If you read other reviews you will see a number of 1-star reviews. I recommend you take them as seriously as the writers' took their grammar classes. The frame selection is not large, but it is adequate. They sell rimless glasses, which Costco stopped selling. The rimless glasses are well-made and inexpensive compared with other stores. They sell a wide range of lenses, the top-of-the-line being the Nikon lens that is expensive, but of excellent quality. The customer service has been quite good. As an example, on my last order I accidentally forgot to request that my lenses be rounded and polished. When I came to pick up the glasses, the lady helping me realized the mistake, and re-ordered a new pair of glasses for me at no charge. She was polite and efficient. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! Unbelievable experience here this afternoon . My partner and I came in to get his glasses adjusted. Jaelen told us it would take her 10-15 minutes to fix, if we had some shopping to do go ahead and come back and they'd be adjusted. When we returned she had broken the frames and seemed very apologetic and offered to take them home to fix them. ( I didn't know what she had at home that was going fix it but agreed for her to do so) then she nervously informed me and my partner that she should have told us that there was a disclaimer that he needed to agree to before she tried to fix his glasses and that didn't happen . When my partner called the next day she informed him she wasn't able to fix them and said they were going to break anyways at a weak spot. She then offered a 50% coupon on frames. Unbelievable!! You're going damage our hard earned property, tell us they were going to break anyways then try to tell us you'll give us 50% off new frames. Unacceptable!! We went in to talk to a manager about this problem and spoke with Cynthia. This young woman really needs to take a course in hospitality and customer service. Her scowl on her face, unapologetic attitude as well as overall lack of courtesy and respect held solid through the whole experience. She too only offered the 50% off the new pair frames or put the lenses in another frame that wouldn't fit them and have big gaps between the frame and lenses. We told her these weren't acceptable options. They broke the frames, they need to fix them! She then said that her employee felt uncomfortable fixing the frames and that other employees witnessed this. Now I'm pissed, this is a flat out lie. No other employees were present and Jaelen was alone. I asked her if Jaelen was uncomfortable fixing the frames why didn't she just say so and tell us "I'm sorry but unfortunately there isn't anything i could do for you because I'm afraid your glasses might break if I attempt to work on them" ? I would have had more respect for that then to try and fix the glasses and break them. No one was forcing her to fix the frames. I explained to her that I felt this was unreasonable, they damaged our property they should be responsible for fixing it. If I crashed in to her car I couldn't just tell her "Well think I'm just gonna pay 50% of the damage. No you broke it, you're responsible! Unbelievable!! The next option is to call a 1-800 customer service number, hopefully this will get some better results Bottom line they broke the glasses , we were never told about any disclaimer, the manager lied about her employee feeling uncomfortable and other employees witnessing this, as well as the overall unapologetic bad attitude left a very sour taste in our mouth and we would never recommend nor go back to this establishment. Cynthia's lack of customer service skills is a detriment to this company, let her go ASAP!! Once again screwed by the keen staff at Wal-Mart's Pismo eye center. Ordered glasses on the 6th with a 7-10 day delivery worst case ,it's now the 21st. My calls are never returned after being told they will call back in 40 min. Now after calling yet again they say another week of so. I have ordered contacts 2x in 6 months. The gal ordered extra for the RT eye each time. I went over this with her and was shocked to see she ordered it wrong again. I call and am told, no big deal just bring in a box and we will exchange. I go in, asked who I spoke to, there are only 2 people in there. She took my receipt which she still has and I want. I was getting an eye test but want her to exchange my box before I go in. She was to dam busy with her company with a baby, no social distancing, give me a break. I left and nothing was done, she expected me to wait until she finished her customer. I was there first. She ignored me and everything I said to visit her company. Now I still have a RT eye box and no receipt. I will NEVER, NEVER buy from them again. Most unprofessional people in my life. I'm not talking about the girl in the back doing eye testing. Just the young gal in the front who can't get an order right. I still as I mentioned have more RT than LT and she has my receipt. read more

They have a bunch dumb ass kids working the desk. they're lazy and dont want to give you the time of day. The sit a play on there phones the whole day. And when you ask them a question they act like your bothering them. I cant beleave they even have a job who would hire morons like this. They definitely need to work on customer service and hire some people who actually give a shit about there customers. I took my son, who has bad mood swings, to get glasses. The eye doctor was very nice, the staff was nice, but the policies are ridiculous. His insurance covers glasses for him, but Walmart refuses to bill the insurance for the glasses. (Though they have no problem billing for the exam and getting their copay) When I made my appointment, the girl in the front said that our insurance doesn't cover glasses anymore. I spoke with a rep from my insurance and they said they did. So I figured the girl was ill-informed. Kept our appointment and went in. We had his eye exam. And we waited for them to get to us. (Though my son was having a serious meltdown) When they got to us, we had a pair of frames picked out, and we walked over to the counter, and that is when we were told that I had to pay out of pocket for the glasses. (They won't bill the insurance company for the glasses) It's their policy. (It wasn't two years ago) Had I known, I wouldn't have gone there. But the first girl said something completely different. I would've found somewhere that bills the insurance and order the glasses. I came home and decided to try for online, because they are cheaper (son needs them but isn't very good with them, so easier to replace) The prescription doesn't have PD. So I called and they said that most people don't order online and they legally cannot give that information. (To a patient?) Then says that they don't measure that until you order your glasses. They don't seem to know how to communicate things to their patients and potential patients. I do not recommend this place, and will not go back. read more

Horrid experience: Didn't get the frames I ordered, they arbitrarily gave me frames I would never buy. The woman claimed that frames looked different because my pupils were dilated. I would never pick out frames with dilated pupils. I'm very disappointed. But, at the end of the day, I didn't take a picture of the frames I had originally chose so, it's a matter of "she said he said". read more

Horrible. I took my own prescription to have lenses replaced in my own frames. While there, I was told that I could purchase a second pair of frames and lenses at half price. Since I had been considering getting a new pair of computer glasses, I accepted the offer and picked out a new pair of frames. Two weeks later, both pairs arrived. The glasses in which I had replaced the lenses only were great. However, the new computer glasses were obvious incorrect as I couldn't see anything out of one eye. Back to the lab they went. Two more weeks went by and when they arrived I still couldn't see correctly out of one eye. Now, they've decided to blame my doctor (I didn't see their optometrist) and said I should go back and have my eyes rechecked. Keep in mind that my first pair of glasses were fine, which makes it obvious that the second pair had just been poorly made. In addition, the young woman helping me had not been trained in fitting glasses and didn't know how to fit them correctly. Horrible waste of money, even at half price! You're much better off at Costco. read more

The customer service and practice here is awful. I would NEVER recommend Wal Mart vision center. The doctor is so rude, it's pretty crazy to think that a doctor working in a HEALTH field could be that rude. I asked questions about my exam and he basically made me feel like an idiot. I was so unhappy with this place, it is terrible. DO NOT GO THERE PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO GET YOUR EYES CHECKED SOMEWHERE ACCURATE LIKE LENS CRAFTERS. The doctor said I was a 28 26 eye pressure on the puff pressure test and that's really bad. I thought "there is no way that's accurate" so I went to a real eye practice in town (LENS CRAFTERS) that was actually accurate and the doctor took the time to do a real test not just a puff test and my eye pressure test was 19 21 which is NORMAL. If you're smart you will not go here I had an appointment and it wasn't even written down. NOT TO MENTION THE DOCTOR LET ME DRIVE AFTER DILATING MY EYES, neglecting to tell me to wait at least 20 minutes. THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT. read more
