Kathaleen W. I have been shopping at this Walmart since Dec.2013. And I have never been treated rude. The workers are helpful and polite, cashers are fun and fast always have a smile. The store is clean and well kept. And easy to find what you need. The only sad part is when they pulled their wounderful Stan the greeter from his calling because he gave little stickers to the children. And still there are times when I'm going in or out and hear kids that want to know where that Stan went.. And just to the house keepers at store the stickers were vary simple to get off floors or anything else. How do I know experimented when I went shopping twice. read more

I was at Walmart because the items I was looking for were less there. I had to wait in line along with all other customers in line for at least 25-30min. Because there were not enough cashiers. Further when I asked the cashier to call for more help they nodded only. I asked to speak to a manager they nodded. The head cashier said they removed the phones so clerks are not allowed to call for extra help. They also are not able to call for security or police as folks were becoming agitated in line. It was not a great shopping experience. I have called the corporate office and filed a complaint. I had to wait 20 more min before a manager arrived he moved as slow as molasses and said there's enough cashiers there now and said I am sorry but his body language said otherwise. read more

It's rumored nickname: Vantuckymart -- because it's the one place in Vancouver you may want to avoid after watching groups of people steal merchandise, a half-dozen employees chasing them through the parking lot to their getaway Honda ricer that speeds through the parking lot at 100mph, and a dozen patrol cars hunting them down. If you're looking for a new TV, don't shop here! They're always outdated and severely over-priced! A 100% mark-up on TV's vs prices found elsewhere is just not cool. Electronic prices rarely go down at this warehouse-leader-wannabe--flash memory cards have been the same high price for months here, even though their value has been cut in half a couple of times since the prices were set at the store. The lines are long 24/7/365. There's never enough cashiers here when I go. Sometimes I go in the auto maintenance entrance just to avoid the front, but there isn't always an employee back there to check out your purchases or even let you out if you already bought them. While we're on the subject of the car section, I might mention that the price of oil there jumps up and down by several dollars depending on what day or week you're there; and don't by their generic stuff unless you want your engine to fall apart. If you're grocery shopping, the juice is cheap and the prices are generally only a few cents above Winco, but like Winco, there is also no organic fruit or vegetable to be found here and what fruit is here, you'll have to pick through to avoid the bruised, moldy, and rotten. The restrooms up front are often closed for cleaning so you have to walk to the very back of the store to use one--maybe they'll clean those one day. The biggest movie selection is in giant bins that you'll need to bring a couple of carts along to dig through. The good: 1. There's usually someone that actually says "have a nice night" as you leave the door now instead of harassing you for a receipt. 2. If ever there is absolutely NOTHING to do on a Vancouver late night, there is ALWAYS some entertainment at "Vantuckymart." Whether it's people-watching for freaks and hermits, watching police chases through the parking lot from the comfort of your safely-parked-in-the-back-corner car, or watching shop-lifters dash through the store out the front door, you'll be sure to be amused. 3. It's easy to get into from the freeway. 4. You can get a late-night McDonalds gut-buster to chew on while you shop. 5. You can get your hair, eyes, and nails done at the same place you get your car oil changed (I've never done any of these and cannot attest to their quality, but they're apparently available during certain daylight hours) 6. There's an Arby's, Jack in the Box, Subway , and 76 gas station in the parking lot. 7. The electric scooters, while slower than walking and evil-stare attracting, are nicer on the feet when you don't feel like walking five blocks to get some apple juice and food for your fish at 2am. 8. It's open all night, for your emergency shopping needs and free late-night entertainment pleasures 9. There's some groceries here, and they're almost as inexpensive as Winco 10. They have a better selection of movies than the Redbox that's usually broken at the front of the store anyway 11. You can watch the Walmart Channel for free 12. They take credit cards -- hypothetically speaking, it wouldn't even have to be your's, since they don't generally check id's (case in point: don't lose your credit card at Malwart) 13. Let's face it: this may be the only mile you walk this week! 14. Albeit a bit pricey for my tastes, a very large selection of Chinese-made goods 15. Cheap candy 16. Sam's Choice Cola -- I know, it's weird, but if you're a sugar-high-craving soda pop fan, you'll may find it tastes better than Coke or Pepsi. 17. The security won't tackle you if they've think you walked out without paying for something; they'll just tell you to drop it and then chase you across the parking lot. 18. I was in the bathroom trying to poop when an old lady named Marianne who was an employee came into the ladies room and yelled "I'm turning the lights off and locking this bathroom up for the night!" and out went the lights!!! mid-turd, I shrieked and responded with "No, I am a customer and I am on the toilet, please don't!" I was so scared of being in there and treated that way, that I wiped inefficiently and scurried out. She seemed pleased in my fear and went on her way. read more

Most horrific customer service of any Walmart I've ever been to... and Im not from here. I have very few words for how the management treated my family. Awful. If you can avoid this store- by all means... do. Fred Meyers down the street was MUCH friendlier. read more

I've been unimpressed with this location for years mostly because it was dirty, the cashiers were slow and not very helpful, and the shelves were always seemingly empty. However, recently this store got a new store manager and it looks fantastic! It's like the store is going through spring cleaning. The shelves are fully stocked, the staff is getting friendlier, and it's just all around becoming much better. read more

This review is for the auto department. I came in to simply get a battery for my wife's suv. The attendant encouraged us to have the battery installed since it is free with a battery purchase. I asked how long it would take for our specific vehicle, not wanting to spend a ton of time in WalMart if at all possible, and two 'technicians' looked and said it would be 10-15 minutes. I have replaced plenty of batteries, including one on this very vehicle (10-15 mins was an accurate assessment) but figured 'meh why not, I'll let them do it'. My mistake. I am over 1.5 hours sitting here, watching some 'expert' sweat and stare blankly under the hood. There is one 13mm bolt to remove to gain access to the battery. If this throws one of their 'technicians' a curve ball then I would hate to trust them with any more than simply hooking up a battery. read more

This is the worst Walmart I've ever felt with!! I called and the phone rang for 20 minutes at costumer service with still no answer. Then I called back and tryed electronics with no answer after 10 minutes either. The people at costumer service at the store are rude to costamers constantly. I will drive a extra 4 miles to another Walmart at night or if it's something I can't get at winco a mile past this Walmart !! read more

Ok selection, and prices, the night crew are not very friendly though, said hi and asked about their night and were just rude, they don't even acknowledge your existence, and when you speak to me they're snappy and talk to you like you're stupid. Nothing is ever stocked fully, and the women's garment area is a complete wreck, unorganized. I feel uncomfortable going to this Walmart, so I will drive the extra 5 min to drive to the one up the road. read more

This review is only about the car service and it sucks! We went early cause it was snowing wanting oil change, new tires and new wind shield wipers. We came to walmart because we were already going to go there and the tire shops were packed due to the snow. We got in at around 9:30 and expected it to take awhile. They explained to us they would call us when the work was done well it was 12:15 we were still waiting we come back and they say "oh yeah your car is ready"! I asked what time the car had been finished 10:50!! I was so mad I work graveyard and so does my husband so we came right after work and haven't slept so we were very mad. They had us waiting more then an hour. Then when we get in our car we noticed they messed up our window and the plastic that goes around had a huge hole! I know we might not have a new car but still it's a huge hole! I was about to go complain but there was a huge line and my husband didn't want me go and make a scene. I won't be coming here again it might be cheaper but I would rather spend more for good fast service. read more

This store is not customer oriented. Often times the lines are large. The jewelry department at this Walmart and the others in the city are not well staffed. We waited for over 30 minutes after having customer service call overhead for help 3 different times, we ended up leaving after making complaint to the manager that was easy to place the blame elsewhere but went on to say, "what do you want me to do about it?"... I am disabled and in 5 attempts in the last week and not having any ride on carts, we went to Fred Meyers for what we wanted. I would highly never recommend this store or any of the Walmart stores in Vancouver. read more

I am a fan of Walmart at this location. I am disabled veteran and don't walk all that great. My friend Stan, Charles and others often help me find a electric cart. I know almost everyone in the store as I shop there nearly everyday. One of the friendliest is Danny. He always ask me how I am doing? One of the evening shoppers who fills orders for people is super. I cannot remember his name but he use to work the door as security and is a single parent and is black. He always was super nice to me when I came in the door. Jacquline is super also, she would often times have a cart ready for me when I hobbled in. The only bad thing about this Walmart is that often times the electric carts are not available. This forces me to shop elsewhere. I spoke to some of the employees and they tell me there are 6 of them broken in the back of the store. Being a business type person before becoming disabled I never turned down someone who wanted to spend money. That is business 101. So recently my visits to this store have been very little. I have been shopping at Fred's and Safeway instead. I would think having more operational carts would increase profitability and revenue. The more shoppers you have the more they spend. Again, business 101 applies. I drive by the entrances once in awhile and the door slides open and still no carts. read more
