Stay Away!! This Despicable Walmart Violates the Law, Perpetrates Fraudulent Business Practices, and Illegally Refuses to Honor Walmart's Own Advertised Return Policy! Even the simplest transaction can be difficult in this hateful, horribly managed store. Could you imagine finding what appeared to be a glass shard in a just-purchased loaf of Walmart-brand Seeded Rye Bread? Then, upon bringing it back to the store with the receipt per Walmart's promised customer satisfaction/return policy, being DENIED the refund by the nasty, disrespectful front end manager? Instead of apologizing for the dangerous product and simply issuing the refund, this horrid employee first claimed the customer service desk was closed (because it was Sunday afternoon!)--although customers appeared to be served or refused service based on race/ethnicity--and then falsely stated that Walmart had changed its satisfaction guarantee policy on defective grocery items to an alleged requirement that patrons return such products within 48 hours!! This was obviously untrue, as nothing on the Walmart packaging (which promises a full satisfaction guarantee), register receipt or signage in the store noted any such bogus change in return policy. Btw, we had bought the rye bread with the glass shard inside on March 17th/St. Patrick's Day, and it was now just 3 days later! Surely Walmart wasn't going to resell the bad bread!! But Walmart could care less about the quality of its store brand products, and has zero regard for adhering to consumer law or its own promised return policy. So buyer beware---This Walmart should be boycotted, unless you're desperate for an item, because you'll be out of luck and lose whatever you paid if the product is defective and you need to return it. This Walmart is trying to be "upscale". Total fail. Unorganized, and It seems not to have a plus size clothing section. Had to ask where the under wear was, which made me feel stupid. Parking is laughable since they put storage containers in the parking lot that takes up a lot of parking spots. I highly recommend not going to this Walmart location. read more

Had an absolutely horrendous customer experience from the greeters checking receipts. Your self-service machine had partially run out of paper and printed half a receipt, we get to the door check where I had PATIENTLY stopped for them to check the receipt. They asked why it was incomplete and I had responded and pointed to the machine that needed a refill. At no point was I rude, but instead was greeted now TWO people checking the paper as if they've NEVER seen anything like it. Shouldn't the staff KNOW what it looks like when a receipt paper had run out? I don't blame the machine for running out of paper, stuff happens.. but at NO point did EITHER of the door staff offer KINDNESS OR APOLOGIES for the inconvenience. Instead, without even an introduction I was told to escort them to the machine (at least say "Hi", introduce themselves, apologize for the inconvenience) and I have to STAND there wait for 5-10 minutes in SILENCE as they refill the machine. I'm a paying customer, I had explained the situation to them, I'm not making a scene, and I'm sure the paper has run out before... shouldn't I have been given the benefit of doubt? The staff needs an etiquette lesson. After the printer was refilled I got my receipt.. NO APOLOGIES. NO SMILE. NOTHING. They just dismiss me and wave me at the door. Absolutely atrocious. Why would I want to continue shopping at a store that treats a paying customer like a criminal? I never raised my voice and offered them a reasonable (and true) account of the issue. My family and I have been coming to this Walmart every week since its opening day. Yesterday evening my wife and I stopped by and as my usual, we were greeted with a huge smile by Kinteaya at the entrance. We headed over to the deli 1st to get a pound of delicious President Swiss cheese. We noticed that the deli's light was dark and no one was behind the counter, we found it odd, we know the deli closes at 2000 but it was only 1845. There was a lady by the name of Dricell next to the deli, I asked her if she can sell me a pound of Swiss cheese, she rudely replied "No, I am short-staffed & I am doing chickens now, deli is closed". I explained to her that it will only take 5 minutes of her time, she still refused to assist me. I decided to look for a manager that perhaps can help us. I stopped by the nice lady Kinteaya, to ask her if she can point me to a manager, she explained to me that Latoya might help, she's Customer Service Assistant manager. I explained to Latoya my situation & frustration with the rude Dricell, and Latoya remedied my situation withing minutes. I was able to get my favorite cheese and continue to do our weekly Walmart shopping. I needed paper toilet and when I went to go get some the African American lady told me only one but when another person went and they were African American she let them take 3 packs so I go back and I told her why can't I have 2 and they can have 3 she just gave me more attitude and told me no only 1 per customer and refused to answer my questions so I went took 2 and ran to pay for it the fact that she said only one to me because am white and gave 3 to the other person because there skin color is rude it's 2020 and there still racism that exists unbelievable read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had placed an online order for pick-up only, just to be told that all my items except two were being shipped? I asked them why that was as I never gave an address. They continued to explain that the information was received through my billing address? Mind you this was all on December 20th, five days before Christmas. I asked them what two items were available for pick-up. It was the Keurig my mother wanted for Christmas and some candy I ordered for my brother. I asked them if there was anything they could do about my order and the told me to call the help line. I did and thankfully someone on the walmart.com helpline helped me figure out the best decisions for the gifts. He even refunded some of the items and apologized about the inconvenience. Come Christmas day, I was excited for my mom to open her long awaited gift...just to find out that the Keurig was USED and DROWNED in WATER???? It was sealed in a bag that was filled with water. The protective red seal was broken and the pamphlet was torn apart! It was the most embarrassing gift I ever gave my mother. This location obviously never checked return items nor did they label it as returned. I do not understand why they gave me a used protect as if it were new! I wanted a new product as we are still going through a pandemic and I have no idea where this Keurig has been. I even paid for three year protection on it. Teteterboro Walmart to the rescue! I urgently needed a wheelchair as a rental wasn't available for a few days and the assistant and store manager literally went out of their way to pull one out of thin air. I asked multiple employees who said it was against policy to sell their displays but I could not transport my dad without having a chair on wheels and luckily these two found it in their hearts to help someone in need during an emergency situation. I'm truly grateful for their customer service and for doing the right thing to help a human in time of need. Despite the crazy lines and typical lack of help or concern for your needs found in these stores by these two going above and beyond Walmart really did something positive for their brand by helping someone in need and so I will be forever grateful! read more

Who doesn't love Wally World? Walmart super centers are always cool for pricing! New location in NJ. By teterboro airport in Teterboro NJ. Parking lot is big and tons of shopping carts for all. Staff is awesome and the bathrooms were clean too! We stopped in today for some organic greens. We love making smoothies and no one else carries 16oz of organic baby spinach, kale or spring mix like Wally World does. Here goes the disappointment.... Organic containers SOLD OUT. Smh.... Really? Guess I have to roll to Secaucus now. Def think you should check it. Especially if it's close to home. Again awesome prices and cool location. This is the WORST Walmart in the area. You would think the shelves would be sufficiently stocked, especially with all of the carts and crates blocking the main lane, but nooooooo, not here. I always go in with a list, and rarely do I get out of this store with even half of the items purchased. Today I went for: Cat food: Meow Mix Simple Servings Beef & Chicken. ~only 1 on the shelf. Nutmeg: not one container from any brand on the shelf Equate Severe Sinus pills: none Shallots: none International Delight creamer, Irish Cream: none SuperTech Motor Oil, Conventional, 10W30: none Makeup items, OTC meds, wound care, that I figure I'd pick up while I'm there, are rarely stocked. This isn't an occasional burp, this is NORMAL. One time I went there once a week for six weeks, hoping to get a 5 gallon bucket and a lid. 3 weeks, neither on the shelf. Next week, just the lid. Next week just the bucket. 6th week, neither. OMG. Honestly, I don't know why I torture myself and shop here. There's another down the road a bit in Garfield that, when I visited (because Teterboro was out of whatever I needed), they had it. I know I should just go there, but I'm obviously a glutton for punishment. And don't even try to shop there around 11pm. NO cashiers, all self service, ridiculously crowded. Not worth the aggravation. Save yourself the trouble and aggravation; shop in Garfield or North Bergen. Both slay Teterboro. read more

Very nice store, most of the retail employees were fine granted some couldn't speak English, which is unusual so there will be language barriers if a customer that only speaks English will encounter. This is my every week walmart store. I get all my groceries from here including fuits, vegetabes, bread, even household things as well. Service - is always great, lines at the counter move fast. Staff - is super friendly and always available to help. Stock - is always updated and all the daily use things are full of stock. Their is a subway at the entrance which has friendly staff as well. Parking lot is big but it gets difficult on weekends and all days after 5pm. It has a lot of food places near by which is one of the reasons people come here oftenly. read more

Called up this morning to inquire about availability of a "in store purchase only" item that was on sale on the website this morning. They were 18 gallon storage totes. I called to verify they were in stock before heading out to the store and was assured they had 37pieces of one color and 19 pieces of another. Color. Checked on a third color snd was told there was 15 left. I head over immediately (arrived in 16 minutes) only to see the aisles were empty except for 4 left in color I didn't want. I tried asking two workers on the floor close by about where the inventory was that was confirmed in the phone.....good luck with that lol.....not enough English to put together a sentence. I then went to customer service counter to inquire about the call to confirm availability and was literally yelled at saying that the person must have made a mistake. I was floored by her response. No, let me look it up and see if I can help. No, let me check if we have inventory in the back. No explanation that someone could have purchased almost 70 of these in every color in 15 minutes??? Nothing. Very bad customer service on the floor has been consistent for years but never expected it at the customer service counter. All this after I tried calling this morning this store twice and secaucus location 3 times before getting someone to even pick up the phone. They need a complete overhaul of customer support and a minimum level of English on the floor. I should have taken her name down snd went to the manager to advise them. I've given them a lot of business in the past in lieu of Amazon as I try to support brick and mortar stores....not anymore. Worst Walmart ever!! I've come to this Walmart at night 3-4 times and every time they have 3 or 4 registers open and long 30-40 min lines. The cashiers are rude and the managers are not helpful! 3 times there was a fight/argument or a big scene because of the lines. This Walmart clearly doesn't learn! I'm sure this happens every night! I was waiting in like for 30 mins and at least 7-8 people were behind me. All of a sudden they close that line and everyone had to find new lines and wait some more. I'm never coming back here!! Walmarts can get as good as Walmarts go but this Walmart has a trust issue with the customers. For some reason everything as far as a air freshener is put behind glass and you have to ask an associate to open up the glass and give it to you but first They have to put it in another container that you have to give it to another person at the register to open. It's unbelievable and half the time there are no associates to be found anywhere. So you end up going for something that you can't purchase at the end. When I went in today i usually go in through the express checkout and do it myself I don't need workers doing it for me. But this time an associate stopped me and the rest of the people behind me to ring us up one by one so there was a line build up in which the express checkout is supposed to get rid of and then the fake security at the door is checking receipts and counting items. Seriously this Walmart has a trust issue with their customers because I go to other Walmarts and it's not this bad there are no deodorant behind security glass. read more

I needed to buy a temporary phone for my granddaughter. The young man at Walmart convinced me to get a contract with Verizon. What a big mistake, everything he said was a lie. He told me my bill would be $45/mo. In addition he said the phone would only cost $45 that was a lie. My first bill came at $127 and I had monthly payments on my phone. I couldn't even return the phone they wouldn't accept it or the Verizon store. Never go to a Department store to get a phone, the sales people do not know what they're doing. Learned my lesson. Always go to a carrier, Verizon, T-Mobile etc. I'm retired and have limited funds. Now this will be on my credit report because I can't pay it. This location is inexpensive, clean and workers here actually speak English unlike the one in North Bergen and Secaucus who seem to never speak English and never work in the section you find them. Obviously all the complaints on yelp about being stopped in check out, checking receipts, add'l measures of security on items stems from somewhere. By far the worst Walmart I've had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting. Dealing with customer service gives you memories of your Lodi DMV visits. Lack of education is the demise of this Walmart. People will still come as they are used to being dealt with uncivilized level of service given its demographic. Those of us who have gone the extra mile with our education will find this place insulting and an embarrassment that it sits here in USA and not in a third world country. When you actually go into the store it's attitude from the employees, because apparently ya customers are a burden to them. Not only are they rude in person, don't acknowledge you but they also make you wait in customer service line while they finish a conversation they are having with another employee. Want to share an amazing experience I had this evening 'Teterboro Walmart' I was on the self check out. Checked out my stuff paid with my credit card. Purchased a jacket for my 6 years old son with other stuff.he wants to put the jacket on, I let him, the tag was still on. My wife walked towards the exit with the receipt and the shopping cart while I was searching for an item in the store. When I was trying to leave the store this associate LISA .. comes start yelling me in front of other customers, I can't not have my son wear the jacket with the tag on, she wants to see my receipts, I told her I paid for the jacket with other stuff with my credit card , I'm looking for my wife she is definitely by 1 exit cause it's cold, she does not want me to move without showing the receipt. I told Lisa you can keep the jacket until I show you the receipt, she does not want to hear anything, she did not even gave me any options. I even told her charge me the jacket on my credit card as she did not gave me the options to go by the exit and find my wife. She was harassing me , I did not know what to do, was really lost while other people was looking at me. Quickly then I asked can you find with my credit card that I paid, with the angry face then she went to the register after 5 tries she found it, did not even apologize or anything,then she tells me 'TAKE THE TAG OFF NOW' also warn me about 15 times not to wear anything with tag on. It's okay as far as Walmart's go. It's convenient and items are usually inexpensive. It can sometimes get chaotic on the weekends and during back to school season (late August- early September) it was a madhouse! . This location actually has a pretty good bakery if ever in a pinch and they have nice, inexpensive cakes that actually taste really good. Huge place where you can find just about anything you want (or don't want). Pretty good location since it's right next to Costco. If there's specific items that I don't want to get in bulk, I can just run across the street and get it here instead. Despite the fact that there are more than 20 registers, there are still consistently long lines. Also, it's still in Bergen County, so more than half the store is blocked off. read more

Security stopped me on my way out because they couldn't find the detergent I bought on my receipt. Even better, the girl asked me to do her job and point it out to her as if I worked there. She also stood there staring at my bagged items for a good minute, holding up the line. She definitely couldn't tell what was in any of them because she didn't open the bags but I'm glad security is a joke here. I also found bugs crawling out from under my items when I brought them home. The employees here are useless. I wanted an item that there was no more of on the shelf but 3 different employees went back there and looked as if it would magically appear. Then, another employee told me the item was in boxes waiting to get put out. Finally the last employee I was traded off to told me the item wasn't in any of her boxes. Waited for over 40 minutes on line. Finally get rung up for $30.00 more than the price listed both on the price tag in the aisle AND online. They tell me this one is some different version and they don't have the one advertised for $30.00 less even though there was nothing else similar or listed at the inflated price in the aisle! I'm glad they built this new location nearby me, in the last year. Its much more convenient for me than the location in Garfield. This complex is shared with Costco and is located next to Teterboro Airport. Its right off of 46 east in Teterboro. The parking lot can get packed sometimes, but mostly it isn't too difficult to find parking, since the lot is quite large. The selection here is on the smaller side of a supercenter store. They don't have all the things that the nearby Garfield store has in stock, as often. But since the store is pretty new, its cleaner, at least for now. As with most Walmarts, this location is no different. Its one stop shopping, with rock bottom pricing. They have a grocery store section and an everything else section. As a note the everything else section, with some item exceptions, is roped off on Sundays, due to Bergen County blue laws. read more

I will never be buying body jewelry from here again. I came to get nose rings and purchased a few without realizing that a few of the studs were missing from the box - meaning that someone had opened the box, taken a few for themselves, and closed the box back up again. I tried to bring the box in the next day to exchange, explaining to customer service that someone had opened the box prior to me purchasing them and stolen a few for themselves. I was told that I couldn't because body jewelry is not returnable or exchangeable. This is something I would have appreciated being told as I was buying these from the jewelry counter. Bottom line, if you do decide to be daring and buy body jewelry from this location, make sure you inspect the boxes carefully - the staff sure doesn't. read more
