Customer service is really bad here. Long lines take forever to get out. I hate going to this Walmart but I was in the area.

This location sucks. The only reason ill go to this particular location are for two reasons. One: mostly the item I need is in this location other than the ones in long island are sold out. Two: the mall, bjs and home depot are right there incase I need to do any other shopping I dont have to drive too much. The worst thing about this location are the employees. I find that other walmart employees in other locations suck, but I think here are the worst. They're lazy and rude. My friend asked where the Pet section was. She replied back so rudely. If you dont like your job, GET ANOTHER ONE. Its just walmart anyways. Theres other jobs you dont have to work with customer service. Anyways the next issue my friend wanted to look at a ring. Literally 4 employees was INSIDE the jewelry booth, talking to each other and trying to avoid customers. He said excuse me 3x and just ignored him. I told him to forget it cuz I dont trust their jewelry anyways. Remind you as im making this review, its December and its holiday shopping time. Of course ure going to have many customers this time of year asking questions about anything. As I said, if you're not a customer service person, dont work in places especially walmart. read more

Well let's begin with the positives-the store is pretty big. Had lots of items on stock at amazing prices. OK, the rest is all negative. The lines when I went last Sunday were ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE STORE!!!!!!!!! One would've thought they were giving things away, it was ridiculous. I waited so long, and still barely moved ahead on the line a foot. After over 35 mins on line I gave up and let my cart with items in them and walked out. What happened to this store? There was a shortage of open registers leading to very long checkouts. There are creepy motion detector cameras following your every move. The lone bathrooms remained closed for at least the 2 hours I was there (they were also closed the last time I was there). After checkout, new scanning procedures at the door delayed things another 10 minutes or so. Walmart is no longer worth the few dollars in savings. This center does not seem to value its customers. Don't ask for help because your just not going to get it here. Yes it's true you can find good deals on some not all items. But do your research, not everything is a super great buy. I like to way my options before coming here because, well the store is so all over the place. Quick tip guys: Before you take a drive out to Walmart go to there website and make sure they have in stock what you are looking for. Then if it's not on the sales floor make them get it for you in the stock room. Most of the time they will tell you they don't have it in stock because there to lazy to go back there and get it. If you hit them with the amount it showed they had in stock from the web site. They have no choice but to get it for you. If all else fails ASK FOR A MANAGER. Some of these reviews are, uh, kinda racist, but it's true that this is the worst Walmart on planet earth. The carts don't work, the aisles are unspeakably crowded, and nobody gives a shit or lets you cross the aisle. They drive their carts like they were in a traffic jam on the freeway. Do NOT shop at this store!! This is by far the worst establishment I have ever shopped at. I have shopped here a few times when Target was renovating and every experience was AWFUL! Store is overcrowded and the clientele are a bunch of rude savages. Don't dare ever say excuse me or you will risk getting into an altercation. Never anything in stock no matter the time of day. I've come here at 8am nothing on the shelves. Beware of boxes and all other types things in the middle of or at then end of the aisles which makes maneuvering around even more difficult. The worst of the worst here is the horrific staff. Do these employees even now what customer service is? Good luck getting someone to help you. Aside from that they talk to each like they're out on the street. Speaking loudly and cursing in front of customers without a care in the world. Lines are ridiculously long. Horrible customer service once again. They need to fire all of the management here and bring in new people. After speaking with a manager named Stephon I had to leave in disgust. This is about order online from Walmart polar salmon The product is great deserve more than five stars. the problem is the packing, they put the tuna ,the salmon, 3gallons of oil all loose in a huge box arrive 4 canes of salmon open one of the oil has hole in it most of the rest of the cans crushed. this is the second time happing with cans delivery. the hole box including the order smell sow bad whatever I salvage I had to in vacuum bags from the fishy smell. I don't thing it is worth it to go true all this trouble to save little. Walmart last time want me to send it back. this time I did not even waste my time and call. just no more cans from Walmart online. read more

My wife and I came to this location this evening for our monthly grocery shopping trip. Sadly this is the only Walmart in the area. Their crew is terrible. They have no care for issues one may have or needs they may have in finding items that are hardly on the shelves. We were there at 6:30ish and there were practically no strawberries on display. Beyond that, every time we interacted with an employee, minus our cashier, who was very courteous, we were met with blank stares or were ignored. One young lady had her headphones in and was clearly talking to someone on the other end. We asked if she knew where a particular style of rice was and if they had it in another location or not. She didn't respond. Another had a large cart in the way of some items I was reaching for and she didn't say a thing - until I was done grabbing everything I needed and she said, "I'll grab all that for you." After we were done. Haha. Wow. I'm just tired of the indifference. People have jobs and don't care and their employers don't care either. The founder and current owners would be incredibly disappointed if they visited this location. The only bright spot was the interaction with the other customers at this location. read more

Terrible customer service. I called over there looking for a specific item. I didn't want to go over there if it wasn't in stock, because it's 45 minutes away from me. I called and asked if the item was in stock and immediately was told it wasn't, even though online it says it is. I was a little suspicious that she told me immediately without looking that my item wasn't in stock. I called back with the SKU number to ask her to look it up and she told me that that was not possible because she didn't have a computer, and then it was not possible for her to transfer me to someone who does have a computer. She was just being incredibly unhelpful. I even told a friend of mine about my experience and she called over there as well and was hung up on by that same lady TWICE. Terrible store. read more

I hate haters. Like really. I am an extreme couponer. You cannot beat walmart. This one is stocked if you know exactly what you are getting and know what days they restock. I price match and coupon here. Their price match is unbeatable for groceries. However, I do find their coupon policy to be a little strict. But when you have already low prices, high itinerary, price match on the things that weren't lowest, I give it a pass on on accepting 90% of my coupons. Only come here if you're really desperate for an item and it's not available for shipping. I would avoid this place if I were you. I'm black, I love black people but this place here... nasty attitudes, long lines, horrible parking, non stop eye rolls, smh. What in the ghetto is going on here? it's just too much to take in at once. Imagine standing on a line and someone says "yes??? Problem"? While you're not even aware they're talking to you. Smh It was quite an experience. New Jersey, Virginia, and everywhere outside of NY was a pleasant Walmart shopping experience. This place doesn't sit right in my soul. Shut it down already. I can't stand coming to this Walmart location you can never come and feel as if you get you stuff and check out and head home but when the self check out takes your 45mins that means something has to change dramatically like no joke I dread coming here especially if it's for things I can't find else where so I'm forced to come to this location or if I'm not up for the drive to Longisland just come when it's not a weekend and come extra early when everyone punching in for work that's how I feel. read more

One of the worst customer services experiences ever. I had forgotten my food (just two items) because the cashier put the groceries in a different bag without telling me. I didn't realize till I got home that this had happened. Even more, I actually went back in moments after the purchase to grab something else to the same cashier and she didn't even say a thing. Then, I went back to this Walmart the following day to reclaim my items. I had gotten rid of my receipt accidentally -- totally understand if it's an issue. But one of the cashiers was very hostile about it and pointed me to the customer service line that was a mile long. I couldn't wait for the items that was a grand total of $6 all together. Not worth it. But it was just the experience that made me feel like I've been robbed. read more

Poor customer relations. I am very upset at what just happened to me at the wallmart in Valley stream NY. I am not long after recovering from abdominal surgery and fighting a serious illness. I felt too weak to wait on the extremely long line to check out my merchandise. My fiancé was online as I told him I need to find a seat since I felt weak. Two male hispanic employees wearing wallmart uniform walked by and felt the need to reprimand me for sitting at the food court area. They also reprimanded a young woman sitting holding a sleeping infant.They were unkind and never asked if I was ok. I will not return to shop there. I spoke about the situation to an assistant manager Jason who was kind, listened and apologized about what had happened. I wished I were stronger to find the two males who behaved poorly. read more

I live in bk,ny. So i have to go to this walmart which is not too far. (after going through queens) i love walmart. Where else can i get a 12 box of diet pepsi for $3.50. plus the body wash and deodorant is cheap too. It's just the crowd and long lines i can't stand. Plus i don't like how when you put your stuff out then it scans the wrong price. What is going on? I am not paying $25 for a 12 box of diet pepsi when the sign clearly says it's $3.50. What a shit show. I should have just driven to Jersey to avoid the headache but it was later in the evening and I didn't feel like it. The shopping experience was fine but the checkout was so bad I don't think we will ever come back here. Our line was so slow, we waited on line for at least 30 mins. There were probably 6 people in front of me. It was truly painful and I couldn't tell you why it took so long. Finally when I was close to the cashier I saw another employee take out a pack of cigarettes from the display case and tell the customer you can go after this lady, referring to the lady in front of me. Uh what? Sorry for the customer but he got the business. There was NO WAY he was cutting in front of me after I've been waiting for over 30 mins. He got his ass on the back of that long line. And why would you as a worker let him cut a slow, long line and not even ask if it would be okay? Or take him over to the scan and go, which was 2 steps away? As you can see, I was super heated. If i am able to NOT leave a star i would. Terrible example of a shopping center. If walmarts were more this way, walmart would have went out of business ages ago. First off, the parking is really dark. Kinda scary actually. Only some of the lights were working in the parking lot. The shelves are a mess, missing stock and empty! there were half open pasties by the bakery empty baskets by the produce. Busy night and half the registers were closed. Close to 30 minutes to pay for our stuff. On the way out, there were M&Ms and gummy bears all over the floor. read more

Due to recent catastrophic storms in Texas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc., and people need water & certain food items to survive; Walmart decided to capitalize on the situation. Instead of lower the cost to these needed items such as such as, Motts for tots juice, bottle water, instant meals, and other items that can be easily transported; Walmart decided to DOUBLE its prices. This is disappointing, since I have been a Walmart consumer for over 15 years. I have also notice that Shoprite had actually lower its prices and will make comparisons between Shoprite and Amazon before making any purchases for items for donations. read more

So with the dropping of that cool change counter at TD bank, i purchased the paper rolls to roll up all my change from Walmart. after i had about $30 in change i brought it to the customer service counter to avoid passing the grief to the cashier. I waited about 35 minutes at the Walmart customer service section. Funny thing is that there were two people in front of me in the line and two people at the counter and three employees working at the counter. 35 minutes to process 5 people with three seems long but what the heck. i'll roll with it. yep you guessed it. when i got to the counter there was no way they would take even one roll of pennies i was sent away without even an 'i'm sorry'. also. the store looks like it's closing as most of the produce is picked over and near empty. The speed of action for the crew is frighteningly slow and they have NO interest in ever letting a customer get by them let alone trying to not be in the way pretty sad. i wouldn't advise a visit. read more

This place is the absolute worse. They are always super crowded. I came here to return an item that was purchased online. I was told by the online customer service that I should be able to return the item for cash. When I got to customer service I was told the item could be put on a gift card because they don't offer cash as a refund there. So I figured that would be fine as I planned to buy the item in a different color. They didn't have the item in stock. So I went back to customer service to advise that I didn't want the gift card because I couldn't find the item. I was told that once the refund to a gift card it couldn't be refunded. I was livid at this point because that should've been explained to me prior to accepting that card. read more

This review is ONLY for the VALLEY STREAM WALMART --not other Walmarts. Walmart? Most people that were walking out of this store were uttering the same words. As I said to the person at the door, when I was on the way out, "This is NOT Walmart". ' I am used to Walmart that is wide open aisles and lots of products and great prices and staff that is WONDERFUL! Anytime that I've been to other Walmarts , the staff has even offered to take me to find the products. In this Walmart, when you ask where something is, they point "up in the air" or down the aisle and say , "it's over there" . I say, "over where"? So, here's the deal in this particular Walmart: 1. This is Not your typical Walmart. 2. Prices --- are good. That's the only noticeable resemblance to a real Walmart. 3. Selection --- they might have it but probably they don't have it. 4. Crowded bigtime. 5. Parking lot ---Noooooooooo lol, yes, try and find a space in there. 6. Sticky stuff!! I picked up a bottle of 409 or something and it leaked onto my hands, and it smelled of bleach! I picked up another bottle, --same thing. Seems that too many people fool around in this store, either people dropping the items or whatever. Summary, if you MUST shop, then go here. However, if you have time and money and the tolls, find another Walmart that is more like a real Walmart. It's worth the trip and worth the money. This Walmart is good in a pinch, but that's it. One of the staff explained that the store was like this because it was 24 hours! That is no excuse. Most of the other Walmarts are open 24/7 also. Love to read your report on any Walmarts anywhere. The bakerys edible image machine has broken for over a year? I have been buying cakes from walmart since i was a teenager. I have been trying to carry on the tradition of personalized cakes for my son. Every time I have gone to this walmart for a cake the machine is always broken. Every time I ask when will it be fixed i always get the same response " I don't know it's been broken for a long time" or as of last week "it's been broken for a year". So why don't they fix the machine or replace it? they advertise that they make edible cake images but they don't have a working machine to do so. I tell everyone that has a BJs membership that they do personalized cakes ( I just found out after trying walmart). This is ridiculous! Why advertise something if you can't fulfill it? read more

You have to understand the area it's in. Plus this store is incredibly busy. Ok so first plan to go here first thing in the morning or very late, but again comsidering the area women go very early. I go either 7:30 am or after 10:30 pm. The morning time I pretty much have the store to myself. Most employees are helpful and haven't had their nerves stomped on by 1000 customers with stupid questions. Yes some have real questions but the bulk, NO. Weekends leave this store to the locals. 0 stars. Probably the worst store I've ever walked into in my whole entire life. My great-aunt from Ireland was here visiting and wanted to bring back some clothes for her newborn grandson, so I suggested that we go to Walmart since everything is very cheap there and there's no point of spending copious amounts of money for a newborn when they will simply grow out of the clothes within the next few months. I usually went to the Walmart in Albany, NY when I went up there for college, always amazing deals and convenient. SO, as soon as I enter the parking lot, complete war zone, people just don't know how to drive I guess, I saw several cars speeding in the parking lot when there were clearly people walking beside them, even some with babies in the stroller. Finding a spot was another disaster, I just parked far to avoid anyone hitting my car since I was wary about people driving. I walked in and asked an employee where the baby clothes are, she said "somewhere over there" and just pointed to a section of the store. I thought I was hallucinating. So here I go, on a hunt for baby clothes on Saturday afternoon, with no help from any employee. I finally find the section for baby clothes and each hanger had a different size matched to the actual outfit. Not a big deal, I found what I needed and proceeded to check out and just wanted to get out right away. BUT NOPE, 1 minute waiting on the longest line of my life, and a fight breaks out. At first, Security and Walmart employees didn't even get involved and just left it up to the customers to try and break it up. Everything came to a halt and every cashier stopped ringing everyone up just so that they could see what was going on. People are getting pushed and shoved out of the way, and I was with my grandmother and great-aunt who are both well over 70 years old and if someone were to push them then they'd probably fall down and hurt themselves very badly. Wish I could post videos on yelp, since I took one. But I guess screenshots of the video will have to suffice. While finally getting to the front of checkout the cashier was just so miserable and unfriendly, but hey, I'd be the exact same way if I ever worked in an establishment like this. I'm sure there are a handful of helpful employees in this store, however through my experience it was hard to even find someone willing to help me for one simple thing. I will literally have to be sedated to ever come back into this Walmart. Everyone beware. read more
