Went to the hair salon in this place to get my son's haircut, he has super curly hair. It was frizzy too and the lady looks at his hair and says it's matted . He had just washed it and combed it before coming to get his haircut. She just seemed like she didn't want to do it because of the texture. She said she was gonna charge a fee to detangle it which it wasn't and was gonna charge $70 for it plus the $20 for the haircut. I couldn't believe it! She just didn't want to do her job. We grabbed something from grocery and headed out and on the way out we seen her in front of the Mirror dyeing her own hair! Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I had been to two Walmarts prior to this location and the first location the bakery's image printer wasn't working, the second location they cancelled my order a day before the party. I go in to see if I can place a cake order last minute and although their image printer was down as well, they did everything to help me get the cake I was needing with modifications but I was happy with what they worked something out for me that I was happy about! Electronics team, customer service, & main manager are rude and not helpful. First off, DO NOT PURCHASE a tv or electronics here because they will come damaged 99.9% of the time. I was in the process of returning my 3 damaged tv, as it was delivered AS A GIFT TWICE. We purchased the 3rd tv in store (3rd time is the charm) and screen was damaged when we turned it on so we returned it the very next morning. They would not accept it as the serial number was not matching which was crazy and confusing because we took the same tv out and back in the SAME box. Manager in unprofessional clothing (an alcohol/whiskey hoodie and NO NAME TAG) was refusing return and walked away from us when talking and just told us to call the manufacturer because it was not Walmarts fault. Now he is forcing the customer fix Walmarts mistake of not checking the serial numbers or we lose out on hundreds. Not to mention he gave us the wrong number for the tv manufacturer so we had to look it up just for them to tell us that it is Walmarts fault and they need to solve it. I took back my tv and went to a different Walmart to return that same tv he was refusing and the girl returned it without even checking it out, HAHA Juan. Ridiculous. read more

So, to begin, let me just say, when I'm frustrated I can be somewhat of a disgruntled "A"hole. So at the automotive department, first I offer my apologies again. Evidently, it is the policy of Walmart to have to check and make sure a battery is bad before they can look up and see if it is still under warranty. Not going to lie, this process baffled and think Walmart should make some tweaks to their policy. Anyway, the poor guy at the counter had to feel the brunt of my dissatisfaction all I wanted to know was if my battery was under warranty, if not I'll just buy one and be on my way(I had already had it tested). Yes it took a little longer than I thought it should, but they were working, I did have to come back 3 times to check the progress...I was getting more frustrated, but not at the guy behind the desk, at their fricking "test policy". But after almost 2 hours, guess what, come to find out my 3 year warranty expired two weeks ago. Enough to gut anyone ,especially after the wait to be told its expired(dumb policy of walmart). But...instead of making the pissed off customer just buy another battery, they wanted appease the old disgruntled man and checked to see if they could get it warranties even though expired 2 weeks ago...guess what, they got it done, they got me a new battery under my expired warranty when they didn't have to or when most probably wouldn't have even tried....so to them, I say thank you and great customer service and handling of a disgruntled customer. read more

This is the worse experience one can have. I took an appointment to get my car's tires changed at 1. I was asked to come at 12.25 which I did. After giving my information and everything I gave my car at 1 and was told that I will get a call once tires will be changed. Upon my inquiry I was told thag it can take 1 hour to 1 hour 20 mins. I did not a call. I went back after 1 hour 25 mins and they haven't evem started working on my car. People showed complete unawareness of my car and showed no respect. Not even said a word sorry or something. If I wouldn't have walked up to them after an hour and 20 mins they wouldn't have started the work. I have gotten so much here and although this store isn't my primary or secondary store I often end up here should I need something the other stores are out of or do not carry. I also use the curbside pickup (since 2018). There are limitations of what you can get depending on when they stock, who is selecting your items, and what is going on at the time that you pick up. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am tired and pregnant and work all day. I put in a delivery order and the item was still in the security box. I called the customer service for walmart.com asking how I can open it and they kept saying they can't look up orders their site isn't working. IM NOT ASKING YOU TO LOOK UP MY ORDER JUST HOW TO OPEN THE BOX. He refused to help. I had to drive to the store and get it opened and demanded a refund on my delivery fee. Convenient location for me since I live nearby. It's on Dezevala and 1604. It's a typical Walmart. One nice feature is that it has a McDonalds and a Tire & Lube. I always come here when I need to get my oil, tires or battery changed. Hi: I want to speak to some about what happened to me and my partner at Walmart 5555 De Zavala Rd San Antonio Texas. I am a Doctor and I went to buy some alcohol and one of your employees and the manager didn't want to sell me alcohol because my partner did not have an ID. I was buying the alcohol with my credit card and I have my ID, they still don't want to sell it to me the alcohol, because the person that was with me didn't have the ID. That doesn't matter, that is discrimination against us, and I want to make a complaint about it. This was very disrespectful. I don't like grocery shopping at Wal-mart anymore, it really stresses me out that on a Saturday (when most people shop) they only have like 10/30 of their lanes open. When you have a small child, shopping can be awful, but it makes it even worse when you have to wait 20 minutes in the line to get checked out. Some employees are friendly while others aren't friendly at all. Overall, everything in this Wal-mart is nicely organized. I like when the garden center entrance is open and I only need something from that side of the store, I don't have to wander through the grocery area or near the front check outs if I just need to be in and out fast. The clearance section they've implemented over the past few months is fantastic. You can find it near the check-outs in front of the women's clothing. Lots of cereals, canned items, etc. for extremely cheap. I once got name-brand cereal for $1.00 per box, no reason why - they were just clearing out cereals and we got really lucky! Needless to say, I have a year supply of cereal in my pantry. You just have to go at the right time! I've been shopping here for many years since I moved to San Antonio, so this Wal-mart is my favorite since I know where everything is and know everyone who works there. I ordered a new TV online and it was ready for pick up the next day (Friday December 30th 2016). It was a smooth transaction. When I went to pick up the TV, the guy had it on a cart, and was going to follow me to my car. He was extremely careless, smashing the cart into aisles really hard, and finally when we got close to the exit the TV fell off the cart and made a huge noise that many turned around to look. The worker seemed very embarrassed and sorry. We went back to get another TV and I felt I couldn't trust him anymore. He came out of the stockroom struggling carrying the 50 inch TV by himself. Even the box itself shows 2 people are supposed to carry it because of its weight. It made me feel like he probably dropped it in the back or hit it against something while struggling to bring it out. As we went to the car again he was hitting the cart against things again and being careless that I had to hold the TV on the cart because this guy didn't care and was in a hurry. Hopefully my TV isn't messed up. I regret not speaking to a manager when all of this happened. read more

The major downside is the McD's inside, spewing off bong water scented plastic food as soon as ya walk in. The good news is that there is another entrance. Walmart. I know, I try like I am sure you do as well to spend my money locally, but sometimes Walmart is the winner of my credit card swipe. Dare I say that I LOVE the fall line of candles at Walmart - Spiced Apple, Cinnamon and more are super fragrant and very affordable. Every start to the fall you can find me picking some up, I don't really care for any of their line of fresh summer scents, but the fall candles are winners. We have also found Walmart has worked for bike gear and select room accessories. For instance, lamp shades and stands are sold a la carte, build your own! Staff here have always been nice, from the checkers to the greeters. The parking lot is often a zoo and a mess too and there is a panhandler problem surrounding the property. If you can get past that and do a bit of digging and research, you can totally find a good deal on select products at this Walmart. read more
