Twice now I have gotten acrylic nails done from them. Twice they have done such an incredible job that the nails lasted a month!! And I am harsh in my nails. I work for the state parks and am outside on the trails. The second time survived snorkeling in Hawaii. This shop does amazing at making sure these nails stay put!!

I don't know why this place doesn't have a higher rating. I'm new to the neighborhood and ran here to get a mani/pedi in a pinch. I was almost 30 min late to my appointment (I'm sorry again) and they still accommodated me and were so nice. I got a regular polish pedi and dip nails. Not a huge dip color selection, but they at least have all the basics covered. The lady who gave me a pedicure used a scrub I really liked and took her time giving me a nice foot and calf massage, even with my basic pedi. It's rare people do that these days. I was also very pleased with the mani. The lady doing my nails was very careful with the little sanders, not to nick the skin. I also appreciated that she would thoroughly dust my hands off after sanding. The salon seemed really clean and I enjoyed my massage chair. I will be back!!! Thrilled to have discovered this gem 5 mins from my house!

I used to love this place, my first experiences were great and even brought family members with me when I returned. However, I'm very disappointed in the work they did today. I've always gotten a pedicure and they last a while which is why I like coming here. However, I got a manicure for the first time today and they left gel on my skin and around my cuticle. They left SO MUCH space between my cuticle and the gel. The photos on other reviews look great and nothing like the work they did on me today.

They do a good job. I've been coming here for nine years. They have plenty of experienced nail specialists and chairs and you don't need an appointment. The whole experience is basic but pleasant and easy and you out with great looking nails. read more

This nail salon is amazing!! V is especially great! She is very friendly and listens carefully to the designs that you want. I've gotten manicures with her - regular nail polish and gel. Both methods turned out great. She is very clean and precise with her painting methods. My entire family goes here as well. They also do a great job with pedicures for my elderly grandfather. 12/10 would recommend! read more

The worse experience ever I called for an appointment and they were busy.2 ladies tried to accommodate me with my time, but did a crap job. I got medi and pedi both with jell. They turn out surface bumpy and not smooth on many of them. And of course, I spent almost $100 after tip to get the crap job. Now I need to look for someone to redo it before the wedding I am attending. Such a bummer read more

First time getting my mani pedi at this establishment. Lucy, the owner, is very nice and friendly and the best part is that she really good at her line of work... the place is clean and very roomy and the most importantly the air ventilation is great, no stinky smell(I know what I meant if u'd been to a place that u feel like u have to leave for fresh air...) Been coming here for more than 20 years. Always happy, but the past few times, not so much. First, it's gotten very expensive - two price increases in the past year at $10 a clip so a regular mani/pedi is now $60 (with tip that's $70). Of course I realize it's expensive running a business in WC, and maybe they think everyone who lives here is rich (not true). If I was getting better service I'd say it's worth it, but the past few times I've had issues with the manicurist ripping my cuticles/drawing blood, doing a very aggressive job on an ingrown toenail - cutting away a good portion of my nail. I was in about two weeks ago for mani/pedi and not sure what happened but I have soreness on the side of my big toe - hoping it doesn't turn into an infection. Could be it's the gal I keep getting (she's on the stocky side/does not speak much English) but bummed to think it's time for me to find a new salon to call home. read more

This place is one of my favorite nail salons. Lucy and her crew are so nice , they always treat you with respect and care. Since they open few weeks ago because of COVID I did my nails there twice. It's always clean, they sanitize each station after every customer and they have clear dividers between the customer and the workers so you can feel safe to do your nails. Definitely recommend! read more

This was my first time here and they were excellent! Had my chair ready and waiting for me at my appointment time, gave a wonderful long massage on my arms and legs (lo Mgt then most places) had a TON of colors to choose from (gel, regular and dip) and did a great job on my nails and they lasted so long! It might sound strange to say that you feel at home at a nail salon, but for me this is true about Walnut Creek Nails & Tan. I have been coming here for years and everyone who works here is always very friendly and go above and beyond to provide amazing service. I generally do the deluxe pedicure (extra scrubbing & hot stone massage) and gel polish on acrylic. My nails generally last up to a month, sometimes even longer! read more

The five stars have to do with the wonderfully kind and thoughtful staff that work at this nail salon. While getting my nails done, another patron received some disappointing news about her family. She was clearly distraught and the staff were SO reassuring, attuned to her needs, and even offered her a ride home! I have been to many a nail salon. This is by far the CLEANEST salon I have been too. Then there is the staff!!! Friendliest group of persons you could hope to service you. I love Walnut Creek Nails and Tan! I have been going to Lucy since I was 12 and I am now 27. I have been to the new shop consistently since it opened in 2011. I have seen everyone in the shop; Lucy, Vicky, Vee, Si and everyone who comes in during the summer months! Everyone is great and they will accommodate with anything. Let me start off by saying this place is open until 7pm - AMAZING!! Some days I work past 6 and don't feel like a complete jerk walking in and asking for a pedicure. The girls who work here are so personable, chat with you, make you feel welcomed, and they dress amazingly cute too. I've come here numerous times throughout the years, and I'm actually writing this while getting a pedicure. The wait was non existent, the welcome was strong, and the attention to my poor feet has been wonderful. They called me and I came back for a pedicure. Was there a difference! Not really, cleaned up the pedicure part, then sent the same girl who painted them the first time to repaint them... I did not even bother to fuss... came home and won't go back! I had to help myself out of the chair and put on my sandles with a back brace on... how rude. read more

I've been coming here on and off for years now. My last visit was the last straw. Not only did my gel manicure bubble the second I left the salon and start looking straight up terrible (how is that even possible?) And this was not the first time that's happened at this place. But what really did it was the fact that I ended up getting a nail fungus under my finger nails! All in all just a terrible experience. Stay away from this place... read more

Extremely covid safe, the kindest people working here & super reasonably priced! I just moved to the area and was in desperate need of a pedicure and happened across Walnut Creek Nails & Tan. Vicky gave me the best pedicure I've had in a while- I'm super psycho about covid safety and was pleasantly surprised by the measures they are taking. They don't allow to many folks in at once and they have clear barriers in between the chairs and the nail technician. Vicky was so kind and gave a super long massage with the pedicure which is always a bonus. 10/10 recommend if you live in the area! read more

I've had some hangnails and they are very good at getting them and getting you out of pain. I'm so thankful they are open to help. Vicky was awesome in helping me pick a color very close to something I had saved on my phone. I wanted a milky white and this is the color she suggested! I've been going here to get my nails done for about 4 years now and I always come back. As with any nail salon I've had my iffy manicures but I always find myself coming back because everyone there is so sweet and kind. I've also found its the best deal anywhere around. It is cheeper if you pay with cash so I would recommend that. I usually come for a gel manicure and there are lost of options and I am usually very satisfied with my manicure. I would also recommend making an appointment because it can get busy at peak times. I will continue to be returning! read more

Two of my nails completely chipped off the very next day. I went back to see if they could repaint just those two nails, and they did -- which was very kind of them. However, they used gel polish on those two fingers, so now I have two gel nails while the rest are regular polish and continuing to chip. I specifically chose regular polish because gel makes my nails very brittle. It's only been two days and my nails already look really bad. I also have to mention that the salon really needs a deeper clean. The tables were covered in nail powder and everything looked messy and unkept.

I have been getting my nails done my whole life religiously every three weeks, at other salons I would experience Nails breaking, lifting and polish chipping. at Beau Den spa I no longer experience any of those things and my Nails last even longer. I extremely appreciate the cleanliness of the products used here and of the Salon. The tools are all brand new, products are non-toxic, and organic. I received a gel manicure from Hanna with one hand nails bubbling up. I came back and Kimmy fixed it. While I was on a time crunch since I had a vacation to go to I appreciated her fixing it. The next day the other hand done by Hanna the entire gel polish came off of one nail with another finger happening thereafter. I came back from vacation, again I was annoyed but really wanted to give the salon a second chance because accidents happen but ... I came back and Kimmy had a new nail lady named Mandy fix my nails. Kimmy was going to fixed the nails originally but she moved Mandy to me because the other client complained. I had to correct Mandy multiple times at the end, you could tell the tip of my nails were messed up. I flagged it to Kimmy and she told me to come back at 6. I had been there for 3 hours ?! She asked me what I wanted to do and I told her to just give me a refund. She gave me $50. I think if you have Kimmy or one of her veteran nail techs do your nails you should be okay but she has a few nail techs that you can tell aren't that great. Kimmy should prequalify them and not put customers through this?! One of the other nail employees told me I was the 6th person that had come in with their gel coming off. I've done my nails for 20 years and this has never happen?!

Walked out crying because I had to have her fix the nail tips twice and they were still crooked…read more Then she was so sloppy with the application of acrylic half my fingers are stuck to my nail and was soo thick it wasn't even close to the shape I wanted to begin with. Then argued with me that my nails needed filed when they are pointing in every other direction. Ended up having her chop them off and they didn't even take the acrylic off.

I just wish it were longer and more treatment. I was not given/shown an option of levels for my pedicure I also still have calluses on my feet. This was great, especially when Lee went on a family vacation, because I too was traveling and knew I could count on her sisters to do good by me. This is one of the closest nail salons to me. So it is convenient. I only really go here for…read morepedicures since I do hard gel or sculpted extensions elsewhere. However, I will admit that I did come in when I had a Gel-X tip split from another salon and they helped me with a new nail and tried to match the color as much as possible. The pedicures, mainly gel ones LAST 3+ weeks. It's probably their top and base because I've brought in my own gel (LeChat) and the results were the same. (I do avoid using DND/Daisy since I'm not a fan of them.) They also cut my nails as short as I request them to and VERY SHORT. Massages sometimes can be hit or miss since I need a firm, deep tissue. But I will say the consistency of having pedicures that can last forever is great! Don't change Kevin and Team! My only cons are that they don't do Russian/dry manicures as a normal mani treatment. Prices are a little high, but that's typical Diablo Valley prices. Oakland/Berkeley/Alameda are around 10-15% cheaper.

The biggest surprise came when, after all that waiting, a staff member told me they couldn't do my manicure because there were too many customers waiting. I had specifically booked an appointment, so I don't understand why my reserved time wasn't honored. Overall, the service was unprofessional, poorly organized, and not worth the money. If appointments are required, they should be respected. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this salon based on how we were treated.

The thing that really disappointed me was my manicure didn't even last 2 days and was already chipping. I usually expect this a week after a manicure but 2 days later?! Anyhow, not sure if I will go back. If only I could remember the name of the tech who did my nails consistently for a few months last year...

I got a mani/pedi today. I just need to share what a great job all of the ladies at WC Nails are doing. They have taken all of the necessary steps to protect their clients and themselves . They have individual plexiglass screens they place in front of the chair while doing pedicures and each desk has plexiglass dividers for manicures. They also sanitized surfaces between clients. I have been coming here for years and they are very friendly and do a great job with your nails. It's great to have their doors open again and I'm happy to support a local family owned business. read more

I have been in this nail salon twice, both time I have gone in with someone else, and there hasn't been enough employees to work on us both. I will let the other person go first, and no one will talk to me or set me up for a pedicure, after I tell them that's what I want. My maid of honor went in there with me for a pedicure, and after telling the lady she didn't want any designs on her toes she did it any ways. I have been going to Walnut Creek Nails and Tan for years and would not go anywhere else. Lucy, Vicki and their crew are the best. My nails always look great and Vicki is great at dealing with my problem toenails. They keep the shop spotless, and although I like just plain polish, they have all the other options - gel, powder and acrylic. The location is also really good - next to the old Appleby's. read more

The staff here are wonderful, they are so kind and welcoming- and so professional! They are taking every precaution with COVID and have panels up to separate guests and keeping people separated between chairs. And they have outstanding customer service. read more
