The condition of the frames would affect how much they're able to do. I'm amazed at the before and after, and these frames are just like new! I've been searching for several years to find these frames that are out of production because the frame height is so hard to find. They're over a decade old, and I've settled for frames that just didn't hit the mark. My cost with shipping was $226.60. That ~$75 can go towards whatever lens upgrades I'll definitely need. Most businesses today just try to sell you a replacement. These guys actually repair glasses. I went into All American Eyeglass Repair expecting "maybe they can help," and instead it was more like "yeah, we see this all the time." Part of the frame had broken. They said it could be laser welded and that you'd never even see the repair. The part I appreciated most is they seem very matter-of-fact about everything. No giant sales pitch. Just "we'll have it done in about an hour." Sure enough, about an hour later the glasses were repaired and honestly looked like nothing had ever happened. The man who works here is incredibly nice, but he kept searching for certain polarizing lenses/colors and reading them out loud to me. And when I said "yes I like that one" he would go to select it and would say like "no, can't do that it's not available". Which I understand. But at the same time, I spent longer standing there and had to go thru all the options first before he even knew if they were available for this frame which was quite a disappointment. I had a special request to ship them to my home which he was more than happy to do (I paid extra for shipping) and it took a normal amount of time before they were ready. However he "mailed them to the wrong address". Not sure exactly what that meant. But in a couple days after I called to ask about where they were, they were delivered to me. I can only speculate if they were not shipped and he lied about it, or if he did ship them somewhere else but was able to retrieve them. Either way, it was not great. But I did get them in the end. So they were delayed and didn't get here in time for the birthday gift I was ordering. But again, I got them. All in all, it's an okay way to have your glasses repaired.
