I honestly don't know why I'm leaving this review but as a parent, I feel the need to warn new moms about trying to just simply "exchange" diaper sizes here. Especially without a receipt. Came here to simply get smaller sizes since everyone gave us the big sizes at our baby shower. Unfortunately we have no room to store diapers. Older lady at the counter said they don't do returns or exchanges without a receipt and that I needed to bring peoples cards or ask for the receipts to do the exchanges. To simply get a different size... I don't like Walmart for many reasons but this just adds to why I don't shop here. Especially for baby/kids things. Go to target where no matter if you have a receipt, if you say you need a different size of something your kids grow out of super quick, they'll take your exchange or return. read more

No cashiers.. long lines... so elected to do delivery... bad idea... elected to do curb-side.. bad idea.. what is up with this location.. It starts from the Top Down, someone should really clean house in the store management or light the fire under them. Coming from someone who manages dozens of people, you have to have passion in what you do. The employees here mostly seem like they are being tortured to work here. Curb side took almost 15-20 minutes- Delivery- Missing multiple things in my order which I was STILL charged for. Come on.. I go to this Walmart because it is the closest to my house. Several times I have encountered an angry older lady. She is often on her phone or gossiping with other employees. She will look up and point you to an available self checkout (which is obvious to anyone that is available because of the green light) last week I scanned my items and then scanned a bottle of wine. She was busy chatting it up with someone so I waved at her and she looked over with a bothered look on her face as she stormed over. She said "you scanned the alcohol didn't you!!"I said "I did, there was no one over in that corner register to pay for the booze."She says in a condescending tone "well IF YOU GIVE US A MINUTE WE GET TO YOU!!" I didn't say a word. I just stared at her. She then started talking about how easy going she is. I peeked at her name tag. No Christine you are rude as FU** you have the worst customer service skills and you should definitely work in the back. Today I returned to Walmart and I again needed help. I'm still done with this location, went in last Saturday to grocery shop, some aisles were wet with water I kept slipping and almost falling on my butt, I told workers to clean it up, I even ask a worker if they had this Indian sauce I needed and they couldn't get to it in the back on a palette when I wanted to make it on Saturday night. I even had to wait for a worker to get a lockbox off of a phone charger cord while I'm checking out I even told him thank you and no welcome. If you seen SUPERSTORE on TV then you know kinda have an idea of what this place might be like. So, when people say this place has EVERYTHING then are no joking because they have EVERYTHING!! If you want clothes they have clothes. If you need electronics they have TVs, computers, phones, gaming consoles, etc. If you need drinks they have juice, water, soda, beer, liquor, etc. Are you into fishing? If you are they have reels, rods, bait, etc. If you can think of it they will probably have it or something close to what you need. Don't believe me! Come and see for yourself. It is a shame I have to travel so far to get to Walmart but I do enjoy the annual visit. I came here looking Christmas presents and once again it was hard for me to find what I wanted. I mean, I wanted so many things for family as well as myself. The deals on the sweatshirts cannot be beat. Plus, this place is must for all things holiday wrapping paper, boxes, tissue, bows, ribbons, and so forth. They have a whole section dedicated holiday stuff. YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT. Walmart is just right for everything! I would be more inclined to go the Walmart over Target if there was one in San Francisco or San Mateo County. I've just had my last Vacaville Walmart shopping experience. If you buy something in the toothpaste section, it must be paid for there. You cannot pay up front like before. There was one checker with 12 people with full baskets in line. They no longer stock some items I have always bought there. I went to self checkout where an elderly gentleman asked for assistance and the employee acted like he was put out because he was asked for help. The platform provided on the register for the things I bought was way too small .....well some went on the floor and other items back into the basket....then I had to figure out how many bags I would need to bag my stuff....Customer service sucked.....Farewell Walmart. Just went in to the big Walmart on Helen Power to check out their plants (specifically succulents). When I tell you 99% of everything in that garden center was DEAD, I mean LITERALLY almost everything was DEAD dead and had Hospice nurses standing by. It was so sad. I wanted to take anything with life left in it home so I could care for it. But I couldn't. I rescued 6 plants. This place is disgusting. Someone back there either couldn't care less about these plants or they're simply not trained to care for them. Most of the succulents were sunburnt and hadn't been watered in GOD KNOWS how long. Many of them were so dried out that the root ball simply sat in a tiny, plastic pot just begging for someone to give it a sip of water and some real soil. The little bit of soil in the pots was so dried out that it was pulling away from the pot completely. Everything was dying of thirst. Literally, rows and rows of dead plants, rotten, brown rose bushes, crunchy, withered up leaves on what used to be (presumably) beautiful plants... with full-price price tags on them. Dark and dirty. It has products and the workers are actually very kind but this is the creepiest Walmart ever. Squeaking sounds from the refrigerated section is super unpleasant, whole place reeks of perfume, and the lighting is super dim. Avoid and go to Dixon or Fairfield if you have a choice. read more

I was just shopping at Walmart right now buying groceries and some things for the house and they had like 10 carts in the middle of the aisle and I walked into them and I was looking at them like move your carts but didn't say it just gave a look not rude but more like a pause and the associate just said to me "oh you trying to get through? just move them" ( I thought it would be rude just to move someones cart) and then as I walked by she's like it's NOT HARD. SO I left about $300 worth of merchandise there. I definitely wont be giving them my money when somebody's rude to me like that. It felt like was back in prison when I entered/left this store. When I went in the Commissary(food area) of this store the produce looked as fresh as a prison salad. The summer sausages and shredded beef were slightly better than those in San Quentin. I did like that Walmart sells soap on a rope, wish they sold that in San Quentin, that would have helped decrease my dating life in San Quentin. The Employees at Walmart wouldn't help me find anything , so I asked the rat and he took right to where I needed to go (pic below). The culture of safety and security at Walmart was better than San Quentin's. I immediately felt like every employee was watching me, around every corner was a set of eyes watching me for my security. I felt so safe and secure I kept my my money in my regular wallet, and didn't even think about using my prison wallet once. After 30 minutes of trying to get a bottle of Tide out from the locked cabinet a employee (who smelled like Bob Marley) found his keys and gave me some Tide. I liked the convenience of being able to make a separate purchase for personal hygiene products. At least in this section they had a cashier, I know, I was amazed that they still existed. She was nice, friendly and competent at her job, a rare quality for this store. Please make the isles wider so that I fit my cart down them, so I don't knock items off the shelf. The Clearance section was the nicest section of the store. It was well organized, clean and gave the appearance that who ever was responsible for this section care about the quality of work they perform. Promote this person to Store Manager immediately. On second thought don't promote them so that at least one section will remain clean. The self checkout registers proved that Walmart cares about and trusts me. I was amazed that they let 5 employees stand around and tell me which register to use, so I could have the privilege to bag my own groceries that I was paying for. I understand the CA tax on plastic bags, trying to save the environment, but at least have them in stock at the registers. I was happily surprised at the free health inspection when I left the store. My only complaint about the health inspection is that the full body cavity search was done in front the entire store. I did enjoy the the local artist who putting on a free show in the parking lot, and he only asked for money like 4 times during his song. When he was finished he even tried to help me put away my groceries and said that he would deliver the rest of his groceries to my house for me. Lastly, Walmart take some of the $556 billion dollars in profit from last year and provide health insurance and pay a decent wage and most of these issues will go away. Nobody reads these reviews. P.S. Your fire extinguishers are past due their inspection dates. I hope you fix them before the fire department finds them, and I not telling you where the expired one are. read more

Maybe I should have started here. My the reviews many have has similar experiences. I have actually been shopping here a lot but that changes forever starting today. I looked at the ads found a great sale and placed an on-line Oder which they refused to honor. They had me drive all the way to to store to tell me that they would not honor it. Even after showing them the as and my receipt that indicates otherwise. What happened to integrity? What happening to honor? What happened to customer service? Got an oil change today I usually go when I can't get in at the dealership! My only concern is not sure if they're really changing the oil but I always check and I always check to see if they put air in my tires, and as always they never do..... why even lie on paperwork saying it's done when it wasn't! Honestly, this store is terrible at customer service. My husband lost his keys and we tried calling the store to ask if anyone turned keys in, no one answered the phone for over an hour, kept picking up and hanging the call up. Beyond annoyed, people obviously don't like helping others. Now we have to drive to the store and see if they've been turned in. And if they weren't, total waste of time. Just pick up the call, see what the customer needs and hang up lol read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in there looking to buy a new fishing rod. I am looking on the Walmart website and say hey it's $10 cheaper there. I said hey let me see if they can price match their own website. I go in talk to the worker they call someone over and they tell me that they can't price match their own website, what kind of absurdity is that it let me pick it up in the next day, which is the exact same rod, and the worker has the audacity to tell me that the rod I had was not the one on the website, which was the exact same one and it said black and white with accents of red and brings some bs response, I felt disrespected, when I said something that a 7 foot rod was a one piece and that an 8 foot we came two piece and she started back talking me saying how every rod comes two piece and that you better learn what you're talking about which I know what I'm talking about and some rods come one piece not two so I absolutely hate this Walmart if I could leave zero stars I would and I hope whoever is working the fishing section not the nice lady that helped me find the price, but the lady she called over to help her gets a stern talking to her about how to treat customers and how to at least be nice if you can't price check absolutely crazy and disrespectful!!!!!! read more

*First and foremost, the employees are not the problem* *BAD PRACTICES by Manager* Today, I was put on hold on the phone for literally 30 mins to see if something was in stock. No one came back. I had to hang up and call back. The phone rang for 3 ish minutes before someone picked up. They passed me to the "manager," as they said they didn't know the answer and only the "manager" could answer that. As a "manager" he could NOT have cared less that I was put on hold for 30 minutes and he tried to rush me off the phone with an annoyed air. Like I was the reason they were out of stock lol. He had a very entitled air of "that's your fault for staying on hold, that you can't get anyone to give you a simple answer, and don't call and ask questions you nuisance!" The answer I got was like, "we don't have a date of when it will be back in stock." Wow, I didn't know that was "manager only privy" info. It would have been much easier if the "manager" informed the employees on how to answer questions like that and being empowered to say so. It's the "manager's" job to make sure they train their employees with the simple answers that would make this operation more efficient. I feel bad for the employees. read more

I'm never one to play the "disabled card" but what happened yesterday was a bit much. Yesterday (May 26, 2021) at about 2:45pm I went to this WalMart to get a small bag of potting soil, and naturally I parked at the south end near the nursery entrance. And being disabled I parked in a disabled spot and displayed my placard. When I walked up to the nursery door (about 50 feet from my car) it didn't open. I stood there for a moment trying to figure out why, and was hoping an employee would see the problem. After a couple minutes I decided to just walk around and go in through the main entrance. When I finally made it to the nursery I noticed there was no potting soil to be found anywhere inside. I looked around and found an employee at the same door I tried to go through earlier holding it open for a delivery. I asked where the potting soil was, and she told me it was all outside. She kept the door open for me while I grabbed a bag and went back inside. As I walked back in I asked her "What's the point to having handicap parking near the door if the door is locked?" She told me that this door had to remain open at all times, but they have to keep it closed because they didn't have anyone to watch it. She then closed the door, locked it, and walked away. I'll bet if the fire marshal showed up they would find someone to watch that door in hurry. Even if I wasn't disabled having to get a bag of soil would still be a hassle with it being outside. I can see people walking all through the store not knowing where it was, and having to walk all the way around the building and back inside the main entrance. If they want to store items outside that's fine, but at least put it up at the front where the doors are unlocked and open so people don't have to walk all that distance twice. Or having to walk all the way up front to get a cart, walk all the way back to where the soil was, and then all the way back up front again to pay for it. And why would anyone store items for sale outside a locked door? Coincidentally most of the parking near the main entrance was taken, as was all the handicap parking (as normal). Not being able to walk all that well that distance can really be a challenge sometimes. read more

.98 shaving cream is locked away with razors....why? I don't have a damn clue....okay so I'll hit the button and wait.....and wait...and hit the button again....and again......finally after 10-15 minutes of looking around for an employee....I say hell with it I'll go grab someone at front or find out where to go find someone.....finally 20 minutes later I find someone and say "hey it's been a long time and I've been hitting the button to grab some shaving cream"........ The response by this a$$hole....."Jesus everyone acts like it's the end of the world".....and continues to mumble under his breath.....like dude aren't you in customer service? If I could give this Walmart supercenter zero stars I would! They have got to be one of the worst Walmart that I have ever shopped at. The customer service is nonexistent. I wanted a bottle of woolight detergent and of course everything is locked behind a glass enclosure. You have to ring the bell, I must've rang the bell 50 times if not more and asked associates that kept walking by me for help, asking them can you please Open up the glass doors so I can get some detergent and the reply was always "we don't have a key " we will get someone to help you. I had to go searching for a manager and when I did find a manager I was treated like I was bothering them! Never again! read more

Waited a long time for help but no one came. I guess they don't really care about customer service

A Walmart associate at the customer service desk refused to give me a receipt for an item that I purchased! I realize that I didn't have a receipt for the other two items that I exchanged and that's fine but I paid $20 over the exchange on a new item and she said, "You didn't give me a receipt so I'm not giving you a receipt." Her exact words! I could not believe she said that! And I stood in line FOREVER just to get to the counter to deal with that girl! Ahhhhhh! read more

Unfortunately people come here because they think this store is cheaper but they're not they have more products than their smaller stores but there in adequately stocked. They were mostly out of bottled water and many other products that we were looking for. A very very poor selection of organic vegetables and fruit actually they were hardly any. Not a good selection of bacon and eggs. The toilet tissue was the only decent deal. Poor selection of Deli baked cookies too. The checkout cashier was very nice and friendly. She was also very talkative which usually leads to a distraction and in this case we walked out without all the products we paid for because we spent too much time talking to her instead of paying more attention to our Goods because she didn't Place some of them in the bag and when we got home we noticed they were missing. The store treats all its customers like suspected criminals. They ignore Covid distancing- the self check out areas are always full and rarely do they have enough regular checkouts open. It's a Walmart... 'What else needs to be said. Oh, pardon me... It's a "Walmart Supercenter." Translation: They carry more, low quality crap that's "Made in China." (Just kidding!... Sometimes it's Taiwan.) It's a very nice Walmart but the question is, "How long will it remain this way?..." That's the REAL question. I've seen Walmart start out with a bang and shortly after, "Ghetto'mart." The place becomes a sh*thole, garbage spewed throughout the parking lot, nasty bathrooms... 'Just plain ol' dirty. (i.e. - Fairfield/Vallejo locations) Since, relocating to the area, I've been to this location quite a few times and found just about everything I needed. Overall, the customer service has been relatively good, at times it can be hit & miss. However, the pricing is generally, very good. Now, this Walmart isn't exactly ghetto but it does have that element... (i.e. - Sketchy, loitering, people just "hanging out") It's a great place to people watch, you know those Walmart photos of people who look liked they dressed themselves in the dark?... (i.e. - "The People of Walmart") I'd swear that half of those photos came from here!... 'And there's even a website solely dedicated to these folks, true story. I just moved to the area and have been using Walmart delivery services for a year. I have never been missing an item from my previous Walmart orders at other stores. I order on average 20-50 items every week. This store I have been missing over half my order on deliveries multiple times. The time it takes to deal with customer service to itemize it and get a refund is ridiculous. We happened to use the curbside this past weekend as well and waited over 20 minutes to get one item and was not during a rush hour period. Not sure what the issue it but will not be using this service any longer. read more

"I'm here to steal some bags," that's what I told the cashier when she rang me up for 50 Kleenex boxes. Since they've eliminated plastic bags in SF, which I use to store garbage, I travel down to Vacaville just for the bags. The checker gave me a sweet smile, and said "how many do you want?" "How about one bag for each two boxes of Kleenex?" I said. She smiled again, laughed, and said it was a long way just for plastic bags. She was cute in a Taylor Swift way, and seemed much nicer than the pop star. I've never met Taylor Swift, but I'm just speculating. I would have asked her out if 1) I was into Taylor Swift 2) She was older than 20ish Thanks for the bags though, I'll be back again for more of your cheap products too. Great location for a Walmart right off the freeway and across from Sams club and other good eats. The outlets are nearby so if you can't find something there you can always find something at Walmart. When it's all said and done you can't say much for service at Walmart's. The prices are at a bargain and external company products are micromanaged to stay on the shelves. Walmart wouldn't be so bad if they just offered better service and encouraged their employees more often then not to provide the best possible service to customers when they ask for support in store. A few great works and the few that don't want to help ruin the stores rating. If leadership does not start valuing customers through employee engagement these stores eventually will close to the online competitor(s). Leaving people and themselves jobless. That doesn't mean all the managers are not working hard, but this store is questionable. read more

Like every other Walmart in terms of store layout and stocked items. However, I did not have a good experience here. This store is so crowded with homeless people and workers that cannot speak English. I went to the customer service area to return an item. I was second in line, but the wait was over 30 minutes. One worker was super busy with a customer and the other was doing whatever. I understand they were dealing with a difficult customer, but the idle worker could have worked a little faster instead of dawdling. I was so frustrated with the wait. And looking at the workers' expressions I knew they didn't want to be there. You may have a crappy job, but please be a little nicer? Not coming back to this Walmart ever again. When you are driving up to this place you have to go through a somewhat deserted strip mall which almost gives you pause. When you first walk in there is the grocery dept. and it seemed fine except for the dead flowers in the display for sale, Really? OK now the rest of the store seemed organized enough but some of the shelves were a little empty like they had ran out of stuff. I found the things I needed and found my way out of the store. I was a little taken a back when the cashier that was checking me out was wearing latex gloves. Like it was so germy that she had to wear gloves to keep from getting germs on her. I found it funny while I was in there that someone wanted to return a mouthguard without a receipt, and they wouldn't let them because it was used. Really people? There is a McDonalds in the front of the store as you exit for your eating pleasure. read more

I dropped by to strictly hit the sporting department located in the back. Since I already purchased my annual fishing license, I needed to get some add-ons. Clueless as I was, the cashier laid out all of the possible options. He shared me the regional coverage I had which was quite helpful. I ended up only getting a sturgeon report card as I didn't see anything else useful at the moment. In addition, I picked up some plastic lure baits that I didn't see elsewhere. They do have a great selection of fishing supplies; however, they lack inventory of fishing reels. It's not bad at all if you are shopping for sport fishing.
