at 14 and van dyke for better service. The man at the door followed us all the way to the parking lot during the incident.... asking if we were going to clean up WATER I accidentally spilled. We did our best to clean with the few napkins we had AND put a CAUTION WET FLOOR sign over it which he saw!!! The line to subway was long and I figured the caution sign for the small amount left over would do. Before he even followed us out my boyfriend said do you have any more napkins we'd be happy to finish. The worst Wal-Mart I've ever been to. First of all, the parking lot is always a mess. Shopping carts are scattered everywhere and the cart returns throughout at full. I've been in this city 3 weeks and I already had a cart hit my car. What a great welcome. The aisles in the food section of the store are so narrow! It's impossible to stop and grab something without creating a pile up of traffic behind you. The staff also restock their shelves at the busiest times which just makes everything more hectic. The pharmacy here is the worst I've ever dealt with in my life. They never notify me when my prescriptions are ready to pick up and on multiple occasions they didn't process my medications even though they said it would take 30 minutes. read more

As of 1-18 I noticed it looked cleaner there wasn't aisles plugged jammed full so nothing had access there were carts in the corral for once I wasn't particularly blown away but from their typical reputation/standard but it's nice when you're looking for something and the less barriers between what you want and what you have to do to get it the more money people will spend so I see a spike in the upward trend from this experience good service happy people it's a mindset and it shows through all our work, stay positive read more

This store is pretty rough so if you can make the drive to one of the other locations, like the ones on hall road, I would do so. The store is very unorganized and messy. Things are all over the place and I have found it rather difficult to find things even when the website states that it is in stock. The employees aren't really the friendliest either. I walked past multiple employees today and not a single one even acknowledged anyone's existence. When I went to check out today I told the cashier thank you and to have a great day and was completely ignored. When I called the store to inquire about non-grocery pick-up, I was told by Customer Service to call the number on the parking-space sign and tell them you want outside pick-up for your non-grocery order. This one is a pit. Only reason I went was to get a cable for a printer. The department was a total mess. Trying to find someone to help was hard. When I did the kid led me to a spot and it was a small display of cables between printer cartridges. Very disappointing. Cost of cable was good so that's why I rated a 2-star. This store on Gratiot and 12 mile in Roseville is dirty and pallet all stacked up and down, at least 10 isles that I saw and people could not get down the isle to shop. I don't know how they stay open and sell enough to keep the store open, and the only isles that are not stacked with pallets is the grocery isles. read more

I hope that you take the time to read this review because its very important that people know what happened to me. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE REGARDING THE SCANNER LAW. At 12 mile and Gratiot Roseville WalMart. I am posting so it doesn't happen to you. Yesterday I was over charged for a item and I noticed the mistake on my way to the exit. I went to customer service and the same associate who tried to steal from me the first occasion was surprisingly the same associate that helped me during my most recent visit. She refunded me the over charge and then I watched as she printed a confirmation receipt for the bounty I requested and crumbled it up and threw it in the trash can behind her and then she said that the "SYSTEM" no longer gives the $5 bounty and I have to call "Home Office". I then requested to speak with a supervisor and she left for 15 minutes, came back and said she was busy. I said no problem I will wait. About 30 seconds later she said she was now able to give me the requested bounty......AMAZING. Flashback 6 months ago and I had two over charged items on my bill, I went to customer service and the same associate provided me with the refund for the overpayment and said "you have to submit online for your bounty. Now here is what made me upset. I watched as she printed out TWO bounty confirmation receipts and handed one to a associate next to her. That associate walked over to the grab and go hot food and came right back and handed the bounty receipt back and said "YOU GOT ME" and my associate said yes. Then right in front of me I watched a purchase receipt for the chicken print out and then she crumbled it up and threw it away. This was something that was done in a way that was disguised and swift and most wouldn't notice the fraudulent activity because it was done so well. This THEFT I fear is a common occurrence. I called shortly after my experience and spoke with the store manager who promised that he would address the problem and it wouldn't happen to anyone else. WHY IS IT OK FOR WalMart ASSOCIATES TO STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY IS THIS STILL HAPPENING? If you like being greeted by the smell of marijuana, THIS IS RIGHT UP YOUR ALLY!!! This location is ALWAYS a mess and the staff are rude. There are long check out lines, probably because there are only 3 open at 4 p.m. If you want to go to the self checkout, prepare to wait for a while, grab a chair or a magazine. :) The shelves are never stocked or organized. Also, have fun finding a basket when you need one. This location is VERY, VERY ghetto. The parking lot is FULL of trash. I don't think I've ever had a decent visit here... E V E R! I went in a few days ago for bra shopping and when I walked over to the fitting rooms to try them on, one of the employees RUDELY informed me that I was not allowed to. HEY! If your grocery shopping and looking for your favorite creamer, I can guarantee it won't be there! This place is truly an extension of the Detroit outskirts! All the other reviews are spot on. Everything about it is disgusting, and worse, it feels very dangerous to go here any time of day, regardless of whether you're with other people (I wouldn't say that casually), mostly due to the shady way other people look at you. I've lived in this area my whole life, and I can't say there's anywhere else north of Detroit I "wouldn't go" out of fear of getting attacked or mugged. I've felt out of place and unwelcome the handful of times I decided to suck it up and run in to get what I needed instead of driving to the location on 94/Hall Rd. (which is 180 degrees better, no exaggeration). It is true that the store is completely disheveled on the inside; items are out of place, strewn about; shelves where products should be stocked are empty; packages are damaged, open, things are missing from inside them, and it's dingy, physically dirty, and poorly-lit. It almost has to be seen to be believed. I have actually encountered some friendly employees here--especially the greeter and cashiers--and some of them just seem like they're stuck in a bad situation. If Walmart is worried about its reputation (I've seen their ads lately--they're definitely on "damage control" mode with showing how "fulfilled" their employees are, etc.), they need to take a look at this sh*thole--actually come here sometime, anytime, and just have a look and a sniff around. 8-21-17 Ordered NBA 1/2 sheet cake. First they told I only could pick a Michigan team when before I ordered a Golden State cake. Then the cake didn't look like too much of nothing.
