I honestly didn't even know places like this still existed. My wife was referred here by her eye doctor because her glasses had broken just outside of the manufacturer's warranty. Most businesses today just try to sell you a replacement. These guys actually repair glasses. I went into All American Eyeglass Repair expecting "maybe they can help," and instead it was more like "yeah, we see this all the time." Part of the frame had broken. They said it could be laser welded and that you'd never even see the repair. The part I appreciated most is they seem very matter-of-fact about everything. No giant sales pitch. So I walked in the Pacific ave location after viewing their add for eyeglass repair as low as $29.99. Without asking me the cost of the lenses he explained why it would cost well over $100 and I would be better served just replacing them. As I was leaving I explained they were my backup pair so I wouldn't be too picky. As long as they were wearable but to no avail. On my way home I stopped at Walgreens and picked up a eyeglass repair kit for $1.99. Along with a cheap pair of sunglasses I was able to fix them myself. No thanks to All American Eyeglass Repair.
