Been a customer for 14 years. And I DO NOT recommend patronizing this gossip girl establishment. They will act friendly with you and then gossip with the next customer about you. Today I overheard one of the managers Amanda gossiping about a friend of mine. I heard words like , bum, begging, not welcome in this neighborhood. For context I'm disabled and can't drive. That "bum" is my only help. He takes me to the store. To doctors appointments Helps me do errands and mows my lawn. Most of you know Shawn and his Husky Maddie. He cares more about this neighborhood than anyone at marina. I will never return to marina. I'd rather go to hammer ln where the people aren't rude. read more

I like coming to this grocery store when I am in the area because it still gives me the old fashion neighborhood store feels. I like the store. The store itself gets full stars. My 1 star is for the guy who makes the tri tip. I'm tired of paying up to $40 for a tri tip that's still practically alive! I mean who ever heard of a medium rare tri tip?! I mean damn! It's supposed to be dead! The whole point of buying a cooked tri tip is so I don't have to cook when I get home! I come the store once in a while and they have good customer service. Always clean andgreat meat department ! Awesome sandwiches, not stingy like podestos 12$ for a sandwich! I work right across this local grocery store and it has everything I ever need when I am feeling hungry or don't bring lunch from home. There is also a coffee bar (cash only) and the drinks that I have had have always been really good and give me the pick me up I need! Great checkers! Fast and nice, but don't buy the meat. Bought 1 pack of ground beef, brought it home. It smelled bad so I turned it over and it was brown on the underside. Figured it was just an anomaly. Week later, went back and bought a pack of ground beef. Opened it up, smelled it and thought "no". Both the outside and backside were red. I like this grocery store and would usually prefer this place over the usual Safeway or save mart. They have everything you need with friendly staff. They have a knowledgeable produce and meat staff in those areas as well as good stuff to pick from. I do wish the store was a little bigger at times but appreciate all the variety of products. I also like when they have the bbq going out front or I need some delish sandwiches as they have some good grub. I've found out that there are some great sandwich stops around Stockton, I've also found out that Brandon is very picky when it comes to sandwiches. However, Brandon swears by Marina's deli and I'll definitely have him asking me to pick up more sandwiches soon.I've only been there once and I'm hoping the experience improves on my second visit. To grab sandwiches you go up to the deli and fill out a slip of paper, just like at Genova or Podesto's. They offer a lot of choices including avocado for an extra charge. They were pretty busy when we went in but we didn't mind waiting after hearing the rave reviews from B. I loved that they had sub sauce as an option on the sandwiches, I really like the flavor of the oil/vinegar mixture and it can make a sandwich. Some things that made this stop a three instead of a four was the lack of meat on the sandwich (both podestos and genova give a lot more) and that they forgot cheese and put onions instead of pickles on the sandwich. While onions are right next to pickles on the check list there's a big difference. I was glad I caught the mistake or I would have had stink breath the rest of the day. This grocery store as a whole is great and the deli pickles are awesome! While my first experience with Marina's deli wasn't the best I'll definitely give them another try and hopefully I'll update my review really soon! read more

I can't believe this place hasn't failed a health code violation after seeing the cake decorator licking her fingers while working on a cake and eating nuts off of her trays. Everyone in this deli always has something in their mouths like they are eating the product. Rude people, like they can't be bothered to shut up and help the customer. It's dark and run down. Honestly this place has seen better days. Weird seeing Kirkland brand items here for almost double the price! That's crazy! I probably won't be returning here anytime soon. The typical corner grocery store... When I visited my friends in Brooklyn, grocery stores such as the Marina Marketplace were commonplace. Walking distance from everyone, homey feel, and a great place to shop for that item or 2 when you forgot to pick up soap or sugar at Safeway. The grill master BBQ's on Sunday and I have yet to taste his fixings, but my uncle tells me it is quite good. The prices are a bit on the high side and their selection of course cannot match Raley's, Safeway, and the other big box grocers. Happy shopping! read more
