Maybe I came at the wrong time, or maybe my mistake was going inside. Starting with the positive: this is my go-to location for drive-up pickup. I don't think I've ever had a mix up on my order. They shop quickly and pickup is always a breeze. This is why my in-store experience is baffling to me. The store just looked chaotic. Things were blocking aisles, items were misplaced everywhere, nothing seemed to match up to the labels on the shelves. Looking for a body wash and nearly every single bottle of the brand I was looking at was opened and pumped with soap spilled over the bottles. I managed to find one out of 10 maybe that hadn't been opened. That's nuts! I guess the other positive is that I eventually found what I needed. I likely stick to the drive-up option. read more

Awesome Target location! Large selection inside a very nice store. They have a big Hearth and Hand section which is really nice. I went during December and their holiday section had a lot of products. They also have a fully separate area in the parking lot for Drive up pick up, which I have never seen before. Seems like they would bring your items out quickly and I saw several Drive up shoppers throughout the store. Registers were staffed ok, short wait on a weekday during the holiday season. Stopped here because our kid couldn't find the toy item they wanted at Ross and TJMAXX. Target came through and had it! While here, we swung by the food side and planned to grab some more of the keto cereal we bought at our local Target. Unfortunately, they didn't carry the same flavor here (boo). One might argue that a Target is a Target, but I beg to differ when it comes to the location at the RIM. Take for instance: * There is a fireworks show every night, courtesy of nearby Six Flags Fiesta Texas (#1) and this parking lot is a good one to view it from. * The rest of the RIM looks deserted after 8pm at night but Target is one of the few places that is still open and teaming with people left and right. * This Target is lit, literally. Some of the Super Targets could be mistaken for Walmarts, but this one is as bright on the outside as it is blinding on the inside. Similarly to a casino, you never really know if it's day or night until one goes outside. Prices are often fairly good and most things are in stock most of the time. I appreciate that they have price checking stations and stuff is fairly easy to find. Parking is also a cinch, but spaces get filled up quick. Their produce is not my favorite, but that's also consistent with most Target locations. While the place is bustling with staff, they have to be some of the slowest folks ever when it comes to check out, online order + pickup, and especially returns. It almost doesn't matter what time it is, there's almost always a line coming out of returns / self check-in. Perhaps that's strategy to keep folks from returning things? This is my go to target in town! One of my favorite aspects of this location is that they always seem to have plenty of my size in stock which saves me from driving around town to another location or having to order online. The staff is super friendly and eager to help. Restrooms are clean and so are the carts. The drive up option from the app is super convenient for me and they are super fast every time. read more

Okay, to be fair if--okay, when--the zombie apocalypse happens, Target is the one store I would like to defend from zombie dominance. Target is my one stop shop, and without it, I'd be lost. But not all Targets are built the same. I have been in scattered, dirty, disorganized Targets. I have been in Targets that do not seem to frequently restock. This is not one of those Targets. It's bright (as bright as a fluorescent lit store can BE) and clean and welcoming. Items are kept stocked, staff is generally friendly and helpful. And...AND! There is a Starbucks inside. read more

This target was fairly clean, family bathroom was clean. I couldn't find the boys clothes but I was able to find the little girl section and I honestly did not like the selection. The cashier PATRICIA was very rude. I got in the line I said hello before she stared ringing me up. She did not say anything so I said hello 2 more times. The third time she said hello. Nothing more. I said you Patricia are you having a bad day ? She goes yes I don't like flowers, I told her I hope her day gets better. My hands were full when I was at the register with groceries and my kids and holding the baby. I placed the baby down for 2 seconds on the thing that you place groceries on and the grumpy old woman working the register (Patricia) yelled and was extremely rude. Made my experience at the store awkward and uncomfortable. There are more professional ways to carry oneself and this cashier clearly shouldn't be in a line of work exposed to customers. Definitely not coming back here. It's a shame because I liked the fruit at this location. I guess I'll be going to Whole Foods instead. read more

The service was great! First time to try drive-up pick-up and I liked it. It was easy to shop online and picking it up couldn't be easier. Contactless and even talk less since the app indicates not to roll down the window on my car. Just shown the pick-up code on my phone and they open my my unlocked trunk and there it goes. I could still feel their warm smile even behind their mask. I'll use this service again next time I need it. read more

I am a 54 year old guy who only wanted to celebrate being with family visiting us from abroad. So we decided to visit Target to get a 12 pack of beers. At the register the cashier asks for ID and I show him my foreign passport. So he replies that they cannot sell me the beer because I need to have a Texas Issued ID. What ??? So the cashier calls the manager and so she says exactly the same thing. I was jaw dropped not being able to believe what I just heard!! So you're a foreigner with a passport and cannot get alcohol because you need a Texas ID. ??? I felt discriminated because of this incident honestly. I could have never believe this policy from Target and the managers that enforce it. I will tell as many as I know about my bad experience with this specific Target and Target in general. Ordered summer shorts online with in store pick up. When I got there I mentioned that I'd like to try them on to make sure of size and fit. They said ok but that they needed to assign someone to escort me to the changing rooms, supervise me there, then escort me back to the front of the store. Employee led me to the changing rooms and passed me off to the store manager at the changing rooms. I found it humiliating to have to wait in a line of customers for an available changing room, while they all stared at me wondering why I had needed to be singled out and closely supervised by the store manager. It was all I could do to not break down in tears, I explained to the store manager that I've never shop lifted in my life, no intentions of starting today over a $19 pair of jean shirts, have no criminal record. She apologized about judging a book by its cover, but remained on her watch post. The day before I'd shopped at the Loft and later today at Talbots where they both made me feel welcome and appreciated. The Target brand has lost me as a customer. read more

This store use to be the best and cleanest in town. Came here on Saturday before Easter and used the restroom. Two male stalls were flooded and no hand soap. my wife informed me none of the female bathrooms had paper. I looked at the sign offs and they look like scribbles that have been there for a while. I prefer this Target to others mainly because of the location and because the employees don't seem as distracted. Usually when I'm wandering around a Target I find the employees talk about their private lives a little too much, and loudly. However, the employees at this store seem more professional in keeping their conversations private or at an inaudible level which I appreciate. Also, they were more attentive than at other locations because I was actually asked if I needed help! I've gone to stores where I've been completely ignored, once even by the cashier who failed to say one word during the transaction! They have groceries at this location so that's a plus. They also have a pharmacy and Starbucks. The people are attentive and the store seems organized. My only tiny complaint is that they only had two cashiers my last visit and the lines were pretty darn long. It took them a while to get another register open, but other than that I think this location is great :) read more

It's a newer store, all things considered, than why does it seem as if it was renovated as an afterthought? Nearly everything is hard to find, except for clothing which is the first section you see upon entering. Everything else is a bit of a guessing game. Well, I suppose if you look left you can see greeting cards and what appears to be make up, skin care or hair care. But man, you'll need some help if you are looking for housewares, car needs, cleaning supplies - Halloween candy! Gah. So you know for next year, they keep it at the back of the store. The store is clean though, items are not strewn about but instead are orderly. There is a family restroom, which is super helpful when shopping alone with baby. I find that the check out lines are well attended by staff and seem to move pretty quickly. But after winding my way through the store to find what I need it seems as if the time saved at check out is a wash. read more

This is the most disgusting Target I have ever been to in fact it's the most disgusting store I have ever been to in my life. I'll start off by saying the carpet near the exit of the store needs to be replaced ASAP, I don't know if it's mold causing it or what but it REEKS of vomit and is sticky when you walk on it. It smells like sour vomit that has been sitting in the sun and I gag every time I leave the store, yes it really is that bad. Second, the store is consistently a mess as if a tornado has made its path straight through the store. There is stuff thrown all over the floor, I went to buy shoes and a purse but couldn't even walk through the aisle because of how bad it was. Another thing, we purchased a comforter set only to find out after we laid it on our bed that it was covered in stains and I mean covered. Yellow, reddish brown and crusty white stuff all over the comforter... I don't even want to know. When we returned it we politely let the employee know how nasty it was and they didn't even acknowledge it or check the comforter their words were "okay and would you like a receipt?". You'd think being in a popular shopping center and near the Dominion that this would be a nice clean Target like they usually are but this place is real gross. I really hope this location gets new management because this is bad. read more

Pretty annoying when half the aisles are empty because they're restocking and when you do find something you need, it's impossible to get to with the stacks of stuff in front of everything. Very disappointed that my daughter was unable to look at what she wanted! I'd think that coming up with a day to stay later to restock. That's what I did when I worked at Starbucks! This target is shady when it comes to collectibles/electronic items(stuff people like to flip). They stated they didn't have the item I was looking for when I called this morning and then a few hours later somebody posted the items for resale and that they got them from here 15minutes ago. Management there is doing a poor job if they are not aware of this and are allowing it to happen. I couldn't find what I needed but a representative helped me and when the price didn't match what was online, took me to customer service to get a price match. The agent at the CS counter was very professional and helpful showing me how to use the app to purchase it and have it waiting for me when I got there. read more

I prefer this Target compared to all of the other San Antonio locations. Even though I live downtown, I don't mind making the trip for the good experience. Today, I went shopping for last minutes gifts for my students. I found a particular item I wanted, but I needed 20, and they only had 18. After calling a few other Targets who didn't have any more stock of the item, one informed me that the Rim location had more than what I saw. I spoke to a team member by the name of Greg and according to his device, they did. It said they were out on the floor, and not in the back. Even with it being the week before Christmas and the store was fairly busy, he still went to the back to check just in case their system was wrong. Sad they didn't have any more, so I walked out with something else. My point is that it's hard to find that quality customer service anymore, especially with the holidays upon us. Target could not pull an online order in 3 hours it was not ready when I arrived to pick it up! They were willing to lose the sale than take the minute to go back and pull it! It was a Black Friday special so why would you not staff accordingly! The associate handling the online transaction was not at all professional! The bathrooms are disgusting so close to the same hygiene level as Porto potties. The ground is covered in dirt and water and the toilet have pee and hair all over them and haven't been cleaned for weeks it looks like. The store has zero music playing and even Walmart does? It's a love hate relationship! They have really cute items and can sometimes find really great stuff on clearance. Makeup and anything else is usually an arm and a leg. I try to buy groceries or anything not on sale here because I feel like I'm getting ripped off. It is pretty convenient and I never have to wait in long checkout lines! Parking is alright!
