Called to ask for an update on my glasses, a man answered and he was giving attitude when I asked him to repeat hisself when he took me off hold. Very strange tele-optometry experience. The optometry tech did all the machines and exams without introducing herself, explaining what each machine is testing, explaining how to position myself or what to hold onto or what to look for in each machine, or explaining that the optometrist is going to be virtually telling her what to do. Things were not adjusted well so I could tell my prescription was going to be off based on how careless the tech was. The virtual optometrist was very impersonal and rushing through things, I could barely hear her through the glitched audio and the video was severely lagging. Overall, I don't think "techs" should be performing the tasks of a licensed doctor. The training seems to be very off. read more

Still a great location. Some changes over the years. They now have Tele-optometrist coverage. The tech runs through the tests as usual. Then you go to the vision check room and the tech loads the video chat on the monitor. The optometrist (ophthalmologist?) runs through the data and has the tech make the adjustments to the machine. Unprofessional and incompetent. I booked an appointment for 2pm three weeks ago, yesterday they alerted me that the appointment would need to be at 4pm. I was put on hold for 10 minutes to be told the do not have a doctor to see me for an exam today at all, the 4 PM would be a "telehealth" appointment, for an eye exam? Apparently a tech does all the work and the actual doctor just signs the Rx. Would not do business with them. read more

Poor experience overall I think. I felt the optometrist was rude and rushing me. When the department manager saw me unhappy, she had called the optometrist to reexamine me etc. At the end, I got glasses here but I don't think I like them either. Overall not a positive experience. read more

They listen to your concerns and truly want to help. Chris who I believe is store manager has phenomenal customer service etiquette and Talena, (so great!) even stayed late one evening to make sure we were "all good". It's been a rough pandemic and a rough week - I moved into a new place thats not working out, I lost my credit card. my bike got stolen and I've got crippling plantar fasciitis that's going to take time I can't afford off work to heal. I spent the morning listening to Chris Hedges talk about how badly we're getting screwed by corporate totalitarianism that set the mood for another bad day. So I dragged myself to the bank to order a new card, because you have to do it in person of you've had a change of address, but I'm running late and it closes in 25 min and I forgot - no more bike. So I give up and head to Lens Crafters on swollen feet that don't work like they used to in hopes of getting my eyeglasses fixed after stepping on them - just a new eye pad and re-bend the frames I'd probably break if I tried with my big dumb hands and lack of proper tools. And that's when Julie entered my life - a rare mixture of affable and capable. Everything a man could ask for in customer service. She did it all when no one else was willing to and didn't charge. Right now it's about the only thing good that happened this week besides dinner with my sister. Sometimes it's the littlest things and we're all we've got in late stage capitalism. Corporations are psychopathic, and for all I know Eric Anderson could be another overpaid pos CEO making life worse for his employees and better for investors. But I "look for the helpers" as Mr. Rogers once said. And Julie's one of them. read more

I've been to the Canton LensCrafters for two yearly exams and have been very happy with the service, both from the front desk associates and the primary eye doctor, Dr. Krupa Verma. At my latest exam, which was during COVID, they were very meticulous about safety precautions and sanitizing surfaces and equipment used for the examinations. Dr. Verma is very approachable, friendly, and will take the time to fully explain any exam results or answer questions you have. The front desk associates are efficient with billing and ordering contact lenses, as well as helping with glasses adjustments. They were able to fix the fit of my glasses in just a few minutes and send me on my way. I've always been able to schedule an appointment online within a week or less, and they send reminder emails to keep your appointment on your radar. I've only had positive experiences here and would recommend this location to others! read more

It's been over a year since I had my eye exam done and having worn glasses since I was in elementary school, I can tell when there's been a slight change in my vision. I was able to easily book my appointment online through the Lenscrafter website for this location and received an email confirmation. I had been here previously and really liked Dr. Verma, the optometrist, so I was glad to see she was still there and that I was able to book an appointment with here. When I arrived, both of the sales associates were working with other customers so I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes, but after a bit, someone let me know they'll be with me shortly. I filled out my paperwork and was seen by the tech who was so nice and made the process of the puff of air in your eye go by so quickly! I usually struggle with that test but she was understanding and got it done in the first go. The eye exam with Dr. Verma was quick and easy - she's so friendly and I felt comfortable explaining any issues to her. The check out process was easy - I didn't end up buying my contacts that day since I wanted to try out the test pair, but still asked for my prescription since I wanted to have that on file. I felt like one of the sales associate was a little aggressive in trying to convince me to come back to buy my contacts through Lenscrafter (which I was going to do anyways) but I'm assuming they may have sales goals to meet and having worked in retail, I understand the effort. Overall, I've always had a positive experience at this location and will be back for my next eye exam as long as I'm in Baltimore! read more

SUMMARY: Great for assistance with glasses; limited selection FULL STORY: I don't have my eye exams here, but for help with glasses and contacts, I've had good experiences. If you know what you want from the selection online, they can order some of the frames. They are helpful with adjustments and troubleshooting. They have a lab to do the lenses on site, but can't make all of the lens types (have to order some), so keep that in mind. I was in Baltimore to board a cruise and the morning of my glasses got bent and were hurting my nose. That would not do for the next 8 days so I found LensCrafters nearby. I walked in prepared to pay for the fix, but Lisa (sorry if I have the name wrong!) was awesome, said that it was a quick easy fix! She was great, very friendly and quick. This branch has the rudest staff I've ever met in my life. I've been going to LensCrafters for all my needs in NY and now in Baltimore. The staff here is downright rude. I called to say I was going to be five minutes late to my appointment and I was met by a sigh on the phone, when I walked in and said hi there was no response. Do not come to this branch, a part of the cost we pay to LensCrafters is the quality and courtesy of interaction with the staff and you will not find it here. read more

I had a 5/5 star experience at Lens Crafters on Boston Street. I made a same day appointment online and was able to go in an hour later. There was no wait, as soon as I was finished with paper work they took me back. The dr was prompt and efficient. I got my new prescription, they ran everything through insurance, I chose a pair of frames and I was able to pick up my new glasses an hour later! The only weird thing, was soon as I walked in, one of the workers burped so loud and they all just laughed-- which was kinda gross and odd. But other than that, it was an incredible experience! I haven't purchased any glasses or contacts from LensCrafters, so this is really just a thumbs up comment for the eye check up services they offer. I'm a huge fan of this place's hours. You are able to schedule an appointment 7 days a week, which can be easily done online. The check in and check out process is really smooth and quick. LensCrafter accepts insurance. Waits are not an issue, and the eye exam and contact lens fitting are really thorough and quick. The eye doctor also doesn't hesitate to provide you with trial/sample lenses. read more

I am completey disgusted by the way that I was treated at this branch. I was verbally attacked by a staff member while the store manager stood there and watched. I got there at 11:25am for my 11:30am appointment on 03/16/2019. I had made an appointment for an annual check up as well as a new contact and glasses fitting. Once I got there I spoke to the front desk girl named Qwes, and I asked her if my medical history got sent to this location successfully, she responds "I don't know, I think so." So I asked her to check because I've had retina surgeries in the last year so it was very important to pass that information to the new doctor to see to check for development. Right off the bat, she was incompetent and clearly didn't care to check. The doctor was amazing and thoroughly checked my eyes due to my retina issues. As I was waiting for my eyes to be dilated I asked to see if I can pay. Again, I got Qwes and she was radio silent when I was trying to pay for my appointment. I didn't think too much of it, then I asked her to print out my prescription and she rudely said "you don't have an eye glass fitting, so there's no prescription." I said how can that be? I was just with the doctor getting my prescription readjusted. Please know that I've been wearing glasses since I was 5, so I am very familiar with this process. So I said how about a contact prescription and she also said no. So at this point I was getting frustrated because I had just sat there for 2 hours and got no prescription. Then of course when I spoke directly with the doctor she was able to give my eye glass prescription, and the doctor kindly said she can do a contact fitting at another time and I said no problem. As I am back at the front desk trying to make my appointment for my contact fitting I decided it was nessecary to mention to the store manager that Qwes was extremely rude and incompetent. However, I was shocked to see that the store manager acted the same exact way and was extremely unprofessional and unapologetic. So I just walked out and thought to myself that I was never going back there again. But no! As I was walking out I hear Qwes yelled out "you sad!" I turned around and said "what?" She then decided to yell out everything she hated about me, and said I had a bad attitude and I was rude. All while the store manager was standing right next her and allowing her to say those things to me. I have never ever dealt with this type of behavior before and I am so disappointed that a store manager could let a staff treat a customer like this. I walked out sad and ashamed for placing my compliant to the store manager. These staff members are handling medical information for patients, shouldn't they be trained and behave in a respectful manner? All I asked was for Qwes to make sure she had my medical history and from there she grew angry with me because I wanted her to confirm. How did it boil down this mess? This should be a learning curve for LensCrafters, to rethink about how to train/hire your employees. If I owned this business I'd fire the store manager and Qwes. A staff should never ever yell back at a customer, let alone verbally attack a customer. This is how your business lost me as a customer, forever. read more

Extremely disappointed in the poor and unhelpful customer/patient services of this Dr. and her team. I have been a loyal Lens Crafter patient for over 8 years and instead of receiving accommodating support I was given unapologetic and unhelpful options. Despite a scheduled appoint for Feb (and an 8 years of track record) the Dr. would not supply me with 2 trial pairs of contacts to hold me over for a monthlong trip JUST because my perscription expired a few days ago...! Due to an expired perscription she was entirely unwilling to do a good deed and simply provide me with something so simple that would have prevented a dilemma and a holiday mishap. Now I get to travel for an entire month without contacts thanks to her unhelpful and terrible customer services and lack of alternatives. I understand rules, I understand regulation, I understand that I should have realized my contact box was empty--but the help and apologetic attitude of someone can truly make a tremendous difference in someone's journey--and THIS LC team has lost a loyal, appreciative patient in me and my husband. I had such a wonderful experience at LensCrafters in the Can Company! I have been avoiding going for my eye/glasses/contacts check just because it has always been such a headache in the past. Well, when my contacts lens prescription expired as I went to order more pairs for vacation I was able to get a next day appointment over a holiday weekend which was great. They accepted my insurance no problem and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Verma was wonderful! So helpful and efficient and also generously gave me lots of free contacts while I wait for my order. The woman who checked us out explained all my benefits and helped me get the best deal. First off, I only went in for adjustment, did not buy glasses from them. I have always had great experience whether or not I was wearing Lenscrafter glasses at many other locations in the country. Since my glasses needed minor adjustment, I went to this location for its convenience and their being open on Sundays. The lady at the front desk immediately lost interest in me once it was revealed that the glasses were not from Lenscrafter and passed me on to another lady. The second lady helped me adjust my glasses really well but I felt like I was at the mercy of her hands the whole time. I will avoid this store personally now due to the treatment I received. However, the store is clean and seems to have a lot of selections. I suspect that you will have a different experience if you bought glasses from them. read more

My wife and I went into LensCrafters in Canton for our annual glasses adventure. We were armed with multiple discount offers and needed 3 pairs of glasses. Poor Melissa volunteered to help us. The poor girl should have run screaming but she hung in there. I was pretty easy but my wife has some difficulty making choices. Melissa stuck with it and showed us all the options with the various lens choices and discounts. She spent 2+ hours with us. Melissa made the chore fun and saved us quite a bit of money. Wile working on my frames the tech broke them!!! Isn't his job to repair them not break them? I want to share a positive experience I had with the LensCrafters in the Can Company. I needed to have my lenses replaced due to a peeling anti-reflective coating after 1.5 months, and the cost was $172. When I went back this morning to pick up the glasses, I spoke with the manager, Melissa, who graciously agreed to refund my cost and apologized. On March 20, 2016 I purchased one set of frames and two sets of lenses at this location of Lenscrafters, spending a total of $858. On June 8, 2016 I took my glasses in to see if they could repair what looked like a minor scratch right in the center of the lens. The Lenscrafter person who looked at my glasses said that in fact my anti-scratch coating is delaminating in three places on that lens. But whoops, there's nothing they can do since I didn't purchase their insurance when I bought the lenses. So be aware that they do not stand behind their products past 30 days if you don't pay a lot more for their insurance. read more

Went there yesterday for an annual check-up and was very pleased! I've never had such a thorough exam of my eyes before! The general manager (I'm blanking on her name) and Dr. Lee were wonderful and explained everything to me! I did not feel rushed at all nor was I pressured to buy anything extra (exams, features on my glasses) but everything was explained and the option was all mine.
