This review isn't about Walmart in store purchases. This is mainly about my experience ordering online for delivery at home & curb side pick ups. With curb side- Items were missing from my order a few times, called the customer service number and they refunded it. Not a problem but defeats the purpose of why I ordered it to be picked up by the curb because now I had to make that trip to get the items anyways. Moving along. I placed an order for 3 items online giving them a benefit of the doubt once again to have it delivered at home but to my surprise, these items were scheduled to delivered at 3 separate times, honestly, news to my ears because why would I want 3 different deliveries for one order that was placed together and they were small items to begin with. Had I known this prior, I'd not bother ordering. First item arrived, with no issues. Great. What can go wrong now right? Wrong! 2nd item was delivered past 6pm and was left outside of my apartment complex on the entrance gate. Yes no contact, no phone call from the delivery person whatsoever to even make it to my unit. He just left it there and left. I found out about this particular delivery after, a pic was sent on my phone about it being delivered. I mean, who leaves a package at a gate? Regardless, I walked around the complex, hoping it was still there but of course, someone must have picked it up being it was on the outside of the complex. Frustrated, I reached out to customer service yet again and they refunded my money and this is when I was informed that Walmart uses 3rd party delivery services so, somethings are out of they control but they are sorry for the "inconvenience " Cherry on the cake. I received a text the next day about my last delivery being delayed so I tired to cancel the last item because by now, I had enough of them but then I was hit with "cancellation may not be guaranteed" but "you'll get a response in 48 hours"- so basically they said- "You paid for your item to get it on time" but now, you have to wait for what's convenient for us? Seriously, wth is going on with their online and delivery services? As a customer, who frequently purchases at Walmart being it's close to where i live, I can definitely say I will not be using online anything at Walmart anymore after my last item is delivered. Thanks but no thanks. Way too many issues. read more

I just have to acknowledge the Apple pie at Walmart Bakery. It actually tastes homemade and I'm guilty of buying this pie multiple times in the last couple weeks. The pie that I am referring to is the larger apple pie, the smaller one which is the size that most stores carry, I can't comment on that one, but the larger apple pie is the one that taste amazing. The apples are crisp. They taste a little tart. It just tastes really good and if you wanna add a little special, something put it in the oven for maybe 10 or 15 minutes and then put some ice cream on top of your piece and you'll love it. The Walmart of my dreams! I love going to this Walmart. Not only because of the pretzels but because it's always so nice and clean whenever I go. The staff are always nice when I walk in/walking around the store. I love how they are all always happy to help when i need it. They are always stocked so whenever J go, i always get more than what I came in for haha. I definitely go here every week to get groceries and i won't be stopping anytime soon! read more

Handicap Parking!!!! Why have signs out that there will be fines for parking in the handicap area without a placard? You have security and they do nothing!!!!! Hold people accountable for parking in spaces reserved for the disabled. I'm sitting here now two cars no placard in the handicap area. It's not fair, fix it or take the fine sign down. Managers refuse to open glass enclosed display for items such as socks, pajamas, and a couple of other items. 25 minute wait and no show, 3 other families ended up walking away to. F Walmart especially when the store thinks I'm there or others are in the store to steal socks. F the lazy managers and F the lazy employees who refuse to page a manager to the men's apparel depth. F walmart. F the lazy employees. F the Walmart website that displays misleading prices on products that are sold at a higher price on the store. F WALMART. I came back the next day and a nice manager allowed me to pick the items I needed from the display case. Employees at the check out need to pay attention to their customers. I was calling to ask for help and this lady was on her phone. She was just across the register I was using. She didn't even responded and continue whatever she was doing on her phone. A gentleman was walking towards me and ask him for help. Nicely he approached and help me. To improve Walmart customer service, they shouldn't be using their phone in front of the customers. Chatting by self service check out, they still need to focus on customers. I've seen some customers walked out without paying or paying just half of their items (groceries etc) and will go out when there's a lot of customers done paying so they won't get check out in the exit door (smart). They will walked out without stopping. And guess what??? Employees are/were still chatting. Might as well take out the self check out and put those lazy employees to work. There seems to be leadership at this Walmart who is focusing on friendly customer service and I have benefitted from that on my last two visits to the location. The cashiers are being super friendly. The folks on the floor ask if you need any help when you are looking around. Today, as I was standing in line an employee approached me with this lovely little bag of candy with a sweet note inside. To any Walmart employee at this location who reads this and takes this customer service approach seriously, know that you are doing a great job even if you are faced with a challenging customer. You will find, especially during those challenging times, when you rise to the occasion and stay with your customer service goal, you will feel amazing. My sister ordered my niece's birthday cake a week ahead of time. Yesterday was my niece's birthday. Usually when we order cakes, they'd show us but they didn't. When my sister brought it home, it looked like this. It looks like a very inexperienced baker or regular Walmart employee made this. The cake was not even leveled whatsoever, it was all loppy and crap. The writing and decorating was SH*T! Honestly seems like a damn 6 years old did this. We've never got a crappy cake like this before. WTF is going on Walmart?!?! If we wanted a cake to look like this, we'd have all the kids make it. Better to get your cake else where. Another perfect zero for Walmart. This place doesn't even try. Let me explain. I wanted some carabiner clips. I walked to their camping section and voila the carabiner clips are locked up. Are you serious? I pushed the button and waited. I pushed the button again and waited and waited and waited. I waited until I saw an employee. Lucky for me she had the key. The employee got my items and proceeded to put them in an anti-theft box. Do I look like a damn criminal? I am treated like a thief. Now I am wandering around the store looking like a damn criminal with carabiner clips. Two packs of clips valued at $6 bucks. This is how Walmart treats their customers like a darn thief. Unacceptable! It gets better. I went to the self check out and the nice girl removes the carabiner clips from the locked anti-theft box. Instead of handing them to me to scan, she asked to scan them for me. Are you serious? I'm not a damn thief. You don't trust me enough to scan the carabiner clips? Shame on you Walmart. Walmart is Walmart - Sometimes shopping and service can be great, while sometimes not. It is what it is. Still, we are too blessed (with so many walmart shopping locations) to be stressed :-)! This is one of the newest, biggest, and cleanest walmart I've been to so far. Each aisle is so spacious! The place is quite big that I had a hard time finding the Sporting Goods, Arts/Crafts, or any other areas, without asking a staff or lots of walking detours & U-Turns as if trying to find my way around a maze. They had signs but wish each sign would have been higher up for better visibility from a distance. Currently, can only see each sigh if close enough. If far away, then the height of each aisle/shelf pretty much blocks the view, rendering you continued lost in trying to find your way around the store. read more

I hear stories about Stockton that you know..... this and that... but I gotta tell ya..... I'm pretty impressed with the City of Stockton so far. They have greatly improved and what's also really cool, I had a great experience at this Walmart. And take it from me as I don't shop at Walmart often, but I am slowly warming up to the idea especially shopping online which I also think it's a great experience. First of all - this Stockton Walmart is G I N O R M O U S !! I could walk around the whole store and get a solid cardio workout. The only thing that is missing.... are those free samplers from Costco so I don't have to pay for lunch or dinner. Secondly - they have a full supermarket. Everything that you can find at Trader Joe's, Safeway, Wholefoods, you can pretty much find it here, and cheaper!! Plus, you can order from your phone, drive by to pick them up, and they will even load it in your trunk. Thirdly, - if you love technology like I do - you can get lost in their electronic aisles and just push your cart like an ole lady from aisle to aisle until you remember what you came in for. But seriously - kudos to Walmart for really stepping up their "A" game for really improving their customer service. Yes, you still have to deal with well you know a few staff who are well you know.... but the wait is not that bad anymore since Walmart implemented self checkout, as compared to the Walmart of yesteryear where no one cared. I also read somewhere that Walmart is working on installing kiosk stations where it will automate your online pickup order, and even gift wrap your package. It's like having a giant robot inside the store. Lastly, Walmart is really jumping on technology. They now accept Samsung Pay and all other mobile payments. You can also now checkout anywhere in the store if you see a staff holding a device so you can skip the line all together and breeze right through the exit. ....As the old Walmart used to say "Watch for Falling Prices," now all you have to remember, the new Walmart wants you to remember...."Save Money. 8/23/2021 (Delivery) *Highly Not Recommended* Just got a delivery today from Walmart and in the pictures I have just posted to this review. I am wondering, *Coming from 16 years of experience working from a restaurant* Do these 2 products I just received look restaurant worthy? Would you like to receive this kind of product from a company that promotes the selling of fresh product? Not only is that false advertisement, but this type of situation has the potential to cause harm to an individual putting their life at risk with the possible exposure of Molds, Bacteria's or other harmful Pathogens etc. There are procedures in place for a reason so we could avoid such mistakes. You as a place for people to come and shop or get deliveries from, need to do more training in food safety, product date checking, making sure there's a final check of product before leaving the store. I have personally dealt with and was witness of OSHA doing their work with a place that did not follow right health procedures. This is a health issue that you have just served to my door today. I as a frequent customer of yours am not pleased in the slightest, especially with how much I had to pay out of pocket for the products I need. I would recommend that you pick up the pace and begin the training of your employees now before something really happens and you get shut down for health risk issues. read more

Even though I told my mother about my curbside experiences with this location, she decided to take her chances. She checked into the app on her phone as soon as she arrived. 20 minutes passed by, and the employees kept serving other cars that arrived after her. Then, she literally had to call over one of the team members to assist her. One of the employees had a rude disposition because of my mother grabbing their attention. BUT, what do you expect if a customer has been sitting there for so long without help? After 30 minutes of waiting, her order finally came out to the car. When she got home, she was missing two items from her order. She was also charged for an item even though she asked for a refund. Since this location usually never answers the phone, she called the customer service line through the 1-800 number. Luckily, they took care of her refund. Please save yourself from using the curbside service. It's that terrible. If you want better service, go to the Lodi's location. read more

A new gripe, Walmart is going the opposite direction of good customer service. The self checkout is ridiculous! There is the one side for regular customers and a side for "Spark Drivers" or "Scan and Go" customers. Today was the first day I saw any one using the "Spark /Scan" side. There are always approximately 9 open registers on that side while we wait in a line for "regular" customers. This is why we are weaning ourselves off of Walmart. That, and the fact that we always have to wait for 5-10 minutes to get product unlocked! Lock up Bar soap, really!? We gotta get outta this state. read more

I stopped going to this Walmart 3 or 4 years ago because I was treated really rude. I don't know why I decided to go back to this store. I just went to this store and it was a mess. Just about all the soaps, meds and personal items were locked up. You couldn't find anyone to open the cabinets. An employee came down the aisle that I was on and opened a cabinet and got an item out. I asked her if she could open the cabinet where I was standing so I can get an item and she told me NO I'M WORKING AN ORDER. She didn't even bother to call someone who could open it. I actually had several items I needed to get out of the locked cabinets and couldn't. I would have left this store with a cart full of items but I couldn't because I couldn't get in these cabinets. Don't bother pushing a button. Almost pointless. I ended up at Target. Not going back to this Walmart. It was once nice. I was going to this Walmart from Lathrop. The last few trips getting produce has been horrible. They given us raspberries with mold on it and a zucchini with a smashed fly! Most people would say pick your own produce and they would not be wrong after this experience. However it speaks more to the quality of the produce department to leave things like that on the shelves in the first place. Be wary of the produce there. read more

I'm very disappointed at the customer service that received from Josh. I called the store before coming as well as looked it up online and both states the store was closing at 6pm do to it being Christmas. Josh was very rude and disrespectful and refused to let me in the store at 5:45pm stating they closed at 5:30. I assured I called and the recording and Walmart staffed member told they closed at 6pm. Been going there for several years and have been watching the service getting worse and worse. Went to the Trinity Pkwy Walmart last night and forgot to take the plastic bags with us so we bought 4 bags. The cashier, maria or Mary, at check stand 1 was scanning the items and bagging them when my wife looked into the bag and Maria said, very rudely and with an attitude, " I'm not done yet" then turned the bag away and after she did it the second time I walked over and started looking into all three bags and she said nothing to me. After paying and walking away we informed 3 "team leads" what had happened and the young man called her by name and said she's always like that and my response was"if you know she's like that and is rude to customers why not move her somewhere else or have her do something else"? but they just looked at me like I'm stupid. I'm rating their customer service right there with the Walmart on North main Street in Manteca. This was the 3rd time in 3 weeks I have come to this location, cart half full, I go to the self check out, no body around that can ring up Alcohol or unlock things that are in security cases! This location used to have several workers in the self check out area to separately scan all Alcohol & also locked cases at self check out. The one today was a minor & said he can't & that their's body there to do this! Really? The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because some of the employees are absolutely amazing, so amazing that they should be hired on at better places because this store does not deserve them. First, this store is terrible at keeping things in stock, even before the pandemic. It's like they run out and just forget about it. Second, the grocery pickup.... Omgoodness. This is my main reason for a negative review. I can't tell you how many times we've ordered and had items that weren't available only to find out they WERE! I know this because I called and confirmed that the item was in stock as I was waiting for my order. And a couple times I've driven to the store just to see if they do in fact have it and guess what, they do. I'm so sick of this. They've forgotten beer more times than I care to count and they won't refund your money online the way they do if they forgot a tomato or something small, alcohol can only be refunded after jumping through several hoops. I'm sure they do this so you give up, Which we did. I even got accused of lying. Fun times. I love the service but my goodness, I'm done with it. I'd rather get all of my items myself than to get lied to because some lazy person doesn't want to get all of my items. I was tempted to go in the store grab my items myself and walk out since they already charged me for it. I will never use this service again. Couldn't check in! They raise the prices, do you every day products that I buy from the house has gotten smaller and the prices are higher. My bar of soap is 25% smaller and higher in price. Lack of assistance in the isles is practically Neil and they don't walk you to the products when you can't find them and then on the way out, I got a process my own purchases, they've installed artificial intelligence with face, recognition and recognition of certain movements and then I have to stop on my way out all I'm going to pick up my grandkids at school and wait in a line to check out the front door. That's all bullshit if they're worried about is stealing, they should just keep Their clerks, which would probably be cheaper than all the technology they're installing and laying off their employees. What's this world coming to when everybody can afford to go to Walmart anymore because nobody has any jobs read more
