This Valero Gas Station is one of the cheapest gas stations really in downtown Walnut Creek area, has about 12 gas pump stations, & kudos they have a Car Wash =) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/zNUWhNdNRi-t7ZrGk2Zg2A?select=Cs3W_lBN4nDT87E_8PwMoQ There's an Arco Gas Station opposite side of them on Ygnacio Valley Rd, guess it just depends if you're driving West or East on this road. I personally just prefer Valero 'cuz they take credit card & debit versus Arco takes debit only. Anywho, my Durango has been in dire need of a wash. Got their "Thrifty Wash" (basic) for $5.99 plus $1.00 since I didn't get any gas. $6.99 later & my baby is clean & ready for the week *tee-hee* ------------------------- GAS PRICES IN YOUR AREA http://cbs5.com/search/Link.ashx?R=http://cbs5.com/gasprices

Well I've never had any problems with gas or pricing here. But I honestly don't pay cash for anything (especially gas - Discover gives me 5% back!) so I don't even look at prices. I drive a 66 Mustang and an SUV so my average mpg isn't great. (Before you frown, I don't drive much, and when I'm out with my husband we drive his hybrid). All in all, gas prices don't really bother me. But I don't get gas here often. I come for the food. I love gas stations with food inside. The Chevron next to my house has awesome employees but a totally weak sauce Food Mart. This Valero has a pretty decent inventory. A wall of drinks and several aisles of snacks. I get friendly service when I go in. Never had any complaints about the employees. I like all the people working here. :)

AFTER their crappy car wash. What a rip off.

Gas prices just meh unless you buy their crappy car wash. Check out my pictures for the results of THAT mistake. And that after someone got stuck in the machine with three people ahead of me making for a half hour wait. And THAT after it broke down while I was in line the first time I tried to use my code. I won't be back except maybe for gas if I don't feel like driving out of my way for a better price.

The screen from my window sill level. About 3 1/2 feet away.

I left this gas station two stars because while I have never had a problem with the gas or store, the carwash is absolutely ridiculous. Let me go step by step. First of all, the carwash takes about 5 minutes PER CAR. So if you are 4th in line, expect to wait about 20 minutes to get into the car wash. When you finally do get to the carwash, the entry machine is built for all sizes of vehicles. That must include monster trucks. I don't own a low-slung car, but I still had to reach half my body outside the window to reach the screen. I can't imagine if I was in a sports car! Please see the attached photo. the screen is a good three and a half feet from my window. And is about four and a half feet off the ground. That is a lot when you're sitting in your car. When you finally get done contorting your body to enter your receipt code, the Car Wash starts. The foam starts spraying and it only got to my windshield. Then it stopped. But actually that doesn't matter because when the machine came back over my car, it sprayed water, washing all of the foam off my car. There was no more foam at any time. The wash wheels are covered in what I think is rubber lashes. Not the best for your car. Basically this just rubbed these rubber lashes all over your car with recycled water only for 4 minutes. Thank God I waited until there was nobody in the car wash to do this, or I would have been absolutely infuriated having to wait 20 minutes for this. Overall, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT get a carwash here. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Li'l Bear or any other car wash. You will be much, much happier you did. I am not a shill for li'l bear, but they have never done less than an adequate job. Which is much more than I can say for this place. Edit: I just noticed (wash day+2) my wheels were not washed AT ALL. RIDICULOUS! Just reduced my rating from 2 to 1 stars. This is flat-out thievery.

This is no longer a Valero. It is an Andoil. Still has the drive thru car wash. Prices are similar to other stations around.

Good location, easy gas up. For some reason, gas is cheaper in Walnut Creek ( compared to Alameda).

I was told the Pharmacy Manager wasn't available, so I asked to speak with any manager. The manager told me he thinks the Pharmacy Manager's name was "Lau" (he spelled it) and that the pharmacist answering the phones might be "Shemma." I told him that I had already been disconnected multiple times and was just trying to get my prescription. The manager wasn't rude, but it didn't really feel like I was talking to someone who was concerned about fixing the issue. I expected a little more urgency since why are the pharmacy staff acting like they answering calls and disconnecting them on "accident". Instead, the only solution offered was to transfer me back to the pharmacy and let them know I was waiting on the phone. When someone answered, I asked if her name was Shemma. She immediately responded, "Nope," and transferred me. I was connected to Shemma. I realized she wasn't the same person that had disconnected my earlier calls because her voice sounded different from the employee who had answered before. Since Shemma stayed on the line, I decided to ask about my medication and a possible prescription transfer between Walgreens locations. I explained that my regular Walgreens told me that if this location had the medication in stock, they could request the prescription transfer. Shemma told me, "No, I can't do that. Call that Walgreens to transfer it." This completely conflicted with what I had already been told, and I felt like I was being talked over. My biggest concern is still the employee who initially answered the phone. After one of the disconnections, I called back and asked for her name first because I wanted to know who was disconnecting the calls. I figured if the call got disconnected again, at least I would know who I had spoken with. When I asked for her name, she responded, "Sure," and the call was disconnected. This is another reason I strongly recommend asking for the employee's name at the beginning of the call. I feel like people are less tough when they know you know who they are. If you need to follow up, file a complaint, or reference a specific interaction, having the employee's name can make that process a lot easier. With that being said, I don't need my prescription to be filled here anymore. Goodluck to ya if you have to call this pharmacy.

I don't need a consultation, I just want my second batch of pills on my prescription. There is no one at any other window, just one super long line and you stand there for 20 minutes, when you finally get to the front, the lady first looks at my (hard copy) prescription and acts like she doesn't know what to do. Then tells me I need to go stand in the other "line" after I wasted 20 minutes. Every time I go here, they don't have my prescription and I ask my doctor, he shows me where he sent it (this has happened with two different doctors so it's not the doctor, it's this poorly run place). It's one of the worst run pharmacies I've ever been to in my life - and the people that work behind the counter absolutely could not care less. I hate to sound like one of those "in my day" people who whine about everything but it's true in this case - pharmacies used to have people who cared about the people coming in. This one just has people who want to get through the work day. They couldn't give an actual flying yahoo about any customer, they have the same attitude as a McDonald's worker. They act like they're being put out and the people in the (long) line are morons for using this pharmacy (perhaps that's true now in retrospect). They never have enough people working there and every time I come in, they come across as so ridiculously incompetent, you wonder if these people actually have the education to be working in pharmacy. Management at CVS will read this and laugh and go about their day. They don't care. Look at all the other reviews here. It's not just me, it's everyone. This is the last time I EVER step foot in a CVS. There is no reason for me to ever come to this or any other one ever again.
