So I returned to Stanton...their frames are relatively attractive and don't cost a mortgage payment. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I will admit I'm a tough fit and could be the customer from hell requiring multiple returns for an adjustment. The staff said don't worry; we have customers that come back every week because they damaged their frames. So I gave them my latest prescription. I selected the exact frame I had a few years ago...funny...as I went thru their vast selection and chose the same frame... When I picked up my glasses the prescription was spot on and the fit was perfect...no need to tweak the fit...they also refitted lenses into another frame that I purchased a few years ago. My only concern is that they have so many deals that it's impossible to match them up. But they are very "transparent " with the pricing and you do see what you get on their order form. I thought the price was more than fair and the overall experience was very good. I'd certainly recommend them.

When they offered a same day appointment, I took it -- so glad I did! First off, the staff were wonderful. I was met with a friendly welcome as soon as I entered. Before I sat down to complete 1-pg of paperwork (yes, 1 simple page), I was given a tour of the office, exam rooms, and optical shop. I also received a small welcome gift -- nice touch. After I completed my 1-pager, I was immediately ushered back to the room where they conduct various tests. The technician (uggh, can't remember her name) was professional and efficient, and comfortable in her tasks. She explained everything, and in 10 mins I had completed all the stations. Immediately after the tests, I went into the exam room. The wait for the doc was about 32 secs! Where does that ever happen? I've been seeing eye docs since I was 10 -- Dr. Pimienta is already in my Top 2!! Very friendly, and conveys a sense that he 1) genuinely likes his work and 2) genuinely likes people. After he gave a thorough run down of my eye health, we chatted for a few minutes -- fun guy to talk with! Checkout, payment and follow-on appointment done immediately after my exam was finished. I cannot speak to Dr. Bylsma's expertise in glaucoma treatment and other inter-ocular surgery,…read morewhere he holds the majority of his stellar medical credentials. But for those seeking eyelid surgery, or any other cosmetic surgery, I would strongly suggest consulting a board certified plastic surgeon. At Bylsma's suggestion, I combined a minor medical eye surgery with a simultaneous mini blepharoplasty to remove excess skin on my upper eyelids. The blepharoplasty was fraught with issues that included a broken blood vessel that resulted in severe bruising for months, revisions, in one case, involving sutures that completely fell out while the wound was still healing (which led to immediately redoing the procedure over compromised skin). And other problems I won't detail here. Needless to say, I was not pleased with the end result that left both eyes with sagging skin and one eye without even an eyelid crease. I had a blepharoplasty done 15 years ago by a local board certified surgeon, so I know the difference in both surgical expertise and end results. Dr. Bylsma is an affable enough eye surgeon. But he needs to stay in his lane.

The surgery center, Premier Surgery center was equally clean and modern. Had both eyes done about 3 weeks apart. It's wonderful to have my X-ray vision back.
