12/9/2023 Had an interesting experience with the Walser Auto Group. I was interested in a preowned car at their Chrysler Jeep store in Hopkins, showing their "Up Front (No Haggle) Best Price" on the windscreen. I was interested enough to started discussions with their Customer Specialist. The following day I find the car was moved to their "Walser Experienced Auto" store in Burnsville with a new "Up Front (No Haggle) Best Price" $2,399.99 Higher than their Hopkins store had it priced. I contacted the Customer Specialist along with the General Manager at the Burnsville store and asked if they would honor the previously posted price and was told NO, the new price was the UP FRONT (Haggle Free) BEST PRICE. Really? Since when do cars go up in value based on location in the same metro area?? In fairness I will say that the communication and response time with their staff at both locations was excellent and appreciated! I do however question the ethics and definitions used by the Walser Group regarding "UP FRONT (No Haggle) BEST PRICE". Is it possible that used car marketeers have learned nothing, given what they have experienced over the last 4 years? Are they still playing games? Spoiler Alert ... I wanted to love buying a car here. I came in test drove one car. Went home, called my bank, got a check for the whole amount, called them and told them I would be in the next day to hand them the check and pick up the car. I arrived, the car was dirty, had 1/4 tank of gas and they made me sit there for an hour while the guy filled out the paperwork and continued to try and sell me one thing after another while having his manager come over. Why would I want a maintenance warranty from a place that couldn't even do basic things right? I did all the leg work for them and the customer service was rude, lazy and I wouldn't recommend them at all! read more

I had an unfortunate accident with my car, and searched up and down on the internet for options. Being in the Twin Cities, the possibilities seem endless. However, I found my way to a fabulous finish! After looking at hundreds of cars online, I became interested in one particular vehicle. So, I thought I would take it for a test drive. After getting to Burnsville (via Kelly's fantastic help), I met Larry - the greatest dealer ever! He took me for three different test drives. He gave me the facts, but left out the salesman pitch. He gave me his personal opinion, without trying to influence mine. I was very appreciative of his honesty and respect for my financial position. Everyone I met there was very respectful and helpful. Now, some things to know: -They do not bargain, as their price is far below the Kelley Blue Book value for the vehicle. (I purchased mine for approximately $2,500 less than the value.) -The cars are sold as-is, but are all drive-able and in good shape. (i.e. I may need to replace the air filter on mine.) -Warranties are not included, but may be purchased for extra. -You get a $50 check if you refer someone! -Since the vehicles are used, the move fast, as should you if you are interested in one. -Clean and comfortable office/showroom. -I never waited to be helped. -Bring your own coffee. Theirs is terrible! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new-used car. I don't know when I will be in the business for one again, but I know where I am going to look first! Initially I was ok with the transaction but it quickly became apparent that they messed up my payoff amount and I ended up being underwater on my truck because of them having a higher amount financed than was necessary. I have had good luck in previous Walser transactions but this coupled with the fact that they didn't even attempt to cancel the extended warranty on the car I traded in I would not recommend this particular dealer. I was very pressed for time, and didn't have much time to shop. I had to buy a car RIGHT NOW! So I went and bought an older Honda from Walser experienced autos, it had some issues from a couple of points that had been missed in the quality control inspection. So I repaired the car myself. I had assumed that as my car was sold "as is"that I had no options, and left a rather negative review. The manager reached out to me, and reimbursed me for my expenses in making the car right. I have to give credit where credit is due. In 34 years of buying cars I've never had a dealer who had no legal liability to, reach out and offer to make it right. I'm knocking off one point for the rather high pressure sales, and the fact that I paid $1500 over the Kelly blue book value. By all means buy a car there, but be sure you know market value going in. When I first bought my car a few months ago, I was very excited about it. I was 19 years old, it was my first car, and I fell in love with it. The price was $6500 which was very reasonable, and the customer service was good as well. However, in the four months since buying my car, I have had to make extensive repairs on the speakers, shock absorbers, motor mount, and more. Even though the car was "quality assured," I've been recommended to make $3000 worth of repairs. The car has served me well in getting to work, but the total price was MUCH higher than advertised. walser Experienced Auto advertises a 3 day right to return OR exchange vehicle policy. I purchased a 2019 Buick on 8/16/21, paid cash, and drove it hone to a small town in Southern Minn. It was a white knuckle drive and I was very unhappy with the car so I notified them the next day that I was returning the car. I called ahead and asked them to have any paper Work done and my checks ready. Long story short, instead of being ready, they quickly deposited my checks. I was successful in stopping payment on the largest one, but I feel like they have not been honest about the other checks totally more than $6000. First, they told me they had just been deposited that day when in fact 2 cleared my bank at 3:00 pm the PREVIOUS day. No explanation as to why they deposited them after I called and said I was returning the car when they were suppose to hold them, according to their website, for 72 hours. i Called accounting myself and they said they couldn't refund the money for 3-5 days to make sure it cleared their account. What? It cleared MY BANK and they had the money. Since that time they have not contacted me and have not returned my phone Calls. Furthermore, they are very dishonest about their warranty contract, which looks fantastic on the surface. In reality it's very different from what they said. Cars must be returned only to a Walter dealership for their warranty work. If you live a distance from the cities, that is not very practical. make your own decision, but be warned. Unfortunately we haven't had a positive experience with Walser's endorsed warranty company AUL or truthful communication with the general manager. We're all searching for companies to be transparent, reliable and trust worthy with our money and dealings these days. I highly recommend Walser Experienced Auto in Burnsville. Jake, was extremely knowledgeable regarding the Toyota Prius we purchased. Mark, was very thorough with explaining all the functionality of the car and getting us through the financing. We had a minor situation after we bought the car and the Walser Experienced Auto team handled it like champs! After a 9:51pm email regarding a mismatched wheel, literally 4 minutes later Randy, requested to order a wheel as a replacement. Parts manager Jaz identified in the pictures I sent as only missing a hubcap. Without a beat they asked me to stop back and installed one the next day at no charge. You will find the whole team incredibly responsive. I'm disappointed with my experience and how it was handled. I purchased a car that had been broken into prior to my test drive, it needed a window repaired and a center console.. I had waited 2 weeks for those to be done until I could take it home. The salesman that sold me the vehicle was great but the auto service department and sales manager (Randy?) need to have better communication. After only a couple weeks of having it, I noticed a burning smell when going up hills and under hard acceleration, so I brought it back as it came with a free limited warranty, I was never told it would cost anything but was charged $200 for a diagnostic, the tech showed me the only possible explanation was the oil cooler/filter housing but because it was only leaking oil a little bit and not excessively, the service writer said it wouldn't be covered until it's got a bad leak and the invoice said no leaks were found even though there was one. They used UV dye with the diagnostic so I had to go back a second time to make sure nothing else was leaking, nothing else was found to be leaking. So it came down to that part eventually needing to be replaced cus the leak will get worse. I talked to a sales manager (Randy?) and brought it back a third time to have said part replaced and it wasn't going to be any cost to me he said on the phone and then in person told me I have to pay a $200 deductible to warranty the part, no one ever told me there was a deductible to be paid on the free vehicle warranty at any point in my purchase of the vehicle, it doesn't say it on the pamphlet they hand you either, so he decided to take the $200 diagnostic fee and put it towards this part replacement but I shouldn't have had to pay anything for this diagnostic to begin with. The third time I took it in I mentioned another issue, my driver side floor is always soaking wet in the middle, even feels like there's a hole in the floor, they cleaned sunroof drains and checked plugs, tested for leaks with water but couldn't find the cause of problem. I purchased this vehicle May 4th and didn't get plates until September 14th , it's October 10th and I am still dealing with a burning oil smell, the oil cooler assembly has oil around the bottom of it just like it did when the tech pointed out it out with possible cause for burning smell but that part supposedly got replaced and I'm starting to think it didn't... also the floor is still wet all the time. The driver side air conditioner doesn't blow cold air anymore even after I replaced the blend door actuator myself. I'll also mention that there was still glass shards and chunks all over the back seat from when it was broken into, it never got cleaned out. My backseat is used frequently by my children so that was definitely alarming. I really wish my experience was different because I love this car. read more

When I called the number it went to voicemail and no one called me back after multiple aSeems like Walser doesn't care about taking care of a customer or their concerns rather just wants your money. I do NOT recommend Walser Experienced Autos to anyone! Period! We lost about $5000 because a Walser sales associate lied to us about towing capacity. NEVER EVER buy a car from these guys!!!! This dealership is a mixed bag. I would advise that everyone do their due diligence on the vehicle they are looking at before they purchase from this dealership since this dealership will not give an inch on anything. Make sure any recalls have been completed on the vehicle and that you can afford any additional vehicle repairs because this dealership will not foot the bill for anything. I ended up at this dealership because they had a vehicle I wanted and it was priced slightly above Kelly Blue Book value (as opposed to what other reviewers have said on here, this dealership lives in its own world when it comes to value of a vehicle). I eventually purchased the vehicle because of a certain situation but I know something about vehicles so I could fix what they wouldnt fix (or claim didnt need fixing). First off, this place wont even put in a new $15 air filter on a vehicle for a courtesy. That alone should raise some red flags to those that dont know vehicles. Second, this place claimed they put in new rotors and brokes on the front and back of the vehicle but when I looked at them because they were screeching after only driving a hundred miles.......they weren't new. They had essentially lied. There were other issues with the vehicle that I found after I bought it but I was able to remedy those but I would caution other folks who cant do their own vehicle work from this place. This place will not budge on anything. They lied to me. And they sold me a vehicle that was leaking coolant under the guise that this wasnt a safety hazard. Makes you wonder what IS a safety hazard in their eyes. The sales person was awkward and I felt like I would have been better served if I would have just done his job for him since it took him forever to operate a computer and submit a credit application (misspelling my name and my address multiple times even though I was correcting him each time). The BEST part about this place is the CarFax. If this thing is filled out with all the car history then you are able to lift the shroud of mystery on buying a used car.
