We recently purchased a 6 foot sub from the deli and are extremely pleased with how well it was prepared and packaged for us and readied on time! The quality and amount of deli meats was very generous. We especially loved the way the deli packaged the lettuce, tomatoes and condiments in separate containers so they wouldn't cause the sub to become soggy. Great job! Pro: big parking lot, subway store inside, self check out line, clean environment. Con: none. After moving into a temporary home here in Winchester and I went to scout out my new work place, this Walmart was literally 5 min away from my workplace which is a plus. This Walmart has a big parking lot and I was here around 9:30 am so it was still quite empty for a weekend. Upon enter I was hit with the smell of toasted bread and I thought this Walmart must have a restaurant inside. I was correct when I saw that it had a subway store. I like how this Walmart had atleast 10+ self check out register so I scan my items and went in my way. The recipe checker at the door didn't even check my receipt so I just rolled in our. All in all, not a bad experience compare to the Walmart in Germantown where the parking is always crowded and the lines are always long. read more

This Walmart we visited was in most ways like every other Walmart store, but Karlie the Upfront Cashier makes THIS store one of the BEST. My wife and I bought several bottles of a product we never saw anywhere else and Karlie offered to find a box to put them in which was something we appreciated very much. I was surprised to find this Walmart to be as good as it was. They're generally a little run down, with spaces in the shelves where items would be if they weren't out of stock. Or the floors are dirty. Or there aren't enough registers open. Well, that's not this Walmart today and that's why I'm rating them at five stars. Even the produce section was well cared for and tidy. Large selection of beers and wine. Neatly arranged mens wear department. A number of registers open with very short lines for a weekday at around dinner time when the after-work/after-school crowd would normally be coming through. Sick of the crappy customer service at this store. Just wanted to exchange a pair of pants and the "customer service" wasn't friendly and acted like I was bothering her by having her do her job. I have had way too many experiences like this at this store and finally felt like I had to say something. I am writing to express my concerns about a recent incident I experienced at a Walmart store. Unfortunately, I would like to bring to your attention the fact that my son and I received extremely unacceptable customer service during or departure on 1/05/2020 about 1:07 PM. Walmart address: 501 Wal Mart Drive Winchester VA 22603. My child and I walked towards the store exit doors pushing a shopping cart. I directed child to place the shopping cart by the hand sanitizer station. I grabbed the shopping bags that were filled with and proceeded through the doors. The heater blowers above the doors were a little loud but as we exited the store; I heard a someone scream other side FUCKING IDIOT! Not realizing those words were being said to my son we kept walking on the sidewalk. Sadly, I thought to myself who could be using those harsh words in public and I turn around to see the store greeter charging towards us. This associate name tag read "David." As David screamed, scoffed and rolled his eyes I expressed my concerns regarding his foul language towards a child with special needs. Dave tells me this is a good time for him to learn and kept rambling on. Fortunately, I realized that Dave was cantankerous and I didn't want this situation the escalade I walked away. Once in the car my son sobbed and said he was sorry he didn't know that the man was talking to him. To ensure that this situation would not damper my child long term I hugged him and told him that it's OK. Due to his special needs he's milquetoast most of the time. My son sobbed the duration on the car ride back home. After arriving home, I apologized to my son for that unfortunate experience at Walmart. My family and I have shopped at this Walmart many times and have never experienced an incident like this one. It was extremely disheartening to receive this type of harassment. Came here to pick up a few things, including some Cheetos snacks. Upon getting home, I discover that all 5 bags I purchased are over a year beyond their best/sell by date, and the contents are stale. While we were perusing plants in the garden center, a female employee decided to very sloppily water the plants despite the obvious impending rainstorm (dark clouds were right above the open-air garden center where we were all standing). It seemed that she was intentionally trying to hose my fiance and I out of the garden center. Forget asking any employee where to find the products you're looking for. I was a little upset after spending $346 in the store for luggage and Christmas stuff that I had to be stopped at the door before I went out so that she could make sure that my luggage which of course didn't fit in a bag had been charged. I did not appreciate the feeling of you think I'm a thief. And of course I was tired and I put the receipt in my pocketbook with my credit card and then I thought it was in my pocket of my coat and I was just it was just aggravating just kind of took away all the good spirit I had in the store. Why this Walmart only gets one star. 1) The store is alway dirty 2) customer service is the worst. Every time I'm in this store I'm dealing with someone who works there that is rude! Who doesn't want to help. Then when you bring it up to a manger and they tell you it's because they deal with customers all day. Tonight (12/30/2019) around 9pm I was at Walmart to exchange some shoes for my daughter that were too big. The lights were out in the customer service area and there was a sign that said for customers to go to register 7 for returns and exchanges. I listened to the sign, walked over to register 7 and waited my turn to be helped. Cindy, at the register was very nice and helpful and was happy to help me. As with all returns she needed a manager approval which she promptly turned her light on for. No one came. We waited and waited. No one came. No one being Deanna the supervisor for the registers. Two customers showed up with returns that went into the dark customer service and stood in line. Deanna finally came out of her office, looked over at register 7, saw the flashing light, basically made eye contact with me yet proceeded to ignore the light and help the two customers that decided to ignore the sign saying to go to register 7 and ignore the fact all the lights are off. I waited even longer. Deanna still didn't come. She helped both those customers while I waited even though I had been there before anyone else. Cindy and the cashier at register 6 were very apologetic that I was still waiting and wished they could help me. I had enough, I took a picture of this Deanna jerk that should clearly not be any kind of supervisor. She was so incredibly rude to me and didn't care at all that I had been waiting and told me I just needed to wait until she was done bc she was busy and then tried to tell me I was breaking the law by taking a picture. I told her it was my phone and I have a right to take a picture of whatever I want. I went back over to register 7 and told Cindy what happened. She was very nice and said she was so sorry I was being treated so rudely. I then had to take the shoes over to customer service bc the assistant store manager, Kristy, had finally been called over. I told her what was going on and she just stood there. Not saying anything. Just basically staring. Deanna threatened to call the cops on me for taking a picture. I told her go ahead bc I didn't do anything wrong. I just wanted proof for corporate and for yelp. She threatened again. This time I ignored her and turned back to Kristy and told her all I wanted to do was exchange the shoes and I would not be coming back to this Walmart bc other Walmart's have much friendlier customer service. (Except Cindy, she was very nice) The manager told me to go back and get the correct size. As I was walking back I called a sheriff deputy and asked him about the pictures and told him the story. He assured me this Deanna was wrongfully threatening me and taking pictures is NOT illegal as I am in public. This is public property and can therefore take whatever pictures I wanted. I will attach the picture to this review so everyone can see it was proof of what happened and nothing more. I stayed on the phone with the deputy until the end of the transaction. I also told Kristy that I was talking to a deputy and he told me Deanna was lying and it is not illegal to take a picture and she said she knew. So if she knew why did she just stand there and not say anything to Deanna when she was threatening me? Not very good management. Basically Deanna should never be allowed to work in customer service. She is the rudest most disgusting person I have ever encountered at a Walmart and I will definitely not be coming back to this location. And Kristy maybe needs some more training on management. I don't expect the most top notch service at Walmart but come on. Common curtesy, helping someone that was there first, not making a customer wait for more than 20-30 minutes, not talking so rudely to customers, not threatening customers.... basically simple human interaction should be expected. read more

Very clean and organized store! The bathroom was even clean which is very unusual for a Walmart.

For a company that makes $14.7 billion dollars a year, you all are horrible at staffing. Between 3pm-6pm you'll be waiting in line for 15-25 minutes because they keep only four lanes open. I waited in line for 28 minutes. The cashiers were doing their best to keep up but the managers were wandering around on their phones or chit chatting with one another. read more

Oh Walmart selling foreign made junk to Americans for years poisoning us with cheap plastics and other toxic chemicals. You can then attempt to buy food that's expired or there's always the fruits and vegetables covered and thousands of fruit flies. Most recently Walmart replace the nice friendly senior citizen door greeters With large scary man that jump out and demand to see your receipt. For a corporation that does more harm than good it's a shame to be treated like a criminal when I shop at my local Walmart. Perhaps someone should investigate Walmart for selling junk or expired food and vegetables full of flies. And then there's always the favorite if somebody doesn't want something or put it down on the shelf the moronic Walmart workers that can't tell that a warm refrigerated product should be thrown away put them back on the shelf for the next suspecting person to buy. In addition to all these problems there's also the issue Walmarts products don't scan correctly when they put things on sale and then you don't know till you get home and look at your receipt. Example 6 pack of Hershey bars that were on sale for 3.50 at the end of the summer for months rang up at the register for 4.65 How many people do you think Walmart ripped off with that scam I attempted to complain but the woman at the register told me she didn't know how to make it ring up at the correct price that I had to pay the additional cost despite the fact they were on the shelf with a big sign saying Hershey 350.
