donna who was working in isle k17 should be ashamed of herself ! being rude to a customer who simply asked if she spoke spanish, looking down she mumbled under her breath "no i don't speak spanish" and then rudely and in a bothered/condescending manner said "what? you don't speak english?" not realizing i'm standing behind her watching and listening to this go on. the customer replied " a little bit". donna then finally looks up and sees me standing there behind her and says "does he not speak english?"( i don't know the elderly man, i was simply looking at hampers) in which i replied "i don't know but that was very rude of you" .. i who do not work for walmart turned to the customer and asked him nicely how i could help him, he simply wanted to be directed to where the curtains were. this elderly man didn't deserve to be treated like this. walmart, you may want to talk to donna about her attitude towards paying customers; it definitely screams racist bigot. read more

They can never seem to get my prescriptions right, or are always out of stock (and because I take a rare dose or medication, I have to wait a week or two for them to order more!) They also are always losing my insurance information and have constant issues with my phone. Not sure if this is common among Walmarts, or if it's just this store in particular but they clearly need a new system. The staff is lovely, though. read more

Placed an order online through Walmart.com for 3 Men's Long Underwear size Medium. The order went to a vendor called BC Clothing. What I received was 3 size, Extra Large. I suppose they were out of Medium! But I could Not return them to the Walmart store as it said on the website. And I was told I had to mail them back to BC Clothing wrapped & mailed separately! I received all three in one mailer so why would I have to return them each mailed separately??? (They were not opened!} BC Clothing wanted a printed out return label for each! I do not have a printer, so I ask the Walmart store to print them out for me. I returned them in the mailer pkg. that I rec. them in and it cost me $12.98 The moral of this is: Don't order online from Walmart! It will cost you more money and way too much of your time. I stood in line twice at Walmart trying to get them to print out a return statement that BC Clothing required. Each time Walmart said they could not print them out for me. And everyone knows how much of your time it takes standing in line at a Walmart Return counter. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I admit it, I like Walmart. Having one open 24 hours so close to home is great. The store is very clean and the employees are very helpful and friendly. As I've written before, I love price matching! The employees at other stores can be a little nit-picky when it comes to this, but not at this location. It's so great that my husband can stop in there after work at 4:00 AM for a gallon of milk, Advil and light bulbs! One stop shopping. Some people have a touch of snobbery when it comes to Walmart, but I grew up in the South where Walmart is often the only store in town. The whole setup at El Con is great. You have Walmart, Target, Petsmart and Home Depot in one location. Now if they could only get a Bed, Bath and Beyond! read more

This place is okay. I do notice a lot of empty shelves or "last item" stuff. It's as if they don't stock up often or receive shipment. I go weekday mornings so it's not as busy. I seem to set off the alarm whenever I walk into the store. Not sure if that's me or the alarm system. Bathrooms seem to be stocked so that's good. So, mediocre. read more

I go to this Walmart in El Con Center an average of 2 times per week. Never a bad experience. Lots of parking, it's easy to get around, things are always where I know they'll be, staff are fairly pleasant. Nothing to dislike here. read more

I went to Walmart to buy my daughter (8) a shirt and a pair of shoes real quick. Had to go elsewhere for the shoes because there selection isn't all that great. Still bought the shirt. Figured we didn't need a bag for a small shirt, so we didn't bag it. As we were leaving, we were rudely told we needed to show out reciept for the 5 dollar shirt. Knowing this is a courtesy thing, I told CINDY no, that I was in a hurry. She then proceeded to follow me out of the store. She was yelling at me and trying to grab at me. I know that is a no no. She then tried to grab the shirt out of daughters hands. She is 8! Lying saying its for an audit thing. Right now, I don't even want to be writing a review. I wanted to speak with a manager. So when I called there to talk to a manager, it sounded like CINDY'S voice that answered the phone. Said I can't talk to a manager unless I told her what it was about. So I told her that I had an altercation with an employee earlier and wanted to speak to manager. She told me I had to be more specific or the manager wouldn't talk to me. When I told her I wasn't going to go into specifics with her ,and I was in the middle of talking when she hung up on me. This is disappointing. The costumer service here use to be better then this. I guess since I can't get ahold of the manager here, I will go higher up. Keep up the good work Walmart...you're rating are soooo good. And I looks like you can blame all of your employees for that. read more

There was ONE cashier with her line backed into the clothing section. The self-checkout registers were ALL in use with another line backed into the produce. Husband and I went to the back of the store to the other checkout section. Employees were having some sort of weird meeting where they were clapping their hands like kindergarteners at storytime. That needs to be done in a break room, not on the floor, okay? And none of the self-checkouts there were turned on. So, ah, no. You did not get my money today. read more

Heads up, this Walmart is NOT traveler friendly. Mall security woke us up at 1 am and made us move our RV somewhere else. Not sure why they would wait until the middle of the night to tell us there's no overnight parking when they saw our RV there ALL DAY. The guy in the Electronics Department Name Eric Was really Rude to Me. He was Hitting on me hole time I was there, gave me his number and ask if he could do anything for me outside of his work. When I said No and politely ask his to stop hitting on me He got made and storm off. One I need His help he refused to help me. A typical Walmart Supercenter. Clean open aisles. When we went it was not too busy and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Tonight (April 14th at about 7:00 PM) my daughter went to Walmart Supercenter at 3435 E. Broadway Blvd. with her infant daughter. She got a few groceries paid and at the checkout. As she was leaving with a diaper bag, car seat, and her baby daughter, she was stopped at the door and asked for her receipt. She looked through her bags and could not find it so she was taken into the manager's office. They detained her for an hour, stating that they had no video of her purchasing the groceries. They questioned her and harassed her without calling the police. The store manger Yolanda was unacceptably rude to her and treated her very badly. The baby was crying and hungry. My daughter fumbled through the baby's diaper bag and found the receipt for the groceries and then store management conveniently found the video of her purchasing the groceries. This went on for over an hour and 1/2. When she left the store my daughter was embarrassed and in tears. No apologies and not even a "we appreciate your business" from the detaining "management team" As a mother this hurts to see your kind, bright, hardworking daughter have to go through this kind of harassment with no basis. Managers like Yolanda who lack empathy, are self righteous, and choose to bully and belittle a hardworking loyal customer have no business being in a management position. To the Walmart Supercenter on Broadway this is a direct reflection of the people you choose to represent you on the front lines. I am not putting all of your employees in that category, most are professional and courteous. Yolanda is not. When my daughter showed her the receipt she proceeded to go through every item in my daughter's bags and then released her. Totally unacceptable, rude, and unprofessional behavior. Fortunately my daughter's father is an attorney and after talking to her tonight, they will take legal action. I feel sorry for anyone else who has had to with this type of embarrassing harassment (if they are innocent loyal customers) that don't have the support that my daughter does. read more

I only go to Walmart every now and then for a few items but I find this store to be rather satisfactory. The lines are pretty sluggish, but self-checkout moves swiftly. I can never seem to find a basket, so if your only buying a few items bring your own bag. read more

This Walmart sucks. The customer service line is always super long. They need more associates to help with that. This evening I spent about 30 minutes waiting in line to return purple string lights I bought 3 weeks ago. The associate said since Halloween had passed, I could not return or exchange the item. I told her that the item was defective out of the box and that only half the strand would light up. She rudely repeated that they would not take it back. I had the receipt, the item had original packaging and it was in the 90 day return policy deadline. There is nothing on Walmart's return policy that states you can't return a seasonal item after the holiday has passed. Waste of my time. I went home and called the Walmart on Speedway and Kolb and explained the light situation and asked if they would take it back. The manager was very kind and assured me they would gladly do a return on the item. read more

Terrible return experience. Bought a bike here in August. In a little bit under 2 months the bike started falling apart on me. I checked their website and was relieved to see that return policy is 90 days, no questions asked. When I went to the store, they offered me to fix the bike. I would have been OK with that, but it would have taken half a week for me to get it back. I explained that it did not work for me, since I was relying on this bike as transportation to work. At this point I hit the wall. The employee and the manager I spoke with started to act funny and trying to get out of excepting my return. My guess, it is because they knew that I should be able to return the bike. The floor manager eventually told me explicitly that the store manager is putting pressure on them not to except bikes back. Any how, take 2 stars for attempting to fix my issue and clean store, + 0 stars for crappy (or shady) costumer service for an average of 1 star read more

What kind of business doesn't price match their own website. I went in there to buy a game i was 100% sure i would walk out with the game but the website has it for 21.94 and in store it was 29.97 not a huge amount but I'd like to get the best price i can. so i asked the guy at the electronic department if they price matched their own website and he came back with NO! we don't then went about his business. At first i thought he was kidding first because he sounded so rude when he said it and because Who the hell doesn't price match their own website I said really he goes on to tell me to buy it online then set it up for in store pick up so i spend 10 minutes setting up an Walmart online account then when i go to order it for in store pick up it said i could pick it up in 5 days. The Game i had in my hand i could not pick up for 5 days so i put the game back and went up front to the customer service and asked them why that it they said well its all Walmart but the online is part of a different company so i said well that's dumb you just lost a sale and left. I'm out done with Walmart i use to shop there all the time i am a night person i work at night so having that store open 24 hours was real convenient but its the principles wont waste my money on a store that cant even price match their own website. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I had ever experienced. I had originally purchased an item from another location and wanting to exchange it at this location due to it being the last item in stock. I had to call customer service at least 5 times in order to see if it was possible to exchange the item with the receipt since I believed that the item had been tampered with. Twice I had to redial because the electronics department did not answer their phone, and then was told that the associate in the photo department was not available and to call back at a later time. When I did call back, I was hung up on twice without anyone even answering the phone. When someone did answer, I was placed on hold and overheard them saying, "I wish I could help her, but I don't know how." I had even spoke to an assistant manager, Joseph, regarding my situation but they were unwilling to exchange it due to a price difference. I had to contact the original store and speak with a manager to explain them my situation, in which they told me that I could go to any other Walmart to exchange the item and the price will be honored. I then informed him that I had already spoken to the manager here and they will only allow me to exchange the item if I paid for the difference. During the whole process, I had to get the manager from the other store to contact to Joseph in order to allow me to exchange the item at the price I had paid for. When I did come into the store, I spoke with Pat at customer service to exchange my item. Instead of a smooth transaction, she tells me that she cannot exchange the item for me because I bought it at a clearance price in which then I tell her that I had a manager contact this store to allow me to exchange it. Rather than assisting me in finding Joseph, she completely ignores me and continues assisting other customers while I tried contacting the manager from the other Walmart. Once I was able to get into contact with him and informed her that he will be calling the store, she began searching for Joseph. In the end, I was FINALLY able to exchange my item, but that is after waiting at the customer service counter for about 45 minutes to an hour AND having the other store's manager contact this store. By the way, did I mention that this whole situation occurred in a span two days AND that I had my receipt with me? Needless to say, I will not be providing any business to this Walmart in the future. read more

I love Walmart and I understanding going there isn't always a 5 star experience. What I experienced Friday, November 20th around 5:15pm was beyond disrespectful. I went to pick out a video game in the electronic section, which in most cases takes between 1 and 5 minutes to complete. When I got to the section the cashier in the department was busy and she mentioned she'd be there shortly to help. After 15 minutes she apologized and mentioned she was working both the sporting goods and the electronics department by her self. At that point there was easily 30 people combined in both sections that needed her assistance. When I saw that I went looking for some one to assist her and us. I found 7 Walmart employees, including a floor manager standing in a circle chit chatting. I asked the male manager for help and explained the employee was in serious need of assistance. The manager looked at me in disgust and told me there was no one else that could help. I mentioned how about one of the 7 people not doing any thing right here, he then replied it was none of my business and to move along. I understand Walmart is busy, but when 7 employees including a manager are shooting the shit in a circle while one of their employees struggle is absolute bullshit. I feel bad for the employee who received no help. I was unable to get the managers name from the store at a later date, I called multiple times and spoke to a manager who didn't give his name either. read more

I ordered a bike online for same day pick-up after the website displayed the bike was available, I bought it as a gift for a birthday. After a couple of hours they sent an email canceling the order because it wasn't in stock. Ok fine, but they don't refund my payment for up to 10 days, it's just their policy. I don't have extra money to buy another bike until I get the refund. So much for the birthday surprise. What a ripoff. I will never buy anything from them again. It took me 10 minutes to buy the bike, it takes them 10 days to refund. I don't get it. read more

I went to this Walmart on a Wednesday, before noon, and perhaps that's why the store was not too crowded, there was decent parking, and friendly, helpful clerks in the store. This store was easy to get to, large, clean, and had most of what I was looking for. Didn't do too much in the grocery section this visit but am sure I will another time. When I got through the checkout line I was surprised to find that my bill was almost half what I would have paid in the Washington, DC area (home). There are stores in El Con that I am glad to have found since I have only lived in Tucson 3 months. I feel like I found my to-to shopping center. read more

I went to this Walmart just to buy some dog food. I usually buy the largest bag I can. So I found a 40lb bag of dog food. There was a sign for $19.99 so I was going to buy one. I went to the register and it rang up at $25.99 so the cashier called a manager up the manager went to look at the price and she said there isn't a tag for $19.99 when in fact there was. She wouldn't honor the price and said I was a jerk for wanting the discount. I told her she didn't belong in customer service. I left without buying the dog food and will not be returning here again. read more

3 months ago i lost my cell phone and was in need for a replacement. i came here to try my luck. checked the guy serving the cell phone department which phones would work with my service provide. he clearly was not knowledgeable about the phones. that's ok. i don't expect them to be experts anyway. however, i was taken back when he responded to my male companion, instead of to me directly, and kept addressing me as "she", as if i was not there. he didn't seem to consider female as serious customers in his dept, so i went somewhere else. read more
