I know the Walmart store, but I seldom shop there. During this World Cup, there are many social media clips showing the surprises of the USA, from the eyes of foreigners. One such post says, "Walmart is like a museum"-didn't specify what kind of museum. Sarcastic, probably, but passing by it today, I went in, it requires no admission -:) Seriously, I use its delivery service several times a week, sometimes twice a day, and I've been a happy customer for a few years and will continue using it. I recently went to the Walmart in Wimauma to purchase ink cartridges for my Hewlett Packer printer. When I found out the price of a black and color ink cartridge, I realized why they are kept in a locked cabinet. They seem to make up for the reasonable printer price by extorting you on the price of ink. As I was ready to purchase both items, a customer advised me that third party ink was 30 to 70 % cheaper and did the same job as HP ink. We asked the clerk at Walmart to show us cheaper but compatible ink for the HP printer and the customer and I ended up buying the lower price ink that was more than 50% cheaper. As I installed both cartridges on my printer, a warning light indicated the printer had detected non HP cartridges and no printing could be done. With opened cartridges and receipt I returned to Walmart and a new clerk offered my refund indicating that many customers were locked out of their printer due to a HP software update installed via WiFi on most HP printers. I used his tech savvy to purchase a laser printer which will last for years. My compliments to Walmart that made the refund and my goodbye to HP. I am sure I am not the first, nor will I be the last to post my frustrations with the Hewlett Packer ink scam. The "Penny wise and pound foolish" move by HP has made their competitors happy as the see their sales increase. read more

I returned two separate items and the guy scanned both return barcodes, but only one label printed up. He said that they were both on the one ticket. Two days later and only one return has registered and the other one is telling me to drop it off. I checked out my groceries today, 10/26/25 at 1:18pm, and when I got home I put the cold items away immediately and came back to the regular items later. (((Please see my revised comments below.))) I put everything away and realized my gum and large chocolate bar were not in any of the bags. Checked the car and not there either. I called the store but the recording said there were too many calls and to call back later. I will - I paid $5.48 for the chocolate and the gum was not listed so I didn't pay for that item. The person checking out went very fast and it's unfortunate that the chocolate bar didn't make the trip home. The carrots and pencils did. Funny about that. I will call again to try to reach the manager so I can go back in and get a replacement. It was terminal #55859213. And later that same day... big oops! very embarassed... I put my room temp things away just now. I had purchased a box of wooden pencils (love school supplies) and the box was the same size as that big chocolate bar. They had been stuck together and I didn't notice that when I put the box of pencils on the counter. Until just now. Picked up the pencils to take into my office and my candy bar fall off the back. It kind of broke, but it was very delicious. I owe Terminal #55859213 a big apology. I am sorry I judged so fast. It's Sunday and I won't go back on a Sunday! So crowded. But all the Walmart produce, especially my favorite apples, is the best in Sun City Center. Beats Winn Dixie, Aldy and Publix in every way. And yes, few employees may speak English but they have a translator app on their phones that helps a lot. Walmart also has better international choices in seasonings, sauces etc than the other stores. The big carts in the aisles restocking all day long are a pain and I won't go back on the weekend. What can I say, it's a Walmart. I'm in the area and it was first thing in the morning but I needed a bottle of windshield washer fluid so I stopped in. I took off a little extra time and wandered through the store a bit. There were quite a few people shopping even though it was kind of early. I was impressed by being in a location that has shelves that are quite full of product but there were pallets of goods through the entire store. It made it a little difficult getting around parts of it but with the full shelves I couldn't really complain. I picked up a few items in grocery that I had no attention of buying and then looked at some other sections of the store on my way to automotive. I couldn't help but stop to look at the toys because I always know someone looking for toys. Usually something very specific. I finally made it over to automotive section and found my washer fluid immediately. Overall I have to say I rather like this store because I could find so many things to buy even though I didn't necessarily need them. This store also has more self checkouts than any other Walmart I have ever been in. I like the fact that it meant that I could get out very quickly. I like to stand in line as little as possible when shopping. The few associates I made eye contact with seemed friendly and happy with their jobs. They have a lot of the usual things you find in Walmart such as a pharmacy and an eye care center. I was sad to see that this one has a subway in it. My local Walmart recently got a chicken place that was paired with the pretzel place they have and they're hugely popular. I would definitely shop in this Walmart again next time I am staying in the area. read more

Don't recall his name, but the older gentleman working the counter was fantastic, and the only reason it got a star at all. I feel sorry for him that he had to explain and apologize to everyone for 3/4 of the mechanic crew at the Wimauma store and he was busting his ass to please everyone. That guy had work ethics, I am truly amazed with him, he's a rare breed and deserves a medal and a big raise. The others showed up 2 hours late, probably after partying late on a Saturday night and being hung over when they came in because they were dragging when they worked. The old man had enough motivation for all of them! I spent 4 hours in that shop waiting for 4 tires to be installed and to top it off, some young, totally unmotivated cashier named Cesar didn't tell me my truck was ready and let me sit there another 5 minutes. And when I got up and went to the counter, he didn't wait on me, he instead started wrapping rubber bands around the top of the bag hanger and ignored me, wouldn't look at me. After a minute of that I asked him if he dealt with customers with vehicles, and he said yes. Then I had to prod him to check me out and give me my keys. Worthless bunch! read more

Horrible service at Walmart Auto Center. Had an appointment but waited over 3 hours for them to do an oil change. The mechanic said he had problems with the new filter and the filter game out and oil gushed all over my engine. My engine is covered in oil and the interior of my fairly new truck smells terrible. Oil is dripping all over my driveway. They screwed up the oil change and when I talked to the front end manager he said he could not do anything. Horrible service at that auto center. I will have to pay to have my engine cleaned now. Managers there do not care at all. read more

I went to Walmart today (2/21/21) for an oil and lube. The sign board both outside and inside indicated the Pit Stop oil & lube was $22.88 That's what I wanted and thats what I asked for. Away I went shopping only to get a text calling me back to the shop. The young man there proceeded to tell me "we do not have the oil that goes with the Pit Stop so we will have to charge you for the standard oil change which is $32.88!" What he should have said was "we do not have the oil that goes with the Pit Stop so we will have to upgrade the oil and STILL GIVE YOU THE PIT STOP price of $22.88!" That's good customer service. So now I'm unhappy right at the start. Now I'm called back when the job was done. I paid and reviewed my bill to find that the Lube had NOT been done. So now I'm unhappy at the end. I ask the young man at the register and the tech who was present why the lube was not done. The tech says "a lube is not included in the Standard Oil Change and it wasn't noted that one was requested???" Flabbergasted, I can only reply, "THAT's WHY I WANTED THE PIT STOP WHICH INCLUDES THE LUBE." Blank faces. So now I'm completely unhappy and will spread the word. read more

I have been using Walmart's online grocery application, ordering groceries for pickup or delivery since the pandemic. The service has been very good up until today, I am now an amputee wheelchaired, so I can only order for delivery. Today my order of over $100, came with 9 items missing and one item I did NOT order!!!! I called the store and they took down the list and promised delivery later today. I have two issues: 1) does anyone do a quality control check from the order to what is packaged for delivery? and 2) who checks on the driver? does she report any packages NOT delivered or refused delivery to be returned to the store? Case in point, the eggs I refused--- does the store get them back? Further my delivery instructions required my signature and my driver today never asked me to sign. read more

Each time I visit Walmart I am reminded by their terrible service how much I hate Walmart. On Good Friday (April 2nd) when Tue store has hundreds of people shopping they literally only have two of their 26 checkout lanes open. It is not only this day, it is everyday. Don't shop here. You will spend just as much time waiting in a checkout line as you spent shopping. Self checkout lines are also incredibly long. Shelves are in disarray, bathroom smell bad, people working the register don't greet customers. Vegetable section looks like it's from a third world country. Disgusting. The whole store is junk. Ok so we all hate the stores there crowed and filled with obstacles so what if we get delivered items? Well they have a deal called Walmart plus. When you give them 98 bucks a year they deliver your stuff free right? Not so fast people Walmart will attach a tip for these people. Yea you don't get a choice you just pay. Well ok they let you try it free for 30 days so I did. I used it 3 times in 30 days. In the 3 try's they were unable to deliver my entire order. Always there was something missing ok. So I tell them about it which takes about 30 to 60 minutes and they might refund the money. That is unless your order is delivered by a 3rd party. Now it's up to you to deal wya 3rd party. You may or may not ever see your purchase or money again. Add that to inflation and see how you feel now. read more

After purchasing two Intex camping mattresses about a year ago and having them both fail when I tried to return them, I was refused. And actuality three of those Intex mattresses have failed because the first queen size mattress that we were using failed while we were using it for the first time and I returned it last year, after next on this trip when I went to return them, I was told I could not because it had been more than 90 days. The team that I spoke to, I will allow to remain anonymous, refused to return the mattresses or exchange the mattresses without the actual card that was used to purchase them. When I told him that card was closed, he said I will not do anything for you. I pointed out that the first mattress that was exchanged and the physical exchange why would I need it now? the records were in his computer and that was all the last person did in exchanging the mattress. He said I will not do that. So, for carrying inferior products, for extremely poor Customer Service and rude management employees; the Walmart supercenter on 674 in Wimauma gets one star. And I really don't want to give them that. read more

This place has 32 check out stands. 10 Of these are manned, leaving 22, more than 2/3 of them to be self check out. Out of the 10 "full service" Or "manned" stands today they actually have 5 open ( normally I've only seen 3) and 10 self check out open. The lines are down the aisles! It's ridiculous! And when I ask about opening more I get the answer of not enough staff... This is horrible and ridiculous! 1. I don't want to do thier job and check myself out and 2.Walmart, hire more people! read more

I would leave a zero star rating if I could. I needed to buy an item in a locked case in the beauty aisle so I asked 3 different employees to open the case and each one preceded to page the manager with the keys to open it. Over 30 minutes later (unfortunately that's not an exaggeration) there was still NO MANAGER. Apparently this location does not have managers or supervisors with keys. Don't waste your time here. I walked out without my item because I got tired of waiting. Maybe the manager would've showed up in an hour...who knows. read more

I do come here often since it is this closest Supercenter, however I'd rather go to another Walmart since this particular one does not typically carry some of the produce that I like. Lots of available parking here, and specific designated parking for golf carts! That's a bonus! This location is also typically well stocked. Overall it's an ok store. read more

It's a Wal-Mart, which about covers it all, lol. If you go during the day the place is usually very busy and the isles are full of people and the check out lanes move slow. If you go at night, even with less lanes open I am able to get in and out of the place much quicker. And being a night person, I do not mind late night shopping trips. I wish they had a larger selection of sugar free items such as Popsicle's, lol. They have a deli special going on where I purchased 1 lbs of turkey and 1/2 lbs of cheese for $9. This is a pretty decent price for some good meat. The fruit seems to have a fast turnover so it seems to always be fresh. read more

Not even worthy of 1 star! We ordered online to have the groceries delivered. The shopper for my order communicated all the way through and after the time the order was expected to be delivered, called the driver JOSE'. He stated he was on the way. 45 mins later he was taking the order back stating it was cancelled. The order was never cancelled! Then Jose' tells me he was taking my order to another delivery driver!? After 1 hour of calling this store to speak with a manager, I was told there were no managers in the store. I was hung up on more than 10 times. Even went the extra mile to go to a different department, still no answer. Walmart itself isn't a bad store, it's the people working in there that makes the shopping and the experience unprofessional and miserable. It's literally the last store we would go to and it has to be an emergency!! If you're reading this, don't order groceries online, there seems to be no one experienced enough to understand what customer service really means. We will be calling back tomorrow first thing to find out who the manager is that was on duty. Who allows their staff to answer a phone that's just going to hang up on them every time they call? People need to be evaluated on their ability to work in a customer service environment. There is NO WAY these people have a customer service background to manage customers. Do these reviews even help to fix issues like this?! I don't want to spend my money or efforts on companies that treat their customers like this. #265 We went this location hoping it wouldn't be as weird as a closer one (Gibsonton). This one is in Sun City. If you don't know what that is it is a predominately senior town full of golf carts. The store even has a special parking area for them. The store was less crowded, cleaner and well stocked compared to others we've been to. But that doesn't mean that there wasn't the usual quota of Wal-Martians. Its just that everyone was a bit older. While waiting for the wife I was on a bench inside looking at a road atlas (with 35% bigger maps for us old folk. A nice touch) and got hit on by someone's granny. I thought I was in The Villages there for a second but it ended quickly. I guess I'm a heartbreaker. Nicer Walmart than most and has a huge grocery section. read more

Long lines, disinterested workers, shuffling elderly, nightmarish parking, ugly carts, children without shoes on. So it's your average Wal-Mart. The Wimauma location has additional golf cart parking, for your sweet 'cart if you happen to live in Sun City Center. As always, 40 checkout lanes with only 2 open, so standing in line is generally the biggest chunk of your time investment here. It's relatively clean (as Wal-Marts go, anyway) and it earns bonus points for not being the Gibsonton Wal-Mart. I'd say I'm never coming back, but when I need a pack of pens, apple pie, jar of mustard, can of red paint, a new hat, some mouse traps, diapers, and needlenose pliers at 2am, I'll be here. I find it quite annoying that each Walmart charges different prices for the exact same items. I bought a college sized refrigerator at the Gibsonton Walmart which is very close to this store then saw the same one 9.00 more expensive at this location. I bought house paint at the Gibsonton Walmart then realized that I did not buy high gloss so I came to this location to exchange the paint. I was told that the paint cannot be exchanged because the UPC for matte vs high gloss are different. Ok I understand that, but the exact same brand paint matte or high gloss cost 1.37 more per gallon for each one. The 2 Walmarts are located very close to one another so why is this location so expensive? I asked the manager this & he said "its what the market will bear" Even the gasoline at the pumps here cost more than the Gibsonton Walmart. read more

I had to give 1 star to write the review but they deserve zero! I came in to get blood work at Quest, a mask is required so I tried to buy one at the walmart. I had to literally stand I. Front of someone stocking chapstick , I thought she might have noticed I was standing in front of her but I guess not I said excuse me 3 times she stayed stocking and put her finger up and said just a minute. Then looked up and said nothing so I asked where the mask were. She said try pharmacy like I'm an idiot. So I walk there, No masks.I asked another lady who said try gardening. I walk there. No mask! I asked a man there and he said try on the other side of the store where I just came from. I tried customer service a lady saw me standing there and kept walking a man finally came and said he doesn't think they have any and gave me a plastic one. He asked another employee who told him I don't know. Then as I was thanking the man for the mask the lady who said she doesn't know talks over me about a computer that's working again. I felt invisible and unvalued as a human. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was a horrible experience. We shop here a lot and we usually get our flowers at Publix near the house as they are a better price. But since we were already there two weeks ago we got our fresh cut flowers at Walmart. It was red roses and sunflowers. I'm sad to report they only lasted ONE DAY! We used the powder that came with it and didn't let them sit in the hot car. We put them in the vase as soon as we got home. We will never but the flowers there again! read more
