My wife needed a new pharmacy after changing doctors for convenience. She made certain to have all…read morethe information readily available prior to having the prescription electronically sent, as the medication is quite a delicate one. From the beginning, she felt they were very prejudicial about it, even saying "the insurance needed preauthorization" for a medication she had been taking for over a dozen years. When she called to ask what the issue was, they ran it again and it was just fine. Today, they called to say they couldn't fill the medication because the prescriber wasn't in the immediate area and they could only fill those from the immediate area. Mind you, they've filled it several times but they just "couldn't believe it hadn't been flagged before". It's from less than 3 hours away and insurance is perfectly fine-filled perfectly on time. Then it was a "Good luck finding another pharmacy!" This has been a terrible experience for my wife, who had been so happy to have the ease of a hometown pharmacy. I would suggest you avoid this pharmacy if you aren't a local or have a medication they may not agree with (Even if they don't know why you take it or your health history). It often concerns me that pharmacists have the power to make medical decisions that should be between a patient and their physician. I understand abuse of medications happens, but utilizing common sense happens, as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of customer service I experienced at the CVS pharmacy…read morein Waynesboro. In the past, I received horrible service at other CVS locations. I only returned because CVS prices for my prescriptions are much less expensive than other pharmacies and they're open 7 days a week. To contact the pharmacy, I had to leave a voicemail, which was concerning. I assumed that the pharmacy must be understaffed and overrun with customers. But I received a call-back promptly, and the staff member was very pleasant and helpful. On occasions when I went inside to pick up my prescriptions, the lines moved quickly. I was really touched by how several pharmacy staff members interacted with patients who clearly had emotional and physical challenges. The staff were incredibly kind, respectful and sincere, going above and beyond to treat each person with respect and dignity. Based on my positive customer experience, I plan to transfer all my prescriptions to this CVS.

I waited for 45 minutes for a call back. Finally I called to see what the update was; the manager said he was put on hold for 20 minutes, before essentially giving up because "the store hours aren't posted", (the store hours are posted) When I called my home CVS, I was told "The pharmacy is closed" and the operator hung up, so that made me question if the manager ever called my home CVS in the first place. When I asked why I didn't get a call back, the manager blamed me saying "you never gave a number" which coming from someone who has worked in telemarketing; If you need a callback number you ask. Usually the phone number of the caller comes up onscreen when on call, and you can go into call history if you didn't write it down. In the long run, don't waste your time dealing with this pharmacy, go down the road to the Walmart Pharmacy for better luck

I am going to try and make a very long story short. If you have Tricare and are looking for a new…read moreparticipating pharmacy stay away from Antietam even if Express Scripts website shows it is an active participant. If I could leave no stars I would. Just this week I found out that Carl's Drug Store (don't get me started on that) no longer was accepting Tricare. So immediately I got on Express Scripts to find participating pharmacies and found Antietam which I chose because of the excellent reviews (probably because they don't have Tricare) and the fact it is locally ran by a family. We try and support small town businesses which is why we chose Carl's Drug Store that proved to be a mistake. So I requested my prescriptions to be transferred from Carl's on Tuesday and never heard back. So today I finally called Antietam to see if my prescription request went through or if they have received any from my provider. They informed me that they no longer were accepting Tricare but I mentioned the website. They said it was a mistake and that they were dropped from the program. So I spent about an hour on the phone with Express Scripts who were looking into the matter. The very nice and apologetic representative even got her manager involved. On their end it noted Antietam was indeed still part of the program and it showed generated co-pays when they entered my prescriptions. Ultimately I was able to get my prescriptions transferred to Martins but would have preferred somewhere closer. So I called Antietam back to give them a heads up because I did not want other customers going through the same situation that I am. When I told them that I was on the phone with Express Scripts and that their program even showed what the co-pays were for Antietam, the pharmacist said it was impossible because they were not part of the program since September of 2021. When I expressed my concern that other patients would go through the same headaches. He finally informed me that they knew in MARCH that they were still being showed as part of the Tricare program. When I said they may want to call Tricare and find out what is going on his response was "their mistake, their problem". Antietam also informed me that Express Scripts dropped them from the program only to find out that they just did not want to meet certain requirements to stay active. It started to bother me the more I thought about it because they should have notified me immediately when I requested transfers that they no longer accepted Tricare rather then me calling back after hearing nothing. They have no interest in calling Tricare to confirm that they are still active participates of the program. They seem to not care about the Military or their families because they know that Tricare is still saying they are part of the program but they are telling new/existing customers they are not. They do not seem to care if they are inconveniencing customers by forcing them to go without needed medications. They lack any accountability and place all the blame on Express Scripts (Tricare). Since talking to Antietam to give them a heads-up that they were still part of the program I I called Express Scripts back to inform them the answers I received from the pharmacist. Express Scripts is going to try and make corrections to their website so others will not have to go through my experience. They also gave me the phone number and address so I can file a grievance against Antietam because they are knowingly telling new/existing customers they no longer accept Tricare when they are still being acknowledged as part of Express Scripts program but not doing anything to confirm their status. In the grievance I will state all the information in this review as well as they are aware of the problem but lack any motivation to contact Tricare to solve this matter because according to Antietam Pharmacy it is Express Scripts mistake so it is their problem. I am so glad to know that several Military Veterans, Families, and Active Duty Members are a problem to serve because Antietam lacks any accountability in the matter. People like my husband who have put their lives on the line and served this Country for people like the ones who run Antietam Pharmacy only to be informed they are not even worth the time or effort of making a phone call to confirm or deny their eligibility status of the Express Scripts program. Antietam Pharmacy like many others need to stop lying by saying they are dropped from the Express Scripts program when they just really do not want to serve anyone with Tricare. However they used being dropped from the program as an excuse to make themselves look better to the community. I will still support mom and pop businesses but I will not support liars who claim to support our Communities which include several Military Families when it is a bunch of B.S.

I get my prescription filled every month right around the same day each month, I've dealt with her on multiple occasions and has been rude, disrespectful and nasty to me almost everytime I've went to fill my script ( especially if there were issues or questions about it) this month was the worse! May 22nd 2026 I had my dr send over my prescription and they asked for it to be filled today as I wa leaving out of town and needed to pick it update rather than tomorrow. This became a WHOLE ISSUE apparently, I called and asked why they were you refusing to fill my prescription and explained I needed it today ( to clarify my insurance covers my medication to be filled and picked up 2 days before the 30 day marks ) it was abnormal for me to pick my medication up on the 28th day of my months considering the type of medication it is and I have to leave my town to go there to pick up. Anyway, they returned my call over an hour later, Ethel was immediately rude to me, talking down on me when I was being polite and just trying to figure this out, she claimed my insurance needed to prove this request because it was before fill date ( in her mind ) so I called my i immediately after and spoke to the women who told me, my medication that I've been on for 6 years was approved to be picked up on day 28 every month and that Ethel didn't even try to run the medication on her end. My insurance offered to call them and speak to her. They got back to me and said " I spoke with Ethel, she said that this would be the ONLY time she would fill this medication and she would refuse todo it anymore after this" so here I am confused on why this women thinks she has ANY say about my medication. She thinks she own this pharmacy , she thinks she's a fucking doctor apparently because she is still in there thinking she can tell people when they can pick up there medication even though MY DOCTOR AND INSURANCE APPROVED IT. I will never ever use CVS for anything, myself, my family, my friends, my whole community is going to hear about this and I will make it my personal mission to have her taken out of this position because it is not okay to withhold people medication and treat them badly because you think your some sort of god. I will be speaking to corporate, and anybody else above her that can this women a reality check because she needs one! DONT NOT USE THIS CVS OR ANY CVS FOR ANY PRESCRIPTIONS OR SHOPPING!!!

When I first moved to the area just a few months ago, I chose this pharmacy as my top option based on its high ratings and positive reviews. But that changed in an instant, and they are no longer my number one pharmacy. I was having surgery, and I had my prescriptions sent to this Pharmacy. I got a call from the staff saying that they couldn't fill my oxycodone prescription because they were backordered 3 to 6 months. That's unacceptable. That's a prescription that should be easily filled. It shouldn't be backordered. I asked where else I could find it, and they suggested calling Wegmans, which had it in stock and filled it very easily. I don't understand how a pharmacy could not have a prescription that is so common and needed when someone has surgery, like I did. They filled the other three prescriptions I had sent in for different things during my first couple of months. However, when you can't fill a simple prescription like that, you quickly switch to a place that can fill everything, and that's where I am now. I can't in good conscience recommend using Choice Pharmacy because they let me down at a time when I needed them the most.

It was only recently that my…read morephysician introduced me to this pharmacy and I wish I had known about them A LONG TIME AGO!! I'm never turning back to drug stores. I told several hundred people today on a group chat about them today too that see the same physician I was so impressed! I am not in the DC area, however, that is where my specialist is located where I fly in see him a few times a year. No problem there! All of my meds are shipped to my doorstep in Illinois with just a few buttons I press on their app (for free). The longest I've ever had to wait for them is 2 days! This morning, I was switching to a medication due to a side effect to another one and I used their app chat (from the convenience of my bed) to ask all kinds of questions. I even asked a question about potency compared to my previous medication and I was given a calculation; one that all pharmacists learn, but never tell you or take the time to figure it out like they should. I was blown away!! I do everything on the app and I've only had to call once when I set everything up before I knew how to use the app. My medications are so much cheaper, and in the winter when there are huge snow storms or on days I feel like total trash I don't need to run to the store, I just break out my phone! A HUGE convenience! Everything always arrives securely, packed with care. It really takes a lot for someone or any company to impress me these days and I was impressed! I've been impressed since day one! Don't hesitate to try it out! They worst that could happen is you go back to your mainstream drug store, which I can say with confidence won't happen after you experience CaryRX. Another reviewer said, "Your life will be so much better". I agree 100%! Your life will never be the same.

It was that bad. To the point I's feel sorry for the employees if they didn't make me run around for 40 minutes trying to find 2 items (honestly). Needed one item. Asked pharmacy. They told me to go to the front. The front sent me to the back. They finally looked and then a second person in the pharmacy at the back directed me correctly. Made purchase and returned to car. Fine. 2 min later realized I needed something else. Went back in the store, checked aisles because honestly I didn't want to interact with these people who clearly hated being there. Couldn't find it, so I asked the front. Same story--kid told me to check the back. At pharmacy in the back, they told me to check with the front because the front stocks the shelves. Are you kidding me??? Why does a business (esp a pharmacy) exist except to provide a service people are willing to pay for? Spare yourself unnecessary idiocy and go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
