This place is an absolute mess, always crowed, you couldn't find help if you were dying in the aisle, and the workers all think they're doing you a favor. ZERO stars-ELECTRONICS DEPT. My first experience at the Valley Stream location has lead me to decide that I will not be a Walmart shopper. I asked the person in electronics ( a young man who says his name is Ross but Im not certain it is) about the Roku Express Plus. He seemed annoyed that I asked, dismissively told me they don't have it, and when I asked if he can look at whether another Walmart has it he walked away and told me that I won't find it on the east coast. I continued to try to ask him who can help me if he cannot, because I saw online that Uniondale might have it. He turned to me and said thats far. He kept walking away. I was upset because I did not care how far it was- I wanted to know if it was available at another location. I went to my car and did some research and calls on my own and found that the Uniondale store has it. They were so nice - much better experience. I returned to the young customer rep and informed him that Uniondale store has it, and that he was not helpful. He walked off and said "oh well sweetheart". I was so upset that i went back to him while he was speaking to another customer and asked his name -he said "Ross". I found my interaction with him condescending and of extremely poor service. read more

I'm not against going to Walmart while living in NY. It's expensive enough living here so when I found out of about this Walmart I felt it would be a great penny-pinching deal to go here. Wrong. So wrong. First lets talk about the mess of a parking lot littered with trash,needles, vomit and the confusing pot holed entrance getting here? Horrible. Depressing. Employees are rude, typical Walmart experience and miserable. It's crowded and I feel like I'm playing Mario Kart just to maneuver my way around the dam store. Nobody cares if you say excuse ( chance aren't they don't care nor understand English) and will stop in the middle of the aisle to hold a ratchet conversation. Shelves aren't stocked properly. Maybe because its in such high demand but lots of empty shelves and products are missing. Produce is bad. Like rotting dirty bad. Lines are like Kmart. An endless wait. I don't think I'll ever rate any Walmart more than 3 stars but this one definitely takes the crown for the worst I've ever been to. I came here yesterday to pick up an online order. I can say it was the worst shopping experience I ever had. This place is a GHETTO ZOO!!! The employees are animals that are lazy and always have an attitude!! Stay away from this place!! The prices are good but it's not worth the stress you going to get. The customer service at this store is atrocious. We ordered two items online for pickup, were told on Friday that theyr'e available for pickup. Got to the store; only one item was available. The other was still on the truck. We left with just the one item. Tuesday, we checked the order status again and it said the second item was now available. Got to the store, were told the item was still on the truck and only a manager could open it, but, "finding a manager around here is like finding a needle in a haystack." (That's a quote.) We waited 20 minutes and then left empty-handed to return to our jobs. That's two unsuccessful trips to the store. After speaking with Walmart .com's customer service, I was told I had to take it up with the store; they have no authority. I called the store, was placed on hold immediately, then told I'd be transferred. I explained the issue to the next rep. and was told I'd be transferred. I explained the issue (third time) to the next person who answered and was told, "The person in that dept. is very busy, so I have to keep transferring you until she picks up." I said, "She did pick up and she transferred me. Why would she transfer me?" The rep. said, "Okay, I'll transfer you to a manager." I waited on hold a long time. At last, someone in the Pickup dept. answered (I never got through to a manager) and said the item is right here and I have seven days from Friday to pick it up before the item is returned/refunded. So, now I have to make a third trip to the store with very little promise, based on track record, of returning with my item. read more

I placed an order several weeks ago , an as Policy stated I received an email stating my order was ready for pickup. Upon arriving It was explained to use the Kiosk to check in for pick up, shortly thereafter I was given my item. Thank you Wal-Mart for your customer service. read more

This place is insane due to crowds but it's a supercenter so I can understand. Every time I come here, it's always crowded & people fight for parking like vultures. The lines are extremely long. Today I've literally stood in the checkout line for 30 minutes & it hasn't even moved. The "express checkout" allows 20 items or less which is way too much because that's practically everyone. As a billionaire dollar company it would be nice to hire more cashiers to speed up the lines. I had only 4 items so thank god this worker told me that I can check out at the pick up area since it was ridiculous for me to wait with so little items. This place should be renamed Ghetto Mart. I have never seen anything like this. Unfortunately this is the closet Walmart to me so when necessary I have to come here. I came here yesterday with a friend because she needed a microwave and I was looking for a gingerbread house kit. Upon entering the store the first thing I heard was yelling. A customer and a sales associate were arguing very loudly; cursing and screaming. It was defused within minutes, I asked another sales associated where were the gingerbread house kits located he stated he wasn't sure and for me to asked the manager that was standing next to me. I proceeded to ask the manager where the gingerbread kits were located and I was out right ignored by the manager. I tried to get his attention again thinking maybe be hadn't heard me the first time, once again I was ignored. His focused was on the sales associate that was previously engage in an argument with the customer. The manager called the sales associate several time telling her to come to him because he needed to talk to her. The sales associate just ignored the manager and kept working. Okay!!!!! So at this point the sales associate the I had initially approached came to me and stated he would help me find what I was looking for. He directed me into the general area but I still didn't see what I was looking for so I asked yet another sales associate. She rudely response "their over in the seasonal section, if you don't see non we don't got non". Really???? She responded in such a manner like I was stupid and should have known where they were located. I guess she did help because I found them. My friend and I had split up so we could get out this place that much faster. She called my phone to find out my location and while we're on the phone I can hear more yelling because another argument was taking place in the area she was in. Once I told her I was by the check out line and going to get on line so meet me there her response was like yes let's get the hell out of here before a fight breaks out. The cashier who line we was on was very nice and got us out of there quick. Upon exiting the store you have to show your receipt to security to exit. Which I think is stupid because all he does is look at your receipt but not your merchandise. So again we're standing on line to show security our receipt. Only one security guard is at the door and their are several people trying to exit the store at the same time. So what happens you ask??? Yes another argument. Smh I can't honestly say I won't ever come back here again because again this is the closet Walmart to my house but I will definitely minimize my visits here. read more

Walmart is the epitome of what it means to work at the bottom of the food chain. The employees have no energy for the work they are paid minimum wage to do. The store is disorganized. The employees do not care to help or assist you. Additionally, no one knows where anything is. Good luck finding the things you need. The lines are extremely long and the staff slow. This is the worst place to shop in the US! I try my best not go here, but when I do, every time my luck someone is stabbed, beat up, police everywhere! The parking lot is filthy looks like a garbage dump, the place is crowded with unruly people arguing fighting, it is insane! I beg to differ about the workers though. Each and every time I ask for help they go out of their way to help me. Always professional and always very helpful. But, management needs to do something about the lines and that parking lot is full of garbage ALL the time. I would drive to Suffolk county or the one in Garden City before I have to deal with the aggravation when going there. So I Just want to say we have to do better as people. Apart from this store looking a mess the workers don't know where anything is . We wandered all over the place looking for a Nap mat and no one knew which aisle or which area. One associate sent us to domestics from domestics to sporting goods and from sporting goods to toddler bedding. Another worker seen us looking and offered his help and took my friend to show him blankets all the way on the other side of the store. After reading the reviews, I decided to go on a weekday in the afternoon. Once I drove into the parking lot, it was chaos, people blocking the lot with their carts, parking a mile away. Pleaded and Customer Service for one hour. It's very hard with kids and not fair, a place to sit. If there is a line of customer service there should automatically be more employees available. I shopped for about 20 minutes, waited in line to pay for a half hour. The cashier could not price match, the manager was not available to come and correct the price. Walmart Valley stream location. Where do I start? I use to enjoy coming here for their awesome selection of foods. The past few months they are going through a transformation of the aisles in the store. Now the aisles are way to narrow for two carts to pass each other, or accommodate the crowds of shoppers, the new layout of foods makes no sense, especially that the bath and beauty products are way across on the other side of the store so I have add to my stress level and time to get there amongst the poorly designed aisles. The cashier lines are not defined making it a cart traffic jam high tensions and confusion. The parking lots main entrance across from BJs is redesigned with a fence wall and trailers to create a bottle neck of one lane access tac on another 20 min just to get the open spots on the other side, thank you, for making it worse then it was. The rude low class of people with mysterious friends with full carts to skip you, cause" oh, we are together"on the hellish line you been standing on for 15 -30 minutes. Or the one cart 5 different transactions people, or the people who get the groceries rung up only to find out hey I have no money to pay for this, take that off I want that take that, etc... Its a horrible experience to shop there now, but I did save a bunch of money. My wallet appreciates it, my heart rate nerves and patiences does not. F you walmart! read more

Gets one star because I came for iwatch accessories. Can't find anything in electronics looks like a zoo and it's not even Black Friday. No one greats to see if need any assistance you pass so many employees none say hello nor do they smile. ALWAYS crowded. Never ending lines. 2 stars for location and pricing. Good luck finding a sales associate to assist you. They're all either at the register (which still amazes me that even after having damn near there entire staff at the register, the lines still move slow) or hiding in the mini food court area talking to their friends.Even if your lucky to find an associate that's not occupied, they probably will tell you to "check aisle 7" (that's where they send people when they're not sure where things are). I was really turned off after the incident on black Friday where a worker was trampled to death. Like really? How is someone trampled to death? Where was the security? Drove to this location from the Bronx on the way to Jones Beach. It was my first time visiting and I will not be returning, ever. The people are like ants here at every turn. In the store it's unorganized and crowded. The register lines were insane ! Luckily, I was able to check out in the back section for Home and gardening stuff. The way the people walk around in the parking lot is ridiculous. They walk and park as though they own the place. No consideration for others whatsoever. I did not expect so many people on a weekday.
